Better off with Orkin! Plunkett's gave me a date and time they would send a tech out for a terrible flea infestation, so I rearranged my entire schedule for them. Then, the day before my scheduled appointment, the tech calls to inform me he cannot come on that day because he didn't even have the pesticides to do the job. I also asked several questions about the safety of this pesticide because I have small children, one of which puts things in her mouth, and neither the technician, nor the people I talked with at the office, were able to give me any straight answers about it's safety. Not only that, I was originally quoted $244-$270, however, they never mentioned that with my basement included, the cost would actually be closer to $500, I had to specifically ask about that. They also tell you that they have a 60 day guarantee where they will come out and treat again and again within that 60 days, for free, if the pests are not gone. I asked if I would be charged again if the fleas were still not gone in that 60 days, and the first answer I received was, "They will be gone in 60 days." I asked again because I was not satisfied with the first person's answer, and I was told, "It won't come to that." So again, I was never given a straight answer. I cancelled my appointment and called Orkin. They were able to give me all of the answers I needed, and then some, they were able to send someone out the exact same day, and they charge only HALF the price to do my entire house, basement included. And to add a cherry on top, when I called the main office to complain about this, I was given several excuses. There is no excuse for this... I wouldn't waste your time with Plunkett's. They are unprofessional and wishy-washy.

This place is an absolute scam job. They say a hassle free quote, but will charge you an absurd amount to send out an individual that has to call someone else because he does not specialize in termites. The guy was late, worked for 10 minutes and then talked about sports. I was charged 109 dollars and it was sent to collections. I asked to talk to a manager about this absurd bill, but the customer service is a joke. Avoid this scam job.

They showed up to give us an estimate as scheduled. What they didnt tell us is the estimate cost $105. Hard to get competitive estimates when they lock you in like that. Yes it can be applied to their services but what if a competitor has a better service or price. A company should feel confident that their service is either superior or that their pricing is competitive enough to not charge for the estimate.

We have a bee problem that wasn’t fixed. The guy came and basically just walked around our house and said he couldn’t find the nest, killed a few bees with our fly swatter (didn’t even bring his own...ha!) and then charged us near 100 dollars for an ‘inspection’ saying ‘oh they’ll just die off when it gets cold enough.’ It kinda mattered to take care of the issue quickly since I’m allergic to bees and there’s a baby in the house we don’t want getting stung. AND at the end after he took his sweet time to write up his report and ran my card and everything, the guy kept trying to push other pest control services on us even when I told him we needed to wrap it up because I had a crying baby I needed to tend to. So disgusted- and we are still getting bees even though it’s already snowed. Never using this service again.
