(12/14/2016) Upped from 4 to 5 stars. I picked up a prescription tonight, the owner came out from back and said he read the review and he addressed the concern I had posted about.
It's great to know that if the owners take these concerns to heart, and that they care enough to take quick steps to resolve the concerns, then you can rest easy that they will take care of you and your needs with just as much, in fact, probably even more, care and attention.
If you live in the area, then you should definitely drop in and give them a try. And if you aren't in the area, it will be worth a trip. You don't see many places like this left, where you get greeted and are know by your NAME, not by your birthday, and you get treated like a person that they appreciate being there, not like big corp who acts like they are doing you a favor.
Just go to Visels, the trip will be worth it and you will be happy...

It's a nice Mom & Pop place, the staff is friendly but pharmacy customers should receive priority over lottery and bill payment customers. There were 2 other pharmacy patrons including a elderly lady and myself who waited over 10 minutes while the 2 clerks took lottery and bill pay patrons one after another, some of which came in minutes after the 3rd pharmacy customer. I had alerted the clerks that we were waiting ahead of the lottery and bill pay patrons and I was told " Just a minute" twice, even when I said that the elderly lady was waiting, too. Finally a older gentleman (he must have been the owner or one of the owners) came from behind the pharmacy section to help us. Seeing she was in some discomfort and out of respect for her I let the elderly lady ahead of me, but when the employees noticed the owner was running register only then did one of them rush over to help.
It may not be that big of an issue and it doesn't happen every time or at least not that long of a waitbut it says Visels PHARMACY on the sign, not Visels Lottery or Bill Pay. It was very plain to see the clerks were very friendly with many of the lottery and bill pay customers and maybe they took their friends first, but those services should be made secondary to the pharmacy, especially when there's elderly patrons who should be taken care of as soon as possible.
Other than that it's a good alternative to the major chain stores, on a normal basis you can usually be in and out in 10-15 minutes bringing a new prescription. It's nice not hearing " if you wait it's 45 minutes to a hour (or more ala Walgreens).
