I am, perhaps, "spoiled" by my 37 year patronage of Palma Chemist which closed recently. Their service went above and beyond the call of duty. They knew old customers by name, even VOICE over the phone. The man who cleaned and stocked was available for delivery almost every day. If he was out, which was close to never, a staff person would make the delivery.
Those at Greentree are certainly nice. My specific gripe is that they have an "outside" delivery man whose availability is unreliable. On top of that, he uses his car, and asks that I COME DOWN not just to my lobby, but out to the curb, because he can't park. Worse, I very recently asked for a delivery, was told he was not in (it was Saturday) and so asked for Monday morning to be told he was ON VACATION. That is unacceptable. If you say you deliver, on your website, which is not a big deal for a pharmacy to say, you deliver all the time, with minor exceptions. Mine are routine meds. What if someone is very ill and needs meds for an acute situation and cannot get out? I was not please being asked "can you find a way to get here yourself?" In addition, in my email requesting refills, I asked (this being the second occasion) that my email be acknowledged, and it was not. I would never have thought to ask if delivery would be available! ONE ASSUMES IT IS at least weekdays.
I'm disenchanted. I live too far for this. I chose Greentree when Palma closed because they had a sign out front saying "We welcome Palma customers" and I thought, naively perhaps, that this portended special and professional treatment. I think I will have to choose another pharmacy.
I stress that they have been professional and careful with filling meds. But service is just as important.
