One of my favorite local places. The prices are fair and the service is good. Eagle has a lovely outdoor area. Downtown is also great — two different feels. Menu is unique but you can also find common favorites. Definitely recommend.

Over priced food (although delicious) and extremely loud. The atmosphere is very strange because it is very much a sports bar, but also trying to be a swanky uptown place. The vibes clash, you can't talk to the people you are with because of the noise, and service is very poor and slow. I do not recommend this place except for a quick drink and appetizer maybe, but plan on at least an hour or two even for a "quick stop" and bring lots of money.

Tonight we met some friends from out-of-town at Bardenay in Eagle. We like going there for their signature cocktail, and my husband swears they have the best greyhound in town—because it’s made with fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice. On previous visits, although the food and drinks are always good, the serving staff has been mediocre. That is until tonight. We had the pleasure of having Chancie as our server, and she was engaging, personable, and professional complete with a sense of humor. She took great care of our table and made us feel welcome instead of customers being processed through. We’ll be asking for her the next time we stop in.

Fabulous food, just not a casual conversation atmosphere in the main restaurant area due to the noise level. I thought it was an upscale eatery, so was unprepared for the bar atmosphere. That's on me. Definitely would eat here again on summer so we could enjoy the open patio.

Always packed for some strange reason. Especially considering you can walk by and see all the filthy workers out in the back smoking as you walk in. Service is always slow and I mean it takes 10 minutes at the very least before someone comes a long and takes a drink order. Food is always sub-par each time I've been. The one time I ordered a steak I got tired of sending it back, it's really not that hard - medium rare is not charred brown and dry. I'm really not that picky either so this says a lot for me. Only plus side is the drinks are always on point. Probably the only reason I keep going back is because it's close by and the drinks are great. Just don't expect good food or quick service.

The only reason not for 5 stars was service was off.. table of 6 food came out at all different times. Waitress was a little MIA. Food tasted good. Table had salads, sandwiches and a shrimp main course dish. Drinks were good. No reservations accepted but has a great bar area to wait. I love sitting outside..I would go back again.

I came here with a biggish group for dinner. I was excite to try their food since many of my family and friends had been here and liked it quite a bit. As you can tell, my review skews negative. I ordered the charbroiled burger with a gluten free bun. I know which buns are which because I've been Gluten-Free for around 10 years, not by choice. I've had these buns before, so I know to expect it to be falling apart as I eat. This can be avoided by warming the bun in an oven or skillet, but they probably do not usually do this. They brought the burger which came with soup. The soup was pretty good. Chunks of chorizo and beans made it hard to hate. It was, iirc, $1 extra for cheese. Which would have gone a long way for flavor, which this burger did not have. I cut the burger in half and felt the bun, which felt cold on the outside, and it was nearly frozen. It was likely frozen because they do not expect customers to buy them often and they go bad quickly. I asked for another burger and they brought it without any embarrassing questioning, which I appreciated. I'd say all the staff were friendly and helpful btw. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal well enough, except for some external factors. The wind was blowing very hard so the door to the patio kept swinging open and blowing cold air directly at us.

This is a must stop for even the fussiest impatient newbie to our valley. Bardenay was one of the first gin distilleries in the country since prohibition. Such a great venue. Try a home distilled dirty martini, sip it riverside and the day is complete. The food is great, I love the albacore sandwich and a local IPA. ALWAYS great service. Remember, Idaho is chill and good things take time, even great service. Who is in a hurry anyway?

I loved having a romantic dinner with my wife. The distilation column is really cool, but make sure you book the behind the scenes tour of you want to see it. I have to say the cheese plate selection was very very poor. The trout and seabass are to be recommended. The beer selection is above average. Don't try the rum carrot cake because it wasn't worth the calories.

The one in Boise is far superior. We ordered Bloody Mary's and the celery ends were totally brown and shriveled up. The Apricot couscous was dry and not even close to what I was served in Boise. The burger on the other hand was delicious !

Unique food choices set it apart from the chain restaurants around. The environment and outdoor seating are excellent, right next to the greenbelt and river. The indoor seating, especially near the large fireplace, is great in the off season. It's a festive environment that I've never seen when it wasn't crowded. Relaxed environment, great food, friendly staff, and fair prices make it one of my favorites. I just don't like how crowded it can be on a weekend. So stay away. lol

Had the Bardenay Club with Caesar salad, both tasted great. Service is slow as is delivery of food. Took more than 35 minutes to get order from the time we sat at the table. Huge draft of cold air inside when the patio doors are open. Tasty food, but not a place to go if you are in a hurry or really hungry, and take a light jacket.

As much as I hate to say how popular this place has become and how difficult it can be to find seating, I have to give them respect for how courteous and helpful the staff is. The lack of space is definitely outdone by their hospitality and I wouldn't have it any other way! Great drinks, good food, a little pricy if you're on a budget but well worth it!

Good service and okay food. The atmosphere is smart casual. They have a large outdoor patio. However, you may encounter lots of mosquitoes in the summer when the sun goes down. Inside boasts a lot of seating. The few times I've been here there is a small wait. The service is friendly and knowledgeable about the food. The food is standard bar/pub food.

We have been here on multiple occasions. The service and food is always great but I think they changed the brunch times and menu. Not a fan. Three of us had the biscuits and gravy. None of us will order it again. Both my kids wouldn't finish their hamburger and fries. Unusual for them. My wife loved her salad with seared tuna. I won't go back for Sunday brunch. Maybe give them another try on a different day of the week.

Party of 10 for Sunday lunch. Burgers had no flavor and when ordered medium, they came well done. Steak sandwich was well done instead of medium and very dry. The chairs were filthy and stuck to our clothes when we left. However, the drinks were great so have a couple before your food and you may not care that the food is terrible.

Bardenay is great place to have a casual lunch or dinner. We visit at least 2-3 times/month. Warning to all that EVERYONE seems to be there during happy hours. It can be quite crowded at times. Wonderful outdoor patio area by the river and ponds. Full bar has excellent drinks and bartenders. Pork chop dinner is delectable. The Rueben was the tastiest Rueben sandwich I have ever had, but recently they changed to not shred the corn beef? This might be a chef to chef issue? Also recommend the restaurant serve more lunch items during Brunch.

Not only was our order wrong, it was so busy that we were never checked on to see if everything was okay. Waited so long to order another drink my husband went to the bar to get a refill on his beer and a shot of vodka. When he got back to the table it was so full of stuff that hadn’t been cleared he set it between himself and my younger sister. The bartender proceeds to come over and scream about how we were giving alcohol to a minor and she had done nothing but try to manouver her plate on the table full of dishes that needed bussed. Manager wasted over an hour of our time stating that there was no camera footage of her even drinking but still they harassed us and ruined the dinner and my grandmas birthday. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Wish I could give zero stars. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. And yet again had to pay for food that wasn’t even right. Don’t go here.

Good selection of wines and beers also available, and Late Night happy hour is worth checking out!

What happened..?? I can remember when the Eagle Bardenays had a really good hamburger, - ss I remember it was a 1/2 # and very good tasting. A couple months ago...and again tonight, we ordered 1 and - very disappointing!! A much smaller patty nestled between very thick/breaded bun!! All you can taste is the bun!! No one should ever order a hamburger there!! I can't believe a place that usually has very good food would drop the quslity so drastically as this!! Never, but never, buy a hamburger there! Bud
