Great place for a quick hike. Pretty accessible with their park services right there in the general area with more parking right near Cranberry Glades hiking area. The hike is flat and boardwalked. The area is Gorgeous, with a unique biome. If you do go, keep your eyes peeled for carnivorous plants and mushrooms. Very lush and always a pleasant visit.

The Cranberry Glades Botanical Area is a beautiful and exotic piece of The Monongahela National Forest absolutely teeming with rare species of trees, plants and wildlife. Going to The Boardwalk there is like a mini-tour all in itself with informative boards and posters filled with interesting facts and figures. This is the perfect excursion for children who want to grow up to study botany and/or zoology and a great trip for the family in general. The bathrooms and picnic areas were very clean and the trails were well maintained. You can't truly say you've been to Wild and Wonderful West Virginia until you've visited the Cranberry Glades.

I would live in this clearing. Overwhelmingly quiet and peaceful. We've been to a lot of state parks, and although Watkins Glen is so far the coolest one so far, I wouldn't live there. Give yourself some peace and spend time here.

A truly botanical gem hidden in the mountains of West Virginia. A wonderful stroll along the full boardwalk will allow access to spectacular views and a chance to see arctic species of vegatation found no where this far south. One of my favorite spots to visit, and I never fail to stop when I'm in that area. Can't recommend it enough to those who love nature.

A nice place to stretch your legs while exploring the area. It is bear country so be bear aware. The boardwalk was beautiful and this time of year you can smell the cranberries. It had rained though before we got there so the boardwalk was slick. Beautiful scenery though nonetheless!

A short 1/2 mile hike on a boardwalk. Beautiful view if your in the area but definitely not worth going out of your way. Go visit Falls of Hills Creek instead.

Beautiful bog forest. Boardwalk takes you through the bog, over streams, through bushes, and under trees. Hope to return when the orchids are blooming. Parking spaces are close and toilets available. An easy walk, with a few lose and uneven boards. Views in every direction.

Cranberry is one of the most beautiful and unique natural areas in WV. Visit in spring or fall for a beautiful walk. The repairs to the boardwalk are welcome.

Place is absolutely fantastic! It's an isolated spot in WV like no other, we saw at least two deer and a fox while we were there before we even got to the parking area. Well definitely be back when the weather is warmer to explore the boardwalks.
