Binford recycling is a scam. In other words, they gave one price, but after unloading the aluminum they changed the price to a much lower one (more than half of what they originally said). They don't have a written price list, and even when I tried to get an estimate over email they didn't reply and then wouldn't answer their phone calls. I had to come in person for them to give me and estimate (they said around $1 per pound). Then after I came and unloaded everything (more than 700 pounds of clean aluminium) they changed their price to 45 cents. Today they lost they a regular customer and I will make sure all my acquaintances know that they are not a reputable company. They may have earned around $200 from me today, since I'm not in the position to load/unload such a heavy weight regularly, but in the long term they've lost me as a customer and hopefully others as well if this is how they run their business.

You guys and girls are all bitches. Binford Metals is one of the best wrecking yards in kent/auburn. The staff is not so bad once you get to know them, as long as you don't come off as an ass. And their yard is the best, cars are set on rims, not like budget where they are stacked on top of each other. Prices are very reasonable. So stop crying!!!!!

Just a couple days ago me and my sister had drove down to binfords, scraping some metal to make a lil extra money due to our water being shut off. We showed up at exactly 5pm (when they close). The guy had just shut the gate and was locking it. My sister asked him nicely if he would please get us taken care of that we really needed the money for a bill. The man jokingly asked if we had something for him staying later at work to get us taken care of, and then let us in. I must say it if wasn't for him staying a few mins longer at his job we wouldn't have made the money for our water bill! :) Best customer service, I will always be fine with going down to binfords metals!

Costumer service sucks. Parts are way overpriced. Specialy the girl in office. If only she knew what she is doing. when it comes to people scraping cars. SMH. I started to take my stuff elsewhere. Budget is way nicer the guys there know exactly how to treat people. And what costumer service is all about. Binford is the last place id go to get anything.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! Horibble customer service! If i could give them less than one star I would. I live four hours away from there and drove up to pick up a transmission they had told me they had in stock. Keep in mind I called and checked if they still had it before we drove up, literally 4 hours before we arrived at binford. So we get there tell them that we talked on the phone and we were picking up the transmission. They tell us that the transmission is misplaced and that they cant seem to find it. This was 8 hours wasted of our time plus $100 of gas and to top it off I had to leave work early that day to get to binford on time. If they had checked the back instead of just reading off their inventory, at least on one of the multiple phone calls I had with them before heading up there, this would have never happened. Horrible service. I would never recommend Binford Auto wrecking to anyone

Their prices on scrap copper were good, but on review of my scrap weight I was very concerned that my "bright and shiny" was loaded into a bin that already had a large amount of bright and shiny in it. I had weighed all of my scrap right before heading in, and my weight total was nearly 50 pounds different from their weight total. I can guarantee, had mentioned a problem with their total weight they wouldn't have just let me pull my scrap from the bin full of scrap bright and shiny they had me dump my scrap into. I will definitely be demanding an empty bin on my next trip.

Your workers are giving you a bad label. I don't appreciate them being dishonesty on the weight amounts of my recycle I brought in. I had all my recycled weighed first before coming in there again and wouldn't you know it wasn't even close to what was really there. Great Junk yard, close to auto wrecks too. Recycle metals and get cheap parts for your car. SUCKS, they demolished the bridge near Downtown Kent, you need to enter via 277th, its like and island now, only 1 way in and out.

First time ever in selling metal. I called to get rid of my old water heater and was surprised to hear that they would actually pay me for it. Very secure operation, procedure is followed all the way through. Glad to see this type of business doing everything they can to keep the community secure. Everyone was corteous and efficient. A+!!!

Okay, so I am a very honest person. Many people pocket small tiny parts. I do not. Many places like Budget will either charge me very little or not at all for some of the small things...like an ash tray. Pick n Pull doesn’t care if I have some small plastic knob. Well...at this place, for only two plastic seat belt bracket covers, and two half inch round trim pieces...they charged me $10!!! Are you kidding me?!? I could have got them off eBay for .99 each with free shipping. Even if it was $5, I’d be okay with that, but $10? Why is it that the honest person like me gets punished by getting gouged for the smallest little things? But, I bet they complain when people steal parts. I wonder why? Nice people for the most part, but not when it comes to price on most things. I’d skip this place unless it’s a last resort. Budget next to them is way better in my experience.

If you plan to call this business because you have a question about what they accept and/or what the price might be for any specific material(s), I recommend you brace yourself because they are TERRIBLY RUDE, and VERY DISRESPECTFUL, they will immediately treat you as if you aren’t worth the garbage you put out by the road each week. Your better off taking your business to any one of the other scrap places around because you’ll likely have the highest chance of encountering troubles, bad attitudes, and/or disgraceful business practices when you visit Binford Metals.

UNPROFESSIONAL! I am disappointed in the lack of expertise of the staff and the unprofessional manner in which Binford Metals dealt with my issues. After locating some rare original fenders for my Monte Carlo LS on the website I had several conversations with the parts manager Mark as to their authenticity, condition and availability. Living 250 miles away, I was continually reassured that I would be happy with my purchase if I made the trip to remove them. Inquiring about the high purchase price I was informed that another set of these exact parts could only be found 1000 miles away and I agreed to it. I repeatedly requested that pictures be sent to me and although promised, I never received any. This past Saturday I made the long drive over to pick up my parts only to locate the car in the yard and see right away that they were not the original fenders and not the parts that were being advertised. I find it both shocking and disappointing that parts professionals would not be able to tell that the parts were wrong or at least take the time to verify them. This is their job! I took one look at them and saw that the time and money I spent traveling over was a waste. When I informed Mark that the parts weren't correct he didn't seem too concerned stating that, "well, the VIN number says they're right." And as a parting gesture he searched my tool bag in case I had stolen something. Thanks a lot. Having been in contact for weeks with Mark, he knew very well that I had traveled, was excited and willing to pay whatever necessary. If he had at least sent the pictures to me I would have been able to tell right away that they were wrong and saved myself the trouble. In light of the situation, I don't think that some remorse or an apology or some sort of gesture would have been too much to ask. The moral of this story is that I am not impressed with Binford Metals.

Had a tire problem and showed up 10 minutes before closing. Awesome people they went ahead and even though it was raining they swapped tires for me and I was on my way just after they closed. Staying open just to swap a tire real quick even though they didn’t need to and could’ve sent me on my way. That’s customer service! Daniel is that man and needs a raise!! Will definitely be coming back!

I had to fly there from 750 miles away so it wasn't the easiest transaction and process but they made it as simple and easy as possible. I'm a small business and have delt with binford metals a lot over the last few years. I have found most the staff to be professional and very helpful. There have been a couple Miscommunication about how I should have prepared some items before I brought them in but the staff has always been accommodating to me. I imagine that it is difficult to keep people happy in this type of industry and I think its important to remember people who are looking for cheap parts (because their car broke) or to make money on a little bit of scrap metal (cuz they need gas $$) probably have plenty of issues that effect the negative reviews. Just my two cents.

Was driving my NEW 2018 truck behind one of their trucks and a piece of metal flew out of the back of their truck and damaged my windshield. They told me they would take care of the damages to my windshield but then two days later said it was a road hazard well a road hazard doesnt come off of the back of a truck. The driver clearly did not sweep his deck after his load. This company claims to be family owned with great customer service. Clearly that is not the case. If you say you are going to take care of it due to your employees negligence then your word should mean something. I will be reporting this to the BBB as well as filing a small claims as I should not have to claim it on my insurance. BAD BUSINESS WHEN YOU LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS !!!! SHAME ON YOU BINFORD METALS !!! It DID NOT come off the road and if you think its impossible well then im sure getting to the moon and cloneing doesnt exist and to say that its not possible is an ignorant responce. The truck was not tarped and the wind easily could of blown it out. That still doesnt excuse the fact that not only was I told it would be taken care of the person I spoke with on the phone today not only called me a liar but hung up on me and refused to give his name THATS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE SHAME ON YOU !!!

Of the 4 Kent junkyards, Binford was my favored spot. They always had the parts I needed and Kevin who worked the counter always cut a good deal so long as your honest and paying in cash. Never a problem getting into the yard. Now that they've moved their consumer junkyard operations to AAA old yard, we're not even allowed to enter the damn yard to look for ourselves if parts are available. Blame the infamous AAA counter service. They should have fired them when they got bought out and used their own(binford) staff. I refuse to patronize binfords new yard until AAA staff get shitcanned. Others should consider so too

Disorganized clutter of a scrap yard. My first time here but not new to scrapping. One of the most difficult and dangerous to navigate for a street customer that I've ever visited from Florida to Washington in 35 years of scrapping. They may try to tell you your scrap iron is all low grade "shred" worth only 1.5 cents per pound as of May 2019. Included in my pickup load was a 1/2 inch welded heavy steel angle iron winch mount and other clean and sorted heavy steel scrap which elsewhere has always fetched top price. After difficult distant navigation through the gauntlet of heavy equipment and scrap piles back to the scales he said "all I saw in your truck was shred". Man must have had some shred in his eye because we had the heavy steel at the back in the clear for easy unloading. At this point it's not worth navigating back through the gauntlet to correct a bad practice as only had 400 lbs but is still 30-40% of the value. They do have a few prices on non ferrous a little higher than other scrap yards but next time I'll be going 10 miles south to Puyallup for more honest and organized service.
