Just got the senior pictures in the mail. Horrible. My son wears glasses and every picture with his glasses on has a big glare off of the lights. I might as well of taken them myself. And why would I want pictures without his glasses on? That's not him then.

Worst company ever. My daughter had pictures in October it is now the end of December and I have still not received her school pictures. They had no problem taking my money back in October. I call to find out what happened and they give me some BS story. Then the photographer ended up taking the picture with a gray background and not what I ordered so that made matters worse. Then I get told they will reprint with correct background but where are the wrong ones they printed? I believe they never printed in the first place. At this point I just want my money back because I could take her to get her pictures done at Wal-Mart and have them back before I ever see anything from this company. At least now I know to never buy a package from these people again. Way to ruin my Christmas I had wanted to do gifts with her pictures which rules that out now. This company needs to get its act together because I am petitioning with the school board to use a different company next year.

I love getting these pictures done, of course. That why I pay everytime you come to my child's school. What I dislike is that they do fall & spring photos. Is it necessary? I had an accident today with my 5 year old cutting through a whole page of photos and with a large company who is on east & west coast you couldn't even give me a discount if I purchased more! Or even a one-time accidents happen offer.?? This is really upsetting to me and I will reconsider my future purchases through you. And now would not recommend your services either. With a company of your size you should have something in place should there be an accident. The two woman I spoke with on the phone were not caring of my situation, not even a, "Sorry." Just, "If they got to your home ok, then it's not our problem." (And theres nother we can do to help. Or to keep me, as a customer satisfied?) Only, "You can buy more." The level of care should be more and I see you just do not have any. If I purchase your product TWICE A YEAR, there should be something in place if there was an accident. I'm truly upset that my satisfaction was not met. I will not be buying more then the minimum next time, and now I know you do not care about, "Customer Satisfaction " very sad business ethics. I'm sure your business does very well and you do not need to worry about ONE single "unhappy customer", I guess that's why you do so well. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you! ---UPDATE Wayne Barkdale responded to my email and I will change my review when we have further contact. As of now he will be sending me a new photo. I appreciate the quick response from him! -final update---Problem solved. Pictures were mailed to my house personally from Wayne barksdale. I recommend if anyone does have an issue contact customer service through their website!

Terrible. Sent photos of the wrong kid to my house. Then refused to answer the phone calls or emails I sent them to fix their mistake. I am going to tell my school never to use this company again. They are abhorrent. They will not receive A cent from my credit card company because they are involved now too.Good luck staying in business when you aren’t getting paid.

My daughter brought home a picture retake form on Friday and the date was yesterday, 11/21/2016 to take pictures however after contacting school no pictures we taken or even scheduled. When trying to contact this company for a refund, no one answers the phone and I called several times yesterday. I am trying to resolve issue directly with the company and not dispute the charge with my bank. I processed payment online so a simple refund for no pictures taken shouldn't be this hard.

It's been over a year since my son took his school pictures and I have not received his class picture(I paid for 2) ! I called on multiple occasions and got no where! Now they are saying I can't get a refund because it's a new year and they don't have any way of telling how I paid! They are rude and extremely unprofessional and don't deserve even a one star rating. Yes, they offered to mail me my pictures but it's been over a month and I still haven't received them very disappointed.

The pictures are poor quality. The spring pictures were terrible and I guess I was foolish for thinking that the graduation pictures would be better they were even worse. This company is a total waste of money three sets of pictures and none worth giving out. I will never buy from this company again. Poor excuse for a photography company. The print quality war terrible at best. I am so irritated that I spent that much on such terrible pictures.

Not impressed by photos. Wasn't impressed with fall pics. Gave company another try for spring pics and still not impressed. I'm mostly not impressed with the notebook they had my daughter hold. It distracts from the rest of the pic.

I called today because my youngest of four children recieved her school pictures. We always order the same package for all four of our kids. First two come in correct and now my youngest gets a totally different package. No wallets, black and white pictures etc. When I call to discuss this, I was told each school has different packages, this has never been the case in years past. Here is my problem, my kids have gone through the same school district since day one and the oldest graduates this year from the school district where Barksdale is located. The lady I spoke with basically did not want to hear what I had to say. She told me she was going to send me a copy of my order form. She sent me a blank order form and did not reply when I emailed her back stating this is not my order form. I want the same order we always get for our kids! Don't know why after so many years of ordering the same thing year after year from the same company it has to be like this. Maybe I will think twice before I order my daughters graduation photos from barksdale in the coming weeks. This is aggravating to say the least.

Called to ask when my sons school pictures would be delivered as they were taken 4-5 weeks ago. I always add his school picture into my Christmas cards to family who live out of state. The woman I spoke with was incredibly rude and condescending. She blamed my sons school for scheduling the pictures so late in the year as the issue and not that it takes them 4-5 weeks to even begin printing the photos. She started talking about photo protection as the reason why they cannot put them online. I didn't even ask anything about them being online. I just want the pictures which I have already paid for weeks ago, $46.00 and I have seen nothing. As a customer and parent I was shocked by the attitude and dismissive behavior.

They charge a small fortune and the photos are terrible. My son's graduation pictures and they couldn't make sure his hair wasn't sticking up? Zero pride in their pictures. Just click and take your money. I had the photos retaken and the retakes are just as bad! I will be petitioning the school to use a different photographer. A horrible photo for his yearbook - he's upset and I'm super angry!

I got my son's pictures taken on October 23rd... and they still aren't ready.. the lady said they'll be in next week which my kid doesn't have school next week. I will never ever ever again waste money on this company.

I have been trying to retrieve my son's pictures since June 3, 2016 when I put in the initial order. After waiting 2 weeks I called to see where the pictures were and I was told they were sent out June 18th. I called back 1 week later because I still had not received the pictures. I was told they were on there way just give it time. By this time I had relocated and did a change of address. On July 14, 2016 I called and emailed the company AGAIN about the pictures. I was told the pictures would not be forwarded because they come in a package that looks like a magazine and magazines do not get forwarded and nine times out of ten they were on their way back to the company. I gave Debra my new address and I was told the pictures would be reprinted and sent out. 1 month later nothing, I called the company again on today August 18, 2016 and was told the pictures where sent out on August 1, 2016 and that I need to contact the Post Office because the problem is them and I did that. The post office does not have my package and seeing that a month has passed since I changed my address there is no reason why the pictures should not have came to my apartment. The customer service rep for the post office said there is nothing in the post office for me and the problem is on Barksdales end. I am very frustrated by this, I have paid money for my child's pictures and still have not received them it has been over 2 months since the original order. WHY?????????? Where is are my pictures?

I received bent photos from my school. I'm assuming they somehow got bent when they were being handled at the school. I picked the photos out of the booklet I wanted to keep, and sent the others back to the school (which is what were supposed to do). I just contacted the company about getting the booklet discount if I ordered the same pictures online that were bent. She said I would need to purchase the bent ones first, then send them in for a refund because its "speculation". I'm sorry but that's horrible customer service. I don't have time for all that. I never purchased photos from them last year because of the terrible quality. I told them I already gave the other pictures back to the school a while ago. So there was pretty much no solution other than for me to pay for over priced reprints. I ended up just making a big purchase because I want to hand out pictures for the holidays and don't have time to take my daughter to a studio to get her pictures done. The pictures are poor quality like others have stated, and whomever they hire must have zero experience. They really need to be trained in positioning the children properly, as well as helping to fix their hair/get it out of their face etc. ( I am not the only parent who has complained) I'm not sure why my daughters preschool uses this company, but as parents we really don't have a say. My friends kids whom go to different schools have WAY better photos. I suggest to this company to invest in better, more updated equipment. If they do have it, than you need to take RAW images at the highest resolution. The images look VERY compressed. You also need to hire someone else to do the editing. Give customers the option to at least do their own cropping for reprints. Last year I didn't order prints because my images were cropped poorly. But if I could have had a say in how they were cropped, I would have bought some. Just some suggestions. Please consider doing some retraining for your staff and getting better equipment though, then you wont have so many negative reviews. I'm hoping and praying I don't have shipment issues for the prints I just ordered like previous customers have implied that they had. Because I really need these for Christmas time.

The lighting is harsh and not soft. The background distracts from the photo. The skin tones are blotchy. You can see pixels in the photos without even looking closely. You have he rip the photos out of the book. You can see horzontal lines from the printer patterns. It's a total rip off.

I left two messages for them to call me. Because we can not log to the link they provide to sign up for senior pictures for my daughter. They sent out postcards so you can sign up and save 30% and receive free shipping. I guess they could care less because there do not call back properly their way to get full price and charge you for shipping.

I am unimpressed with the quality of the photos. We recently switched school systems and it took over a month to receive the photos and the quality is atrocious. I will not be ordering school pictures going forward as long as they are from this company and will be going to my personal photographer.

This company did my daughters school pictures this year at Fort Belvoir VA. Wow. Seriously upsetting. Their cheapest package for like 5 pictures NOT including an 8x10 was $35 with $6.50 fir tax and shipping. Are you kidding me right now. With only one background. Upgrade charge of $5 fir a different one. Worst company.

Edited to reduce to 2 stars. I am completely flabbergasted that Barksdale cannot get my child's last name correctly now matter how many times I tell them. I am losing hope of ever getting 4th and 5th grade pictures. I normally love Barksdale they hadn't let me down until now. I ordered my children's school photos a little late because I didn't have the money at the time they were taken. Everyone else in the school received their pictures. I was told their pictures would be a little later because they were ordered later. I received a phone call tonight that I had to listen to severwl times because it was outrageous and would have been funny if not for the craziness of it all. So they say that they can't find my one daughter's pictures so I would be refunded. Well, you can't find her because you don't have her last name correct. Called her a boy and stated that HE might not of been photographed. Then they proceed to tell me that they found a child with her last name named Arianna (my girls have different last names but same father). That's not my daughter's name, could possibly sound like Rihanna but Ariana? No. So now it's 3 weeks before Christmas and I don't have pictures to distribute to family. Frustrating. I would like to give them 5 stars because I normally don't have any issues with them but this is crazy. I hope that it will be remedied before Christmas.

This company is a joke. While the photographers are polite and nice to the subject, their equipment and expertise has a lot to be desired. My daughter was supposed to have senior portraits retaken today. No appointment card was sent to her. She was taken anyway. While the session was completed, she was so upset and angry afterwards, I was speechless. She said that the pictures taken made her feel ugly and she wondered if that is what she really looked like. The lighting, equipment used, and the training the photographer exhibited were extremely below par. Thanks for ruining her most important remembrance of her senior year!

It would be great if Barksdale would train their photographers...Every year my child's photos come out horrible! he's back is all croocked and he's head all the way to the front in a weird way! he's shirt was all sideways and even part of he's shoulder showing, the Face comes out Orange too. The least you can do is make sure the child looks decent before taking the pictures its like you guys can care less as long as you get your money. I will no longer order from Barksdale its just way too pricey for such horrible pictures. I now go to Picture people and pay $18 for 24 photos and the pictures are way better!!

Very Unprofessional! I had placed an order for my son to get his sports picture taking on February 4,2019. I received a phone call from Kelley stating that my son did not get his individual picture taking and that she was going to refund the money. Obviously I was upset because now I am unable to have a memorable picture of my son in his uniform specially since he came in 3rd place in his tournament. When I asked how come his picture was not taking? Kelley replied that it was my sons fault because he did not walk over to the other photographer to get his picture taking. I then stated that I purchased pictures and that it should not be my 12yr old son responsibility to make sure his picture is taking. That they should have a list of the names of the students that had already purchased pictures and made sure that each customer had received what they paid for. Kelley then proceeded to give me a attitude on the phone still blaming it on my 12 yr old son. Instead of being understanding how now I have no pictures or memories of my sons accomplishment she hung up the phone on me. I then called back to speak to the manager Debra to explain how unprofessional Kelley was and to make her aware of the type of employee she hired. Debra instead of being apologetic she said that her employees were allowed to hang up the phone on customers if they were screaming at them. I told her I was not screaming nor cursing that I was talking to her in the same manner. Unfortunately Debra who was the manager didn’t seem to care that her employee was very unprofessional. Or even recognized the mistake that her company had made. She was also not sympathetic that I now have no sports picture of my son. They refused to make it right and go back to the school to fix their mistake. I am not a business owner but I would think that they should’ve had a list of students that already paid for a package to make sure the right children were getting their pictures taking. If not then they should’ve took a picture of all students just like they would normally do with school pictures to make sure each child has a chance to have a picture so that way he or she can hold on to their memories. Looking back on childhood pictures means everything to my family and this business took that away from me. Between the ignorance of Kelley’s attitude and how unprofessional her behavior was by hanging up the phone I would never recommend this company to anyone!!!!
