Great experience and very well laid out. Went during the weekday so we didn't get to see the zookeeper talks about the highlighted animals. Food and beverages were way overpriced. Lots of animals that interact very well! Lots of fun feeding the goats, giraffes, and birds so go ahead and splurge the extra cash. Make sure to get the adventure pass and experience the train ride around the park where you'll see even more wildlife! If you get hot hangout in the bathrooms beside the bears, it's extra cold and refreshing during hot days.
We came in April from out of state, Oklahoma to be precise, and we almost didn't come to this zoo because of the few bad reviews it had but don't let them fool you. We absolutely loved this zoo and wish we had this style back home. The bad reviews talk how small the zoo is for the price and how the layout is funky but I think the size of the zoo brings in elements of intimacy with the animals that you don't find at other zoos. I've never been as close to a lion or kangaroo or gorilla as I had been at this zoo. Our 1 year old was so excited to see every animal because it was staring her basically right in the face from its enclosure. Don't let the bad reviews, price and square footage of the park fool you, we loved it and will come back again if we ever are in the area.
We loved it here! Cute park with visible animals. We loved the birds!
The food for the animals and thr people is a little overpriced but thats just a normal xoo for you! The animals are amazing plus they are working on somee new exhibits

Had a really good time. Lots of animals and every one of the staff was super friendly and helpful. Really fun feeding the goats and giraffes. Baby giraffe was so sweet. Great family outing.
Everything was going great until we got to the Bears. Their place of confinement seemed inadequate with the lack of shade and their so called pond dead up in the middle of the sun. It hurt my heart to see this. They both paced back and forth in front of the doors leading into what I assume is their indoor housing. Just seems to me with all the money they rake in that the animals would be better taken care of.
I visited here 10-7. Very disappointed. I feel very sorry for most of the animals. They looked depressed and malnourished. Most animals are in small confined space, have no grass only the hot dirt to stand on. Very sad place to visit.
Amazing and adorable zoo! Love it!
Went here with our 7 year old while vacationing. We had a great time! Would recommend and would go again if we come back to Florida!
We went here recently and they let my daughter throw some food to a monkey during the feeding time! We do the train ride everytime, the breeze feels nice on a hot day. Feeding the birds and Giraffes are by far our favorite things to do!
It was fun. The little birds ya feed scared my son though. Course it landed on his head though. Really funny.
Love this place come down every year. And its always a fun time. Maybe need more activities for kids but the animals are always on point
I loved it here!!! This zoo is very, very well maintained and gives a great up close experience!
Great experience. Lots of opportunities to see and feed animals. There was such a variety and our family had the best time! we will be going back!
It was nice for a little walk but most of the animals had really small enclosures, especially the lions.
Not the Biggest zoo I have been too, but this place packs a bunch of animals in 50 acres of zoological wonderland. Lions, tigers, and bears are just a few of the animals you can see. A boardwalk spans an area home to bongos, zebras, white rhinos, orangutans, and a few other creatures. A little disappointed that I was unable to see the hippos from the train ride. This is the only way to see them and they were underwater through the 2 rides we rode. We were told the best time to see them is later in the day.
This place is pretty cool. Kind of small for a zoo, but the kids had a blast. You can pet some animals and some you can feed. They even have a small train ride that goes around some of the zoo.
Enjoyable small zoo. Kids loved feeding the giraffes and farm animals. The budgie apiary was a treat. This was a great break from the beach when the children had too much sun and beach. Lots of up close petting with a number of the animals including the giraffes. Bring sunscreen or a hat.
Very small zoo. Not worth the fee. Very hot and most animals not out Disappointing
This is a great place to take children or grandchildren. Our two grandsons loved the variety of animals and the opportunity to feed the birds, giraffes, chickens, and goats. They loved riding on the train and seeing the zebras, hippos, rhinos, and orangutans. It was pricey for a one day activity but the expressions on the boys' faces were priceless!
Me and my 3 yr old had a wonderful time here this is one of the best zoos we been to yet
Lovely little zoo. Lions and tigers and bears..and all that jazz.
I’ve been to this zoo several times over the last thirty years however today was the first day I went to the Gulf Breeze Zoo as a parent. In the last thirty years this zoo has made great strides in animal enrichment and diversity of programming offered to visitors. The zoo presents many animal experiences that are wonderful and appropriate for young children - my kids loved feeding birds, goats, giraffes - maybe next time we’ll try the Alligators! It has been an unreasonably hot summer and the poor animals show it. I noticed other reviewers complaining about it but there were misters and other opportunities to cool off available in every enclosure we visited. True, some of the animals weren’t as energetic as they would be if it was cooler, but that’s hardly the fault of the Zoo. The train runs once an hour, a bit disappointing when you have small children so you are trying to get maximum zoo coverage in a short amount of time. Though the playground areas near the train station to distract while waiting is a nice touch. My biggest complaint is one noted by many other users - it’s expensive. The entrance fee is on par with the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. We contemplated membership for the four of us and realized that for two adults and two children - Gulf Breeze Zoo Membership would be MORE than for a family membership to the Audubon Institute which includes not only the Audubon Zoo but the Aquarium and other properties and perks. I can’t say we won’t be back, but I can say that I doubt we’ll put our membership money here.
I am a local to the area yet coming here is always a blast. The admission fee is a bit steep however you can understand why based on the costs it takes to maintain the enviorment and health for the animals. Most everyone who works at the zoo is super knowledgeable and very friendly, great place for a day trip with family and friends. Be aware the goats
A great zoo to visit while in town! I recommend feeding the giraffes and budgies! Very fun and I will definitely be back.
We have been to at least 15 zoos and this was the worst zoo we have visited. Several of the animals were mislabeled. Paths to different animals were often not marked at all. You basically just roam around hoping you find an animal. Chickens randomly roamed the zoo for some reason. The staff were not rude, but they weren’t exactly friendly and helpful either. They do have a nice variety of animals and my daughter enjoyed feeding several animals.
Magical refuge for animals! Truly a must see. I’ve grown up in the area and even as a kid I don’t recall experiencing anything like it. As an adult it was impressionable. I was amazed with the amount of space they had available and everything they’ve made it into. This animal sanctuary makes me so happy. There are amazing photography opportunities here! Definitely ride the train! This can be an all day adventure with the amount of walking and animals that can be seen, but really can be seen in a couple of hours. They’ve created a very special place for these beautiful creatures. I loved feeding the giraffes and goats. One minute you’ll be feeding the animals and the next thing you know a goat is up on the rail or a brightly colored peacock is strutting it’s stuff nearby. So cool! Truly a great time for all ages. And when we first arrived we were greeted by baby goats! Baby goats! They could barely walk. Cutest thing ever.
Small zoo but you can't beat the animal interaction. Definitely buy the sticks to feed the birds! They are completely worth going all together. Cover the lettuce while in the bird enclosure or you'll be feeding the giraffes shredded lettuce. I will plan to go every time we visit Navarre.
Brought my kids during spring break and we arrived about 15 minutes after they opened. We went to the bird house right away so we could get rid of the little sticks of bird food. The birds were crazy hungry when we walked in. We were covered from head to toe in birds. The younger kids wanted to leave but their path was blocked in birds and you have to go around to the other door to leave. It was quite humorous to watch them inch along trying to avoid the ravenous birds. I was completely fine with being adorned with birds like a Disney Princess. My oldest daughter and really enjoyed feeding them. There is only 1 restroom at the zoo that I am aware of. There are a couple of vending machines with cold drinks that only take cash. There is a snack place but I don't know anything about it. Giraffes eat super expensive romaine lettuce... kids love to feed them and they appear to have a bottomless stomach. There is a train.... do not sit up front!!! It reeks of fuel and the engine is so loud you can't hear a word the narrator is saying. We had a really good time. It was crazy expensive for our huge family though.
We loved this little zoo! I've been to the St. Louis zoo, and yes it's bigger and has more to see, but with the GBZ you actually are much closer to the animals and get a way more personal experience. The Bird area where you get to go in and feed them was super fun and we had birds all over us! We also loved feeding the Giraffes and other animals.
Honestly, I kinda felt let down. 2 adults and three kids with the unlimited train ride and 4 bird feeding sticks was over a hundred bucks. I'd expect that from a bigger zoo like Dallas zoo , Miami, etc. I'm not trying to be a tight wad but the zoo enclosures lacked any wow factor. There were 3 or 4 enclosures that were just empty. Like its mid June really? The train ride was okay. But don't go for the unlimited rides it's not worth it. Trust me, one trip is all you'll need. There wasnt water fountains? Like its 90⁰ and 90% humidity, and 3 dollar feeding machines everywhere but I'm not buying my 3 year old a soda.
Very open atmosphere. Love being inside bungee bird area you can feed them as they land on your hands. Very clean zoo. Enjoyed train ride through out side area. Animals are not caged here. Their is a mote around them. I spent over3 hrs there.enjoyed feeding giraffe's. Will visit again
Great zoo so much fun. My family really enjoyed themselves.
We love to visit local zoo's and sanctuaries when we are traveling. This a zoo is a great one! A little expensive but small enough to get through the whole thing without feeling like we lost out on money! There isnt much shade so bring sun screen and hand held misters. My 3 kids 6 and under loved it. Our favorite part was feeding the giraffes and that there were no lines!
Best Zoo ever!! Very little commercialism. You can get right up close to the animals and feed them. Affordable and the train was fun!
Great experience. Free parking. Handicap accessible. Walk thru acres of animals and ride a train thru part of the adventure so you can see more wild animals. Children of all ages and Adults will enjoy feeding giraffes, huge turtles seeing lions, tigers and bears as they climb on rocks or growl from a tree perch. The monkeys will put on a show for you and will keep you laughing. Beautiful birds of all kinds sing and dance for you. They have a huge gift store and you you can buy food there to feed certain animals. Go and enjoy and don't forget your camera.
$21 for an entrance fee???????? Are you kidding me? Just. Wow. No thank you. I cannot believe that they charge THIS much for ONE person to gain entry into this zoo.
This is a good zoo when it comes to variety of animals. They look very happy and well cared for. The prices for entry and attractions are a bit pricey, but I didn't see a huge crowd and the costs of maintaining a zoo can be expensive. We got the whole zoo done in 3 hours even taking our time.
We love the Zoo! Especially the Aviary! Great family fun! ❤
This is a GREAT zoo!!!! So fun and a great number of animal exhibits that allow you to interact with the animals! You can feed goats, pigs, llamas, giraffes, and even the alligator! So worth the visit!
This zoo was just the right size so that a person could see all the exhibits at a leisurely pace. All the animals, including the lions & tigers, were close enough to humans so that the animals true size could be appreciated. Feeding the giraffes was a special treat.
One of, if not the best zoo I've visited. Several of the animals were being taken care of and recovering from injuries, which showed me how much the staff cares for the animals. Gulf Breeze Zoo really had a much better atmosphere than other zoos and I highly recommend anyone with or without kids to visit!
It was fun and lots to see. Working on updating exhibits.
Went for Boo at the Zoo. The trick or treat trail was very cute, specially if you bring kids. The animals look well taken care of, buying the food to hand feed some of them is a good way to support the zoo. The goats were super friendly and we loved petting them. Feed the Giraffes!!! It's awesome! It's a good size for being a local zoo and they have a good assortment of animals. Take a day, make the time, it's worth it.
Recommended for anyone! Love that the layout is easy flat walking! Priced right too! Enjoy!
What an unexpectedly great zoo! Clean and well run, with a variety of animals in nice-looking enclosures. The little train ride is well worth the extra two dollars on the ticket. Big petting area and giraffe feeling for the kids.
Great little zoo. Very well kept.
Was skeptical of this place at first but was taken back at the quality of it. Admission was a bit pricey but giving the location it’s understandable. The zoo is nicely laid out with plenty of animals to be seen. The giraffe feeding station wash favorite part, I’ve never been that close to one before. If your in the area it’s definitely a fun place to stop and check out.
My family loves the Gulf Breeze Zoo. We have lived in Navarre for a year and a half and have visited 3-4 times already! Favorite part is feeding the little birds you have to check it out.
Nice up close encounters with animals. Family friendly. Nice Zoo but overpriced compared to other Zoo's such as the Toledo and Milwaukee Zoo's that are much nicer and offer more.
It was a lot bigger than I expected. It was great.
Not the biggest zoo, but definitely a very good zoo to visit. Good for an afternoon and easy to stroll thru in a few hours. Very clean and well cared for animals. The animals seem to happy and often interact with guest. The last time we visited, the monkeys were the most active I’ve ever seen. You can feed most of the animals. Feeding the giraffes is especially fun! The grounds are maintained well and native flowers and trees line the walking paths. And don’t forget the train ride. You’ll get to see a whole different part of the zoo where lots of animals roam free.
Exceeded expectations! Great experience! In many ways I enjoyed this place more than larger city zoos I've been to.
I love animals and when I go to a zoo I do not want to see them in small cages. Here the animals roam around in paddocks. It is great to see.
30 acres is not much room for a zoo. However they did an amazing job. The layout and the walking are just right for seeing all the animals without having to backtrack and repeat steps. Very kid friendly and lots of opportunities to feed and pet the animals. The train ride is a little cramped but being 6'4 anything is cramped. The staff are very friendly and are willing to answer questions if you have any.
Clean and well-kept. The animals seem happy and content. Train ride is fun and gets you a little closer to some animals and allows you to see animals you otherwise can't see, like the rhinos. We really enjoyed feeding the giraffes. It is $5 to feed them and worth much, much more for the memories and photos alone!
Good for families with small children. Wheelchair and stroller friendly. The kiddie train ride could use some better waiting area organization.
Love taking the grandkids here. They love feeding the animals. The best thing is the train ride.
We LOVED the zoo itself, however my mom was taken away by ambulance due to uneven concrete sidewalks. . The staff was wonderful, but that is probably not the first trip and fall due to sidewalks that weren't flat enough to use with a Walker. Staffs responded quickly and appropriately, but it was avoidable with some improvements in maintenance. It was pricey to get in but the hospital bill will make it even more pricey. Consider this if you are disabled or taking the elderly with you.
Small zoo but unique kids loved it
We had a great visit yesterday. Very nice. The animals seem very happy. Everything was clean. Well done zoo staff! We really enjoyed being so close to the animals. Great experience with the lions!
Most of the animals seem content (giraffes, ibex, gorillas) some even seem quite happy (budgies, goats, some tortoises). Others seem underfed and anxious (like the lion) and others have worn pathways in their cages from pacing with anxiety (anteater). I did have a great time interacting with the giraffes and budgies, though, so it wasn't all bad. I like that they have conservation information and support efforts to save animals, but overall it left me feeling that the $20+ that was used to buy a ticket should've just been donated to a good cause.
The Zoo was fantastic! Feeding the birds was amazing. Overall it was a great time. Customer service in the gift shop cost them the 5th star. She seemed like she didn’t want to be there and was rushing us to check out. Needless to say I didn’t spend much was way too rushed.
Wonderful outing for children. They can feed giraffes, tortoises, alligators & of course goats in the petting zoo. They also have hundreds of brightly colored parakeets in an aviary that you can feed. You can rent a wagon to pull small children in. They have a couple of nice playgrounds the children enjoyed. They also liked the train ride. They have a fast food restaurant with a limited menu: chicken fingers, fries, etc. I took a star off for the bear enclosure which was sadly lacking.
This was the most child friendly zoo. The petting area was huge. We all had a blast. They had babies of all kinds.
I made great family memories here! Somehow, I have only visited on hot days and still enjoyed the visit. School field trip was great! If you stay until closing time, you can see the animals more active waiting for their feeding time. I wish the giraffe platform was still there but you can still feed them lettuce and pet them.
Concessions and drinks are extremely pricey for a lack of choices. $3.00 for a bottle of water at the vending machine that half the time doesn't work and only takes exact change. The value of the zoo itself is good, but if you factor in concession and vending prices it drops considerably.
Love this zoo, very nice ,personable persons taking care if the animals. Gentleman that is maintenance was very helpful
Great zoo! It is a little pricey but they do a lot to help with conservation and educational projects. The staff is very knowledgeable and are willing to answer any questions you may have.
I decided to take my family to the zoo, and had a great time. We enjoyed the walk and all of the animals. We had some food at the cafe while we were cooling down and it was pretty good! The food was a bit pricy though. We finished seeing all of the exhibits in about 3 hours, and overall had a good experience.
Overall, a great little zoo. Accessibility wasn't great, there were several paths that were unpaved and unimproved. As a result, some of the animal exhibits are unreachable by wheelchair. We saw the entire zoo in just about 2.5 hours, at an easy pace. In the end, I definitely recommend it. They are clearly working to improve things. The staff was very friendly.
Beautiful zoo, petting area.. feeding the giraffe was the best!! Pick a day that isn't too hot and you can easily spend the whole day!
Great zoo. We love the safari train but wished it ran longer than 15 minutes. We visit whenever we're in the area.
Fun for family, but very expensive. Make sure to take your own food and drinks and eat in the picnic area by the parking lot. It cost $3 to buy a Coke in one of the machines throughout the zoo. Very clean facility. Restrooms are also very clean. Staff are very friendly. Also, they give Military discount; I believe $1. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because everyone has room to improve and the cost of everything. Would I return? Probably so, but not in the near future.
Absolutely love the size of this zoo. Feeding the giraffes is an amazing experience for the little ones. The bugeries are also fun to feed! The safari boardwalk is perfect to see the animals from above. The train ride gives you a deeper exploration into the preserve. If you are local, a zoo pass with a friend is a perfect way to save money on return trips. The staff is so friendly.
I throughly enjoyed this zoo. My kids had a blast. We enjoyed feeding the animals and the train ride the most. We will probably be back in the near future.
Loved this zoo, well worth the money.
Wish they had water fountains around the zoo. Instead, they want $3 for a bottled water. Avoid the cafe, it's too pricey for what you get. Better zoos for better prices but the animals seemed happy and healthy!
This is my favorite zoo! I grew up going here and they have made so many improvements over the years. The animals feel so close and there are multiple opportunities to feed and pet some of them. We loved it.
Smaller but so many animals . Definitely do the train ride
Nice zoo and the staff was friendly except the cashiers were blunt and cold upon entrance into the facility and didn't offer maps of the place. The train operator and staff was very nice and assisted with boarding etc. and with a smile!
Nice zoo with a variety of animals. It is a decent size with good sized habitats for it's residents.
Very nice zoo for the price.
Lots of animals and a train ride that my kids loved quite a bit. Their habitats put you up close and person with a lot of animals with was a really cool experience. A little on the pricy side but otherwise a fantastic time.
This zoo is fun. We love to feed the giraffe's and goats. The
Great place. We ended up buying a year membership for the family.
It's a decent size and a very interactive zoo. You can feed the animals and talk one-on-one with the animal care-takers.
Love this place animals were awesome and staff was friendly
I like what the zoo is doing to support Conservation and protect wildlife around the globe... I am generally anti-zoo, but wanted to get a first-hand idea of how well this place cares for and protects its animals. I wish one of the pigs' teeth were better-trimmed (in the barnyard area), but overall the animals look to be healthy and have clean, spacious (relatively speaking) enclosures. Zoos are important for helping people relate to the predicament of animals and learn compassion. I wish we didn't have to take them from the wild, though...
Beautiful Zoo. Very helpful and educational staff. We had never even heard of a White Peacock, they were gorgeous! We loved getting to feed and play with the birds, feed the goats and llamas (and the pig), the alligators and most of all the giraffs. We had an awesome family day!!
Nice zoo, animals are wonderful especially the giraffes and zebras. The price for admission is high but understandable since it is a private zoo.
Not bad, got to feed the giraffes and the llamas. Didn't expect them to have lions and tigers but they did. And the island that the gorillas and orangutans were on was awesome. Overall the family had a good time even though it seemed as if we breezed through the whole park quickly.
We love this zoo and have visited about 7 or 8 times during our vacations to the Gulf coast. It is always super clean and the animals seem very well taken care of. My two year old son had a blast. The animals are all easy to see unlike some zoos. The train ride is lots, you get a chance to see several animals that you would not get to see otherwise. On our second trip around we were able to see the rhinos really good. Normally I would give 5 stars but we ran into the rudest two people working. The janitor on a golf cart was complaint about being tired of working so I know they were having a bad day. She screamed at us as we attempted to pick up a piece of lettuce my son dropped while feeding the giraffes. Very rude and unprofessional. They refused to get it for us as well.
This zoo is a lot of fun. The animals seem to be well taken care of. You can feed the giraffes, alligators, budgies and many other animals. Our favorite part was the budgie feeding. Be warned the budgies love to land on you.
My experiences with zoos have varied greatly as we try to frequent them often when traveling with our small children. I was delightfully surprised by the smart layout, well tended grounds and the thoughtfulness of the enclosures at the Gulf Breeze Zoo. The food court is inside and cooled, again a smart move when considering Florida's temps, and offers an array of attraction-type foods. There is a very large, shaded playground area co-located with the cute train that takes patrons throughout the park. While there was some ongoing construction during our stay, it did not detract from an overall pleasant experience. A Pensacola must for groups traveling with children!
Just fine, as zoos go. The talks are always worth it if you have kids old enough. The giraffe feeding and train ride are highlights. Come as soon as they open to avoid the heat and crowds. You can see everything in about two hours, so you can get done by noon and skip their fried food offerings.
What a beautiful, tucked away gem! Small enough to not wear yourself out but large enough to see all kinds you'd expect from the bigger zoos. The best part is that there is so much interaction - you can feed alligators, birds, giraffes, and I got closer to the Tiger than I've ever been... I could smell him and hear him breathing as he walked by the fence! Don't miss this place.
The family had such a great time. Something we thought was extremely interesting..their staff is mainly women. It was very nice to see those strong women getting in there and building them fixtures and carrying the heavy equipment.! The kids love being able to feed the animals and the petting zoo. The only down side is the tiger and the male lion looked beyond hungry. Give them babies some more food and five stars all wayy.!
It was good. The animal food is ridiculous priced. 5$ for 4 small romain leafs. But other then that it is what you expect to see at a zoo. I miss the african wild dogs.
My family and I had an absolute blast! We went through the whole park, ate snacks, and rode the train! It was an amazing day! The only thing that looked like it needed work was the bear exhibit. The zoo has most definitely been revamped and I'm sure the bear exhibit is on their to do list!
Clean and beautiful. Had a great time!
A very cute little zoo. We just moved from the Denver area (which has an awesome zoo because it's DENVER)...But, The Gulf Breeze Zoo was extremely enjoyable and we are seriously considering a membership...someone here came up with the idea of letting the zoo visitors buy cups of food they can feed to the animals. So, many of the animals expect it and walk up to the fence as soon as you approach them. FUN!!!!
Just wow! Best Zoo we've been too. So much interaction to do with the animals, a train ride, friendly informative staff, Zoo super clean and animals well cared for. Plenty of restroom areas, playground, small cafe. Definitely recommend this Zoo!
One of the better Zoo's I've been to in regards to enjoyment of walking around and simply seeing the animals. The Zoo is well organized and easy to see everything and feed some of the animals within a few hours. There is a train ride you can buy tickets for, a restaurant in the Zoo, and a nice park for children to play at. I do think their waterlife is an underused opportunity for them and would love to see them expand that in the future if possible. The zoo was undergoing maintenance but was well maintained and clean. A solid 4, almost 5 stars.
A great little big zoo for the whole family. I take my son many times a year and he loves feeding the animals/ fish. Also they have a train that rides you around the zoo!
Over the years growing up here, it's been nice our area has had this zoo and i'm thankful for it. very beautiful property and good variety of animals
She screamed at us as we attempted to pick up a piece of lettuce my son dropped while feeding the giraffes. Very rude and unprofessional. They refused to get it for us as well.
Absolutely lovely place to visit. We fed multiple animals and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A must-see of you're ever in the area!
Great zoo! Big but not too big. Great assortment of animals. Best part is feeding the giraffes! A bit expensive if you have a larger family plus extra for the food for the animals. Boo at the zoo was fun....expected a bit more candy along the trail but it was a fun experience!
The staff was awesome and the animals were all so funny and fascinating. The lioness came out and roared for us! Very kid friendly too.
My husband & I accompined my son's class field trip to the Gulf Breeze Zoo and he had a blast! For it being one of the smaller Zoo's I've been to (considered to the Zoo's in bigger cities) throughout my life, it was really jammed packed full of exhibits for you to explore! I certainly give them 5 stars for a class field trip experience..Not only are the kids learning about the animals and exploring their habitats but they are a little scared and amazed at the same time getting to interact up close and personal with these wild animals that they've only seen on TV or in books before this. So it's truly a great pick to take groups of Children or even just your own family too. If your wanting to have an educational & interesting outing but also experience spectacular thrills and up close in person encounters with the wild, then this is the perfect place to accommodate you!!
This is a really awesome Zoo. The wife and I got to feed the animals and stop in to each area to learn about each animal. The have a person that goes around and talks about a few of the animals and will answer any questions you may have. It's well kept and very clean.
Excellent exhibits with animals that appear to be comfortable and happy under the circumstances. This was a wonderful family visit to the zoo and the children were completely exhausted after we made it to every area. The train ride was a great experience as well!
This zoo is a lot of fun. The animals seem to be well taken care of. You can feed the giraffes, alligators, budgies and many other animals. Our favorite part was the budgie feeding. Be warned the budgies love to land on you.
Okay zoo for kids. Limited scope but some interesting animals.
Had a blast here, wonderful place to visit.
Nice zoo. I went for the reptiles, and they no longer have a Herp House. BUMMER.
Wonderful and up close, my grandchildren loved it.
Loved feeding the giraffes and budgies. Train ride was fun for all ages
A nice little zoo. We usually make it out about once a year and they had made a lot of Improvements since last year. Several exhibits had baby animals. Feeding the girraffes was fun and the kids loved the petting zoo and the the budgie house. The price was reasonable for an attraction this size.
A great time for a reasonable price. Clean park with caring Zoo keepers.
My favorite zoo! Very intimate and beautiful facilities/grounds. Feeding the giraffes and budgies is a must. Kira the lioness is my favorite. You have to add the train ride to see many of the animals. A bit pricey but worth the trip. I recommend bringing food. The cafe has a few options but not so great.
Boo at the zoo with my toddlers was fun
The zoo was very well maintained. Staff was friendly. Animals looked well taken care of. They have a petting section and you can feed goats and pigs in one section. Feed birds in another. Feed the gators, gator biscuits. And feed the giraffes greens. Our daughter loved the feeding section. They also have a neat train ride that is informative. They also offer food, snacks, cokes, bottle waters, and much more at the watering hole. They also have an outdoor playground.
Nice zoo for the area. If you are visiting and want a day away from the beach this place is perfect
Weather was bad one day on vacation so we decided to check this out. It's a neat place no too overly priced for tourist spot. You can feed birds, giraffes, lamas and goats. There is train you can ride but get in line early or you won't get a seat. Hang on to your feed cup, the goats will try to take it.
A great place to visit! The giraffes, lion, zebras and the budgie cage were the best part of our visit, but we liked the bear, monkeys and train ride too! Wow! Come to think of it, we enjoyed everything! LOL! A super place to spend the afternoon!
It was amazing,I loved fedding the animals and learning about them...the trade ride was also fun. The zoo is not big but definitely worth it and I recommend going there on the weekend with family and friends
Fun zoo with exciting and interactive exhibits. We loved feeding the giraffes and riding the train.
Granddaughter loved it the train ride only 15 min
Had a great family day at this zoo. it was clean and the animals seem to be well taken care of and happy.
Ive been going to the Gulf Breeze Zoo for years and now I take my kids. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable and the attractions never let you down. I highly recommend taking the train tour and feeding the animals... Especially the giraffes =)
Just fine, as zoos go. The talks are always worth it if you have kids old enough. The giraffe feeding and train ride are highlights. Come as soon as they open to avoid the heat and crowds. You can see everything in about two hours, so you can get done by noon and skip their fried food offerings.
We had another lovely visit at the zoo!
Nice zoo. Love feeding the budgies and giraffes.
Nice zoo and lots of shade which is greatly appreciated on these hot summer days. It seems a little sketchy that you have to pay for a train ride in order to see half of the zoo. They really just need to have one price with that included. $100 for a family of 5 to visit any zoo is pretty ridiculous.
Great experience! My husband and I went and had a great time without the kiddos
Kids loved the animals being so close up.
Wonderful little zoo. The bird enclosure was our favorite, but the whole thing was good.
Very good zoo. Better than many. Not too packed, and you feel close to animals. Kids loved it. Good playground, awesome experience feeding parakeets loved the visit.
Awesome place to visit with family. My three year old really enjoyed it especially feeding the giraffes. The whole experience was nice. I recommend getting the Adventure pass with the train ride. We were able to see hippos, rhinos, gorillas etc while doing the train tour (about ten minutes). They also have a kids playground which was an extra.
Knowledgeable staff about their animals, an amazing wildlife. This place is reasonably priced and fun for the whole family. you might want to pack a lunch though because their food court is on the expensive side.
Very good zoo. Better than many. Not too packed, and you feel close to animals. Kids loved it. Good playground, awesome experience feeding parakeets loved the visit.
Pretty large zoo. I've been an annual pass holder for a few years now. Highly recommended!
Great Zoo wasn't too crowded and your able to just enjoy every inch of the zoo... We will go back
it was my granddaughters first time visiting a zoo. we had a great time. it's just a little pricey.
While we were in the zoo this little guy was born it was awesome. Life is a wonderful thing when you witness it
Really nice and clean zoo with a good amount of animals.
One of the highlights of out trip. Love animals so absolutely love this zoo. So many animals to see!! And the train ride was awesome!
Great zoo! It is a little pricey but they do a lot to help with conservation and educational projects.
Every time we come to Pensacola FL this a must stop for our family. The people who work there care for the animals and love there job! My 4 and 8 year old enjoyed there time there!
Full of adventures. The food court could be updated to speed the process up because I felt like we spent more time in line then looking at the animals.
Very nice zoo. You can tell the animals are well taken care of and all of the animal enclosures were clean. We loved the train ride area but wish they would expand the walk way to go further into the safari area.
Very nice Zoo. Open layout, no crowds, knowledgeable staff. Lots of fun.
Super cool zoo. Difficult to find but totally worth taking kids. The people were super friendly. The only issue was the bathrooms were all poorly lit
You can feed the birds and graff. The staff are nice. Kinda pricey, but well worth it! There is also a pretty neat train ride.
Gorgeous animals and polite staff. Definently going again
Very clean, animals were all out and active. The zoo is small but area is used well. Lots of animals not at smaller zoos. Clear views for smaller kids. Employees are helpful and friendly.
Our favorite zoo!! Our teenager and our 7 year old equally have fun here. They love feeding all of the animals. The train ride is a must!
Excellent place to visit. Very clean and the animals very well kept.
Was very educational, super fun and in very good order, I will definitely be coming back.
Excellent and enjoyable. Nice little zoo. Not crowded and clean
So I want to be a zoologist when I grow up is this a good zoo to work for?
Very interactive zoo. Kids loved being able to feed all the different animals
We were staying in Gulf Shores but decided to just go drive along the coast for the day and ended up at the Gulf Breeze zoo. The main part of the zoo is kind of small but the zoo train circles another area where you can see more animals not accessible otherwise. We spent about three hours here, part of which was circling back around to see all of the baby animals a second time.
What a spectacular zoo. Plenty of covered areas to enjoy the animals in the shade. All the animals and habitats are well maintained.
Great place to spend a day with the family. Don't make any other plans for the day and have a relaxing and educational day with the animals..
Great selection of animals. Low cost. Also can pay to pet a sloth and some other animals
Great place to take kids definitely on the pricey side of things though.
Really super nice zoo. Feeding the critters was so much fun ;
Not a big zoo, but a very quaint zoo. Easy to see in one day. Very clean and well cared for animals. You can feed most of the animals. Feeding the giraffes is especially fun! Beautiful native flowers and trees line the walking paths. A great place for all ages!
Gulf Breeze Zoo is a great experience! It's a little pricier than some zoos, but it's worth the money. My girlfriend and I went and had a great time. I recommend getting the $10 package that let's you feed the giraffes, farm animals, and the birds. The birds will land on the stick you feed them with!
Great local place for a great time at the zoo. Well managed place.
It was pretty big lots of cool animals like the silver back and lions very very close , the train ride is a must dont skimp it was worth it , we saw some wildebeest stampeding with the elk BADASS!
This zoo is perfect not to big and not to small. Can actually see everything in one day . Very well kept also there is a little playground so the kids can play .
We had fun give to our local zoo
We had a good time at this little zoo. We fed Alpacas, Giraffes, Turtles, goats/sheep, and Budgies. So many if the species had recent babies - all marked on the fences, Some birds had obviously been saved. We took a ride on a little train through the Savannah area. Then walked on the small boardwalk to the observation deck. Feeding the Budgies was the best. Plenty of restrooms and a snack bar on site.
Nice zoo, the train only goes around a small section but definitely worth the add on, has open animal areas which with kids would really be exciting. Good family event.
My kid loved this place, especially giraffes and train raid. It is a nice place, nicely maintained, good to visit with family and kids.
Fun place for everyone! Memberships are well worth it if you're local. We've seen something new every time we've visited. Lots of animals, playground for the kids to play on and you can feed the giraffes and other animals.
Awesome lil zoo nuthing crazy but definitely a good time. Great place to kill some time, and good for kids.
Go as soon as they open!!! By 11am Most of the animals are going to be reat or taking a nap. Great place and looks like they are adding on as well!
It was just a fun place to got and take pictures of the beautiful animals and hangout with friends and family
I like it. The zoo had a very mellow atmosphere. I saw lions and a black swan.
