Boyka is the best! I needed a bridesmaid dress hemmed with only a weeks notice and she was the only one that would fit me in. Not only is she accommodating but her work is phenomenal! Will definitely return to her for any alteration needs in the future!

Boyka was my savor! I received my bridesmaid dress that was incorrectly sized at a 12 and I'm a size 6! She basically had to make a whole new dress for me and she did so in four days. I don't know what I would have done without her help. She is excellent!

Don't go here!! My wife brought her wedding dress here to get altered. Bad idea! She is a mean, stuck up old lady who doesn't care about her customers and treats them with extreme disrespect. She lied to us repeatedly on the phone saying the dress would be ready on a specific date. We stopped in to see how it was going... she didnt even get started on it yet. The wedding was less than 2 weeks away! And no dress!! And she had our dress for 2 months doing nothing with it but lying to us on the phone saying it was being worked on, ect. In the end, she did a butcher last minute job that we had to end up taking to a neighbors house the night before the wedding just to get the dress wearable. My wife was in tears over how she was treated and how bad her dress looked from Boyka's cheap alteration job. She didnt even do what we asked. Wedding preparation is stressful enough without dealing with a b itch like this. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT HER, DONT GIVE HER A DIME! She is not an American (can't you tell by the name), and does cheap overseas-quality work and will treat you like a moneysign, not a person with feelings. You are much better off taking you alterations elsewhere. To anybody but her. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS LADY!!

Brought a dress to be altered for a wedding I was in. Went to pick up the dress and was charge over 100 which is more than half the price I paid for the entire dress for just a 2 inch hem and the fix the straps. I’ve had other bridesmaid have to get the dress taken in 3 sizes who paid under 80 for their alterations. Let’s just say I will never go here again. After explaining how a different woman had screwed me over so I was happy I found her she managed to ripped me off should have just went to the other woman.

Boyka is the tailor I have been longing for. Tremendous old-world skills with an artist's vision. So glad I found her on Google. She tailored eight suits for me including reducing the bagginess of the pants on one. The result is eight bespoke looking suits. Oh and she got them done in less than a week. I will be back again and again.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible attitude and Sloppy Business Dealings. I took my dress in because the dress was too long for me and the dress had some loose buttons I wanted her to adjust. From the beginning I asked her to give me a price for these alterations, and she told me she didn't know. Which was pretty annoying being that I should have been given at least a range for the pricing of these alterations even if she didn't have an exact price. She could have for instance said the cost would be between $300-$500, but she never did. Another thing I found strange is that when I requested her to list all the alterations to be made on the receipt (she had no details listed) she gave me an attitude and said "What do you need me to do that for when you know what I am going to do to the dress?" For each fitting I went in for, I asked her HOW MUCH ARE THE ALTERATIONS? Each time she responded by saying she didn't know. So then I go in for a final fitting and it turns out she did something called a bustle, which I had no idea of what that was until I got there. This is done to a dress for brides who are wearing the dress for their ceremony and reception. For the reception the dress is bustled up so you are not tripping every where. Turns out I am not even wearing the dress for my reception and I didn't ask her to do this. She also didn't even bother to ask was I wearing the dress for the entire event. So essentially she did work I did not ask for and gave me a final price of $400, which I was totally unprepared for. It would be one thing if she even gave me a range of how much everything would be but SHE DIDN'T. She waited until the day of to tell me the cost. How did she know that I even had $400 to spend? That's why this is worked out from the beginning. I also let her know how I felt about this when she revealed this price. When I went in to go pay for the dress, I expressed this concern again and I told her that I appreciated her work, but it wasn't fair to spring that price on me and she also did added work I did not ask for. So I asked could I pay $300. And she said she would do $350, which I was okay with trying to meet her half way because she did do a good job on the dress. She then proceeded to make a scene in front of the other customers in the store, complaining about how she worked on the dress for 3 days, and can you believe this and that. She also made sure to loudly do this as I walked out of the store so that I could hear it. What a nasty attitude and horrible customer service! She made me feel like I am trying to rip her off or something when really I should be the one that is angry being that I wasn't prepared for the pricing. She even told me oh if you were to go to another store they would charge you $400 just to hem the dress, which suggests she had to have some sort of idea of how much she planned on charging me. Maybe her other customers got it like that and can just pay whatever price she throws out without preparation, but everyone isn't so fortunate. Her professionalism is really lacking.

Boyka saved the day. She did an incredible job taking 2 cheer uniforms and making one. My daughter could not have been more happy with the results. Boyka was able to complete the job in just a few days. She was a miracle worker and so nice to work with. I would recommend her to anyone who needs top notch alterations. I live in Florida and couldn't find a tailor in Florida to do the extreme alterations I needed on a formal dress for a wedding. I bought a dress that was too small for me, but fell in love with it. It needed to be made bigger with more material added to the dress. I went to NJ to visit my family and hoped that while I was back up North, Boyka could perform a miracle for me. SHE DID IT! Thank you Boyka, for doing what nobody in Florida could do for me.

The woman working there took a personal phone call instead of helping me when I came in. She spoke on speaker phone for at least 5 minutes before helping me. Then she wanted $50 to do a straight hem on a pair of cotton curtains. $50! When I said it was too much she told me that was the price everywhere...so I took them to our old alterations place, for $15. Ha. I have a feeling people get overcharged and poor treatment here because they don't know any better. Rude and overpriced.

I was referred to her by a friend who is very particular about everything and she was right again. Boyka can do anything & do it perfectly! I chose Boyka's based on online reviews and the convenience of her location and I'm glad I did. She altered my dress, my husbands suit pants, my three daughters' dresses, and my sons suit pants for a wedding that was less than two weeks away. Everything came out perfectly. We tried on the dresses and Boyka herself wasn't happy with how the one dress laid across my daughters shoulders and made an additional alteration right on the spot to ensure we all looked perfect in our fancy attire. I'm heading back to get fitted for a bridesmaid dress this week and will surely be using her services more in the future.

Boyka is awesome. I had her tailor my wedding dress in 2004 and have been going back to her for all my family's alterations thereafter. I travel from Princeton to see her because she is a true professional and great to deal with. It is hard to find a European-trained tailor/seemstress to handle my alterations in my area so I will take a ride to bring her my clothes. Boyka is honest, hard working and will do anything to meet your dates if you are under a tight time frame. If you need alterations GO to Boyka she's amazing. I'm not sure why that husband-to-be below (Jacob) gave such a bad and harsh review. Not to mention such an ignorant remark about her being American. Really, come on? Who says things like that? It's 2014 - wake up and realize that people do live here that are American and might have an accent. That review sounded nothing like my frequent experiences with Boyka, including my wedding dress so just be wary of reading reviews like that. She is professional and has a years of experience.

Thank you Boyka for saving the day! I called Boyka at 7:30 am with an emergency alteration needed on the day of prom, she answered the phone well before the store opened and told me to come straight over with the dress. She did not hesitate one moment! She was wonderful, the dress turned out perfect and she made my daughter feel beautiful in her gown! I can't thank you enough!! I have used Boyka several times in the past and would highly recommend her to everyone!! She obviously loves what she does and is a true expert in alterations

I bought my Pronovias wedding dress from the flag store in NYC in February. I saw the dress in a picture and it was gorgeous, but when I tried it on it did not fit anything like the picture and I was told that the alterations would be extensive because the entire dress was 5 layers of silk and hand embroidered lace. Boyka is the only person I would trust to touch my super expensive, strapless mermaid cut, all lace wedding gown. I ended up loosing 25 lbs. right before my wedding, the dress was more than 2 sizes too big and it was cut for a woman 6 ft. tall. Because it was couture, I had signed a no returns agreement! But Boyka is an expert and she saved the day. She literally took apart every single seam in my dress and re-sewed it removing the extra 5 inches in the body I needed to be able to be comfortable on my wedding day. She added boning to hold the dress up, also raised the hem to match my shoe height, created a bustle in back making my dress easy to adjust and beautiful. The work was perfection. The wedding dress didn't look like it had been altered. She remade the dress so it was the right size, my gown was tailored to fit my body perfectly and I received so many compliments!. Wow! Was in love with my wedding dress the day I saw it, but then when I took it to Boyka's Alterations I loved it even more! The prices at Boyka's are reasonable, she priced very competitively. It was 100% worth every penny.
