This place is great if you need medical appliances / post-surgery-care / accessibility devices / etc - really great, the best in the area by far... But I am sad to report that they are utterly terrible if you need a prescription filled and will not just accept whatever generic they want to pawn off on you rather than dispense as written per the doctor with a DAW note (necessary, due to past experience with complications from different generics). They over-promise and then under-deliver, saying that they have three different wholesalers and can get anything you need when you come in and inquire if they'll be able to fill a prescription, and then they say that their contracts with the insurance companies aren't good enough to justify providing the medication my doctor has prescribed to me. (They say a drug costs $60 and the insurance will only give them $15.) The pharmacist who is in charge of billing seems to be the main one who matters in terms of actually making sure you get the medication you have been prescribed at seems to never be in the pharmacy, which makes it very difficult to even address problems. I am sad that this is how it has happened. I want to support my small, local pharmacy. I miss Howell Smith. I don't want to go to CVS, but it looks like that's what I'll have to do.

Amazing place of amazing products, amazing skills and amazing service. I rented a knee scooter from them after I broke my ankle. That device made life somewhat liveable and I was so grateful to get the last one they had to rent. Then, when my ill cat would not take his medication, they compounded all his meds into a liquid that I could squirt down his throat. He does not like that, but he gets his meds. They even found a flavored liquid that a cat could like. Not bubble gum or banana. April has been really supportive. Remember how neighborhood pharmacies used to be? Simpsons still IS.

I tried to buy new forearm crutches but they said they didn’t take my insurance. My insurance company called them directly and straightened that fallacy. When I went back, the crutches I need were not on the floor and no one seemed to know where they were but they said they only sell some junk made for children or small people - I am neither. Since then I’ve waited one month for new crutch tips but no one knows why they aren’t coming in. I went there out of convenience but will travel a few extra miles to get the service I need.

Have to give it one star only because that's the least I can give. My son fractured his tibia and we needed a wheelchair with leg rest. You would think my wife had asked for a cure for cancer. They could not tell how much our Bluecross would cover. Six phone conversations and 24 hours later, we are told they do not have the wheelchair. Mind you it is 11:30 on Saturday, our pediatrician's office is closing and 24 hours after our inquiry, inspector Clouseau at Simpsons figures out there is no chair to be had. Go to Alpha Surgical Inc. They were great.

Usually great service. I've been a customer for a long time, but I have some concerns lately. I waited one day at the register and one person asked if I was all set. I said yes and put my items on the counter and she walked away. I waited as they took care of other customers and walked by me. I was eventually taken care of, but have no idea why they didn't take care of me when they asked if I was ready. Also, DON'T GO BY THE HOURS POSTED for holidays. THEY NO LONGER POST HOLIDAY HOURS. They assume every one knows them which left me without medication for over 24 hours.

Love this pharmacy. Family owned, incredibly nice and helpful. Found them by chance after my husband needed a prescription that no other pharmacy carried. The next week I transfered all of our prescriptions. Also, during times after surgeries, when I couldn't drive, they would deliver our prescriptions to us.

I can not begin to express my gratitude to Simpson's Pharmacy for their compassionate, professional service and their vast experience and knowledge. They specialized compounding pharmacy which I use for compounded prescription medication for my cat. But more than that they make it affordable. They don't take advantage of your need for a specialized pharmacy for your pet. I paid three times as much at another place until Simpson's was recommended to me by the veterinarian's office. Simpson's staff have assisted me with many other items and information. They have an array of medical equipment and supplies. They really know their stuff. I believe this is third generation owned and operated. You won't find this kind of service or a compounding pharmacy or these types of medical supplies at your local chain store pharmacy. My highest recommendation for Simpson's Pharmacy.
