Here you will see all the feddbacks of people who purchased the products of Upstream Brewing Company (Restaurant) in Iowa.
Now the business receives a rating of 4.3 out of 5 and the rating was based on 1487 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is really high, and it's based on a very high number of scores, so we may say that the score is very faithful. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they are satisfied, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to write reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Restaurant.
We stopped in Omaha for a night while on a road trip and happened to find Upstream Brewery while looking for a nice place for dinner. We were SO glad we did! Food was great, the outdoor seating was perfect, and the surrounding area (the Old Market district) was really fun to walk around in on a warm summer evening. I had the pork chop at Upstream and it's one of the best I've ever had. Even the squash tasted amazing. My girlfriend got the seared tuna and loved it. Great experience overall, and even better for being a random find in a lovely part of the city that we were unfamiliar with. We're driving back next week and plan to stop in Omaha again just to go back to Upstream!
I rarely leave reviews, but guys, thank you SO MUCH. I didn't even catch the server or the hostess' name last night because we were in such a rush and I was afraid we wouldn't even get to have dinner before heading to our show. Your team was so polite, took our orders so fast, and made sure we got in and out as quickly as possible. I don't know many restaurants that are as quick and polite as the Upstream team. Thanks to you, even a closed interstate couldn't damper our date night, and I'm forever appreciative.
Only get a cup of the soup. A bowl is too much. Not worth the commitment. But tasty. The salad was drowning in dressing. Disappointing. We loved the TOASTED beer bread and artichoke cheese dip.
Best food and hand crafted beer hands down.
The food is always delicious. I haven’t had one thing on the menu I didn’t love. The atmosphere is nice and they have a good selection of beverages. It has an upscale restaurant feel with reasonable prices. I would give it 5 stars if the staff wasn’t such a hit or a miss. You either get a super awesome server or a really crappy one, but it never changes the taste of the food!! I would definitely recommend this place. I wish they hadn’t closed the one on West Center!
One of my favorite beers of the night from here! Great, quick service on a busy Saturday night. Didn’t have the food but wish we would have.
Chicken fried chicken is the best. Also their bread pudding is phenomenal. 2 people can share it.
Great tomato soup! But bbq pizza and salad were just ok.
We came to Upstream this past Monday night on the recommendation from Tricia at the nearby Hyatt Place. We received a coupon for a free pint of beer with the purchase of an appetizer or entree. We arrived during Happy Hour, so we sat on the bar side of the brewery. I had the Firehouse Red Ale, which was amazing. I've been on a kick of red ales, and this was flavorful and smooth. My wife had a Dragonslayer martini, which she said was delicious. For food, we ordered two appetizers, the hummus plate and the pretzel crusted cheese curds. I'm not typically a cheese curd fan, but these were good, especially with the raspberry jalapeno jam. The hummus plate comes with three kinds of hummus, along with pita bread for dipping. Nothing out of the ordinary, but satisfying. We ordered the kids meal fish for our 1-year-old daughter. It came breaded, so we removed the breading for our daughter. She devoured the fish! Even my wife who doesn't like fish enjoyed it. The meal also had steamed veggies that we cut up and served to our daughter. All in all, our service was great, although we came in the early afternoon so I can't speak for busier times. When I walked around the neighborhood a few hours later, it seemed a lot busier.
The food here was excellent! We had the pretzel encrusted cheese bites, which as wisconsinites, were truly amazing. They even had a blackberry jalapeño dipping sauce, that was really unique and added a new depth to the appetizer. I got the veggie burger, and my boyfriend got the macaroni, both were flavorful and tasty. I would also recommend the root beer. However, the only reason I give 4 stars and was tempted to give 3 was the service. Our waitress was friendly enough, but the entire staff seemed more interested in interacting with one another then with the customers. She forgot my soup and offered to do it as a to go item, which was nice, but a small discount or a free dessert might have been more applicable since we were traveling. I would definitely recommend going here, but don’t expect the service to match the cost.
We just went for after-dinner drinks and dessert, but we were really impressed. It has a really nice, casual ambiance. The beer and cocktails were fantastic and very reasonably priced, especially with the late night happy hour (11 pm to close). I highly recommend the Smores brownie, it was the perfect summer night snack!
We went in with a group of six and had a very friendly waitress. I had just turned 21 and she suggested me her favorite, sweet drink 'Dragon Slayer'. I recommend! Everyone loved their food and it was good portions. A bit expensive but worth the price. Its a bit juvenile, but I would recommend the Upstream Mac and Cheese. Its very creamy and rich, even better with the blackened chicken! The recommendations on here for the Artichoke+Asiago dip didn't disappoint. They're generous and provide you with a birthday dessert of your choosing as well. While none of us got it, the brunch they host on Sundays had a wide variety of goodies! Would go back for more special events!
I appreciate that they make it easy to secure a reservation, even for a small party of three, online and well in advance. Traditional menu of burgers, sandwiches, salads, but with a more upscale twist. I got the fish and chips and had three huge pieces of fish, fries, and the cucumber salad. I had to take some home because I had filled up on the delicious spinach and artichoke dip appetizer that comes with bread. Delicious food and I have only had great service here.
Service is what I would expect from a much higher scale restaurant. Very impressed with the service. Food quality is fantastic. The the variety of choices on the menu staggering Isis wonderful. As a restaurant owner myself I was highly impressed recommend this place to anyone

Jill was an absolute delight. The highlight of my time in Omaha. Beers and food were good as well. Thanks Jill! You made my time in Omaha that much better. Whenever I am in Omaha, Upstream will be my go to place.
Good food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere.
Went to have apps & drinks tonight. Sat in outdoor patio with 11mo old & my dog on the sidewalk nearby. Brandon was my server & such a genuine guy! Went way above and beyond. It's so nice to get great customer service. He even brought water for my dog. Beer was refreshing, fried calamari was delicious & the mustard with the fried pickles was great. Thanks so much!
Excellent service, food and beer! Would definitely recommend stopping there!
Beer was room temperature and the steak quality was not up to the price. The table service was good. We were at a booth and harsh spot lights shined in my party's face causing them to sit on the end of the long 6 person table
The all-Nebraska sourced Synergy beer is fantastic, and $1 is donated to flood relief for each one purchased. A+++
My friends and I kinda stumbled upon this place. The place looked fancier than the food was. They didn't have a large menu selection, and the food was good, but not worth the money. The drinks were decently priced and my friend really liked her Rocky Road Souffle. The calamari was really greasy and salty and halfway through had to take off the breading. The cheese curds were good, but there were too few for the money. If you want a fancy atmosphere, this is a great place.
Great Service, Great Food, Great Atmosphere and very affordable!
I really enjoyed our visit here. The food was fresh and tasted great, and it came out fast. I absolutely loved the coffee stout :) it was delicious. And everyone was super friendly and provided great service. If we're in the area again, we will definitely be going back.
We used the South Pool lounge for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Chip was easy to work with and the food was amazing! The space was cozy and actually not too loud. We were happy with the service and the selection of food we got.
Fast and friendly servers. The food great. It's a bit pricey I suppose, but the portions were generous. One of our entrees came out wrong and even before we realized it, our server did. She corrected it immediately, insisted we keep both meals and then deducted them both from our bill. The manager came to the table and apologized as well. This was above and beyond the norm. The outdoor seating was also very nice.
Food is good, service was bad. Waitress was nice, but totally off her game. Took way to long to get our drinks and we sat for 45 minutes before she took our food order.

I'm from out of town, my work is local to Omaha and hosted one of our dinners here after a conference. We made reservations for a Tuesday evening well in advance. When our group of about 60 people showed up, we quickly noticed that there were only 2 waitresses assigned to our group (and they still had other tables outside of our group). It took nearly 30 minutes for the waitress to reach me for a simple drink order. We waited over a hour for food and I wasn't super impressed. I ordered a salad, which never did arrive, and we constantly had to hunt staff members down to even get water refills. One of the waitresses told us that apparently their computer system has crashed which caused the delay in our orders coming out...I'm not sure why they couldn't just hand write or tell the kitchen? And I don't understand why we only had 2 servers for a large group WHO MADE A RESERVATION. My whole party was very disappointed. It's not the servers' fault - the manager should have had the night staffed better when he/she knew a big group was coming in. And if your computer system really DID crash, how about A) communicating with your guests before they ask where their food is after a hour of waiting, B) Make sure drinks are filled, and C) Offer some kind of compensation for the inconvenience. My group of 60 - who meets in Omaha regularly - will never be back.
You want a great Omaha steak? You got it! This place has the best New York Strip around, and the beer cheese soup is awesome! Dogs are allowed on the patio here but must stay on the other side of the fence. We drove all the way from Chicago and this was a must stop on our road trip!
Food here is great and they also serve the most incredible home made root beer. For $9 you get a half gallon (64 oz.) refillable container and get refills of the best root beer for $6 I think it’s a great deal as its home made and tastes fantastic. Every food order I’ve made has come out great and will definitely be back
OMG! Great place to be!
Great stakes and the Firehouse red ale was great!
Firkin Good Beer 2019 d awesome! The schnitzel is fantastic!
Great food, I had the Reuben and it was excellent. The lunchtime service was fantastic and of course the beers we're very good. The outside seating was spacious, clean and well shaded. Nice selection of to-go beers.
Worked here as a server for a year before I moved to Florida. Still, to this day, one of my favorite jobs I’ve had. Building itself is absolutely beautiful, always loved being there. Three story restaurant, with gorgeous woodwork and beautiful main level bar. Upstairs bar and pool lounge is fantastic, the beer garden and upstairs deck are also beautiful especially on a summer evening. Beer is fantastic, still miss it, don’t drink anymore but always have to still have one when I visit Omaha. Loved the Passionfruit sour from a few years ago. Working here taught me a ton about how to work hard, how to be fast and about giving good service, and professionalism. As a bartender now, I still know I learned a whole lot about work ethic from this place. Management was strict but always consistent and professional which I very much appreciate and have not had at every job. Overall, this place has a special spot in my heart and I always have to visit when I visit Omaha.
I can’t say enough good things about this place!!! I work for a local hotel, and will always recommend this place to my guests. I know they will have amazing food, great service and just have an enjoyable evening while in Omaha. Every time they come back to the hotel they rave about the food, they can’t believe how nice and friendly the staff is. It never fails. Every time. Keep it up!
Amazing food and atmosphere! Our waitress was great and food was made fresh when ordered. The manager helped package beer for our road trip home.
The Reuben sandwich was one of the worst in Omaha. Very thick heavy not grilled bread with skimpy filling. The atmosphere is nice and the beer is excellent.
Their seasonal brews are very good as well as their regular selection. They have a variety of atmospheres including a lounge area, bar area and a restaurant area. All are great for date night or a nice night out with friends. Located in the heard of downtown in the old market it is a great location!
We were craving some fish and chips so we headed over to upstream brewing company to give it a try. My wife's fish was so tough that she couldn't even chew it! Manager was cool enough to comp us for the meal. Cool environment but food experience was poor
Tonight we shared pizza, chili, wedge salad, beef stroganoff, and fish n chips. I can't think of anywhere in Omaha that I have had better of any of them. I know it's a brew pub, but the wine list is fantastic. This could be the best all around restaurant on Omaha!
The service at Upstream was second to none. I've never felt more appreciated at a restaurant. The kolsch and the cheese curds were top notch. Great atmosphere too.
Great food, great beer and great atmosphere. The restaurant is in an old warehouse and has a really cool feel to it. The staff was extremely polite and knowledgeable.
Luv the ravioli ,roast beef , salad. Everything prepared just right. Staff is smart , attractive , nice
Needed to kill time before a flight. Good food and beer. Even better service from entire staff.
Excellent staff, tasty beer, and a nice lounge area up top.

Amazing atmosphere ..food is fabulous
A must-stop in Omaha. Fun place with great service.
Never had a bad experience at Upstream. Great food and their event catering service is incredible.
Service was fantastic; very friendly wait staff! Everything else was just mediocre. Not a terrible time, just flat of my expectations.
Great food and great service! :D
Great staff, good food, fun atmosphere.
I have never experienced such great quick service! Excellent food and amazing atmosphere:)
This is the second time we've been here. Food was good both times. We had their rib eye special with bacon kale and truffle fries and the kids shared the mac and cheese and blonde pizza. Their brewed beers consist mainly of IPA's and lagers. No dark brews, at this time that i saw, which is what I prefer. But my Moscow mule was mixed well and his red ale was pretty good.
Fish and chips were amazing and the service was great. The fish and chips came with three small pieces of fish. If the portion was larger it would be an easy 5 star.
The service at Upstream was second to none. I've never felt more appreciated at a restaurant. The kolsch and the cheese curds were top notch. Great atmosphere too.
Order "to go" was be prepared bary slowly. I wait about 15min. Just 4 star today.
Food is good; good drink menu. Husband loved beer choices. Really busy on weekend evenings; make reservation
This is our go-to restaurant when visiting Omaha. Always great food and friendly service. Try the bread pudding!
My friend and I went to Upstream because we heard it was the best restaurant in town. The service was absolutely horrendous. Other parties got their orders taken before ours. Getting our drinks took forever to come. I ordered a sample of a beer. That sample and my friend’s beer arrived at the same time. However, my actual pint of beer didn’t come until I was done with my meal. On top of that, my waitress delivered the wrong beer. I told her that was not my beer because I ordered a stout and she countered with, “Yes, it is.” (She brought me a light beer). The waitress never checked up on us and claimed the bar was busy and that’s why my drink took forever; yet, others’ drink orders came before ours. The manger must’ve heard my friend and I were having issues with our waitress because she delivered my stout herself later. I’m not sure if the terrible service turned the whole dining experience sour, but in the end, the food wasn’t even that good.
Hit this place up twice during July 4th weekend 2019. Great Service, food, and desert! Highly recommend!
Great place to dine! Too much waiting so we opted to sit in the patio(no queue). The server was nice and the orders came fast! Drinks were good! They have a great variety of beers and cocktails. They have good food, pizza here are different! They are simply amazing!
Very nice service and delicious food
Stopped in for a flight to try some local brews while I was in town. Beers were ok but the bartenders couldn't have been more disinterested. Tried to get some backstory and explanation of their beer and brewing process and either they didn't know or they didn't care enough to say anything about them. I guess I'm spoiled from my local brewers who are proud of the efforts they put in. Ok, whatever... I can draw my own conclusions. When we were done and ready to pay I told disinterested bartender (didn't catch his name but easily identifiable by his little handlebar moustache and man bun) and he walked away and bussed some plates from down the bar. I repeated my request and he made some stupid comment like, "that requires something from you.". No, it requires YOU to tell me what I owe. I had many great experiences while in Omaha, but this wasn't one of them. Quality of food and drink aside, I can't recommend this place simply because of the attitude of one employee.
Great food, excellent atmosphere, and good service. Eating outside was nice.
Wonderful beer , appetizers and entrees. Wait staff is quick and on point.
My husband and I went here for his birthday dinner and we had a great time! The food was amazing and service was pretty good! He really liked the beer. They even offer a free birthday dessert. We will definitely be returning!
Usually have good experience here but wasn't very impressed this time. Food was room temperature. Beer was okay. Wanted to play pool but we were told the whole room was booked for a different event and we couldn't play even though no one was in the room..
The Fried Pickle Appetizer is amazing and if you’re trying to decide what to get for a meal, you can’t go wrong with the Pot Roast. Great environment.
The corned beef and cabbage was spectacular!
Great beer, professional staff.
The definition of four stars. Great for groups, everyone will like it, no one will rave about it, but noone will be unsatisfied. That description is true for the food and the beer.
Great brewery here! They really have it together. Nice downtown location. We went to get food. I got honey bbq burger and flagship ipa. Large area to chill and drink, upstairs they have a pool table and chairs. Awesome feel here. Nice staff. Beer is golden with large hops taste. Smells like piney with sour undertones. Tastes bitter with plenty of hops. Definitely coming back!
My wife and I go to Upstream on a regular basis and have normally had a very good experience. We went there tonight during happy hour and when we got our bill it was for regular price. When I brought this to the attention of our waitress she seemed annoyed but checked on it. She came back and had my drinks corrected but not my wife's. I asked her about the happy hour price for my wife's drinks she was very frustrated but checked on and came back with the correct bill but in all this took nearly 30 minutes!! Very poor experience! Instead of owning up to the problem she blamed it on the bartender and the manager?? We will still go to Upstream because it is normally a great experience but tonight was terrible! I just wonder how many people she has done this to that have not noticed this?? Normally my rating would be a 5 but not tonight since my bill was $25.00 more than what it should have been.
My daughter and I ate here last night, we are visiting from out of town during a volleyball tournament. Thought steaks (both got the New York strip steak - medium rare) would be good in Omaha Nebraska, but we're very disappointed. Steaks were tough/rubber and no flavor. No bueno for $28 a plate!!
We ABSOLUTELY LIVED THIS PLACE. Great creative menu, lots of options, the beers were astounding. Blackened Chicken pasta was stupendous. Definately have to check this place out if you are in Omaha!
Fantastic food, fast friendly service. Comfortable atmosphere. One of our favorite places.
The steaks were delish, loved their happy hour, good food for a decent price. Will def be back!!
Fantastic place. Might be the best fish and chips I've ever had. Good beer. Nice kids menu. Offer a gluten free menu as well. Highly recommend!
Great food, great beer and great atmosphere. The restaurant is in an old warehouse and has a really cool feel to it. The staff was extremely polite and knowledgeable.
I had gastro distress for more than 24 hours after eating here. I had fish & chips, I think it was the cucumber side tho I only had a bite (not prepared as advertised, plain watery slices)
Great food and atmosphere. Just go, it's great.
No bad seat in the house! I have gotten to eat upstairs, downstairs, and outside and have enjoyed my experience every time! The food is excellent with a lot of variety. Of course the best part is the beer. The selection changes regularly so it’s a different experience every time!
Was in Omaha on business and ate here twice in the week. Great beer, burger, and cheese curds.
Great beers! Knowledgeable staff! Worth a visit.
If you're looking for beer, its good. If you want a place that won't rip you off, I wouldn't recommend this one. Pizzas are on special for the night we went. One of their choices is the Italiano pizza. All I wanted was a pizza with pepperoni with tomato slices, both of which are both on that pizza along with 5 other ingredients I didn't want. So that's what I asked for. Seems simple, right? Wrong. When I got the bill, they charged me for a $7 pizza (which was the special price) with an additional charge for $1.50 for tomato slices (which is more than the price of an entire tomato). I saved them the price of 5 other ingredients on my pizza but got charged $1.50 extra. You know what the bartender said when asked? It's because it's easier for the kitchen to put it in with additions instead of taking 5 ingredients off. When I pointed out how ridiculous this was, she tried to tell me "well it had a different sauce", which is an absolute lie. I don't know if I'll be back to Omaha in the future but I won't be coming here.
Fish and chips were excellent. An Omaha favorite!
Great food, I had the rocky road desert... fenomenal! Happy hour makes a great deal! And the flagship ipa is highly recommended!! When I come back to Omaha... for sure I’ll make it here again.
Great food. Great service. We are in town for a wedding. Party event after we ate dinner was very well done by the staff. My wife and I would highly recommend you visit Chophouse while in the area. I had their root beer as I don't drink beer. Very tasty.
Reserving a table ahead of time was a time saver, the food was phenomenal, and our server Ryan was GREAT and super kind. We're from out of town, but plan on coming back!
Moderately priced. Food good. Beer good. Good thing was multi-leveled so different things going on in different areas.
Excellent ribeye steak! Wait staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable about gluten allergies.
Went here as recommended by the hotel staff, and generally I like brewery restaurants, so I considered it a perfect place to try. I liked the old downtown surroundings. We were seated right away, but first the service was kind of slow and it didn't appear to be too overwhelmingly busy. Second only one hidden TV was fulfilling to the Iowa/Nebraska experience by putting on the Cubs game as the more visible ones put on the Mets/Braves game - WHAT?!? Other TV's had ESPN news loops on. I, a former vegetarian, ordered my formulaic veggie burger due to the small menu having entrees that were too big. The local beer was just standard, and nowhere near great enough to make the IA/NE beer experience memorable. I liked the grainy texture of the veggie burger patty, but that was the closest part of the dinner to make a memorable experience of an IA/NE dinner but it was nothing close at all. Well, I did like the old building ambience and it still was a decently fun travel outing.
Get the Pot Roast and Spinach Artichoke Dip. Put the menu down and do it, now.
Nothing I haven't had before but good
Went with a group. The Gouda cheese beer soup was fantastic. Their bread was good, but defintely add butter as it really shines when you do. I ordered their special which was a seafood pasta in a brandy cream sauce. It was a bit bland. I expected more seafood flavor, but if you don't like any fishiness this might be for you. The amount of seafood for the price of $12.99 was good. It came with a big piece of their bread as well. This meal I was limited in what I actually tasted. Everyone in my group seemed happy enough with their meals. This teeters between a 4-5 star for the food, but I gave them 5 because their service hit it out of the park. They worked as a team and were thoughtful with the food we ended up packaging up. As to the food as it's only a limited amount that I tasted, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since I have heard good things about them. The menu is quite large so that's a lot more to explore. Parking is... Old market parking.
Might have been better if we weren't seated right next to the patio roof seating door, which was opened, on average, once every 10.3 seconds, le%ing in cool air every time, and most of the time no one pulled the door shut. "Grilled" shrimp on pizza showed no sign of being grilled but pizza was still good. Service was very good.
Valerie our server was terrible. And even made some suggestively rude comments
Bicyclist approved: tasty food, tasty beer, social environment. My server, Jade, helped me order pretzel bites with cheese and hummus as an appetizer, a falafel with lime chicken rice soup and a burger as a main dish, and a nice IPA to top it off. Fresh and yummy carb load dinner. Must-see in the downtown Omaha area.
A great place with only one bad experience with a single waiter named Shane who was short and blunt/rude(might of been having a bad day or thought early 20's dont leave tips but come on bro...) but all the other times were delightful they normally have very friendly staff with great food (try the artichoke dip and the bread pudding.. I get it every time) its boasts a great ambiance in a historic building and i love that they have their brewing apparatuses on display... The upstairs has 3 pool tables for 6 bucks an hour which is a pretty good deal and their staff is pretty regular meaning you get to see the same friendly faces each visit
Hello Happy Sunday evening , tonight was my first time dining at Upstream Brewery in the Old Market here in Omaha , Nebraska . I'm a resident of the city and having dinner at Upstream Brewery was an exciting experience in dining at this fabulous restaurant
Multiple craft beers, wide range of food types. Really, really good food. Try the stroganoff. Deee-lish! We try to eat here everytime we come to Omaha.
Great food. Plan on making reservations on the weekend or it is an hour wait minimum. 12 craft brew beers on tap with options from salad to filet. Highly recommend
No bad seat in the house! I have gotten to eat upstairs, downstairs, and outside and have enjoyed my experience every time! The food is excellent with a lot of variety. Of course the best part is the beer. The selection changes regularly so it’s a different experience every time!
Love the ambiance! The pizza and steak are great! Have an in-house brewed beer. If don't want alcohol, try the in-house made rootbeer! The bar tenders the night we were there were amazing! It's a Must-Try place! *Make sure you take pity on the grains that didn't make it to beer*
This place is great! My wife and I love going here. The inside is very cozy with an overlooking top floor. Great beer selection. Love the scotch ale! The jambalaya and strip steak were amazing too.
Great food and great beer. One of my favorite flight experiences!
Beer is good. The artichoke dip is phenomenal with their beer bread. Service was super friendly and the space is inviting.
In a big old converted warehouse with plenty of seating and a view of the fermenters this is a cool place. The wait staff is friendly but the place is so big and there's so much going on I felt a little lost. That's why the 4 stars. I have been there 4 times now and haven't had a bad meal. The firehouse red is a great beer. It's a good place for large parties.
I checked out this restaurant on Facebook first. As I like craft beer I was very interested in this place. The food was good, nothing over the top but tasty. I did like the beer, as it surpassed my expectations for a restaurant. However, be advised that the menu pricing on Facebook, is "not" the correct pricing as per their menu. Menu is $5 to$7 higher per item than Facebook posting. I immediately told our waiter of the discrepancy upon ordering. He said "sorry" but that was it! No adjustment to our tab or anything! I expected him to at least ask his manager about this, but not the case. When menu prices are posted online, I "expect" them to be the same at the restaurant! Not good customer service Upstream Brewing Company!!!
Great place! Love the beer and the fish tacos!!! Can't get over the tacos. Its light and a hint of heat. Perfect with a cold beer.
Best Beer in Town and good food as well. A fun place to relax. We come here all the time. Could use some happier staff though...last night we got a terrible server. Then at the end, he got all nice...??? The beer and food deserve a five star, but the waitress left a bad impression.
We really enjoyed this craft brewery, Nice drink selection, food was delicious and service was awesome! Go check it out!
Upstream has a wheelchair accessible entrance and seating, an elevator to the 2nd floor, but the restrooms are not accessible. Plan accordingly. Food is okay.
We split a couple of appetizers off of the pretty extensive menu and were very satisfied (fried pickles and bacon wrapped shrimp) The drink menu has a wide verity as well! In house beers are excellent! Definitely recommend!
Fantastic pub. Here in Omaha from out of town, needed a place to waste time for a couple of hours. Hopped over to upstream, and I was not disappointed. The home brewed beers are very very good. The food is fantastic, and comes super super fast. Everytime I saw food come by, I was amazed at the quality. All the food looked good, and my steak was very good. Service is A+ as well. Very attentive. I would recommend upstream to anyone.
Service is great and extremely fast! Rich (waiter) is a gentleman’s gentleman. Beer was very good, and steaks were awesome.
The Kolsch I had there was the best beer I've ever had! The Omaha steak was also delicious. If you're not an American Citizen, make sure to bring your passport (not another form of ID) to be able to drink there.
Awesome steaks! Love the atmosphere.
Wine and apps are the best. Always enjoy the outdoor seating in the early fall, so Nice! Great for friends and family!
Great brewery and restaurant! It's a rare occasion when a brewery has both great beers and fantastic food but Upstream pulled it off to perfection. As on top fantastic service by our bartender and this is a place to visit often!
This is probably one of the finest and coolest places. The place offers so much fun and frolic. The chill vibe of the place makes you enjoy your visit to the Upstream Brewing Company. The unique ambiance leaves you spellbound and you love to visit the place again and again.
I didn't like my hamburger, there was blood on the bun and it wasn't hot. The bun was cold also. It had lettuce and tomato, but no onion. I went there because they charbroil them. Not your juicy delicious burger.
Very nice and cozy brewery with many good self brewed beers. The beers vary from 3,8% to 6,8%. Depending on your taste you will find your beer, also with the help of samplers. I can recommend the burgers witch are really delicious. The brewery itself is big so there is plenty of room for everybody. Highly recommended!
Always a treat to eat here. Aad that I have to go all the way downtown now, so it just happens less. The drink menu is ever changing, so I really, really, really miss the pixie stick martini. That was the best martini I had ever had. Tonight's substitute was the pear martini, it was delicious, but not rimmed in sugar. Hubby wasn't in the mood for alcohol so he actually tried their brewed rootbeer and said it was very good. I stare at the menu every time trying to decide what to eat today, hubby always chooses the pork schnitzel because it can't be outdone. Today I chose the mac and cheese and opted to get the blackend chicken on top. I wish I could make mac and cheese this yummy at home. I've never had bad food, or bad service at Upstream. Will keep coming back.
This pub is jumping! Terrific service with extra effort to help us when we arrived way before our party had been booked. Terrific food - nice portions, great flavor, right temperature. Bar service was excellent. Nice craft beer options. We'll - made cocktail. Very competitive prices. Great evening all the way around.
Food was excellent and Rich took great care of us.
Couple visits in the last month and many more over the years. Once again upstairs enjoying Omaha people and a great long time 23 years plus brewery. Will is doing a great job making everyone feel great.
Great atmosphere in the Old Market section of Omaha. Large enough to offer multiple options for seating (including sidewalk outside and deck upstairs). Food is good, and menu has interesting options. The combination of good beer, decent food, and quirky, interesting atmosphere is hard to beat.
Great experience! Went there for lunch with seven colleagues. There was a slight wait for a table, but in fairness we didn’t give them any notice. Wide variety of food during lunch, the group had a little of everything. Atmosphere was nice. We sat next to the brewery which was cool. Our waitress was knowledgeable and courteous. It was my first time at the downtown location and it didn’t disappoint.
Mhew...another craft brewery...take the lamb kabobs off the menu, if you can’t cook Mediterranean correctly then don’t try to fake it
The food is amazing here!! I had the Italian shrimp bowl! It was delicious and healthy. Also had the Smoked salmon sandwich! Seasoned perfectly! The Southwest beef with poblano soup was to die for! And great fries!! Casey was our waiter and he was a pro from hello! Oh great beer—had a flight AND love the atmosphere! Wish we had this place in Kansas City!
The drinks and food were amazing. They have such a cool environment and was surprised at how clean it was! The severs and bartenders were friendly. They have lots of tvs and pool tables as well! In the 3 days we were there, we went three times because we loved it so much!
I had a fantastic time with my dearest here. The food was great, as was the service and I will fondly keep this place in my memory!

Great place for casual dining. Awesome selection of housemade craft beers. The Upstream mac & cheese was excellent. The pork tenderloin sandwich was great too. Very spacious dining areas. Was crowded, but we didn't wait more than 5 minutes. The wait staff is exceptional.
The fish & chips, gouda beer soup, & pot roast were very good. The salmon, while visually appealing, was overwhelmed by the seasonings. The Italian pizza on thin crust was tasty, but maybe a little more prosciutto ham could have been used for better flavor! The service was good & the magician's visit was fascinating & fun for the whole family!!

Great atmosphere , food and drink ! A good time !!!
Great service food was satisfactory but not fabulous.
Amazing local draft beer, with live magician shows on occasion. Not only do they provide excellent service, Upstream provides an absolute must go-to-again experience
The bar was great. Very clean. Super bartenders. Prices were good too
Very good. Good food. Good service.
Good beer, good service, good food, and nice atmosphere. Lots of menu selections from burgers to pasta to fish to steaks. Nice appetizer list also.
Service was great. The food was ok, I think they need a refresh on the menu and flavors.
Beer is ehhh. It's not bad but nothing I had put it above what I've had at other places. Girlfriend liked the one sour they had. IPA tasted like every other IPA I've had at other places. Didn't try the food so don't let this review dissuade you or persuade you in regards to that.
I've never had a bad meal here, the specials are always off the highest caliber. We'll go out of our way for the smoked gouda beer cheese soup.. if there's one thing you have to have, it's definitely the beer cheese soup!
I always go there. Price is good. Service is good. Try their beers.
Unique menu, impeccable food quality. Good service.
Food & drinks were top notch. Loved the pool tables in there too!
Loved this place. Tried almost every beer and all were really good. Food rocked too!
This is an incredible place. Just discovered the Sunday brunch. All you can eat buffet, complete with an omelette station and 6 different mimosas! Fresh salad, baked goods, bacon, carving station, chicken and waffles, and all so delicious!!! The bar is available for alcoholic drinks if you want something different from breakfast drinks :) Normal service is also great. Best cheese curds I've ever had. The raspberry vinaigrette sauce is addictive. I just wished they'd give more for each order. I like the Jackson St Jambalaya. Yes, it's Nebraska. I've also been to Louisiana like 30 times...They do a good job here. 5 stars...Most fun during Farmers Market :)
Great food and decent beer. Loved the choices but wish they had more IPAs. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly! Will visit again when in town.
Great food and beer. Cool atmosphere with a nice rooftop patio. I’d come back!
Quite an enjoyable place to eat and have a pint on my recent trip to Nebraska. The cheeseburger and fries were very good, the beer was delicious and the service was exceptional.
We had family visiting from out of state and decided to check out Upstream Brewing Company. We couldn't be happier with our dinner choice! Our waiter was wonderful and we really enjoyed being able to sit outside. Our food was awesome, as well as the price that went along with it! My husband and I will be back for a date night in the future!
The beer battered fish is really beer battered. As soon as you take a bite into the cod, you truly taste the beer. Delicious! The server made sweet tea for me by adding some simple syrup because they don't serve sweet tea. The server didn't have to do this, but she did. She added just enough simple syrup which didn't make the tea overly sweet.
Stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. The seasonal flight was good, the taco appetizer was amazing and the service was great. The place is huge with a whole second level and nice patio. It’s also kid friendly.
Great food and atmosphere.
Great beer, service, and food is unique and good as well. Seasonal beers are great!
I did not expect such a great menu at a place with 'Brewing' in the name. Our table had a wide variety of dishes and, with the exception of one steak, we all enjoyed our entrees. The root beer and scotch ale were both very good, as was the IPA. The peanut butter chocolate cake sounds a lot better than it was (dry and far too rich) but the caramel bread pudding was unbelievably good.
Great food. Great service. Felt like an upper end restaurant with middleclass prices.
Really enjoyed the Nebraska Nice brew. The server who helped me was great. I ordered fried pickles and a vegetable pizza, which came out entrée first then appetizer. I was alone so it didn't bother me, but maybe would have if I'd been in a group. The food was average, but reasonable for the price. Dogs are not allowed inside the iron gate but they can be right next to you on the other side while you dine. Overall I had a pleasant experience.
Good beer
Service was decent, but the food honestly wasn’t that great. Got the pot roast, and my friend had the falafel- we weren’t super impressed.
