I've been taking my beloved kitty, Albert, to COAH for many years now. I've always felt extremely well cared for. We have had yearly check ups and dental cleanings performed. I've always been able to get an appointment in a timely manner if something urgent comes up. A few times over the years I've called with questions and looking to make an appointment because Albert seemed to not be feeling well. COAH spent time patiently discussing what I was noticing and squeezed us into their schedule the next day but also suggested that I wait and see if he seems better by the morning (always the case) and just call them to cancel the appointment if he was doing well. To me, that is a sign of truly caring about my animal since they do not profit at all from me not coming in for an appointment and possible testing. They are simply a wonderful team!

My took my dog in and found out he has cancer. They were very good to him and and have been supportive the whole way around.

I will never use or recommend this veterinary clinic ever again after DVM David Colton Recomended that they should amputate the front left leg of my 3 year old female German Sheppard named Terra do to it getting infected from a cut she received a few weeks before..I decided to get a second opinion which thankfully I did because not only did she not need to have her leg amputated but the other vet that I went to said that her leg got Infected due to the lack of meds prescribed to me fro m dr Colton.needless to say this happened 4 years ago and my little princess is as healthy as can be with all four legs

Dr. Colton performed shoulder surgery on our young little cat that has given her the opportunity to live a pain free, very active life. He is our go-to vet for our dogs as well. I have always found his staff to be extremely professional and caring. I also appreciate the hours of time and skill he has donated to our local shelter working his orthopedic magic.

I want to take a moment to really highly compliment the Central Oregon Animal Hospital team. When my dog first injured his CCL, I called doctors all over Bend. COAH was the third vet I visited (only because of scheduling). I appreciate that the consult for the surgery was free. It was between 80-150$ at every other doctor in town. At the consult, Dr. Colton really took time to break down all of our options, which i really appreciated because I felt like it was extremely hard to get straightforward answers from the other vets we visited. I felt educated, empowered, hopeful, and taken care of after our consult (which again.. was such a relief because that's not the feeling I left other offices with). That feeling stayed with me throughout the entire surgery process. Dr. Colton and his team answered my questions, was there to help when I needed it, and generally just loved on my dog. I also felt like they were very at ease in dealing with my pup even though he can get a little defensive. AND they really worked with me to keep the costs down which again...was SO appreciated. On top of all that, I almost always had to bring my kids to the appointments (which was a little stressful for myself and my dog). But everyone in the office helped with my little "zoo". Sometimes they helped me load my dog in the car. Sometimes they helped me load my kids in the car. That type of service is definitely above and beyond anything i've experienced and it was so very much appreciated. The Money i spent for my dogs CCL surgery was easily the best money i have ever spent in pet healthcare. Thank you COAH!

I know our “kids” are in great hands at COAH. The doctors always share the utmost care and concern for not only the kids, but US too !!! Total trust. In fact, I tell my pet sitter - if someone’s ill/injured, just get them to COAH !!!

I have been taking my pets to Central Oregon Animal Hospital for over 20 years and I highly recommend them. I've been to many vets in my life but I feel Dr. Colton is the best! He is knowledgeable, experienced and so caring with the animals. He spends as much time as possible explaining treatment or recommendations. I get all my questions answered and never feel rushed. I feel very confident that my animals are in the best of hands and have never had a bad experience.

Always professional! The best vet care anywhere. Here is a picture of Dr Colton checking out Marco, my son's dog, here on a visit from SoCal.

I've been going there for 12 years and they take great care of all of my dogs. Two of my dogs were euthanized there and they made it so respectful.

I have had the pleasure of working at this hospital for 4 years now. I have never seen a more dedicated, professional, knowledgeable and caring practice before. Everyone here is committed to the BEST care of each patient. I respect and stand behind the recommendations /treatments of the doctors.

I love how well they have treated my pup and I .They always try to get us in immediately when an injury has occurred and have been so nice to my dog. I've been beyond pleased by their service.

I love these guys! All of the staff has been so friendly and on top of everything. So far I've seen Dr. Douglas and Dr Rewick with 2 different cats. They both have such a wonderful ability to listen, they don't rush you through the apt or treat you like just another client. I'm so happy to have been recommended to go there and I will continue using them as part of my animal's medical team. Here is Turkish, the first to have gone in to visit the clinic.

Bruce Hubbert

Knowledgeable, professional, and Dr. Rewick was trained by one of the best dental professors in US at the University of Colorado Vet. School.

Referring back to Tony Lunas review about his beloved dog red and the veterinary malpractice that was performed by this establishment I find it Noble of this establishment to admit fault however since the pharmacist lost his job 4 filling the prescription it seems only proper that the veterinarian lose his job for writing the prescription checking the prescription and then giving the patient the prescription to take home to administer to his dog which in turn killed his dog which I could not imagine how that must feel he is right he should not be allowed to work ever again in this industry May mr. Lunas dog rest in peace oh and by the way I checked with the Oregon veterinarian board David Colton DVM did not lose his license but he was suspended for one year

We We’re trying to get home to Idaho with a puppy who’d had emergency surgery in CA, and were thwarted by weather which prevented us from going further than Bend. We feared being in a strange city with a puppy who could have a complication, then our other dog started showing signs of a urinary tract infection. Taylor Douglas DVM Saw both the puppy and our adult dog, and treated the adult. He was so kind and compassionate. We’ve been through a lot this past week, and being in a unfamiliar city was scary. We can’t thank the Dr and the staff enough.

We’ve been going to COAH since the 90’s and couldn’t be happier. I’m always impressed by the level of knowledge and compassion shown to our furry family members!

The folks at Central Oregon Animal Hospital deserve the highest rating possible. My Juniper (chocolate lab) blew her CCL, which required a pretty intense surgery (TTA) and recovery period. We were so nervous and anxious. Dr. Colton put us at ease. Not only did he offer a free consultation where he explained in detail (using models, drawings, and described the history of this type of surgery), he also offered the surgery at a more reasonable rate than elsewhere in town. All in a packaged deal that included meds and several follow up appointments/xrays (no surprise charges). He really made me feel like I had a thorough understanding of what my girl was going to experience, what the recovery process would entail, and how to provide physical therapy at home. I genuinely felt like Dr. Colton and the staff at COAH cared about Juniper and her experience. I'll never go anywhere else as long as I'm in Central Oregon. Thank you, Dr. Colton and staff, for giving my pup the chance to run again.

Central Oregon Animal Hospital. is the only vet clinic I trust with the health of my pup! He has been a part of the COAH family since he was small enough to fit on the check-in counter. He’s always excited to go to the vet because the team at COAH makes each appointment a positive (pawsitive?) and fun experience. The admin staff is genuinely friendly, incredibly helpful, and always prompt and clear in their communication. The medical staff is truly knowledgeable and caring. All the vet techs and doctors are kind and honest. They make me feel like the health of my little guy is just as important to them as it is to me, and their thorough explanations at every visit help me understand the procedures and put my mind at ease. I even took my dad’s dog to COAH when he was sick, and the staff presented multiple treatment options with a breakdown of steps, benefits, potential side effects, and cost for each treatment plan. They helped me understand my options and gave me the tools to choose the best plan for my dad’s dog. I really do trust each and every doctor, vet tech, and staff member of Central Oregon Animal Hospital and I strongly recommend their clinic to anyone who is looking for an experienced and dedicated veterinary clinic for their fur family.

I am so thankful that my mom told me of this place. I have been to many places and seen many vets and Central Oregon Animal Hospital is the best. They are all so nice and careing and Dr Colton i cant say enough about him. He made me feel when my 12 year old golden, Casey had the cancer taken off her leg with no problems, he explained everything to me before the surgery to reassure me that she will be ok. And yesterday my friend and i took her 8 year old golden, merlin to see Dr. Coltin on a lump on the top of his head that some other quacky dr said it was cancer and will go to his brain. My friend was out of her mind with worry of loosing him as i was as well. Took him two seconds put his findings under a scope and no cancer. Him and his team are the best. May cost a little more than other places but its so worth every penny.

One star is way more than this Butcher shop deserves .to avoid slander and defamation of character what you are about to read ids the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me god.D DVM David Colton Was found Guilty by the Oregon veterinarians Association of veterinarian malpractice leading to the results of the slow brutal death of my 7 year old healthy Nail golden retriever named Red Dog after redhead injured his leg they prescribed him steroid known as meloxicam dr. Colton prescribe 75 times the amount of Meloxicam shutting his liver and shutting his kidneys down they did not know what was doing this surgery after surgery I finally realized it was the meds that they gave him which was too late we had to put him down he suffered for almost 2 weeks not knowing what was causing it was their prescription that caused it they were found guilty of malpractice and made me administer the drugs to my beloved best friend killing him slowly they were found guilty he lost his license for only one year he is now back to work it used to be called Central Oregon veterinarian Group LLC but after the lawsuit they had to change their name hence their new name Central Oregon at a hospital do not take your animals to this butcher shop I used to think they were good too until they did this horrible horrible Act they should all be locked in prison at best and at least should not be working in this industry whatsoever damn them the records are public and they are available through the Oregon veterinarians Association my name is Tony Luna this was three years ago

We currently have 3 yellow Labradors. COAH has never missed a beat. Our new puppy broke her wrist. Dr. Colton treated with a soft cast and after 4 weeks it was healed with no damage to her growth plate. Our oldest was a rescue and almost died as a puppy. COAH tested her for everything and anything to make sure they didn’t miss anything. The first 6 months were touch and go but with their excellent care of her she is happy and healthy and about to turn 9 yrs old. Our middle pup is usually pretty healthy but COAH makes sure they are up to date on shots and any other treatments needed. We recently had a Parvovirus scare. A friend was in our home and the next day her 18month old dog was diagnosed with Parvovirus. (Unvaccinated dog). We called COAH and they got all three of our dogs in for exams, testing and booster shots just to make sure. Our youngest was 6 mos and most vulnerable but she had had all her puppy shots. Then we were instructed to clean the house with this spray to kill Parvovirus and also bleach and water. Anything for our dogs. Our friends dog survived and our girls remained healthy thanks to COAH. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my veterinary care! We live in La Pine and don’t hesitate to drive to Bend to get the best care that COAH provides. Mark & Colleen Donzelli

This is a wonderful place. We took three dogs there during the 20 years we lived in Bend. Drs. Coulton and Douglas are great. (I'm sure the others are too.) Dr. Coulton came to our home when we had to put down our beloved bouvier. Dr. Douglas performed a miracle by carving out our doberman's aggressive cancer. He was expected to live six months, but it's been 1.5 years, and he shows no sign of slowing down. The entire staff is caring and knowledgeable. We miss them!
