Dr. Zedek prescribed the right medication but then my insurance changed. I went to see a couple of other doctors who didn't treat me the same as Dr. Zedek. He really nailed it. He is helping me sleep and eat again. I am now paying cash in order to see him, because I am not happy with the doctors in network.

My son was very unmanageable. Prone to angry destructive outbursts and posed a danger to himself. Now since he has been seeing Dr. Zedek, he is able to function. Dr. Zedek is a great physician. I have been struggling with my issues for quite some times and I honestly just ignored it until I couldn't anymore. I went to a couple of other doctors at first but they were honestly just horrible and not apathetic at all. I'm glad I found Dr. Zedek he knows what's he's talking about and he doesn't seem to be trying to just get you out of the office. The only down side is the wait but that's because he actually takes the time the patient needs to figure at what is the next course of action. My recommendation is just show up thirty minutes early and check in. I highly recommend Dr. Zedek can't say that enough. Also his office takes Tricare for any other ex infantry guys out there.

We moved to Nevada in mid 2018. Our adult son had been on Prozac for 20 years and it was just not working so we were looking for a change. We tried Dr. Zedek who proposed a new course of medication based on our son's history of depression. It looks like he nailed it on the first try. Note: Dr. Zedek only does medication and he will have you in and out of his office in 10 minutes, but his office has several therapists to whom he will refer you if needed. The office staff has always been friendly.

Dr Zedek and his office/staff have been a huge blessing in our family, treating our 9 year old autistic son. For many years we sought out treatment through various doctors and facilities, but we were never able to really make progress, let alone find a doctor who cared genuinely. We were impressed from the beginning, with our first appointment and interactions with his staff. In one appointment we were able to make more improvement than we had for the previous 3 years with another psychiatrist. Additionally, the office staff is always prompt and courteous. Our weekly therapy sessions have been productive as well, and everyone has noticed the improvements our son has made. We don't know what we would have done without Dr Zedek's care and expertise.

I went to Dr. Zedek 3 times for help with depression. After trying 1 drug for 4 weeks, I felt it wasn't working. He then prescribed another drug, which I had filled (for $94 - 21 pills), which now I can't use. I always read the drug information that comes with a prescription, just so I can understand the possible side effects, and to be sure any drugs that I may be on that would interfere with it. I am not an alarmist. I know All drugs have some side effects. However, I was concerned that I had pre-conditions that may indicate that this drug was not a good idea for me. I went to discuss this with Dr. Zedek and he chastised me for even reading the insert! He continued to be condescending while I felt that he did not take my concerns seriously. By the time I left his office, I was in tears. This is Not Professional conduct for a Psychiatrist who is supposed to be helping with Depression! I do give 1 star because the office staff is wonderful and the wait time is never long.

Dr. Zedek is a blessing and a savior to me. The last doctor put me on Depakote for 2 years and I was miserable with it. I gained a lot of weight that I wasn't used to, I was tired and unhappy all the time on it, and my family did not like seeing me on it either. When it turned out that Depakote was not even right for me!!! And Dr. Zedek caught that when I went to see him. He asked me why am I on Depakote and I told him I don't know, the doctor put it on me and I just followed their instruction. I was so upset when I found that out because I gained a lot of weight and suffered for 2 years on the medication. In 2 weeks he immediately switched medication for me and now I am so much better. I sleep better, feel more energetic, happier, and my pants are starting to feel loose already. Dr. Zedek has really changed my life and not only am I thankful for his soundness and kindness, but my family thank him as well. I would say he is a real strict doctor which makes you feel as though you are closely being monitored. I didn't know he was also a pharmacologist or had taken classes in that so he knows how the medicines all work and are made much more deeply than just a psychiatrist. He is an honest man and has high ethical standards in his office, and his office staff is willing to cooperate with your needs provided it is all exactly by protocol and ethics which I also liked. I felt safe here. Would recommend to anyone.

He can’t stand that kids move AT ALL and makes them cross their arms during interviews. God forbid you question him at all because he’ll show you the door immediately and/or ban you. Run away from this place. Don’t walk run!!

He cuts you off before explaining anything and tries to make you feel like your a drug addict. He did NOT try to help me...my medicine was stolen (along with other items of mine). He immediately begged me to find another doctor and screamed at me and told me the DEA was going to arrest me! WHO DOES THAT? He accused me of trying to get his license taken away from him... this guy is CRAZY. Everyone of his patients hate him as they all partake in his bashing while waiting to see him! Soon this guy will be out of business if you stop patronizing him. He DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS ONLY HIS BOTTOM LINE. And if you work for him LEAVE HIS OFFICE NOW!!

When I first went to see Dr Zedek, I had no idea that he was NOT a talk therapist. He is an oral medication therapist. I’d been planning to share with him what mean and hurtful things I was scream at those I love. Quite frankly, he didn’t give a poop about my story. He asked me few questions, but didn’t want to hear ‘my story,’ since I went to him, on my own, not send by any court ordered program, I knew it would only be a matter of time before I went off in rage against someone who wasn’t going to take the invectives I was dishing out for the stupidest things. When all he did was prescribe 30 days of meds without listening to my problems, I left there STEAMING. We’ve been working together for about 6 months. What a remarkable change in my attitude and I no longer act out in rage. The drug he prescribed to me is Lamactil. I consulted my brother who is a doctor about how disappointed I was when Dr Z wouldn’t listen to my problems. My brother, who has been on the receiving end of my vitriol simply said, “You’ve been like this for 57 yrs. why not try the med? What’s another month?” So I did it. I was prescribed Lamactil. Within three days both my Rages stopped and a side i wasn’t expecting also resulted from taking the medication as directed. 10 years of a compulsion to gamble all day, every day, disappeared! I had always been told there is no amount of money, no ‘magic pill’ to cure addiction. Only participating in yet another set of ongoing 12 step programs would and could be the only cure. WRONG!! I could have wasted years trying to discover how to stop and compulsive gambling. Years I didn’t want to go through, again. Well, there is a ‘miracle drug’, Lamactil. It saved me years of 12 Step therapy and cut to the cure. Who wouldn’t want to be cured w a ‘Magic pill’ that obviates the need for years of individual and or group therapy. Sometimes you don’t have to find out why you were chosen to be addicted, as long as you’re relieved from the addiction? It’s been a week since my dosege was doubled and I’m experiencing more unexpected side effects. Calmness, serenity and the ability to connect with my b/f and BOTH OF MY DOGS. This includes the dog who didn’t like me. I now feel like I want this dog to love me, so I began showing him affection. Guess what? This changed our relationship. Lastly, the increased dosage has made me like myself where before seeing Dr. Zedek, I hated myself. Thank you for knowing, without a six page dissertation, exactly what I needed. I will forever be thankful for the freedom from my ever ever present rage and my compulsive gambling. Instead I am overcome by love and not only a desire to help those less fortunate, But I’m doing to work to help them I used to say that I donated money to nonprofits because doing so made me hate myself a little less. I am now focused on the immediate needs of people I’ve met here who have to decide which day they’ll go without food because their social security check only lasts for two weeks, as a result of the need to eat, keep a roof over their heads, etc. I was taught that an anonymous gift without praise is a truly a gift from the heart. While I agree w that sentiment, Dr. Zedek has reprioritized my efforts to help others, And now I’m not blindly throwing money to nonprofits. I’m keeping those I love fed and sheltered. There no greater satisfaction. Dr. Zedek’s analysis has made me realize that I have the power to change the lives of people I care about, rather than a bunch of strangers whom I will never know and whom will never know me. Ive had a family member going here for several years. The dr himself seems decent enough however- the office stinks like subway sandwiches and is usually filthy- to the point that I wait in the car because there's no telling when their waiting room was disinfected last(and a lot of the folks I see in there don't look to have the best hygiene habits to begin with) on top of that no matter what time of day- what day of the week or how early we arrive there is always a ridiculously long wait- I'm talking hours(plural!!) on some days- and the front desk staff always appear to be bothered when you interact with them for anything- whether you're checking in for your appointment,finding out how insanely long you'll be waiting, or even paying the bill- they always act annoyed to be dealing with anyone. Once you actually get to see the dr it is a 5 minute appointment at best and you're pushed out the door. While he does seem thourough and decent at what he does, it chaps my hide to pay top dollar to wait around in a stinky filthy waiting room for hours on end every time we come- as if we have nothing better to do. If you need a good dr and have plenty of time to kill then I suppose you'd do alright coming here

*DR. ZEDEK REQUIRES ALL HIS PATIENTS TO GIVE HIM A REVIEW - HENCE THE EXCESSIVE 5 STAR RATINGS* I wouldn't recommend Dr. Zedek to anyone. I went to him for a few months and had enough. Here is a summary of my experience: I went in since this doctor was under my United Health Care insurance, so I thought I would give him a shot. Firstly, his staff in the lobby consists of really immature young ladies who don't seem to care about who you are, why you're there, and what you need. All you do is sign in, they ask you for your money, and then they call you back. The first day I saw him, we talked for maybe 5 minutes tops, and he immediately diagnosed me, wrote me a prescription, and walked me out. Moreover, the amount of wait times differentiates on the day. Some days it's a breeze to get in, maybe a 10 min wait, and then some days its a 2 HOUR WAIT. They don't tell you that it's going to be that long, not even if you're on time for your appointment or anything. However, if you're waiting for your doctor for any amount of time, you would expect to actually have the ability to speak to your doctor and not be rushed out. With doctor Zedek, unfortunately, he'll just walk you into his office, ask "how are you?", then nods his head, writes you your prescription, and has you leave. Also, no doctor should require you to come back every month just to get a re-fill on your prescription. He doesn't change it or anything, he just wants you to pay for that co-pay so he can keep racking in $$$. A true honest doctor will first follow up with you every other week, then every other month, and so forth. Once you have the right set of medication, that's it. You should not be required to go back every month to get the same thing over and over. Regarding the fact of the google reviews, it is true that he basically requires you to write a review for him. What he will do is corner you and say 'do you feel better?', and of course by then you'll say yes. Then he'll ask if you can write a review for him, and he'll insist on it and have his assistant sit next to you, walk you through on your phone, and watch you write it and wait for you to do it. So, all of these reviews are biased considering you have someone watching over you, making sure you leave a good review. Do yourself a favor and go to someone else. I can't express this enough that Dr. Zedek is just taking advantage of people who need help.

Never in my life have I been treated so horribly by someone claiming to be a physician. After keeping me waiting half an hour past my appointment, without so much as an apology, he has the audacity to tell me I look upset. Even knowing I was there to get a med refill because I hadn’t had my meds in a week, he cancels our appointment because I look upset, and that he can tell by the look on my face that I had my heart set on my previous dose which he would not prescribe. No, I was going through withdrawal, plan and simple. We immediately liked him and felt that he was attentive and cared. He discussed at length my daughters symptoms and what medications he believed would help her. I was concerned that her medication was being changed, but he assured me that since she was still so symptomatic, she was on the wrong medication. We trusted him, and after two weeks, she was a different person. She was more social, smiling more, and reported feeling so much better. Okay, so I never write reviews. But I felt obligated to do so in this case. IF YOU REALLY NEED HELP like I did, please read this. When I first saw Dr. Zedek he diagnosed me with Bipolar within 10 minutes of talking to me. Honestly, I was in such a bad place that I didn't question his diagnosis. As the months went by I continued to excuse his blatant apathy and rudeness. I drove over an hour for every appointment and he spent, at most, 5 minutes with me. Seriously. He basically prescribes meds like candy, knowing that people will come back for more (and maybe that's why so many people go to him). He isn't concerned about really trying to help you. His answer to everything is more medication. People go back to his office for a few minutes and come out with their little prescription slips like clockwork. I knew something was off, but I just kept going. When you are hurting and just trying to survive each day, it's easy to ignore what's happening around you. What I didn't realize at the time was that Dr. Zedek was slowly making things worse for me. He kept prescribing Xanax. Every month I got 30 pills. For 6 or 7 months. He even mentioned at one point that "technically" he wasn't supposed to prescribe so many for so long, but he did it anyway, and because the pills made everything better and easier, and because he kept prescribing them, I thought it was okay to take the pills on a daily basis. I became dependent on them. Now I'm trying to come off this med and it's hell. The first thing my new psychiatrist said was I needed to get off Xanax. It's not a long term solution. Most of the time, people are only given enough for 1 or 2 weeks. Some people might say it's my fault for taking the pills. Afterall, he didn't force my hand. But it's like pain meds - you take them to stop the pain. So why wouldn't you take them if they make you feel better and are readily available? When you're in the middle of a full-on panic attack, more than likely you're going to want to reach for those pills. At least I did. Anyway, if none of what I said is enough to keep you away from this doctor, please listen to this: On one of my last visits Dr. Zedek asked me to write a review...like right there in his office. Of course, I didn't have to, but I felt almost pressured to do it. It was an awkward moment and very inappropriate, and everyone in that room knew it (Dr. Zedek, his nurse, and myself). He had his nurse take me to another room and I overheard him tell her to "write it up as vitals". Once I was in the room the nurse instructed me on how to leave a review and at which site to do so (I wish I remembered the site, it wasn't Yelp, but like I said I don't ever write reviews). Before she left the room she said I could write anything I wanted, but we all knew why I was in that room AND now I know why Dr. Zedek has so many great reviews. Look, I could have put my foot down at any point and said this was wrong. And I regret writing a positive review for him, and I'll keep looking until I find that review so that I can correct my mistake, but I was vulnerable at the time. And it's easy to be manipulated when you're in a fragile state-of-mind. On my last visit, when I finally realized this guy could care less about me, he reprimanded me for rescheduling an appointment, which I did weeks in advance. It was the only time in all the months I'd been seeing him that I had to come in a little over the 30 day time frame he likes to see you in (and I had extra pills to last me so I didn't think it was a problem). He flat out told me if I did it again he would stop seeing me... just like that. I felt so insignificant in that moment... I went to Zedek because he had all these great reviews. I was wrong. Now I know I can't always trust reviews, and it was a hard lesson to learn. There are other great doctors out there. They might not have 200 reviews, most of which questionably positive, but they are out there and they actually care and want to help you reach a healthy place in your life without being dopped up all the time. P.S. I'm not Bipolar :)

Ok so I’ve been a sufferer of anxiety for my entire life. Done talk therapy back home in CA which helped, however I’d still have episodes of panic attacks, excessive worry and attention span issues which would mess with my school grades. Now that I’m in a nursing program I knew that I needed to get this fixed completely because I cannot afford to lose my dream due to my anxiousness and everything that comes with it (depression, obsessions, over thinking, irritability, etc) So I found dr zedek and thank God I did. First prescribed med worked well but there were some sexual side effects. I was embarrassed to tell the doc so continued to take it until it became a real problem in my love life. Doc said trading panic attacks for my love life is bs and changed my Rx immediately while simultaneously tapering me off the first med. now I’m on full does of the new rx and have had no side effects at all after a whole month. Pure bliss! I am at the top of my class and don’t second guess myself any longer! Dr zedek and his staff are awesome and want to help you the best they can! Also on the plus side, you’re in and out of this place very quickly without being rushed!

He didn’t ask me very many questions about my symptoms. Barely spent any time with me at all nor did he show any genuine concern for my symptoms. He had an assistant in the room to document everything, and while I was okay with it I was not asked if I’d be comfortable with it. I had a severe reaction to the medication he prescribed me and when I went back again he didn’t even seem interested in asking me what happened when I took the medication. He just wanted to throw me on another medication. Prices are also super high, just seems like someone who doesn’t genuinely care about their patients, but more about the money.
