They're always willing to work you into their schedule if there's an emergency, they're AMAZING with my pup & always hear out all of my concerns. When I moved to McHenry, I kept them as our vet & I make the commute any time we need to see a vet. Well worth the extra drive to keep my girl with a vet we trust and LOVE. Finally an Animal Hospital that's beyond expectations. Brought my Big Black Male Cat in around July 4th after someone blew a firecracker up in his face breaking his lower Jaw, along with several burns. Two other Vets in the area dismissed this as time to put him down, his regular Vet in the area I lost faith in prior to this. A friend / police officer, told me he takes his personal Dog to Lake Geneva and no where else. The desk people were compassionate and directed us to an examination room. There we met Dr. Scot who explained everything, from procedures on through cost. (Worried me a little being in a state of the art newer building in Lake Geneva) very professional but Dr. Scot was a personal kind of Vet like you'd see on the Discovery Channel. They took him in immediately, (the other Vets pondered). Keeping him overnight for observation after operating. Today he's fully recovered and the experience actually cost less then the other two Vets projected. Oh and BTW you might want to pick up a copy of Dr. Scots Book that he wrote.

I went to the clinic from out of state when my vet told me that my dog needed a repair of her ACL($4000.00). I didn't have that to spend and through some friends heard about LGAC. So, I called and talked to Dr.Scott. I was quoted a price of $2200.00. Still, a lot of money but much better than $4000.00! So, today was the day of surgery. I dropped my dog off and waited for a call. Dr. Scott called while my dog was asleep and recommended that we not do the surgery, as her knee seemed very stable. Yea! Money saved, and a long recovery for my dog averted! (I've had this surgery on another dog in the past). Thank you LGAC for being honest and conservative. We'll see how my dog does, but I'm very happy with the situation today!

Staff was wonderful. Great bedside manner letting my cat get used to them and her surroundings before doing the exam. They gave multiple options, explaining the pros and cons for each, for providing antibiotics. Very reasonable pricing as well.

We had to do one of the hardest things in the world. We let our dog Harley cross the rainbow bridge. Lake Geneva animal hospital was amazing. They explained everything step by step. They gave us as much time as we needed with her. They did not rush and they were so kind. It was one of the worse days of my life. Thank you for being so kind!!

Having to say good-bye to your most beloved, four-legged best friend is one of the hardest things to have to do. Dr. Schreiner and the compassionate staff made this process carefree and comforting. The understanding of what a family goes through when having to say good-bye is so delicate. Dr. Schreiner and staff were so thoughtful and caring as we went through this most difficult time. VERY EXPENSIVE!! It seems I always have to wait. Waited 30 min. yesterday . The Vet seemed kinda afraid of my dog (?!). He told me to stop giving my dog dog food with chicken, beef or grains before even looking in her ear.They seem to always push another test that should be done. Everyone seems nice, but it's overwhelming having all these mandatory things to have done on your pet!

I have had animals all my life and dealt with a lot of different Veterinarians. When it came to a time of need for my best friend this place accommodated me and took action. I have to say the professionalism of the entire staff took me by surprise. The kindness and the genuine feeling of comfort I felt when I got there was impeccable. I will always take my animals there from now on and refer everyone that will listen to me. If you love your kids (animals) like I do, give them a chance and bring them there. In my eyes this place is top dog and second to none!!!!

I live in Illinois and have a summer home in Lake Geneva. I have had to use the clinic essentially for emergencies. I have seen Dr. Welch each time and can not say enough about how great he and the whole clinic staff have been to me and my dogs (as well as others in my family who have had to come here.) I wish he was closer to home so that I could come here routinely.

I recently moved from Nevada, leaving my vet of 20 plus years. I didn't think I'd find another 'good' vet for my Yorkie, but happily seem to have done so at Lake Geneva Animal Hospital. Piper and I saw Dr Welch who is a compassionate, thorough, kind, humorous, and extremely qualified veterinarian. Dr Welch eased my mind regarding when and how to give Piper medications and he explained things to me clearly and thoughtfully...And though clinic was crazy busy this day, I never felt rushed or hurried. The front counter staff is efficient, knowledgeable, attentive and quick to smile.

They are very nice but you can never get in... My dog has had ear infections, eye infections and you can't get in for a week. They have no late hours and actually open at 9am... Not very customer friendly if you ask me...

Moved to a new area and needed to find a new vet. Called to make an appointment and actually got hung up on mid sentence by reception. Thought maybe it was an accident , called back and set a date an time. Got there the day of for just a basic nail trim and had to sit in the lobby for an hour until I finally had to say something. Once is an accident. Twice and this place is just plain rude. They did waive the fee for the trim, but honestly dont feel a small waiver really builds confidence that they wont continue the same attitude in the future (and heaven forbid I be there for a more serious nature). I have very little free time to be wasting in a lobby and clearly they have more than enough business so we wont be going back. Disappointed

Great care, very polite staff beautiful office. Been going here for 7 years. One year we had to get our cat stitched up on the forth of July by the on-call vet who came in while office was closed. I personally expect that from any vets office. Well turns out they offer that service no more. My 15 year old lab suddenly started showing all the signs of a stroke new years day. I called the office and the answering machine gave me numbers to two 24hr animal hospitals both a hour away from my house. All 3 of my pets are getting very old and I need to know I can get help for them 24/7. This was the most painful agonizing hour car ride of my life. I can't bear to see or listen to a animal suffer any longer than it has to. I called quite a few other vets in area and they are more than happy to help if your a current patient within the last year. Not sure why LG animal hospital stopped this service as they've only gotten bigger and added more Dr's since I started going there. I am taking my pets to another vet this week to make them current patients.

Took my 10 week old kitten here to get her shots, and when I took her home she was very lethargic I assumed it was from the shot and she'd be back to normal but then 3 days passed and she hadn't eaten, pooped, peed, meowed, purred, nothing. So I took her back and they had no clue what was wrong with her and gave her an antibiotic and a steroid, and said bring her back in the morning, if she's not better she'll have to stay over the weekend and get a bunch of tests. I refused to have my baby poked and prodded all weekend so I took her some where else, they gave her some inflammatory meds and she started to get better, until one day I woke up to her not breathing anymore. I'm not a doctor but my kitten was happy, healthy, energetic and playful seconds before we took her to get her shots and after she was never the same, and I can't help but think if I never would have taken her to the vet to get the shots she'd still be here with me today. I can't for sure say it was something this vet did but from personal experience I will never take another pet here ever again.
