5 stars. No joke. I walked in with the worst anxious feeling and immediately that feeling was comforted with a warm welcome by the receptionist. After my visit, I felt very well informed in every detail. Dr. Mia Skourtis, in my opinion, is one of the very rare surgeons that actually cares about your concerns, listens to them, answers them, performs tremendously, and then genuinely cares about your well being and satisfaction afterwards.

I've been a patient of Dr. Skourtis' since 2014, and if there's one that sticks out during this time, is that I TRUST HER completely! I receive my quarterly Botox religiously, Juvederm when I need a pick me up, and I've also had an Augmentation w/ a mini T. Tuck to get rid of the excess skin after an '06 C-section. I have been more than satisfied w/ every procedure, every injection, and know that when I walk away from there I will never look over filled, or over done. My results are always subtle enough that most people cant tell I've had anything done, but yet I get complimented that I look at least 7 years younger than my actual age. She is personable enough that I look forward to our visits and have no worries about asking questions or explaining exactly what I am looking for. She is very informative and explains things in great detail in a language I can understand. She is a breath of fresh air in a market where "more is more" typically prevails. You owe it to yourself to have a consultation w/ her before proceeding w/ another Surgeon.

She makes you feel so comfortable that you feel as though you are talking to an old friend. I leave her office with a smile on my face. She doesn't do transgender patients and refers them to Dr. Nguyen MD, FAC who's a great surgeon, but doe not currently accept patients covered under a insurance program. My issues are special and reconstructive surgery is warranted. For my health and well being, but again she doesn't want to nor will consider transgender females. Maybe she shouldn't be practicing medicine because the do no harm bit flew right out the window for her!!!

Dr. Skourtis was very professional, explaining every step of the procedure before actually continuing with it. She took time to answer any questions that I might have had and in no way did I feel rushed. Rather, I felt that I had her full and undivided attention. Before leaving, she again stressed that if I had questions or concerns, I should contact her for further discussion. I would highly recommend Dr. Skourtis for plastic and reconstructive procedures.

There is such a difference when you go see a reconstructive surgeon instead of an aesthetician or a nurse. This is the best value for your money - the price and professionalism are outstanding. Approximately twelve years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a mastectomy with reconstruction performed by another surgeon at Providence. The result was (in my personal opinion) botched and I lived the next 10+ years pretty much deformed. I wasn’t even comfortable looking at myself in the mirror. It was a sad time for me. I finally worked up the nerve to approach another physician to see if the damage from the original surgery could be corrected. That is when I met Dr. Skourtis and her office manager, Vivian. Over the following couple of years we worked together to correct my deformed breast and to match the other breast so I had a matching pair. It took more than one surgery to complete the process but I am ecstatic with the final results. Dr. Skourtis was very clear on the process and what to expect of each procedure. I couldn’t be happier with the results and I would not hesitate recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and competent partner for this journey.

UPDATE: from my last review from June this year - I decided to follow up with Dr. Skourtis' courteous suggestion and contacted her and we spoke and met up for a consultation regarding the keloids on my breasts. I was emotional and Dr. Skourtis was very kind and sympathetic to where I was coming from. Dr. Skourtis further gave me information about ways to treat it and I opted get steroid injections to help flatten the scars and after a month - the results were astounding. My scars flatten and I felt comfortable looking in the mirror and not seeing what caused my insecurities. Thank you Dr. Skourtis for being so kind and patient while I spoke with you over the phone and in person and very glad to have taken the time to talk about things. My trust with you is fully restored and renewed.

After a very poor experience with another plastic surgeon, I went to Dr. Skourtis for a consultation. She was amazing. I am recovering from multiple facial surgeries and had had poor post-operative instructions and explanations. She spent at least 30 minutes answering questions, evaluating problems and reassuring me when appropriate. She even printed out her post-operative instructions. I chose Dr. Skourtis for a consultation because of recommendations from another doctor and hospital nurses.

Dr Skourtis is a SKILLED SURGEON AND GODSEND!!! I am BLESSED to have been referred to Dr Skourtis to remove a large mass (turns out it was a lipoma) from the back of my leg. Being very active and a PT, I was a bit nervous. She reassured me, made me feel totally comfortable and was easy to talk to, taking all the time I needed to be sure my questions were answered. She lives the Providence Mission for sure and cared for me and eased my way!! AND somehow managed to get that thing OUT of a teeny tiny incision.
