Terrible experience here. My wife ordered the baked chicken breast but what she got was a thigh. Not such a bid deal except that her chicken was way under cooked. we told our waitress ans she said they would cook another one for her. we waited for an eternity and just decided to leave but when we got our check the chicken was still on it and we had to ask them to remove it. The rest of the food was typical diner fare. But serving raw chicken means no second chances.
The owners did an excellent job just like they did with Liza's Pizza. Recommend this for everybody the food is great.
Good service and clean, yummy food.
The food here is all amazing. Just be respectful of the appetizers; they are entire meals on their own and should be shared 1 per everyone you have ever met.
Great little place to eat
Good food but a little expensive for what it is
They should do better at washing their cups. Service could have been better as well. Atmosphere was nice and prices were reasonable.
It was ok.
Breakfast is always good.
Good food
Very good food Great service highly recommended
Cold outside warm and friendly inside. Staff very friendly.. food great.. tasty..
Hidden gem in the middle of a rural area! The onion rings were freshly battered and fried and tasted like delicious fair food. My BLT was exceptional! I would definitely recommend this location to anyone. The waitress was also hilarious and sweet!
Good food good prices nice place
Got pancakes. They were pretty good. I will go back and try more items.
Great food low prices.Great people clean and fast service.
Service was very good. Food was good and best of all good prices.
THERE IS A SANDWICH SHOP DOWN THE ROAD !!!!!! Went in with four other people , mildly busy Sunday afternoon, seated timely, waitress was great, ordered food and had a 45 minute wait for food , but we had time, no hurry. Food finely came out and one of our burgers that was ordered well done, double checked by waitress before putting order cooked on outside and raw red middle. This was sent back to be cooked more, waitress told us the cook said it would be about 20min. Dam! Never took me that long to cook one at home, and they must have a better setup they I do. But we were not in a hurry, the rest of us started eating. We finish eating were waiting for her to still get her meal, 40 min. Later they bring it out to us, burger still slight pink but do able, frys are white , still hard in the middle. The waitress had said she was sorry I don't know how many times and asked the manager to come out and speak with us. A very young girl came out and said it takes time to cook things, if we didn't like it there is a sandwich shop down the road ! Wow! And Holy cow ! My daughter who had been more then up till now, said did you really just say that ? We are not paying for this one meal and we are leaving. This girl manager said what ever and you don't need to come back. Never, never, again, you have lost our business and anyone who I know, too bad.
First.the service was really good but feel I can only give 2 stars. There were 4 of us and all felt the food was mediocre at best. Shrimp were frozen and had no flavor, chic was tender but again lacked flavor and 2 burgers were fair at best. Fries and o rings were greasy.
This place has a nice atmosphere great food and very friendly service I’ve been coming for 7 years and I always come out satisfied
Love this place. It's one of the first stops on every visit to the area, and it seems to get better each time.
Comfort food done right. Blast from the past in Waterboro is amazing. Had poutine and onion rings. My wife had their turkey dinner. I had a bite of the stuffing and it is out of this world. Wait staff is prompt and friendly. Decor is 50s era and the place is really clean. No wait, but on a Monday night the place was really hoppin. My only issue was my onion rings. They were kinda soggy and had no crunch. I'm really an onion ring guy, but I wont get them again here. Disappointing enough to give 4 stars, but Juilian, our waitress was so awesome. She makes a return visit inevitable.
Comfortable atmosphere, good food and service. Recommend getting a Root Beer Float! So delish!
Really good food Michelle was an excellent waitress.
Surprisingly good home cooking! Loved the atmosphere. Very clean. Quick and friendly service. Great prices. Highly recommended.
Probably won't go back. I was overcharged and the manager refused to refund the money. I told her this could mean the loss of a long time customer, to which she said nothing. They also own Lisa's Pizza, Rosalinda's and the diner in Scarborough, which I will skip from now on. The food is nothing special, lots of frozen foods.
Excellent friendly staff, delicious food, and very reasonably priced.
Absolutely fantastic!! Taste to portions and the staff are Awesome.. It's a must try..
My burger was over cooked, my wife liked her meal. The decor is retro, but not outstanding. I would go again for a quick bite.
Went to the classic car show. I don't eat here because the food isn't that great.
Always a pleasant atmosphere.
Old fashioned diner menu. My breakfast was OK. Nothing exceptional.
Great service she was so nice food was quick and tasty!!!!
Very good food and service
One of my favorite places
Much improved from my first visit a few years ago(wasnt any better than readymade frozen meals then). Typical diner food, no complaints. got what I came for this time. Good job improving.
Not bad service but food isn't all that great. Tastes like it all came from a can.
Comfort food nice staff
Love it, awesome food and service...
Great food and quick service
Tried to stop here for some breakfast, upon arriving we didn't realize but we got there 20 minutes before they stopped serving breakfast. When trying to order after watching our waitress walk circles around us for 5 minutes we were greeted with a very rude "We stopped serving breakfast so I hope you're not looking at breakfast menus" it was still 15 minutes before the time the menu had said. She then continued to walk around and take care of her other people until finally coming back to the table and telling us, in a very harsh tone that they are no longer serving breakfast, still before the time they were supposed to. I recommend going half a mile down the road where there's a lovely cafe with friendly people that's all homemade. You will have a much better experience.
When we first went there it was cool looking. We browsed the menu and picked out our order the waitress asked us what we wanted a drink. As a party of two we ordered unsweetened tea for both. As we waited she then came back to ask us again what drinks we wanted . We received our drinks then the waitress took our order. We actually sat and waited for 45 minutes to an hour for our food. Finally the waitress says she forgot our order it was in her pocket and apologized. 20 minutes later we received our order with one not correct. I especially told her BLT with no mayo just mustard. She took it back. Because it had mayonnaise. At this point we were very upset and never going back again. The first thing you should not do is forget your costumers. We were not happy with the service.
MUST GO! I seldom if ever give such a raving review, but when you combine good old diner food with Classic Cars on a Friday night, you will wish your hour wait, was even longer!! Seeing all the classics, chatting with owners, or even if you are looking to buy....it was, as named, A Blast from the Past! Burger and chicken fried steak were great, and the onion rings were AMAZING! Put this on your calendar!!
We go by this place frequently and looked cool but that's about it. The staff was very friendly but the food was extremely bland. Ham dinner with a pineapple ring, mashed potatoes and baked beans served with beef gravy? Thought it was a brown sugar sauce since that goes with ham and was unpleasantly surprised. Both the potatoes the beans had zero flavor. Simple easy foods to prepare but no effort was made to make them actually taste good. We won't be stopping again.
Cute diner, but the food is very, very basic and not great. I ordered the steak tips, which were heavily marinated in teriyaki, covered by soggy, flavorless green peppers, the baked potato dry and shriveled, and the cole slaw a mayonnaise soup. Maybe just stick with burgers and sandwiches when you go here (but don't expect gluten free options). But the restaurant is 50s nostalgia heaven, and they do a great antique car night on Fridays. My kids adored all the old signage inside.
I had the cinnamon roll pancakes and they were the best I've ever had they were so good that I actually asked the cook for the recipe unbelievably delicious!
Awesome place. Great lobster roll and the French fries are fantastic.
Very good service & food
Great old fashioned diner with excellent service!
Great food, great service.
Nice people, good food and very reasonable. Cool retro theme.
Very poor food!! The milkshake was good!!
great food
Great 1950s theme restaurant with Fir evening g cruise in.
Good cheap food
Owner decided to stop breakfast early....pit roast was dried out and the "fried chicken" was Weaver chicken
Tried it on a whim. Waitress was friendly, but the food was terrible. My daughter's burger tasted strange. It tasted like meatloaf! I think they used meatloaf mix to make it? The accompanying fries were simultaneously greasy and undercooked. They were hard inside. The rest of the food was slightly better, but if you call yourself a diner and can't even make the all-time classic of a burger and fries then give up! You don't deserve the title.
Good food. Friendly service.
Great food good service as well
Blast from the past? More like blast through my toilet! (In a good way) my boyfriend and I went camping near by and decided to hit up a diner one morning because I really wanted French toast. He got biscuits and gravy. It was reallllllll good! The next morning we got up and went back cuz we’re big hungry people. I went with the cinnamon roll pancakes and he got gravy again. Real good. Super attentive waitresses. It is what it is there at the diner...milkshakes and eggs are prob really good but if you go there expecting some boujee wine n dine experience you’re dumber than a piece of fried haddock.
Great breakfast with friendly staff. So glad to see that Linda has returned. We missed her!
50's themed diner. Food is ok. You generally get fresh warm rolls while waiting for your order. Friday nights in the summer people bring classic cars.
Nice place to eat. Very clean and not pricey. Polite waitresses and plenty of parking.
Great place to eat
Great biscuits and gravy. Good food, great atmosphere.
A one star, because there is no zero. This is the 3rd and last time that we will EVER go there. We should have known better based on 2 prior visits over the past 8 to 10 years,. Since we were out and about and remembered that Woody's and Vandy's are closed on Monday, we gave this place a chance for its last strike. The first time we went there, many moons ago, was for bacon and eggs. The toast and eggs were OK but the bacon was some kind of industrially manufactured meat wannabe, akin to a flat rectangular plastic 6" long ruler and about as thick as one and perhaps as tasty. We took a several year hiatus and gave it a another shot when it was the only game in town that afternoon. "Perhaps the got a new cook!". Strike 2; the hamburger and cheese burger were OK but the fries were as limp as spaghetti and contained enough grease to open a drive through lube shop. Tonight: the coffin nail, as again, Woody's and Vandy's were closed and we just dined at Town Line a few days earlier. My wife ordered the onion rings and surprisingly no one in the food chain noticed that they were 1/4 black. Thus they were crispy? Not! They had the consistency of a tortilla wrap and were well lubed. Ok, perhaps the burgers will be better! No such luck. The burgers kept slipping out of the well oiled buns and the grease was oozing onto the backs of our hands and down our palms. The fries, you ask? We could only eat 2 each as they were greasy enough to oil a semi. Burgers and fries, cooked by volunteers, at local ball games are 5 times as good and 1/3 the price. We have no idea why they are still in business. We just paid and left, having learned an expensive lesson, and thought it best not to create a scene. Go at your own risk.
Breakfast is great and at a great price!
Such a nice experience. Diner atmosphere at oys finest. Great service, good food, and excellent price.
Friendly service and a great place for breakfast and to meet clients and friends.
Breakfast is the best meal here.
Good food homey atmosphere
This place is amazing. Wish it was closer. My 11 year old loves it here. Hope to make it over on a Friday night...
This place is so fun. The atmosphere is incredible! Absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back.
Very clean and the food was great.
Breakfast is good. Don't recommend otherwise.
Great food. Great service. Was treated like the King of Rock and Roll.
Great serves and great cinnamon roll pancakes...yummy no syrup needed
Very friendly staff, and the food was fresh and delicious, when you travel for work you like to go to places that are local and not franchised, makes you feel more @ home!!
food is okay but slightly over priced.
It was good
Great burgers, not so great onion rings (too much batter), prices a bit steep.
Yummy food!!
Nice food, great fast service.fancy place.
I am so sad to write this review. It has been a couple years since I had been here and was excited to come back as it will be my last time staying in the area and I have fond memories from family vacations spent at car shows and fourwheeling trips at the blast from the past. When we showed up at lunch after riding the fourwheelers trails all afternoon I told my husband order anything its all good here as I had never had a bad experience here. I was so excited to share this place with him.... We ordered an app of onion rings and I ordered the country fried chicken with a ceasor salad and mash potatos and my husband ordered the philie cheese steak wrap. First to come out was my salad. I thought it a little odd as it was one of my sides and our app hadnt come out yet. So my husband watched me eat my salad while he had nothing and it seemed oh then my teeth started to grind and I wasnt sure why until i got to the bottom of my salad and there was grit from obviously dirty lettuce at the bottom of my bowl. Next to come out was our food my husband wrap and my chicken and mash. My husband asked where the app was and the waitress seemed nervous and when she came back said it would be 3 more minutes. We started out lunch and i had to remove the rediculous amount of gravy on my chicken. The chicken itself was moist but something was off my be I was still but off by my salad. I asked my husband how his wrap was and he said it was bland and had no flavor. My stomach sank. When our app finally came my god Ive Never seen onion ring so over cooked absolutly discusting they where almost black. I know what your thinking, what about your mash potatoes. They where lumpy but not horrible could have used more cream or milk. I added some of my copious amounts of gravy to them and it didnt do anything at all for them. At this point I was honestly embaressed and just wanted to leave.I had told my husband The Blast From The Past was great and to order anything and that it was all good food the best mom could make even better. Ive never been so ashamed and embaressed. I honestly dont no why we got a to go box because when we got back we tossed it imediatly. If you want any of the meals I mentioned above I could make it in my sleep better. There is obvious problems with food being but out in the correct order and quality control. On a posative not the pickles and lemonade was good....
Such a cute place. The entire diner atmosphere is awesome and the food is great to!
Sorry to say, this is a subpar diner. Food is not freshly made or homemade. Onion rings were nice & dark but soggy. The wait staff is friendly & attentive. Loved the music. I wish the food was better. We wont be going back.
I really wanted to like this diner because it reminds me of 50s and 60s style diners. I enjoyed the background music, mostly oldies rock. The diner was clean, nicely appointed and comfortable seating. Our server was super nice and very accommodating. We started with a potato skins appetizer that were disappointing at best. The dominant taste was cooking oil. My friends both had onion burgers that they said were good. I chose chicken tenders with fries & pickled beets. Once again, the overwhelming taste of the fries & chicken tenders was cooking oil. The cooking oil could be smelled on my fingers well after I'd finished my meal. My suggestion, avoid any fried foods here. Otherwise it seems the food is pretty good.
Homemade delicious food. Service was exellent.
Great shakes!
Linda is a wonderful server, the food was great! Look forward to visiting again.
Great local dinner with great food and just as great staff
The service was so good! Very friendly and outgoing. Food was great!
The atmosphere was cool like the 60s, but the food was mediocre at best. I liked the service but cannot do better than 3 stars based on the food that we ate.
Awful food and not great service. Would not go there again
Awesome Everytime.
Service was great, food wasn't that great. Bit into a rock that was in my salad.. they gave me another side item which was nice. The burger was plain and lacked flavor. I wouldn't go back.
Wonderful service, great food and very, very clean!
Good service. All three meals were terrible!
This was my first visit here. The service and food was excellent
The food was ok. Waitstaff was very pleasant and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. They advertise hand cut fries but they definitely aren't. Also had chowder on the menu but dont actually have it. Atmosphere was nice and vintage. We had mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, and potato skins. Kids liked them. Wife had a BLT and I had the philly steak wrap. Menu has a decent amount of options but nothing really stood out to me. If I lived in town I might go again but as an out of stater on vacation, I probably wouldn't.
Great food, service prices and old style diner super clean, too.
Both times our experience was bad...service was horrible and took forever. The food itself was disgusting and tasted like it had sat out all day and was just reheated. The price of the food is NOT worth what you get! The table they sat us at was gross with food on the edges of the table and stuck on top. If I could give this a 0 I would and even that would be too much.
The food is great the staff is even better
Good food...fair prices! They are very fast in the kitchen and the staff is always kind
Haven't been there yet
Good food for little price
i loved it its great the food and the cars
Good food, reasonable price and very friendly wait staff.
Super good food with great music
Service great food OK
Took my daughter her while driving through to NH. She loved the atmosphere and the staff were friendly but tge food looked and tasted stright out of a box. :/ mt daughter didnt care. Shes only 5 but there were so many other great options along the way that i would have gone to instead.
Awesome place! Good food and friendly service.
Comfort food,,reasonably prices
Food is garbage and over priced stay away go to town line family restaurant you won't be disappointed
First time here and can't wait to go back. Clean....great food and good service. A+
Always have good service. Food is good and never have any problems
Good food great prices friendly people.
I absolutely love that place. Wonderful food and the 50's layout is the BEST.
Nice diner, good car show
Been there a few times very nice good food. Good waitstaff and good musick
Wonderful vibes and nice staff all compliment the great food here. An enjoyable place to go for a meal out.
Very good food, reasonable prices, nice people!
This is a basic spot in Charlotte. Milkshakes are great but everything here will def clog your arteries and you will surely have a heart Attack or at the least high cholesterol from eating here or this kind of food too often. Lol. So be careful. The food is good and basic. Instagram:@omsatyayoga
Food is good service is friendly Last visit we had a group of 18 so we called 2 hours ahead to let them know. They struggled a bit using only one server, it took some time to very through the meal. I recommend this place still despite that visit
Nice waitress, although she was alone she kept up well. The food was not good though. Even the water had an odd taste. Sorry I would pass on blast from the past. I had steak fries and squash. The steak was good, The fries a frozen type, and the squash was horrible. My wife had the haddock with salad and fries. All was sub par.
The prices don't match the outdated menu. I think you are paying more for the visual trip back to the 50's and 60's
Awesome car shows on Fridays during the summer, and also awesome milkshakes
They don’t open on time, beats the craving of breakfast so we went to town line instead

Great food and great service!!
Overpriced for mediocre food that tastes like it's been previously prepared and reheated.
Love to eat there
Great staff, good food as always!
Great food 50s type restaurant it was a great day I turn 50 in the fifties restaurant with family people in nice the restaurants clean and the food is good what more can you ask for
onion rings were soggy and gross, (microwaved (?))food was just above editable. Shakes, Pies and waitstaff are great, but I will never eat lunch or dinner here again. Not good!!
My son and I had a lunch date here a few weeks ago. Our server was very friendly and sweet, and our food (chicken bacon ranch wrap and cheeseburger) were good
Great food great prices personal very friendly a good restaurant to patronize
Have some good food and car shows on Friday nights during the summer
I was there for the car show, next time I'm gonna order some food!
The staff is friendly and the food is also good. I would recommend this place to eat.
Some of you do not go to the same restaurant as we do. This noon there were 5 of us. Service was friendly and prompt. The salad was fresh and crispy. Entrees hot and delicious. grilled chicken, fresh haddock one baked and one fried, chopped sirloin steak all were cooked to perfection. Dinner rolls the best. Been here several times and always had great meals. Prices reasonable. They serve great breakfast as well.
Quick and always pretty good
The lobster roll was AMAZING!!!
Good food, good sevice.
Love the look and feel of the place. Couple of good items on the menu but breakfast is typically why we go.
Best 50's diner around, great food and friendly service
Terrible food. When I complained that the onion rings were soggy, I was told that's how rings were supposed to be. No, no, no.... They should be deep fried in HOT oil and crispy Cheeseburger was overcooked. Baked haddock was overcooked and dry. Not a good experience
Prices and food are great.
Decent food on the cheap. In the warmer weather there is a classic car meat on Friday's.
Always good food. Fun 50's atmosphere. You can't go wrong here.
Turkey Dinner. Thumbs up!
We went for great food, good people, and fabulous car show. We love going
It's a wonderful reminder that the fundamentals of the past sent dead the food is good the service is friendly and prompt the only downside is it's more expensive then u would think when u see it from the road but unfortunately nothing cost what it did in the 50s all around I suggest if u see it from the road stop in and have a bite
Excellent food great waitress good prices
1st couple times I went here I wasn't impressed. Reluctantly I gave them one more shot and was glad to say it was great! Good food, good service, and service was great as well! Went back hoping jt wasn't a fluke and it was just as good! Hoping they keep it up :)
Good food and service not much wait time
What a fun place with a great retro vibe
