Been taking my fur babies there for over 16 years. They are kind, compassionate and go above and beyond every time.
It is impossible to write a review of "a" single experience at this clinic. I have been a client of Dr. Fox and Apache Trail Animal Hospital for 20+ years and the services rendered by Dr. Fox and her Staff has been professional, the exams are through, and services provided for a fair fee. Dr. Fox and her staff conduct each visit with the best interest of the animals in mind. They are hard working, courteous, and professional. They explain in detail the findings of their exams, and describe alternative treatments that are available. This clinic understands that their clients may have trouble scheduling office visits around specific work schedules or other scheduling conflicts and will work with each client to meet their scheduling needs. If you are looking for a reliable animal clinic, I would certainly recommend the Apache Trail Animal Hospital! Annie Fay Abusalem
The first time I went to Apache Trail Animal Hospital, my dog was sick and needed to be seen on a weekend. Even though my dog was a new patient, they were incredibly accommodating. Everyone - vet, nurse, and receptionists - have been incredibly friendly and welcoming, and have shown a true interest in the care and wellbeing of my pup. I was given clear instructions for her care, including a printed explanation for medications and what/when/how much to feed her, as well as suggestions on who to call if my dog took a turn for the worst (while Apache Trail was closed). I would recommend this vet in a heartbeat. My once-sick pup is now heathy and happy!
Muy buena atención aunque ya no se pudo hacer nada por mi bb
The staff and doctors are awesome. They pour so much care into our animals. Great place to take your beloved pets.
Best vets in town, hands down. They practice just enough alternative medicine (acupuncture, cold laser, Chinese herbs) while maintaining a high level of skill and service. They take amazing care of our high anxiety dog.
I just had my first visit at the Hospital. Everyone that I interacted with was very kind. Thank you for a wonder first experience.
I had to bring my puppy in, first time and last time....i had to make the decision to have him euthanized. Dr. Fox was wonderful, when it's time for us to get another puppy we will definitely be bringing them back here. I thank them so much for their sincerity and patience as I fought and cried with the decision.
We've been taking our cats to Apache Trail forever. They've seen us through heart, thyroid and kidney disease, arthritis, a severe fish allergy and even cancer. I've always felt confident that my cats got good care and that the doc's were thorough in their information. When we captured a feral kitten and she was very shy, Dr Lewis spent a while just cradling her in the blanket they had wrapped her in for her vaccinations and speaking softly to her so her vet memories wouldn't all be scary. I just wish the parking lot was a tiny bit bigger! Try not to go at 5PM.
Very kind let us in after hours for our lil pet emergemcy
One of the best places around to take care of your pets.
The staff at Apache Trail has always been there for my pets. Emergencies, check-ups or injuries--they responded immediately and were so kind and helpful to me during some very rough times.
Amazing vet. Love the doctors. They are very informative and treat you and your animal extremely well. They tell you like it is and don't over inflate or deflate a given situation. They don't shame people and they will not break the bank. Been going for years and nothing will change that.
They are reasonably priced to keep your pets healthy
Unprofessional and disorganized
Well trusted staff.
The staff at this place really loves what they do! This was my first pet and they really educated me in a lot of things to do regarding my puppy. The vet doctor handled my pup with such ease. Would definitely recommend them!!
After being disappointed at other vet clinics, we finally found our home at Apache Trail. They have been so good to us and our kitties. They remember us, work with customers on budgets, and very sincerely care about all of their patients. This place has always made us feel like family, and Dr Fox is a phenomenal vet. I love this clinic, and highly recommend them.
We have been using Apache Trail and Dr. Fox since 1996. They have taken wonderful care of our pets, and helped us do what is best for them. We have had nothing but great experiences with them, and would highly recommend them to anyone.
Dr. Fox and her staff are the best! I have been taking my animals to Apache for 2 years. I do a lot of rescue work and have had some very sick animals. The level of care and skill I have received from Apache is amazing. I have worked with a few vets in the past and the experience just did not compare. I recommend Apache to everyone I know. They will love your pets as much as you do!
I came to ATAH because my employer started offering a pet health care discount service through Pet Assure. So, I switched to come here rather than the vet that is half a mile from my home. Even after the discount offered through the pet insurance, the cost at Apache Trail was still significantly higher than if I had stayed with my regular vet for normal services such as inoculations and treating a common ear infection. So, I ended up driving 10 miles to spend more money. It was a pretty small space for two dogs with one being a Great Dane and expensive but the vet did seem to be very friendly and knowledgeable.
My family loves Apache Animal Hospital. Our dog is not normally social with a whole lot of people. The staff here is amazing. My pooch loves coming here.
Always do what's best for you and your animal. They never want to do them harm. My cat is a maniac when I'm not around but she acted WAAY better there than she did at the hospital I worked at. Super sweet. Always wanna help, and they're honest. They don't just want your money. Theyve also been right about my cats problems and fixed her up good Everytime.
ok place
I love this place ! They SAVED my dogs life and I am really proud of them . I would definitely recommend this place to anyone .
I couldn't recommend this animal clinic any more! Both Drs. Karen Fox and Kathy Lewis are competent and patient- they answer all my questions. They play soft music and have calming scent products to relax your pup during its visit. My dog actually fell asleep in the exam room- that's never happened anywhere else! Since my visit, I won't go anywhere else in Nashville.
I love Apache Trail Animal Hospital and the staff, my 5 dogs receive excellent care!!!
Apache Trail Animal Hospital has been our dog's vet and kennel provider for almost five years. The people who work there are some of the nicest and most honest people you could ever meet. They looked after our dog several times throughout the year when we traveled and always did a wonderful job of keeping him happy and involved. He never minded going there and knew all the people and they knew him. When time came to say goodbye after he was diagnosed with bone cancer at age 9, Dr. Fox and her team delivered compassionate and honest end of life care for our pet. We were very informed of the different treatment options and realistic outcomes and ultimately chose a path that we felt was best for our friend. We are truly grateful to all staff at Apache Trail Animal Hospital who treated us and our pet like family during this very difficult time, offered advice, followed up and checked in. To us, and our dog, it meant the world to know we were in good hands at all times. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Dr. Fox is awesome at her job! We trust our puppy Oliver with her and her team explicitly. She's always straightforward and lets us know costwise what to expect. Everyone has been wonderful!
Quick and easy setup and visit.
Dr. Fox and her associates have been kind and professional with us through many years and many of our pet family members. They have always been thorough in their examinations and explainations of the issue/s and available treatment options. Always keeping in mind our financial restrictions when applicable. I can honestly say that Dr. Fox has always gone above and beyond in helping us provide quality of life care for our babies. We will always continue to come to Apache Trail Animal Hospital, even if we were to move across town. But it is so nice to be less than 5 minutes away in case of emergency...which is always handled promptly. Highly recommend this group of veterinarians and their wonderful staff. The vet. tech.'s are suprisingly knowledgeble and well trained...much above the average vet. offices I've been to over the last 50+ years.
I just moved to the area and was looking for a new vet when I found Apache online. I have nothing but good things to say about my dog's appointment today. Sarah had a bubbly personality and was super knowledgeable. I also paid less here than at other vets for the same treatment (my dog has chronic ear infections). Will definitely go here again.
Dr. Fox and the entire staff are very kind and compassionate. They took such good care of our dog, Tiva, during her life, and were so kind when it was time to let her go. You just could not ask for a better vet.
Little pricey but great service
They've been my family vet for awhile now. Love them all and the personality of each person. I'll just post my youngest baby boy, Lugosi.
I went here for over 3 yrs. Dr. Fox was my vet. I went in for an annual and was surprised when a Dr. Lewis came in. I had never met her, so I was telling her about my dog. She thought checking her pancreas was a good idea. She didn't tell me that's very expensive. She forgot to check her ears, even though she has issues, it's in the chart people, and I had to go back. My next experience with her was after I had tried prescription food per Dr. Fox that she thought would lessen her ear infections. It immediately constipated her terribly. I called in and Dr. Fox was not there. This Dr. Lewis wanted to do X-rays. I just laughed and switched her food back and she was fine. There are vets like this. Money makers. If I went to work and left my dog out all day, maybe an X-ray, but she is at my side all day. I emailed Dr. Fox and told her that I wanted to see only her. She was somewhat defensive. In September 16' my dog was really sick. I took her to Dr. Fox. She saw her 2x, $800, and wanted to schedule sedation and X-rays for the next Monday. She said Dr. Lewis would assist. I told her as long as she was there, that was fine. I drove all the way there, and they said Dr. Fox would not be in until Thursday. I said "Are you sure? She told me she was coming in” They left the room to call her. They came back and said no, it would be Thursday. I told them I would be back Thursday. On the way home I was upset. My dog had not improved. A CAT was sched for Friday at a specialty clinic and all of that had to be done. On a friends rec I called a Dr. Manos. They called and got her records and did the sedation and X-rays and went into the swollen area behind her eye the same day. I called Apache the next morning and said I needed to cancel Thursday because I took her to be seen somewhere else. They said they knew already because they had called for the record. I emailed Dr. Fox and told her all of that. I just did not want just Dr. Lewis seeing my dog for something like this without Dr. Fox. I knew and trusted Dr. Fox. I mistakenly said I did not want any surprise padded bills. I meant it, but could have said it differently. Dr. Fox sent me a hateful horrible email. She said she WAS in fact coming on that Monday morning and the techs TOLD me that and I left anyway. That does not even make sense! Then she said I was petty for being mad at Dr. Lewis for running routine blood work years ago, and no one there would pad a bill. First of all pancreas blood work is not routine and a customer should be informed of the high cost. I emailed her back and said I did not say ANYONE would pad a bill, just Dr. Lewis, and I also apologized and said I should not have said the word "pad". I said that I just felt she was less conservative. Not even having been there Monday, she proceeded to dictate the visit and say the techs were taken aback by my attitude. WTH! I would laugh, but I am so shocked and hurt. I was not even upset at that time, just worried about my dog, and adamant about not wanting Dr. Lewis to be her primary caregiver. I really can't believe that having gone there for years, that they would treat me like that. I referred her to many people. I trusted her. In return she demonized me, said things happened that did not. She closed with good luck to you both. That's a goodbye right? Beware, if something happens that you do not like, they will circle the wagons and attack the customer. I am very saddened and upset.
we were looking for a vet and a place to board our dog and cat. well we could not have found a better place. both animals have be boarded several time and they were great treated them like family pets. on the vet side they all seem very knowable and are very up front with treatment options. great place and easy to get to.
Great staff very helpful.
Dr. Fox and her staff at Apache Trail have been taking care of my dogs (three so far) ever since I moved to Nashville in 2007. There isn't anyone else - or any other facility - I would trust with my four-legged kids ... PERIOD!!! The entire staff are all very kind, loving and highly professional, and I would recommend Apache Trail to anyone in need of veterinary services here in the Nashville area. MANY thanks from a very, very satisfied client and friend.
They love your pet almost as much as you do. Little Orson loves going for his check ups or for boarding when I go out of town. They are extremely helpful, especially when Orson puked and pooped on his first car ride ever and I didn't have a carrier. They actually came out and cleaned the mess out of my car's floor mats. It's always great knowing I can call them when I have any questions
Caring and honest! Great with our cat!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE, apache trail animal hospital, the docs n staff treat each pet as their own and as though they are the most important patient of the day, even the shyest of my dogs will easily snuggle up to these guys n i have an adult akita who had been abandoned n abused n just lights up when she sees dr fox...the entire staff from the front end to behind the scene are AMAZING..these folks take their jobs very seriously and this office is not in it for the money they are in it for the rewards of serving others n keeping our pets healthy. I could not ask for a better group of people to care for my 5 four legged children, n if ur pets are nervous abt going to the vet like mine, they are very sensitive and will get u in and out very quickly so u dont have to worry abt ur pet just growing more n more anxious...
They are so wonderful with our fur baby and all animals I highly recommend them
Very kind and wonderful staff. They try to ensure a family and animal are comfortable. Even when doing to task of letting one pass.
Some doctors are more personable than others here
Nice attention and they have someone who speaks Spanish
My family and I love Apache Trail. They always take great care of our cat Gabby.
We have been going to see Dr. Fox since she took over Apace Trail many many years ago. We have had her and the staff help us through new animals and be there during the sad days when we had to say good bye to several pets. They have always been caring professionals as well as considering us part of their pet family. I would not consider seeing any other vets. They go above and beyond what is expected of them.
Great people.
Dr. Fox and her team have taken excellent care of my little fur baby, Romeo. I was distraught to learn of his heartworm diagnosis last year. However, the staff patiently explained each step of the process and provided compassionate, quality care. Romeo even gets excited to go to the vet now! He loves all the attention and occasional treats. I wholeheartedly recommend Apache Trail Animal Hospital to anyone looking for veterinary services.
Staff is awesome and they're always so welcoming!
Apache Trail is the only animal hospital I have taken my pets to over the past 20 years or so. Dr. Fox and her trained staff have also provided exceptional service at a fair price. They have been compassionate when we have had to have our pets cross the Rainbow Bridge and provide us with detailed explanations to keeps our pets health and strong.
I moved to Nashville a couple of years ago and just couldn't find a vet practice that I was comfortable with or felt their compassion and knowledge met my expectations. Then happily I found Apache Trail! Everyone there is so helpful and understands that my pups are the center of my Universe. They work WITH me to provide the best care to my critters! I am so appreciative of all they do! I HIGHLY recommend them!
Great people
Great experience as always. We have been taking our pets to Apache Trails for 20 years now and would not think of taking them anywhere else. Dr. Fox and Dr. Lewis are experienced and caring doctors and the staff is well trained and considerate of our pets needs and feelings.
Apache Trail is fantastic. They are sensitive to cost concerns and very knowledgeable. Dr. Fox and her staff are wonderful and caring.
Such friendly staff and their prices are reasonable
The staff and practitioners at this office are some of the most kind hearted people you will ever encounter. They truly care about their patients and families.
Best vet and staff ever. We have used since 2004. Dr. Fox and staff realize our pets are our family also, so they treat them like family.Dr. Fox and staff alwayslisten to your concerns and are happy to keep you informed and help anyway they can.
Apache Trail is a wonderful place. They are the most caring staff I have ever dealt with. They are helpful and love the animals like they belong to them. If you want great care for your pet this is the place. Amanda Webb
We've been going to Apache Trail for more years than I can recall. Unless they were closed I wouldn't take my canines anywhere else. Top notch knowledge with equal compassion for both owner and pet make the a very special place.
This place had been around for a long time! The vets and their assistants are warm, friendly and knowledgeable. They have seen my pets and my family's pets through illnesses and old age, and have helped us through difficult decisions. I recommend them to anyone! Update: my mother had put down her yellow lab. At 14 years, she had been well taken care of, partially thanks to Apache Trail. My mom couldn't handle.putting her dog down alone, so I accompanied her. When we arrived, the staff was so kind. They brought us into a room, and gave us a blanket for the dog to lay on. They didn't rush our good bye, but let us take as long as we wished. Thank you very much, Dr. Fox and staff!
All the employees here are very polite and accomadating. From my first visit to the most recent one, their respectful demeanour hasn't changed.
Love this place. Everyone is very friendly.
Only dropped by for pet meds recently, but we've been taking our dogs & cats here for years with no issues.
Dr Fox is great to work with and I have found all her staff to be very compassionate.
Very compassionate and knowledgeable.
If you love your pets, DO NOT take them to Apache Trail Animal Hospital! Dr. Fox used to be a wonderful vet and has been my only vet since December 2010. Initially, I loved her and referred many people to her. In the last few years I have noticed a distinct change in her practice – what was once a concerned, loving, supportive office has turned into a money-driven, disinterested, uncaring, and unsympathetic office. At one point during my years of interaction with Dr. Fox, she complimented me on how connected I was with my dog. I knew his behaviors, I knew his personality; I knew “my boy” very well. The behavior he exhibited at that time was telling me something was wrong. I took him in to Dr. Fox, she did a CBC – and Rocky had pancreatitis! If she could acknowledge back then how connected I am with my boy; why then, would she not listen to me this time? On Oct 4, 2017 my twelve-year-old dog, Rocky, went to her office with the following symptoms: bleeding from his nose, sneezing, and a temperature of 101.2. The physical exam resulted in a diagnosis of a dental abscess of his right upper canine tooth. I pleaded with her to rule out aspergillus/fungal infection, a foreign body, and nasal cancer BEFORE she started removing teeth. I told her “I see no reason to put him through dental surgery if I have to put him down because he has nasal cancer”. Nasal and brain cancers are common in dogs over 9 years of age and in small Collie breeds; my dog is 12 and Border Collie mix. I knew in my gut the true diagnosis was NOT dental but Dr. Fox would not have that. She wrote in his records on Oct 4 that I asked for and wanted to wait for the results of cytology/culture BEFORE she did any dental work on my dog. She performed a nasal swab on Oct 5 but DID NOT do the fungal culture until Nov 3, when Rocky was still bleeding from his nose and now he was not eating. She did not do what I asked her to do on Oct 4, which was to rule out foreign body, aspergillus/fungal infection, and nasal cancer BEFORE she did any procedure on my dog. Instead, she pushed forward with dental surgery on October 10. In my opinion, Dr. Fox put my dog through unnecessary trauma, surgery, and torture from Oct 4, 2017 until Dec 15, 2017, when I removed him from her care. She charged me $1086.13 for treatments and drugs that were NEVER going to resolve his true issue. On December 19, I took Rocky to another vet and paid $150.00 for a 3-view skull x-ray (left side, right side, and top down) which gave his true diagnosis – NASAL CANCER! Interesting that Dr. Fox had said she was going to do nasal x-rays during the dental procedure – question - If she did nasal x-rays, how did she not see the HUGE tumor in my dog’s nasal cavity? I saw it as soon as I looked at the skull x-rays the new vet took. The new vet was unable to do anything to help my boy, except help him go peacefully. My boy, Rocky, crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 2:30 pm on December 19, 2017. I will NEVER forgive Dr. Fox for what she put my boy through when a shred of care or concern plus a standard skull x-ray could have ended his suffering back in October.
Excellent staff and veternarians
