Best breakfast in our trip. Pancakes are to die for. Highly recommend this restaurant. Great food and service.
Arrived at approximately 5 p.m. on a Wednesday, and there was no wait for the two of us. Hostess was nice. Seats were surprisingly cheap for a nicer establishment. Server was nice. I had the fish,, it was ok.. Probably the highlight of the meal believe it or not, were the vegetables... So I guess my summary of the dinner would be: MIXED...or MEH
Pecan chicken salad was delicious!
Lovely atmosphere. Food average. Wait service attentive.
Very nice place with good food and reasonably priced one of Cody's finer spots
Nice cuisine. Portions are a bit small, but high quality.
Wonderful food and service.
Slow
Excellent food and atmosphere!
Had prime rib and my daughter had rainbow trout everything was so good , best meal I may have ever had . Everything was great I can not say enough on how good the food was
The creme brulee is incredible. I've had many times in Louisiana and this is as good as it gets.
Friendly and experienced service, excellent food, obviously there is a real chef creating the menu.
We fell in love with this restaurant. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich & my husband ordered the buffalo burger. Both were so delicious! They had a great beer/cocktail menu as well. We each tried a local beer & loved both. Then we shared a lemon drop martini. So good! We decided to also try a dessert. Their bread pudding was amazing! It didn't have any raisins or nuts in it like most so we were sold. The service was also great. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.
It's a nice place and the staff was friendly and professional, but they don't have much of a selection. I went for lunch and all they had was salad and typical sandwiches, I did try an appetizer of crab cakes, those are really good but they're $14.00 and they do have a daily soup. However, there are no prices on anything.
One of the nicest restaurants I've ever been in, best service I've ever had and the food was definitely made by a chef that knew what he was doing . A+ on the Rattlesnake pasta
Excellent meal and service!
Great food. Good service. Reasonably priced. Good wine list.
Love the good and service
Really enjoyed breakfast here. Everything taste great and the staff were very nice!
Sat at the bar for dinner while traveling through town. Drinks were made well and the bar tender was very friendly and helpful. Food was prepared as ordered and the presentation was spectacular. The menu could use more variety but we had no difficulty settling on something. I've had better tasting filets but the house sauce made up for it. My wife described the chicken artichoke sandwich as "perfection". We went back for breakfast the next morning and the food was once again prepared and presented very well. Overall we were very satisfied and would certainly return for another meal should we visit again.
Great food and service
Good at what it offers. Service was a bit hit and miss but friendly staff who seemed eager to please even if they didn't always get there first try.
Delightful, attentive, courteous staff. Food was acceptable temperature but not hot. It was sitting for awhile. If the meal was hot, they would have received 5 stars. Perhaps they should consider dedicated food runners.
My husband and I ate here 2 nights in a row while we were in town. The food was so good the first night we went back for a second night. The food on the second night did not disappoint! We had prime rib which was the best we have had, and the Brussel sprout appetizer was unbelievably delicious. The atmosphere was great, clean and the staff was super friendly! I would highly recommend dining here! The bartender Taryn was also amazing, she had so many good tips for our stay in the area and the most friendly smile!
Went in tonight just before closing to pick up a friend that needed a ride. It was right before closing so I understand the bartender not loving getting me a beer. However everyone else in the party had a full beer still and she poured it. In 3 minutes she yelled at the whole bar that everyone needed to be headed for the door. There was a total of 3 tables in the bar that she could have gone up to individually and ask politely to leave but instead she went to the end of the bar and rose her hand to her mouth for a megaphone effect and yelled to leave. This happened the second it turned 10. People still had 3/4 full drinks and were kicked out very unprofessionally. Again I understand it being closing but it should have been handled differently.
New, classy, great place to eat in Cody. Great menu! Nice atmosphere and waiters.
Had a large group that wouldn't fit in other restaurants. Called to see if they could accommodate our group. They had a space set up for us by the time we got there. Food and service very good.
Great menu, prompt service, enjoyed! ,
Great service and great food!
Please Do hamburgers with fries for the Optimist more often.
The white bean chicken soup is wpnderful
High class establishment. I think they have worked through many of their reported shortcomings. The food was great but the atmosphere was top notch. A great place for a quiet, romantic dinner.
Awesome food!!!!
Great place too grab good food
Delicious restaurant for breakfast at least. The staff was also very kind.
Very good salad and waitress was amazing!
Great staff, we had a beautiful evening.
The food and service were top notch. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone
Pretty good food. Server was great but overwhelmed so the service was slow.
Nice place
Nice food and service
Enjoyed the prime rib special and the rattle snake pasta.
My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Ivy Premier Hotel in Cody, WY, and ate four meals at the 8th Street at the Ivy Restaurant over June 2 -4, 2013. The first night's dinner was quite good; the second morning's breakfast was excellent; the second night's dinner was good; the third morning's breakfast was a disaster. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:20 am and two gentlemen came in a bit after us. We four were the only people in the restaurant during this whole incident. They had a female waitperson; we had a male. We were promptly delivered menus, water and coffee. Our waitperson was slow getting back to us, but when he did my wife ordered a yogurt with fruit that was supposed to be drizzled in huckleberry syrup and cranberry nut toast. I ordered an omelet and the same toast. 40 minutes later we still had not been served our food--and no explanations. One of the gentlemen at the other table had a similar experience and he went to see where his food was. I got up to check on our order, and about that time both wait persons came with the food for the respective tables. We made a comment about the length of time that it had taken to get our food, and our waiter said that was because I had asked my eggs to be well cooked (I had the same order the previous morning and that hadn't seemed to have affected the time to get the food; also I've worked as a cook and still cook omelets for my family and the difference in cooking time for well done eggs would be about 30 seconds at most). Additionally, my wife's order was with canned fruit and without the huckleberry drizzle. Our waiter explained that they had run out of the drizzle. Her toast and mine were stone cold--and I mean stone cold. The second cup of coffee was barely luke-warm. Our waiter apologized, but there was no offer not to charge for the meal or to reduce the charge. My wife complained at the front desk, asked to speak to the restaurant manager, and got the female waitperson. She offered that the cook was slow getting started. One of the hotel desk people confided to my wife that they had received complaints about the consistency of the restaurant. We were given an email address to complain to Megan Stephen the restaurant manager (apparently the hotel and restaurant occupy the same property, but are different legal entities and are under different management), but that address did not work. So, we're left with this review. My advice is to eat somewhere else. The Bar is well run with competent help; however, the restaurant is another story. Inconsistent is too kind; incompetently managed is a better descriptor. Frankly, we would stay at the hotel again--the rooms are gorgeous, but we would not eat again at the 8th Street restaurant. It is one thing to have an off day--for which there should be no excuse in a service business anyway. However, it is inexcusable that the customer pays for glacially slow service, poorly prepared food, BS excuses, and no offer to make it right--especially when there are only four people in the entire restaurant and different waitpersons for each of two tables.
Great food and friendly staff
We just stopped here to have a drink. Was a very nice place. Wished we would have ate here instead of Cassies. We will for sure next time!!! The bartender was very good.
Staff and food are amazing
Great breakfast! Great Waitress!
Nice bartender, and the quesadilla was great!
Pricy but good food
Excellent food. Good choices and not expensive.
Food and service was excellent
Visited Cody on business a few months ago... I had eaten at the Ivy before with one of my friends and was impressed with the quality of food and options. My last visit was just as good and I topped it off with creme brûlée -mmmmmm!
Great atmosphere. Great food and friendly staff.
Great sandwich. Service was great.
good service and food
Great enjoy ourselves
You get seated pretty fast but I did take an hour to get are food once we were seated. The food tasted great and at the end you can get andies candy
Very good food. That halibut was superb.
This is an excellent place to eat I have been there several times and ordered several items on the menu and I have never been disappointed. The service is great as well.
Outstanding food and decent value.
Great service!
Very good service. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely go there again. Location, Best Western hotel.
Excellent food and service. Staff warm and welcoming and the food was out double quick time.
Not impressed at all. They should kill the menu as it is and resurrect the Sunset house menu.
The young lady at the front didn't even greet us or make eye contact despite us standing there for a couple minutes. I asked her if there would be a wait but she either ignored me or didn't hear and just walked off. The bartender walked over and offered us a seat in the bar. She was great and the food was good.
Great food- nice restaurant
Food was overpriced and poorly prepared, got our daughters order wrong as well
The menu needs a little variation or change up in my opinion, otherwise it's a great place to eat.
Good food, great service
Overpriced diner
Went there last night and had a 30 min wait. Once finally seated, it's as if we were forgotten about. We sat there for about an hour before we decided to give up and leave. A man eating told us not to worry about it, and said the food was terrible anyway. Idk if it was cause it was busy or short staffed, but it definitely left a bad impression on me.
I enjoy good service and food. Got both every time I stop by. Rattlesnake pasta is the BOMB!
Wonderful menu
Great food good service
Excellent atmosphere, good food, great service. Happy to bring out of town guests
Great food great atmosphere the clucker breakfast plate is awesome
If you want to wait 40 minutes for your order - please come here. Also oatmeal my wife ordered was cold.
Excellent
Most helpful and friendly people clean and convenient.
Katherine was great.
Excellent spot for Sunday brunch.
My food, both breakfast and dinner, was delicious but the portions were not really big but the prices are high. My travel companion on the other hand got physically sick both times he ate there (racing heart) due to something (a spice?) that was in his food. Good atmosphere in this restaurant though but there are better options in Cody.
Great appetizers, and the French dip was delicious.
Superb dining at its best.
Variety of items on menu. Reasonable prices with good service.
Had brunch on Sunday. Enjoyed the food. Loved the herbal scramble but portion was small. I asked in advance for less breakfast potatoes on my plate, instead got a large amount. Enjoyed the Mimosa. Service was prompt and food came out quickly despite a packed house. I would eat there again.
Wonderful meal after a long day in the park. Our server was fantastic and the service was top notch. My husband had the short ribs and I had the rattlesnake pasta. We finished our meal with creme brûlée and chocolate cake with coffee. We will be back next time we are in Cody!
Food and drink prices were good, service was excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal!
Too expensive for the service and food quality
Food was wonderful and the staff was excellent
Great restaurant
Very nice atmosphere!!
GOOD PLACE FOR BREAKFAST
Staff was good and room was big and clean.
We will go back any time. Menu is varied and food excellent
We have eaten their twice. The first time we had a steaik dinner and felt the service was poor and the food was over priced for what we got. We were never going to return but about a year later we were invited to a banquet. Again, we had a steak. The food was not high quality and the service was poor. When we complained, we were told the waitress was busy. We waited almost an hour for the desert. Tourists will eat there... locals likely will avoid it. The more I thought about... I changed my rating from three stars to two. I
It's high an steaks was dry
Good food and atmosphere
Atmosphere and service are great, the food is just okay.
Slow service. Quality down relative to previous years.
Best restaurant in town
Great breakfast and the service was fantastic. Restaurant is in the Best Western Premier.
Great service and nice bar Didn't order food but next time I will
Good but pricey
Awesome food, great atmosphere
Good food, somewhat good service
Great breakfasts and nice quiet atmosphere.
Food is good, breakfast took a long time.
Great food
Food was great.
Always good and enjoy the variety.
Great hotel love the premier version of BW.
Really nice staff. Quick and efficient seating. Excellent food. Nice little bar too.
We had a vastly different experience at this restaurant than the earlier reviews. Service was snappy, the food was fairly priced, and both of our meals were outstanding. I chose a Tuscan Vegatable soup. It was spicy and as good as a similar soup that I was served at the Grand Tier Resaturant at the Metropolitan Opera. It was wonderful. We both ordered the Elk tenderloin, and mine was cooked as ordered...medium. It was comparable to the Elk served at Sam Arnolds "The Fort" in Morrison, CO...just magnificent. Next visit, I will order the meat medium rare temperature. The restaurant was new to me and medium seemed "safe". Vegetables were crisp and brightly colored...the potato was perfect. We did not order desert. Dinner, two "call" mixed drinks and a two medium priced glasses of Sangiovese totaled to under $100.00. A good value for a first class meal.
It’s okay here. Not spectacular. Menu is uninspiring. Food was good though and service was great.
Great food. Classy place but still family friendly and not over priced.
Roasted brussel sprouts we're delicious. Our meals were tasty, good selection of draft beer (Bomber Mountain and Speed Goat), service was excellent.
