I had heard excellent things about this place...and am glad I got to find out first hand! Raven did a spectacular job on my first tattoo, was incredibly fair about the price, and made me feel good about the entire process. The shop was clean and there was lots of work available to browse through. I'll most definitely be going back to Raven and Star Tattoo for my second...and third....and fourth....

It is hard to find a shop in ABQ that is honest and clean. Most shops you walk into are sketchy and eager to get you in the chair for your money. Star Tattoo is probably the most professional and respectable places around. Everyone at the shop is incredibly nice and helpful. They are knowledgeable about how well tattoos will look on your body, sometimes functionality doesn’t always coincide with the idea in your head. I started getting tattooed by Shawn and the experience has been great. He is a fantastic early artist and his future looks very bright. My wife has been getting covered by Gina and all of her ink has healed very well with no scaring. It is amazing feeling when people ask where you get your tattoos because they look awesome. I love to say from Star Tattoo and not ‘my homie that does it in his kitchen’. Check them out, you won’t regret it!

Great experience! Chris is a real artist. He's terrific with fine details. He and the rest of the crew are courteous, polite, and friendly. The studio is bright, airy, comfortable, and very clean. Instructions for caring for the healing tattoo are clear and easy to follow, and my tat is looking great and healing well. I've been searching for designs for additional tats and have a couple strong possibilities in mind. Looking forward to having Chris apply one or both in the coming months. ***Several months and a couple more tattoos later I am still very impressed with Chris's work! Super! And I have more work in mind.

This shop is top notch. I've gotten a majority of my tattoo work here and I couldn't be happier. Gina has done most of my artwork and her husband Sean has done some. Everywhere I go people tell me how awesome my tattoos are and that is nice considering how many bad tattoos are out there. Don't go here if you want something bland and unoriginal. But if you want something unique and that is going to last, look no further.

If I could give a zero star review I would. The tattoo artist that I had he was friendly but today I’m covering up the mess that he made of my arm and I’m so disappointed in the work that was put Into my arm. I paid too much money to have this already be covered up a year later. Very disappointed.

Super clean not only in the lobby but also in each artist's rooms! They always give free touch ups. The coolest part was that they let my 7 year old daughter in the room to watch. Super friendly with great artists and Wesson prices. I will be going here for my next few tattoos

My daughter went in for a tattoo with Patrick on Saturday. This was her first tattoo and she asked me to accompany her to give her my advice. Unfortunately, Patrick was extremely rude and pretty much told me that it was her decision. He had an extremely rude personality and wasn't very welcoming. If he doesn't want to be doing tattoos, he shouldn't be there. He didn't make us feel very welcome and was just really rushed.

FANTASTIC work and great group to hang with during the hours I've sat for my tats. Easy going vibe, lots of advice for any questions you have (tattoos, hard rock, Star Wars, food, movies . . .). I would love to hang around with them all day but I want to make room for someone else to get a tat and have some fun. I will be going back again for more ink and good times!
