Went there to do tastings, and no one was there. Like, it was during the hours they were open, the door was open, and four other groups came... But no one working there. A sign saying "we are closed" or "we will be back in x minutes" would have been nice. So... That's cool.

Good wines. Tried the dry varietal tasting and enjoyed most. Very friendly hosts and super nice picnic area. Also very reasonable prices. Lots of live music during the season. We will return the next time we head to PA.

Dan Becker

We liked the wines and loved the tasting room because the weather was nice. We ordered some glasses of wine and had Gouda cheese and crackers and just hung out for a while. There are only fans and no air conditioning, so you may want to skip this one if it is too hot.

Lots of fun

N39 is an amazing full bodied, dry red. Their events are growing and they work hard to select an eclectic range of musical talent.

Dylan Dunne

Just a damn fine spot to find yourself on a Sunday afternoon. Good wine, and they have a dog. Zero complaints.

Last night we opened a bottle of the new Jealous Mistress. It isn't a full body wine like the former wine with the same name. It was surprisingly good, so soft and flavorful without being sharp or bold. It compliments pizza (and I imagine other spicy foods) with a smooth finish. We can't wait to try it with other foods.

How about picking a better location instead of right on a blind turn to release their drunk customers.

Kind of a shame, the wine was really good and the staff knew their products they just we're not that attentive. They overall vibe spoke rushed, from the decor too the atmosphere but its no a dive, maybe it was just an off day for them. I likely won't be up that way again anyway for a long time so at least I know it's not worth going out of the way for now.

Wine 7/10 Tasting room 9/10 Staff 9/10 Food (small snacky stuff) 10/10 Price 8/10 I would give this place a solid 9/10. The wines were all good (nothing I actively disliked), the staff and environment was welcoming, and the price was very reasonable. I was most impressed by how many wines they had (~20) and by the fact that they were almost all made exclusively from estate grapes. This would be a great place to spend a long afternoon or to have a party or reception. I only wish we had more time to spend there and someone to drive us home!

Frederick Wine Festival 2016 - while waiting in the very long line to sample your wine, we were forced to watch the disgusting display of unprofessional and inappropriate behavior by one of your representatives. The older "gentlemen" in the flowered shirt seemed to believe that the festival was an open ticket to flirt with, kiss, and make sexual comments to the females attending. He spent more time conversing with the young females, intentionally pouring wine down the chest of one of the young female guests in front of us and commenting that his "was longer" than others. He ignored others in line, not seeming to care that we had all been waiting almost an hour in line to sample. Several of us that were forced to watch decided to go around him to avoid his disgusting display. With the price of the festival and the hour wait to sample in the heat, his behavior and attitude were not welcome and reminiscent of a sleazy used car salesman. Several of the men watching were angry and disgusted by his behavior toward the young females and thought he should be removed. We sampled our wine with a very pleasant young lady, bought a bottle of wine and couldn't get away fast enough. He's lucky that there wasn't an intoxicated jealous boyfriend standing near, there would have been a fight. I know several of the men in line wanted to punch him when he poured wine down the chest of the young girl. He would be the last person I would ask to represent my company. Completely disgusting.

The wine fest was my first experience with Knob Hall. The event was fine but the wine buying experience was less than satisfying. I knew nothing about the wine so I asked the server for a little more information. She showed me the wine list and said these are dry and these are sweet. The list had no further info. I asked her which were reds and I just got and annoyed look like are you going to buy something or not. So I picked one. The next time I went to a different area and got the same attitude. At this particular event customer service clearly wasn't a priority. There are too many wines in this price range to deal with such rudeness so I won't be returning.

This was an awful experience going to the Knob Hall halloween "scary" winery walk tonight. This place has drastically gone downhill over the last year. We paid for a drink beforehand and the owner, who was in the conehead costume so yes we know who the owner is, poured to the minimum drawn line in our haunted walk plastic cup....seriously?!?! We paid extra for an actual glass pour, not a sample pour and pay full price. Nobody was scaring you during the walk as the description said they would, you didn't even get pours to the minimum line, and only 5 stations. A huge disappointment and waste of $66. Don't bother going, so many better choices in the area.

Poor lighting for outdoor evening event. Cars cross over to parking lot which could be dangerous to attendees. Bathrooms were not in order do they’re sent us up to an apt where laborers were living. Totally not appropriate. It was embarrassing. For them and for myself. No human should be treated in. That mannner. You can not host an event if you don’t have public restrooms!!!

I don't know who was running the tasting booth, but I was absolutely humiliated today. I had no idea there was a limit on tasting (6 tastes if you are wondering), it was not communicated at all when I began my flights. In front of other customers, I was looking forward to tasting 3 of their sweet wines and the gentleman stopped me in my tracks saying, "haven't you tasted enough", "you've had some of our premium tastings already" - which I had absolutely no idea they were premium what-so-ever. None of this was communicated in advance or of course I would have planned my 6 tastings accordingly. Many wineries I visit are not so limited in their offerings. I was not at all inebriated, very polite, and so embarrassed in front of the other patrons simply trying to enjoy the day and this winery with my family. So, red-faced and ashamed I purchased a bottle to sit with this and figure out what I had done wrong. My in-laws purchased a case as well. But I live in Berkeley Springs and have visitors often who I will be sure to steer away from Knob Hall Winery. The man behind the counter clearly needs some customer service training at the very least. What a disappointment. I was looking forward to ongoing business with this local winery. Never again and I'm telling everyone I know to skip this place and head to VA instead.

We went with friends and absolutely loved the atmosphere. We bought a bottle of the white sangria (we didn't try the red one, but the white was too good to pass up), and a bottle of the Jealous Mistress. Unfortunately, they were out of Gold Digger, BUT! we will be back in two weeks to pick up a bottle... And a sweater.

My friends and I usually make a point to go when the Flashbacks are there. We always have a wonderful time dancing to the oldies. Whether we are seated indoors or outside, the evening is always a lot of fun.

Fantastic selection, dry whites, beautifully oaked reds as well - le Reve rouge. Nothing cloyingly sweet!! High quality tasting, in a very rustic environment. Def. Put it on the list. Food: catered and local cheeses, breads, and farm fresh eggs!

Was here for the Keltic festival and the kids who were doing the parking made us park in a ditch and messed my car up. I t had been two weeks and he is still hasn't repaid for the fixing. Owner is a scam and its over priced for wine. Wont ever come here again

Country barn style setting. The wines are diverse and tasty. They have a varied selection from dry to very sweet. The owner definitely has a sense of humor which is obvious by the names of the wines. They have frequent live entertainment and music. Be careful driving in and out since the hill is a bit steep with a drop off onto a gravel road.

Terry Furajter

Great venue inside a barn. but parking is a BIG issue. Having ur guests park down a road which is dark n no sidewalks n no way of alerting traffic. Also then making those guests continue to pay the cover charge. Also they had no sweet wine available. They are a winery??? Disappointed

John Fox

Idyllic country setting with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. The actual winery looks like a renovated barn and has a lot of space and comfortable seating. They frequently host events so there’s a lot going on. The actual wine is good, perhaps not the best spot for people who fancy themselves wine connoisseurs but great for anyone who wants a wide selection of quality wine. They have wine slushees which is a fun treat on a hot summer day and there are cheese plates so you can go sit in the shade and enjoy your wine and cheese outdoors if you wish.

Mark Miller

Wonderful place. Their Jealous Mistress red wine and Sweet Revenge sweeter wine are both wonderful. This is a quiet, peaceful spot that is close to many attractions. We also stayed at their B&B and had a wonderful time.

Wine was fairly good, very personable server. Owner came in and he killed the atmosphere- he is rude and condescending. Won’t go back if he is there.

Friendly, knowledgeable owners and helpful staff encourage a relaxed, casual atmosphere. My wife and enjoy many of the wine offerings and even joined their wine club. Our favorite is the Sunday afternoon (3 - 5pm) series of tasteful local musicians.

Walked in to purchase some wine for a gift... Since I am not a connoisseur of wine... I asked some questions about different types of wine... The salesperson there was able to help me out and answered all my questions quite easily. I left there with 4 different bottles of their best sellers. Check their website before you stop by to make sure that they are open.

My husband planned a surprise party for me at knob hall in advance. The owner planned an event at the winery and made it very clear we were using his space for a full house that he didn’t have room for. During our party he sat guests of the event at our tables with our decorations and food. Needless to say, this was very uncomfortable. My husband paid per person and when our guests went outside to use the restroom, the owner tried to charge them again to come back in. I tried to email to speak about the issues we had, but never heard back. We were supposed to have the area in the barn reserved from 5-8 and everyone was gone by 7:15 because we felt we were an inconvenience. Knob Hall used to be a nice place to relax and enjoy wine, but now it’s being ran by a money hungry owner in my opinion. **The event was Saturday, April 27th, 2019**

Layed back non- pretentious winery. Would rate it 5 stars but the restroom situation is a bit awkward.

I would have given a four rating based on the wine BUT during the tasting one of the wines I had severed to me had a dead fly poured from the bottle that end up in my glass. This wasn't discovered until I drank the wine. I was a very good sport about it and laughed it off after I pulled it out of my mouth thinking it was a piece of cork. The server was there when this happened. We were Not offered any compensation and had to pay for both tasting. At least my tasting should have been compensated without question. Especially on mother's day!

We saw the sign, so we stopped spontaneously. Everything was good. The Chambourcin was awesome... a very different taste. Great atmosphere, and the staff was so nice!
