Life Matters is the most unprofessional counseling center in the valley. They only take into consideration one side when dealing with marriage counseling. After the third session with David Lemere,. LCSW he was completely unwilling to listen to my views because of the fact that I am a woman. On the other hand he treated my husband with respect and dignity. When I started talking he would talk over me and during our last session because I would not stop talking and let him talk, hence I talked over him. He abruptly and rudely asked to me leave the room. Then right in front of me looked at my husband and told him it was a good decision to leave me and stated that to him multiple times in the room while I was still standing there. If you want professional counseling, that will actually help make your life better DO NOT CHOOSE THIS FACILITY.

Life Matters Counseling, Murray, Utah- Dave Lamere, LCSW- This man will try to make every women and couple he councils pay for the fact that he was hurt by and never got over his first wife. He should not be giving advice. If you are wondering what I experienced just read the other reviews- almost exactly the same: tore me down, shut me up and told my husband he should leave me- and all in one single session. Life Matters is aware of his issues and continues to give this sociopath a platform to ruin women, lives, and marriages; I recommend avoiding both the counselor and facility; I would also think carefully before trusting anyone in a position through which they can influence the direction of your life.

My wife went in for comprehensive mental health with counseling and medicine management. The counseling seemed to be going well, however she was told her appointment with Cindy, the family nurse practitioner, would be over one month out. We took it in stride and scheduled it, letting them know in advance, my wife would not be able to meet for a full hour and would only be available 45 mins (she works next door). She went to a subsequent counseling appointment and confirmed her appointment with Cindy. The morning of the appointment with Cindy, my wife was notified from the front office that there would not be enough time, and that she would need to reschedule. It was a poorly coordinated process at best. If they truly cared about their patients, then they would be more compassionate in the level of service they provide, and certainly be more accommodating in getting the intake forms to the patients prior to "the morning of", and certainly not reschedule or bump a patient after waiting over a month to get in. We had two decisions, reschedule and wait another month because of their mistake, or go to another clinic that will provide the level of service we deserve and need. We chose the latter. If they claim to be professionals, then they need to demonstrate that and not drag those who are suffering along for the ride. I would never recommend this clinic. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. If it is family, marital, or step-family counseling, get a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) that is systemically trained.

Mixed feelings.. front desk in my opinion was unprofessional and rude. I walked in and stood there while one of the staff was talking on her cell phone taking a personal call, and the other one was scrolling through her phone. They all looked miserable to be there. On the other hand, the therapist i met with Breeann was wonderful. She made me feel very comfortable and like i mattered.

Noelle Jones

Great people. Wonderful counseling.

Yesenia Valenzuela

Although my therapist was sweet and soft spoken she did not do anything to help me resolve or cope with what I was dealing with. I pretty much had to absorb my trauma, process it, and formulate my own way of coping mechanism outside of these sessions. My therapist was fresh out of college and only affirmed briefly what I already told her so it seems so unfit I was charged so much. Do your research before giving them a call. Would not recommend to anyone else, better off doing yoga.

This has been a great place for some counseling. It was highly recommended to us and it has lived up to the recommendation. Pat Gooley has been great to work with and the rest of the staff has been very courteous.

Horrible. Pretty sure they have rallied to write their own good reviews. Worse than unhelpful- dangerous! No help, despite begging for it. And despite appealing to the owners to listen and care about what happened. My experience here left me nearly suicidal and more scared and devastated than I have ever been in my life- after just two sessions. I was really in need of help. I don't trust couselors now. Two years later I am ok but more traumatized by my experience there than anything. David Lamere is a nightmare. My marriage which he said to end is ok, but I wish we would have had help to overcome our issues more quickly and successfully. That was the goal but what we got was the opposite. I'm so happy for my family and the life we have together and that we were able to recognize that his advice was that of a sociopath and not a legitimate proffessional. The only saving grace for me after this experience was that I found a review from another women who wrote about her experience there and it was exactly the same as mine. It made me realize that he is a predator and that what he said to me and my husband meant nothing. Her review saved me and that's why I will never stop sharing my experience. Ladies, he will cut you down, disregard you, then tell your husband to leave you regardless of what either of you tell him. It is not because something is wrong with you.- It is because something is wrong with Dave and this place that gives him a platform to practice.
