I had a horrible experience with VCA West side and took my cat to Alb Cat Clinic for a second opinion. The vet took a lot of time with us and was very helpful and thorough. I will definitely go back.
No rushing. Very detailed. Very informative. Really listen. Very focused on tasks.
Everyone is quick and very professional, and all of the doctors do an excellent job, and truly care about there patients.
Really awesome clinic!
I was highly disappointed in the professionalism and care at ABQ Cat Clinic. I was a recipient of the city spay/neuter voucher program, and expected to be treated as any other client. When I brought my cat in for her spay, no history was taken, no questions were asked and no paperwork needed to be signed. I did not even receive a phone call after her surgery to let me know everything went ok. When she was discharged, I wasn't given any home care instructions or precautions. Lastly, and most unhappily, my kitty came down with kennel cough 2 days later. I work in the veterinary field, and I know most clinics at least do all of the above mentioned. I will never take my cats back there.
My cat Wylbur, who has been with me for 18 years, was diagnosed with cancer last mid-August 2018, and her vet Dr. Walker has been following her medical condition since then, we are both very happy with her continued follow-ups and medications
Very caring and knowledgable staff and vets. Nice facility.
In 2006 I took my beloved 9-year-old cat to see Dr. Walker. About a year after establishing care with her, he had a health crisis that she was able to quickly detect, refer out to a specialist, and oversee management of once it was addressed. He lived to 18, something I will always be grateful to Dr. Walker for. Recently back in town and in need of a regular vet, I of course chose Dr. Walker. This is nowhere near my neighborhood, but I’ll happily drive (even with a very upset kitty in the car) almost any distance for this kind of care. She’s the best, no question.
No better care. Dr. Olah is very detailed and caring.
I've been taking my cats to this vet for years. It's nice to have someone who specializes in cats and can focus their attention on your kitty.
Abq Cat Clinic is the best clinic in town to take your beloved felines to. The waiting area is always clean and calm, and usually hosts a cat that is available for adoption via Abq Animal Humane Cats Around Town. The staff is very friendly and professional from the front desk personnel to the vet techs. Vet techs are skilled and highly trained, they listen to concerns intently and passionately. Dr.Walker and Dr. Olah are experts on communication both with humans and cats. Both Dr. Walker and Dr. Olah are very knowledgeable, and always have the best interest of the cat in mind. I can’t say enough good things about this place – I highly recommend them to all feline parents.
Dr Olah saved my kitty’s life. At 4 years old my little boy had urinary blockage and it was addressed immediately and treated correctly. Dr Olah was compassionate with Oliver and his distressed parents explaining everything so well. The staff were excellent also. I never thought Oliver would tolerate an ultrasound but he was treated so gently. I have lost one cat to urinary obstruction and a bad vet so we were thrilled to find Dr Olah. What a great cat vet. With the proscription diet, Oliver’s bladder stones dissolved as the 2nd ultrasound 3 weeks later showed ! So glad he had the “good” kind of stones. We have a new great vet for our furry boys with Dr Olah!
Great staff very kind and knowledgeable. Reasonably prices.
The Albuquerque Cat Clinic. My cat Selina hates it there. It's where she has been subjected to dental and physical examinations, has had bladder stones removed, and been given the opportunity to live to a ripe, old age. Without them and their honestly caring attention, my beloved feline would have been dead at 4 years old. My appreciation for them makes them the only veterinary clinic I will take my cat to, and the only one I ever recommend. They are friendly and welcoming. And genuinely do everything that they can to help your pet live to a ripe old age in good health.
I took my eldest daughter-cat to VCA because she obviously just didn't feel good and VCA wouldn't treat her because she was being aggressive. I took her to the ABQ Cat Clinic and they resolved her issue and helped her feel better. I used to take her Petroglyph because she was having recurring UTI's and they always just gave her an antibiotic and sent her on her way. At least they were willing to deal with her aggressiveness. I took her to the ABQ Cat Clinic and they finally did the correct testing to figure out she was having thyroid issues and needed medication. Dr. Walker and Dr. Olah are excellent. My cat is aggressive if strangers prod or poke at her. I think it's PTSD from the combination of my roommate when she was a kitten and the thugs who broke into and robbed my house when she was 3. The veterinarians at the ABQ Cat Clinic know how to deal with aggressive cats and they seem to know and care more about cats in general and really want to help them. My sweet girl is doing much better ever since she started going to them. She still tries to rip everyone's arms off during her appointments, but at least she gets taken care of. Update - 2016. I feel like the customer service is not as good as it used to be. The last time I took my eldest girl in, I found out that they put on her file that she had to be sedated in order to be seen. They did not tell me that she had to be fasting before her visit. They called to ask if they could trim her nails, if she'd been given her medicine, and to let me know she'd been woken up from her sedation, but they didn't call me to tell me I was able to pick her up. By the time I called to find out if she was ready, it made more sense to wait for my husband to get off work and get her. It made me very grumpy because my favorite part about being home during the workday is spending extra time with my cats.
Very friendly and professional care for my sweet kitty! Highly recommended.
very nice staff
Cat owner beware! On the surface this seems like a great place, but that feeling quickly fades. I found ABQ Cat Clinic to be overpriced, pushing medications and treatments that my cat didn't need. I felt they were taking advantage of people who love their cats and manipulating them into unnecessary treatments and medications. Routine vaccines also cost double here, which they don't tell you over the phone. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I recommend that you do the same.
They make me feel like my cats are their family too. 2 major surgeries and normal checkups
Love this place take both my fur babys there
We couldn't be more happy with the high level of care our cats receive at the Albuquerque Cat Clinic!
Best cat vet
I was extremely satisfied with the service received at the clinic, Dr. Walker and her staff were amazing and helpful. My cat was very scared and hostile and the staff handled her professionally and compassionately, I was very pleased. I recommend them to anyone with cats.
I have had cats in my life since I was 2 years old. Currently I live with two of them and Dr. Walker and Dr. Olah are two of the best vets I have ever had. Not only do they know "their stuff", they are very caring toward the animals ...and the guardians thereof! The techs and front desk are also very helpful and considerate. I cannot recommend Albuquerque Cat Clinic highly enough!
Fantastic cat clinic. From the reception area to the doctors and staff the care and friendliness is outstanding. I have taken my cats here for years and even after I moved to another state they still send Happy Birthday emails to my cats. Thank you Albuquerque Cat Clinic!
Kind, loving gentle care. The team gives care to both the patient -- the cat -- and the family. HIGHLY recommend.
BEWARE! My 7 year old innocently went to get his teeth cleaned and never came home. It left a huge void in our household. Use Northview. Not too far away distancewise, but, light years away in all the things that matter most.
Outstanding des and cat care
Best cat vet practice in the city. Drs Walker and Olah are awesome, as are the rest of the folks on their staff. We've been taking our cats here for years, and will continue to do so.
I love you Cat Clinic! I went here for the first time today with my poor hurt cat and everyone was so quick, efficient professional and friendly! Actually it was my first time going to the vet since my cat got spayed, so I was a little worried and worried for my cat, but from the moment the receptionist answered the phone I knew this was the place for me :) The male vet was incredible! They don't try to sell anything and understood i was in a budget, but checked the overall health and made recommendations for my senior cat. They let me know everything and she left just fine. To everyone at ACC thank you all so much for taking such good care of my cat. :') Highly recommended!!
Best cat clinic, nay, best veterinary clinic I've ever been to. Dr. Walker and Dr Olah are outstanding professionals - enthusiastic about the science and practice, compassionate, and accessible. Renee and Jackie are wonderful technicians. I have absolutely every confidence you'll be happy with the care your feline friend receives at Albuquerque Cat Clinic!
It's the best option for your cats
They know cats and only cats. Not intimidated by large dogs and their noises.
They specialize in felines. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly
Very friendly, accommodating staff...like they ate a cat only vet service
I've been taking my cat, TC, to Albuquerque Cat Clinic since the day I fished him out of a rain downspout when he was a little lost kitten. He is now 6 years old and thriving. I like that they take care of cats exclusively so my nervous kitty does not have to deal with dogs in the waiting room. They know about cats and Dr. Olah and Dr. Walker both offer sound advice on caring for my finicky feline. I'm so glad I found this place. It is the best place to take your cat!
Excellent Docs that will love your cat!!
Harley David had a raging ear infection which had a terrible odor. I had taken him to another veterinarian but the antibiotics prescribed did not work and I was told he had cancer in the ear caused by radiation. Dr. Olah is fantastic!!!!! In less than 24 hours there was no odor from the ears, definitely no cancer. Dr. Olah gave the best exam I have ever witnessed and I have had cats all of my life. Amazing doctor I highly recommend this veterinarian for your cats. What a blessing to have found this vet clinic.
Dr.Walker and Dr.Olah are just amazing at what they do. It comforts me to know that my cat is in such experienced hands. The front desk reception is so nice, and all the staff was very helpful
I had taken my cat to another place and town and spent a lot of money. We went to see Dr. Wilson and she diagnosed my cats problem. She had in stock the food and supplements he needed. I have never seen Toby so happy running around and getting into things and acting like a cat. You can tell this this vet really loves and cares about cats. Thank you so much Dr. Wilson.
Excellent care! As a military family we move often. We've experienced many veterinarian clinics over the last 13 years. Albuquerque Cat Clinic is hands down one of the very best! They have finally figured out what's wrong with my elderly cat who was losing weight and vomiting daily. Two other vets couldn't give me answers.
No wait and great service
Drs. Olah and Walker are awesome. I love how both genuinely care for cats and do the best job they can.
Nice place, but you better have deep pockets, 300 plus for first kitten visit, plus another 370.00 to have your cat fixed, $$$ for additional vac's.
Fantastic place took my two newly adopted cats here. Dr. Emily, the head veterinarian, was kind, patient, and caring for them. I will definitely be returning here.
Dr. Olah is great with my cat Chloe. He is very gentle and does great work. My cat had swollen painful pink gums, and after he pulled the tooth out she hasn't had a problem since.
Dr. Glenn Olah was the first doctor my cats had. Then he moved to Albuquerque and I felt it was too far to drive. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! I would drive to Kansas to take my cats to get his professional opinon! With out a doubt Dr. Olah is the Cat Whisperer!
We love this clinic. They actually love and care for your cat---which is something I have found lacking in other vets. My cat was difficult and Dr. Emily Walker handled him with ease. It was clear she understands cats. She is an excellent vet: compassionate, efficient, and knowledgeable. Dr. Walker spent extra time (via email, etc.) due to difficult circumstances in my life, without charging me. She obviously is not in this to glean money out of pet owners. The staff were also compassionate and efficient. When our kitty passed away, they sent us a sympathy card.
Very knowledgeable people with willing to take the time to establish a relationship with a cat which is not an easy thing to do I appreciate the wisdom and the information and their vast experience in treating cats for years I know I can count on the correct diagnosis and the correct way to treat my cats
I have always felt Dr Walker took good care of my cats. But if you need to see them quickly, the only option they have is for you to drop off your cat and leave them. In spite of being a loyal client, when we needed a cat looked at that was experiencing severe distress, the drop off option was not what we were looking for. I'll miss them.
