It's amazing to think this place was created in 1963 and opened in 1965.

Stopped by on our way out West on Route 66. It's such a beautiful and humbling monument. It was so worth the side trip and visit. Everyone should stop by for a minute if they can.

These were much larger than I expected, especially if you don't look at people's pictures first for scale. Was a nice little stop to see. Love going to oversized things. Was sad I couldn't climb or sit on anything and that the base of them was so large. The bushes and shrubs around the area are carved into shapes as well.
