REVIEWS OF The Mango Tree IN Idaho

A.F. Hammock

Delicious. The food I’ve tried here tastes as authentic as any Indian food I’ve tried in any other major city. I’ve only ordered delivery so I have no review of the dining experience. I put 4 stars cuz the portions are a little small (not much meat, a ton of sauce). I do enjoy the sauce over leftover rice or Naan the next day though. I’m glad this place is here and will be taking out of town guests there.

Lauren Lederman

Great food, such a treat to have real authentic indian food in N.Idaho. Prices were on point, would be 5 stars but the service was horrible..not just bad but HORRIBLE. Food came out fast but that was the only good part to the otherwise brain numbingly slow poor service. Shame, hope the owners can get better quality workers.

Jerry Massie

Probably the best & second best Indian I've ever had. Second best because I ate some of my friends food. =)

Safa Riadh

The food tastes amazing, I have been here twice. I got the chicken wrap and the lamb wrap. Again, flavor is great but the amount of meat in either wrap but especially my lamb wrap was overwhelmingly disappointing! There was maybe five total pieces and for $12 I would expect a lot more. P

Jennifer Zaike

Food was delicious, prices were fair, and the service was excellent! We will be back. The kids menu was perfect as well—both some classic kid favorites and some kid friendly Indian options.

Evalee Kieffer

Delicious! Went with coworkers & we tried a little of what everyone had. It was all good!

Denise Goodrich

Absolutely love this place. The food is so flavorful and delicious. This is one of my favorite places to eat

Justin Bahern

The food was authentic and good. Service could be improved. The menu should be more descriptive in terms of main ingredients. Such as cream, butter, or whatever the main ingredient is. Spices and such need not listed. Indian food is very flavorful and spicy which is expected .

Ryan Stice

Decent food, mediocre selection, bad service. Overall the food was between good and okay, but the selection was not great. The menu was limited to only a few kinds of curry bowls and grilled items. The food also took 45 minutes to arrive. The server was nice and personable, but inexperienced and we waited quite a while for drinks, food, check ups, and the check. We probably won't be back and will wait for a real/better Indian restaurant to open up. For CDA, it was okay, compared to others it wasn't good.

Christopher Williams

Awesome Indian food at a fair price. Mango Tree is a staple in my family's "where should we eat out" list.

Dana McCallister

Really wanted to try this place, but I was placed on hold for 10 minutes trying to place a take out order. I’ll try again another time and update my review if it goes better.

JamiSue Sharp

Yummy Indian food.. Great selection to choose from.. My first time in. I rate it a 4 only because they have small portions for the rice. I ordered a coconut chicken bowl with a 3 spice level... It had a good kick to it...if you want some to share it would be nice to have a bit more rice if you are really hungry.. then you can share. Especially for the price.. But overall great service, quick and recommended.. The naan bread was excellent..

Tyler Aylsworth

Food was good, i only wish my water glass was filled more then once.

Roberta LaMarr

Oh sooo good. Had no idea what to order so my friend and i randomly picked three things. They were so delicious. Definitely going back.

Nicholas Emery

The food here was great! I highly recommend the coconut chicken curry.

Nick Ivanovitch

Food was well prepared. Authentic, worth a go out an taste. I didn't take pictures as I'm not a foodie. If you are looking for something outside of local trends an a friendly wait staff look no further.

EM

I REALLY like the food here! Outstanding! Higher prices, but worth it.

Aria Marie

Really great. Definitely get one star (or a less spicy plate) if you can't handle a lot of spice, but the food is amazing. I haven't had anythung here that I haven't liked and try to come once a month

Daniel Monteleone

Very nice place, a bit dark but the food is awesome. Level 3 is a nice middle ground for spice

Katherine Ravert

Fantastic food and great employees! Coming from Baltimore it's been hard to find food in CDA that is descent in comparison. Everywhere "great" per the locals ends up being a flop but this place was amazing!

Handmaiden Rakhel

We had the coconut chicken curry bowl with spice level 2 and it was EXCELLENT! The Indian Coffee wasn't too sweet which was also excellent. And our waitress was the perfect mix of professional and friendly.

sahana shenoy

Great Indian restaurant around Spokane and CDA. We got mango lassi, samosa butter chicken and roti / naan. On pricier side but the food and service is great. Kid friendly.

Gladys Lemesurier

I'm just a little ashamed to say that this is the first time I've ever had Indian food

Adam Munson

Amazing food, great atmosphere

Kris LaMarr

The food was good. Service was not. No refill on drink or water. We got the bill without being asked if we wanted a dessert. We asked for the dessert menu and they never returned to see if we wanted anything. We waited hoping to be noticed but never were. 5pm on a Friday and they lost us.

Lorraine Upmeyer

Great food & service

Steff Williams

Great service, very clean, best mango Lassi I've ever had and I've had them all over the country. Excellent butter chicken and chicken Tikka masala. We compared it to many Indian restaurants in Denver, Florida and California, and it easily meets and exceeds expectations.. We'll be back with friends!

Willy McLean

Great food, good service. Prices are reasonable.

Kathleen K

I love this place. So authentic and delicious. I always get the chicken curry bowl and it is so good I can't seem to branch out to other things. I am sure everything else is super wonderful. The basmati rice is the best, the only thing that might be better is their naan which is so good you can't eat just 1...or 4. I saved mine for breakfast because I was stuffed.

David Fessler

I really tried to give this place a 2nd chance, being that I live a block away but it was exactly like the first. It was 7:30 and not busy. After a minute I was greeted at the front and taken to an empty lounge by I assume the bartender. Bartender brings me over a warm water (no ice even) and walks away. I had questions about a few items since I am newer to Indian food but he proceeded back to his table to wrap silverware. During the next 5 minutes I start realizing that several of the tables around me were dirty so I was confused on why silverware was more important than service or appearance of cleanliness. I decided to leave after 5 minutes without a drink order even, because the previous time everything else started out the same way, it took me over 15 minutes just to order, and once served I never saw the waitress again. I get side work, however why sit a customer in the lounge if you knew you were doing it. Atleast the restaurant side had a waitress that might have seen me. In fairness the only time I did eat here the food was awesome, just not the service.

Don Walters

Great food! This is 4 or 5 star food! The service? Not so good is so far a 1 or 2. As a former restaurant employee, I can appreciate that a new restaurant will have to go through growing pains. I'm wondering if that's the case here or if this will just be normal. We came in the first time and loved our meal. The service was slow as it took about 45 minutes to get our meal. The server seemed to be overwhelmed at first then disappeared after she got a large table. The second time we came here we waited at the hostess desk for 10 minutes, saw several servers, one even walked right by us, bartenders looked right at us and not a single person said a word or even acknowledged us so we left. I will definitely be back to try again because the food was so good. I'm just wondering what will the service be like.

Chris Anderson

Great and different flavors, great service, quick and reasonable price

Brandon Johnson

nice and clean, friendly just not a fan of the food style personally

chintan patel

Update (After 6 Months): They have changed their menu with little bit of increasing price, Quality has been degraded from their authentic curry mix when they had on starting. They might need to focus again on the mix and curry taste. They still maintain their atmosphere and customer valuation. They have introduced Indian burger, wraps, salad mix. This place has perfect combination of atmosphere, Curry Menu with complementary Naan and Rice, Calm and best indian dining experience. Their spice level is from 1 to 5 (5 being hot more spicy)

Kristen Morgan

I just love this place. My husband and I have gone a few times now and the service has been quick and friendly. The staff is very accommodating. Definitely would recommend.

A Singh

Great atmosphere and food, lots of beer on tap

Audrey Swaggert

Absolutely ecstatic about The Mango Tree!!! Everything ordered was SO delicious! Our server was attentive and helpful with questions, great beer selection and amazing food!

Lizann Hooper

I have never had Indian food before but have always wanted to try it. My Dad is a huge fan of Indian food and was beyond stoked that they opened an Indian restaurant locally. We went in for lunch and it was pretty quiet. The place had just opened so we didn't expect a crowd. The service was great, definitely could tell that they were right out of the opening gate though. Food didn't take too long to come out, which was great since my Dad and I were both on our lunch hour. I was blown away with the food. The flavor and spice was amazing! It absolutely blew my mind and my Dad who is a huge fan of the cuisine was very happy and impressed. I have met the owners, who are native to India and some of the nicest people and I couldn't be happier to have them as a choice for lunch or dinner. We will definitely be back!

Jamie Dawson

I thought it was great. Love that there are vegan options. I look forward to going back.

Katie Everett

We went to dinner at about 7pm. We were seated pretty quickly considering the crowd that was there. It took 2.5 hours after we ordered to get our food only to find out one of our dishes was missing. Most of the restaurant was empty by the time our dishes were brought out. The food tasted very good but the service was not impressive.

john gallaway

First time there and most definitely will be back. Ordered the garlic naan bread and buttery fish was so good.

Ben Werner

Awesome food, great service. Been looking for Indian this good for a while...

Tony Stagner

Good service and good quality Indian food. I was slightly disappointed by the modern motif of the restaurant and the perceived value versus helping. I had the Dal Makhani and it was very favorable but the rice helping was rather smallish. I would prefer a buffet option for a better selection and value.

S Johnson

Fun to try something new, but turns out I'm not actually a fan of curry or Indian food.

Holly Puga

The atmosphere is incredible as well as the service. Love the food

Kaylee Neu

Kitchen was busy but holy cow it was so worth the wait. Staff is super nice and attentive, love this place and we’ll be back. Maria at the bar is great!

MK Kenyamite

It met all my expectations as the reviews were right on. The breads were superb, the curries were delicious, the rice was fragrant and cooked through. The service was fine, the seating was adequate, the decor was trendy and there was plenty of parking available in the evening. I can see that parking would be more challenging during the day time hours. Good place to bring visitors because of the quality of the taste. The portions were just a little smaller than what I was hoping at these price points. Hence the 4 stars instead of a 5 star rating.

Heather Graham

I love love love Indian food!! This did not live up to my expectations, especially for the price. Sorry.

Kimberley Seitz

If you're new to Indian food, this is a great place to start because there are a lot of options to try. There's more traditional items as well as more mainstream items such as curry dishes. You could also try a salad or an appetizer, which is a great introduction without a huge commitment. I'd recommend you go there for lunch too because it's less busy and more relaxing.

Yvonne Cress

Delicious! First time having it. If you don't like too spicy get the 1 or 2. I prefer 2.

Samantha Friesz

I have visited this restuarant three times so far. Every time the experience has been great! Friendly staff and fast service.

Julie Porter

Nice local Indian with a twist. I would give 5 but I asked for extremely mild chicken korma and it was at least a 1! Hubby asked for very hot (5) jalfrezi and aloo gobi and was about 0. Service was good but then again, it was Monday night and very slow. Not sure if I would come back. Prefer Taste of India in Spokane.

Larry O'Brien

First time having this kind of food and it was Awesome! Give it a try for something different. And if you have had this kind of food before then you will dedefinitely enjoy.

MrClean Massacre

This place is amazing! We had 4 menu items and all of them were fantastic! Bread is good, beer is good, prices are good as well! This was my first time having Indian cuisine and I'm blown away! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Rebecca Roberts

Excellent food and atmosphere!!

Awesome KidsTV

Maria maria maria!!!!! She is by FAR the best waitress we have ever had at a business. So knowledgeable didnt understand the menu very well and she easily guided my husband and I through it. If you go here to eat make sure you ask to sit in maria section!!

Chuck Fangione

Best Korma around! My whole band loves the spice

Russell Johnson

Amazing food and good service. Definitely coming back.

Jules Porter

Nice clean curry. Not as authentic as bigger cities, but good. I had Butter Chicken with rice and hubby had Beef Vindaloo with Naan (extra hot). Great Pakora to start and Lemon Basil Cider.

Alisha Stevens

The Mango Tree was delicious! I had the Beef Steak Grilled Entre and it was very good. The service was great too. The atmosphere there is calm, pretty private, with accent music in the background, but they also have TVs with sports (or whatever you'd like) on. Overall I though it was great. OH! A tip though, their food is authentically spicy! So if you're used to getting super spicy foods at other restaurants be aware that a 3-4 is quite hot. Enjoy!

Sean Bahr

Really good Indian food. Best naan I've ever had. Can't wait to go back for so more butter chicken.

callee brady

Ordered masala fries, description stated "crispy fries with hearty gravy" received fries covered in tomatoes, olives, and jalapenos with NO gravy. Asked the waiter where the gravy was and he said, "I dont know they've just been changing it up on me" and walked away. Chicken in the curry was red like BBQ Pork. Service was not terrible but not good. Not impressed with the food at all.

sherry urbat

I've never had Indian food before. It was very good. Lots of rice. Spicy. Service was ok.

Amy Jo Ellis

Delicious food! Have it spiced to your level

Brandon Barber

Great food, great service, good portions. Nice layout of seating, and good bar for sports. Overall 10/10!!!

Jon Newton

Great service and even better food!

Linda Ely

Ok food and service. Kind of pricey for lunch

Rick Flock

Very tastey and delicious, good service, try it while you can as people of N. Idaho will not continue to pay 15$ and up for such small portions. You can expect your entrees to fit in a soup bowl filled to about 2/3rds full.

BILL DUVALL

It's a a shame the servers were indifferent and seemed to be in a hurry to clean up and leave, even though we arrived 2 hours before the posted closing time. The curry dishes we enjoyed were excellent. I hope the poor service staff doesn't ruin this potentially great restaurant.

Natalie Bledsoe

My husband and I both love The Mango Tree. Everything from the fresh delicious food to the friendly staff, we would probably eat here every day if we could. I haven't tasted a dish that I didn't like. The restaurant itself has great ambiance, lighting, music, and is very clean. I highly recomend this place to anyone who loves great food and dining.

brian nisse

Great cury definitely going to dine there often. Comfortable atmosphere.

Ben Stallings

The food has been on point every time I've been here. So far, I have had the bone in Chicken, Butter chicken, fish, lamb chops, vindaloo and the biryani. All of it is highly recommendable. Lamb chops have been my favorite.

Bipasha Biswas

One of the best Indian restsurants in Spokane - Coeur d’Alene area! This is supposed to the original Mango Tree. I have been to the Spokane one many times, and took this opportunity to try the CDA one. Walked in late afternoon, was seated promptly and ordered mango lassi and aloo tikki. Not exactly lynch fare but the portion size was huge enough to be lunch worthy. The lassi was thick and creamy - as the picture shows the slow sip of straw leaving behind the creamy concoction. The aloo tikkis were a tad oily, but very flavorful. With the piled up spicy chana (chick peas) and yoghurt and tamarind chutney, it could pass as Ragda Pattice for those who recognize this popular street food from Bombay.

Rohit Raj

Awesome food good options and upscale ambiance. We tried dal tadka, paneer makhni, kadahi prawn and chicken Tikka. Everything was good in taste and quantity. It's clean place where you will love to go with kids.

Gnope Wnope

Goos food! Butter Chicken was really enjoyable

Jeff Bailey

New to Indian food but I have brought two groups of natives and we all loved it!

John Morgan

Service was quick, friendly and helpful. It was an enjoyable experience worth repeating. For such a small menu, it has so many options but not so many as to be overwhelmed. Family dinner or date night, mango tree has 5 stars from me.

Seth Clark

Excellent server and great food. My wife and I both really enjoyed.

Priya Chaudhary

The food was mind blowing.great indian restaurant.

Megan Hulsey

The Mango Tree is a a welcome addition to Spokane. The food is very good,we tried the papadum, garlic naan, Tikka Masala and Biryani. The food was all excellent. However, it seems the front of house staff is largely new at waiting tables. On a Saturday evening at 6 the host was visibly flustered. With an empty bar and many vacant tables in the dining room he was turning diners away by telling them it was a 30 minute wait to be seated and not offering bar seating. We managed to make our way to the bar in spite of the host and our waiter John had our meal served in about 30 minutes. John was excellent, but by and large it seems most of the wait and bar staff need some training and coaching. This is feels like growing pains for a new establishment...hope they can work through it because I loved the food and want to see them succeed!

Trish McCarty

Loved it, super friendly very thoughtful. The food was vivid and intensely delicious. We tried the appetizer platter, grilled prawns, garlic naan, chicken in butter sauce, and a lamb curry bowl. Plus we had a delightful Irish Horse lager and Mimosa. Dessert was a wonderful combination of cheese with a sweet cream sauce and perfect sweetened coffee. Definitely recommend it. We were 3 in total. We all would all order again! Thank You. Our server Jess was on point.

Patrick Smith

The food was AMAZING!!! The service on the other hand needs a lot of work. Seems no matter what time of the day u go service is slow. I was so hungry for lamb Curry that I had to deal with the slowness.

Chris Lighty

Great food. Everything I've tried has been excellent. The whole place smells fresh and clean and delicious!

Dan Morse

Nice restaurant....the Curry is prepared well. The menu is good Indian food, and they have a Nice selection of beer and wine. Good experience...I would recommend.

Rowan Endres

The food is incredible. The service isn't always the best but the foooodddd..

carol samuel

Great friendly staff. Reasonable prices. GREAT food and service.

cynthia rust

Awful service. Server forgot to check back for order after giving water, forgot to put in order, forgot to bring check, and when filling waters on did some not all. Food is good for the most part. I agree with previous review by Matt Donovan about the dough. Ignorant management apologizes and handed out business card calling them coupons and uses white table cloths for dishes with spices known to stain tapestry. This is a new place but won’t be around long if wait staff training doesn’t occur and major changes in customer service isn’t achieved.

Jsingle1922

Great food. I have visited twice now and both meals were fantastic. Service is right down the middle. Neither bad nor good. But the food is sooo good.

rob A

Over all the experience was very good. The dining area was clean and orderly. The waiting staff was friendly and helpful. Thier use of Indian spices was delicious in my opinion . I really enjoyed the Indian take on nachos. They consisted of non bread with cheese jalapenos chickpeas and a delightful amount of Indian spice flavors.

Kelly Silver

Great food, much-needed Indian restaurant in Cda.

Raniel Diaz

This place is so good! Really can't go wrong across the entire menu. Great lunch spot and really close to downtown if nothing hits the mark. In love with the Korma with lamb or chicken. If deciding between Naan and rice go with both. Spice at a "3" is my personal record.

abiraami abi

Good indian food. Nice ambience. A little expensive for the quantity of food served. If not for the price i would give it a 5 star.

torrid is a darling

The food here is absolutely phenomenal and the service is excellent! I have only ever had Indian food in Canada and I was so excited to learn that there was an Indian place that wasn't far from where I live. This restaurant has a wide variety of curries, biryani, and naan bread. Basically, if you're in the mood for something, The Mango Tree has it! I was super duper pleased with the quality of my food and the service! This restaurant deserves to be more well known around town.

Rj Rueber

Went to “lowest rated” reviews and my experience did not match anyone’s. The food ruled, the service was awesome. No complaints.

Christopher Lewis

We have never had indian food. This place was recommended by a friend. It was good. Our server was pretty knowledgeable but still learning. Food was great. Kinda small servings. But good. Would recommend.

Emily Fredericks

Sophisticated atmosphere, delicious and authentic food, and reasonable prices. The menu is very accommodating for people with different dietary restrictions. The only reason I do not give them a full 5 stars is that the service was somethat poor. We waited 15 minutes for the waitress to come back and run our card after she gave us the check, and it was not busy at all. Will definitely go back, hopefully the service improves.

Big Thief

What a insult to Indian Cuisine. The cooks and the owners should be ashamed of themselves. The food is horrible. Shame on you Rakesh for insulting Indian Cuisine.

Good Times

Food is very good, great flavor/ spice to their Curry's and sauces, only gave 4 star's due to when you get Curry's the portion is small and you have to pay extra for Rice and or Nan bread to get a full meal.

kaylie McIntosh

I came at the end of a busy rush, so understandably it took a long time for my food to come. I was impressed by how kind and helpful the staff remained despite the craziness of the situation. The samosas were perfect. I will definitely be back.

Bill Keylon

Service was a little slow, but all were very friendly and helpful. Didn't care much for the lemon vinagarete, but the chicken and coconut naan were delicious. Turning the lights down for dinner might make a better atmosphere.

Jamie-Lee Ringrose

Amazing food, but slow service even when it’s empty.

Sheila Benak

Great food! I love their Chicken Tikka and the coconut chicken.

Dark Hymns From The Cold North

I'm giving this place 5 stars because I LOVE the food. Ive been going there almost weekly now and everything is always cooked perfectly. The staff however (the white girls...sorry) leave a little room for improvement. I usually get my food to go, and every time so far I have to stand at the bar with cash in my hand and am ignored by 3-4 employees before someone asks if I need anything. I always tip as well but they never say thank you or act appreciative. All i ask for is a smile and a little courtesy. As i said earlier, the food is soooooo good, and that is what keeps me coming back.

rod rawls

I was really surprised at the portion size...the menu prices look high until you realize that any one order easily feeds two adults. Either plan to share or take something home. Quality is what it should be - delicious, fresh and well presented. I'd never tasted salty lassa before, but I will certainly enjoy it again next time I'm there.

Julie Holt

Amazing food, truly, even the vegan stuff.. but we waited several minutes at the door to be seated and several staff members walked past without any acknowledgement. It was not busy in the least. The waiter was kind and helpful after that. You have got to try the pakora appetizer!

Aaron

Hit or miss... Excellent vegetarian selection, plenty of tasty curries to choose from, appetizers are good but don't expect authentic naan, Indian Coffee or Mango Lassi ... we enjoy the food here but the service can be extremely slow and the servers are poorly trained on the menu. I will say they are generally very nice though. Biriyani Portions are huge but it is almost all rice, the other menu items like curry are relatively small to medium portions and they are extremely inconsistent with their 1 to 5 spice levels. The price point is too high for the semi-authentic Indian cuisine, service quality and overall value. I'm no expert but I think this restaurant needs to management and leadership .

Kate Negri

Went to the Mango Tree 1st time, very friendly atmosphere, great attentive service. I highly recommend the Tikka Masada Curry bowl. Mine was at #4, Perfect !!!

Tytan Cox

The butter chicken is soooooo good! Actually all the food is pretty good!

Da Beek

Pretty new place, great Indian food and nice sports bar.

amour khamis

Good food love this place and nice people

Kathy Martin

The restraunt was cold and all 6 of us were ..cold. The only ones that liked their food was the ones that had the mango chicken salad. The rest of us hated their food taste. The shift manager was going to make an adjustment on the cost of a $19 dollar meal but she didn't. thought India food had hummus available? Their sauces except for the berry were horrible

Chrystall Beitel

Their food is amazing!! Even got the hubs who doesn't like curry to eat it and he loved it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that their to go containers were styrofoam with plastic lids

Cara Nelson

We were originally scared off by the bad reviews about service and staff members but after checking the nearby resturants we decided to try it out. The food was amazing, exept for the naan which was just ok and a bit strechy. The wait time was relatively short at only 20 minutes for 2 people. The spice level was consistant with most other indian restaurants we go to. The prices were reasonable and the inside is modern and attractive. We will definintly be back.

Lyndsay Garland

Delicious food, great service and glorious atmosphere! Love this place!!!

Nic Buchan

Best Indian food I've had in 5 years (since I've moved down from Vancouver, B.C.). I almost had tears in my eyes because the food was that good. I highly recommend giving your support to Mango Tree, and thanking them for adding more flavour that North Idado needs. Thank you Mango Tree Staff & Owners! ❤

Kristy Orr

This is my new favorite restaurant in town, the curry and naan are phenomenal, we will definitely be back again soon.

Mike Kennedy

Food was excellent. Service was a little inattentive. A lot of people in the restaurant which is a good sign.

Kathy Baker-Grigg

We had a very positive experience. Wait staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Good service and great culinary experience. Butter chicken curry, vegetable naan was perfect. Fun Indian cuisine choices. Definitely a "go back to" for us. Reasonably priced glass of wine.

Alex Inskeep

Food was very good. A little expensive for the portion, but we will definitely be returning soon! I would recommend to anyone wanting a nice sit-down restaurant with quality flavors

Melissa Zahnow

Food would probably have been good...but even the "1" (low heat) fried my mouth! It was the same heat as the "4" my husband got. The waitress left little to be desired....waited FOREVER to get a drink, then FOREVER again to order, then FOREVER AGAIN to be served our food. We were literally there for 3 hours, so had to nix our other plans for the night. I want to really like this place, and may try again in the future.

Y Collette

I went in as a party of five. It was on Dec 30th on Sunday. This is one of the busy seasons for restaurants. It was painful to watch only 2servers and 1hostess/busser working. The food is great there but the service is crazy slow. We sat down at 6:05 and we didn't get our drinks till 6:40. Their cook was running the food for us but appetizers and the meals everything came at once and missing one meal. (yes we did get the missing meal) .... If you are short-staffed, you can close a section. That way the servers can focus on the smaller section and actually able to provide a better service. You should have a drink menu not the list of explanation of alcohol beverages. That makes servers’ job easier and quicker. Since there was no menu, we all had to ask ”what do you have for ciders?” ”what's your light beers?” that was another 5 minutes he had to spend at our table. Pre-bussing tables do help bussing faster and quicker. I understand it is really hard to find good employees and strong servers right now but I hope you can figure out the way to improve the service!

Mark D Joseph

Food was good. Just not for me......

Morag Prosser

Great service and wonderful food

Oksana Green

I have been to this restaurant few times and it quickly became one of my favorites! Every dish I have tried so far had the perfect combination of flavor, spice and deliciousness! Prices are very reasonable and staff has been very pleasant and accommodating!

Mary Ferguson

The Mango Tree is on its way to becoming a staple in the area, A place to come relax and gave great Indian food, however, not just yet...... A bit more staff is needed, to make the experience perfect, let's face it.... We don't mind spending if it's worth it, not if it's not. So, spend the money, add more staff in the end you'll be repaid by happy returning customers, after all that's why you opened.

Julie Reed

Mango salad was great! Loved the naan bread

Sam Bakke

Always has amazing food and is quick to serve us. I love the chili chicken curry bowl! A 3 in spiciness is perfect for me. My family will always regard this place as the best for Indian food.

Jeremy Brown

Mixed Grill Plate was great! The mango rice is ok. I'd definitely go again.

Nathan Sylvester

Staff was great, service was fast. Food was spicy, which I get, it's Indian food. We will be back.

Alexandra Benedetti

Really, really great food! Excellent flavor. The portions are smaller, which I liked because I didn’t feel stuffed. I’d have to agree with the many other reviews that mention that the service leaves much to be desired, we had to flag other servers down several times. They don’t have a drink menu for the bar, and have 20+ local beers on tap, we are not from CDA so we hadn’t ever heard of these beers and had no idea what to order. A drink list with descriptions would have been helpful. We were planning on ordering drinks but didn’t because there was no menu. Their plan for offering drinks is just to tell the server what you like and they will recommend one, but people don’t always order based on the flavors they like, perhaps they’d like to try something new or different, and grilling your server for a description of every beer is uncomfortable and unrealistic. I imagine they lose a lot of potential drink sales this way.

Jennifer Toelke

Delicious! Dishes were flavorful & spiced just right!

Eric Schenkenberger

I loved the food! I got a 3 out of 5 on the spice, and that was plenty for me, and I generally like spicy foods. They do have outdoor seating, but it wasn't set up as of the first weekend of May. I do wish the atmosphere was a little more cultural, as it felt pretty American, but that's not a big deal. Definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely the best Indian food in this and the Spokane area. The server was extremely friendly and the environment is nice. They just opened so definitely have a little patience, the wait is way more than worth it!

Love this addition of restuarant to the Coeur d'Alene offering. Food is good. It is spicy if you are after that. Staff is very helpful. Legit Indian food.

I love their food, but I don't know what is wrong with their to-go procedures: I called to place an order and was put on hold for 15 minutes only to be hung up on. When I called back multiple times the line was busy for an hour. I had to physically drive down to place an order and then wait 15 minutes before the food was ready. Not the ideal to-go experience. I might laugh about it, but this is the 3rd time this has happened. Contact me if you want to remedy this review.

Delicious Indian dishes in a colorful and cozy atmosphere. The table service was average at best. But the food---- So tasty. I'll be back.

Mangos the best, new Menu even Rocks!

It was a nice experience. One thing I found missing is that, it does not have so many variety of indian cuisine that a person who once visited india expects. They should focus more on true indian cuisine rather than amalgamation of indian and western cuisine together.

Very good food, lovely dining room, large variety of craft beers. A tad on the spendy side.

Food was absolutely amazing! So delicious will definitely be back! Service was very nice and polite but needs work on promptness.

We ventured out of our normal cycle of restaurants to eat here. We were not disappointed. I had the Indian chicken salad, my husband had the beef kabobs and my daughter had the Indian style flatbread. All were very delicious!! The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!!

My wife and I definitely enjoyed our evening. I am a big fan of mangos and they have a lot of dishes that incorporate the fruit. We had the chicken naan (pictured) as a starter. Tasty and unique but not worth the extra money over the regular naan. I had vindaloo and my wife had mango curry. I went 4 star and it was definitely on the hotter end of 4 stars (no problem for me) and the mango curry was very thick and sweet. Also got a mango lassi which was delicious. Overall, it is on the pricey side but a place to check out and go to on special occasion.

Excellent food and although other reviews mention bad service, I've never had that experience. Great selection of curries and naan and always pleasant servers

Wonderful food , friendly staff. So glad there's a great place to eat Indian food in town. Definitely coming back.

The entrees available at Trader Joe's have more flavor.

Very very good food! We had a bigger party and the server missed one of our meals but they fixed it pretty fast and were super nice. Diffently will go again and not just because it's the only Indian restaurant around :)

The Ladders Of Life

Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. We arrived at 8:30 for dinner. We ordered and the food was great. Our waitress told us that she couldn't bring us anymore bread because they were closing. She also complained about how tired she was and that they were short staffed. During dinner, another employee started mopping the floor around our table. Then promptly at 9, they flipped the lights out on us. I was made to feel guilty for coming in so close to closing. We ate our food as fast as we could and left.. Unfortunately, although the food was excellent, we will never go back. Shame. Crying shame. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I plan to try it again when I travel that way. Unfortunately, we caught them on a bad night. They had low staffing no bartender and a sick hostess. I'll be back in 2 months for a second shot.
