Nice visitors center with lots of information about the area and New Mexico as a whole. There was guide that’s staffed the location who was very friendly and greeted everyone entering the facility. The only downside was the bathroom could be cleaner but was far from the worst rest stop bathroom I’ve seen.

When we came through it was closed but seemed pretty helpful. We were able to get a few few magazines with information and a booklet of hotel coupons. It isnt very well lit at night but its beautiful to see the stars.

The ladies at the visitor center were very pleasant and helpful. Very nice and clean facility with a decent amount of parking for big trucks. We had no problems with taking our furbaby to do her business in the marked Pet Area (smooth and grassy). The ladies even offered me a cup of coffee! Thankful for their hospitality and suggestions!

It's a beautiful facility that is really well maintained. Restrooms were spotless. There's a lot of historical information about the area. We would have visited longer but the wind was gusting about 25 mph. Definitely worth the stop.

There are several handicapped spaces and a large parking lot. A dog park is at the far end of the parking lot across from the visitor center. Staff was helpful. It is a large center with several racks of brochures. I only saw one vending machine. There is a picnic area.

Awesome travel stop with nice bathrooms and AC. Such friendly, welcoming staff. I had no plans of speaking with anyone and walked away with a loot of informational travel goods for our Red River destination. They're also offering free star gazing later this evening. So cool!

Nice New Mexico welcome center literally the moment you enter the state. Can't miss the building right after the bright yellow "Welcome to New Mexico" overhead sign lol Lots of car parking, with a decent amount of truck parking. The shop/info area is only open 8-5, but the washrooms are accessible 24hr a day from the outside. Only downside to this place is the amount of ground thorns...which makes walking the dog a chore.

Are you kidding me, it's 10 pm dark no lights in lot , almost tripped and fell, I am a single male and I was spooked, ridiculously managed, restroom clean but wow could not see my hand in front of my face walking from car to restroom so weird only 2 cars here and 1 camper,,,,,,,wonder why.

As a truck driver my hours are not normal. Having to keep to a 10 hr break the building was not open for me to use the facilities. And people wonder why parking lots smell like urine. I've learned to keep empty bottles for this reason but the point of a rest area is to be able to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I'll stop short next time

Though the Visitor Center looked nice dont stop for the dog park area. Filled with stickers we had to keep pulling out of their feet and to leave after walking all the way to it. If you are going to have a dog area make sure its safe for them!

Rude staff lady. She got pretty “upset” after I asked for 3 copies of the road map. Said “normally I’d say no but.” And then proceeded to snap at me and ask what I needed 3 for. I never was rude, I said please and thank you, and I tried to casually chat before I asked. But she made sure I signed the sign in sheet.

We are on a road trip from Michigan to California and back. We stopped at this rest area which is located just after crossing Texas to New Mexico. It is a huge visitor center, the bathrooms are clean. The ladies at the information desk very friendly and ready to assist with any questions about the State.

One of the worst rest areas in 15 different states I've driven this month. Absolutely no shade anywhere. Dog area had so many sticker bushes we couldn't even go inside the fence. How about a picnic table to eat off of?
