I've been going to Coney Island since I was a child. It is embedded in my life as my Great Escape in Brooklyn. I recently went there with my daughter and still manage to have fun there. And as usual, couldn't pass up a ride on the Wonder Wheel. Swinging car of course.

A very exityng experience. You can go there by metro is a bit far from Manhattan but it is a fantastic place to spend a sunny day you can do everything there from the sea to the park and there are also many place to eat along that way.

It's fun for the kids but the prices are expensive, the girls at the service desk are not much help. Be careful before you buy the tickets because there are no refunds for some reason. Also be mindful of your surroundings.

Took my 4.5 yr old & she loved it. The $40 all day pass is a great deal if your child can get on most of the rides. If the child is under 42" then I suggest you head over to Deno's park. My daughter is exactly 42" & she was given the ok by all the staff for all the 42" rides she wanted to go on, except for this 1 ride which would have been the least 'dangerous' out of all those she did. The guy just seemed uninterested & waiting to get off the clock. I suppose he was just doing his job

This was really fun. We bought the day pass, although in front of the cyclone it wasn't clear that that was an option. The rides were diverse, recommend the slingshot. There were not too many lines and the staff was corteous. One of the rides broke and they fixed it really quick.

We have been there with New York pass. Some extreme attractions are not included but the 80% included was far enough as we didnt get almost any wait time (3 minutes maximum). Very sweet place for a visiting break.

Our family goes there all the time. It’s great time and a piece of history. But the staff is consistently and persistently rude. 8/10 staff members are bitter and in bad temper. Can’t be simply be a collection of bad individuals, must be a culture of hostility and inept management. But other than the horrible staff .... it’s great!

We went memorial weekend and it wasn't too busy so we had a blast. Food isn't that expensive either. Love being able to walk to the boardwalk for a break before heading back in. Really fun (and easy) for the whole family.

Great fun. Save money by getting the day pass. Just remember the park has about 3 sections. So go Up onto the board walk to go to the next.

A great place to be on the 4th of July. The traffic was a little tense due to the holiday but well worth it once you get to the boardwalk. People seemed friendly lots of police presence and all of the rides were functioning. People were on the boardwalk, in the gaming areas, buying food and packing the beach with tents and towels everywhere.

Lots of nostalgia. Rode the Wonder Wheel and Cyclone. Each cost $10/person, so that wasn't cool. The place is very dog eared. Had an original Nathan's hot dog that was awesome. Very easy to get to as numerous subway lines intersect just across the street.

Amazing rides and I know my friends love it. I've been going there for a few years and everything is updated. Perfect for families, a lot to do and the lines are always long. If you're someone who doesn't mind drinking then they have enough libations for you, some refillable ones also.

It was great! The cyclone was just right. I recommend you go towards the middle-front as that is the best place to get 0g airtime. In the back you get ejected out of your seat most of the time. But the other rides were also great and I had a fun time.

It's a nice place for toddlers. But the sun was making the seats on the rides hot. That's not good for kids. However my kids enjoyed themselves. And i enjoyed watching them enjoy themselves.

Luna Park is pretty dodgy really. The rides are old and the food is normal fairground stuff. The boardwalk and the pier are pretty cool as is the cyclone, especially if you read about its history. It is also pretty cool to walk around the edge of the park where you can see some old run down rides which are no longer in use. The old ghost house is there for example.

This place is great to go and have some fun on a dime. The only thing is all the ride you have to pay for are high. If you have small kids with you they will like it here. For the young kids in heart they have some killer ride for your teen. For the person that like to get some sun & drinks you have a lot to choose from too.

Really fun! I visited this place with my family and it was great but some rides were ridiculously pricey. One 3 minute ride was $7. If you go there I recommend going to the beach that’s right next to it! It’s really good but if Luna park lower their prices it would be way better.

Went there with my daughter, niece, and nephews a couple days ago. There were not many rides to choose From. The rides are also overpriced. I bought 4 admission tickets from them about 2 years ago. I used 2 tickets at that time and still have 2 tickets left. I did not know the tickets would expire as there is no indication of expiration date on them, the seals of both of the wristbands are still intact. I went to check to see if I can still use them. The staff at the ticket booth told me that the admission tickets are not valid. She said they have a different color wristband for every season and that the ticket will expire by the end of that season. “The wristbands are good in the system but will not scan.” Another male staff was telling me the ticket is only good for the day. The staffs do not seem to know what they are talking about. The male staff took my tickets and would not return them to me without further explanation. He simply said “I cannot give them back to you.” I didn’t want to go further on that so I left. We spent some time playing in the Arcade since the kids were not interested in the rides. The arcade is old with machines that would take your credit but don’t work. I had to go outside the Arcade and go to Guest service and wait on the long line trying to get my credit back. (1 credit = $1). That was a hassle too because many of their machines don’t work. The staffs there also seem like they don’t like their job. Overall experience is poor. Would not return to the park. For the price of $79 per full day admission, you would expect more than this. Not worth it.

Pretty damn good improvement of the park. It's got a good flow and the wristband thing is fantastic. My partner, my friends and i had a great time. The only thing that's misleading is the fact you still have to pay separately for the Cyclone. That ride is the first thing shown on Luna's website.

Great for kids and adult young at heart. Truly, nothing special about this place as far a amusement parks go, but it’s “famous” and has some good rides. Definitely check it out! Right next to the beach.

Love Luna Park, the boardwalk and the various stores. Been coming here for over 25 years. Our kids grew up visiting several times a year. And now we take our niece and someday hopefully grandkids! Just celebrated husbands birthday during this visit with our 30 year old son who came in from Pa just to ride the roller coaster!

I was at Luna park for an event for handicapped children sponsored by the community mayor's of NY...they are a non profit organization that sponsors many events throughout the year for special needs children around the 5 boroughs. The community mayors does great things and is funded by donations..check out their website . Today at Luna park was a successful outing,and the kids really enjoyed the day. The rides were wonderful, the grounds are clean.as were the bathrooms ...and the staff,crew and management are all top notch and made this day a complete success. We have had this event at Luna park for a few years ...the ownership and their team are the best.

The lines and never insanely long but it's pretty expensive. Luna Park is convenient for those who don't drive. One or two rides may be worth the cost but if you're planning an amusement park day, it may be worthwhile to travel outside of NYC.

Awesome. My Luna park experience was pretty great. Had loads of fun on the rides and took loads of photos. You can't take your phones on the rides though. Their rides are well maintained and I give them a plus for that. Visit Luna park at coney island when you can.

Park is any other park you would find, I rode the Coney Island Cyclone which is a New York staple/must it is a truely thrilling ride. Everything seems old but just keep seated, strapped in tight, and holding on tight you will enjoy an amazing scenery at the top and a thrilling ride back down to sweet old land. The staff working the ride was a bit unprofessional and really didn't care, other than that they were great and got me and my buds safely to land again.

If you visit NYC during the summer, you have to come to Luna Park. This is a great place to have fun with family and friends. The fares are not too expensive and there are rides for every age. If you are not too scare of heights, I recommend you tjee Sling Shot, an awesome ride.

2 main pieces of advice. 1) We were told that queues shorten after 4pm and certainly when we were there between 4 & 7 pm we had short waits only for go karting. 2) The rides require you to pre charge a tokens card (or buy an all day pass) and you will find that different operators have their own 'currency' of tokens, preventing a card from one set of rides working on another group. Fortunately we started with the rides we most wanted and so the exclusions were no great heartache.

Not my first time here... Not my last but just like any Theme Park they are still highly overpriced. I just take advantage of the scenery for Photoshoots. Bring your own Water to drink. Cotton Candy is 4$ now. Magical place for children I suppose.

Good park, but they really need to be more clear on there park area it's self. If you go you may need to get a Card for the ride that your kids want to go n but they need an adult to go with them. For an example 42( I have gotten 2of them) dollars for a kid unlimited pass. Then I had to buy an additional 30.00 on a card. So be a little bit prepared to spend when going there.

Went on Monday with my family of 5 and a friend of my nephews. I purchased 3 over 48’ all day passes and one under 48’. The person at the ticket booth obviously didn’t know what she was doing as the person next to her had to help. Headed for the rides my niece band isn’t working. I walk back upset of course it’s hot I’m pregnant and got a kid crying because she can’t get on rides. Both people at the booth tell me that they can’t do anything about it, I go to another booth to be told the same. Called for a supervisor who didn’t know ANYTHING called for a manger and to my surprise he was also NO HELP. I then walk what seemed like 10 blocks to guest service. The idiot at the ticket booth scanned the under 48 as over 48 and the over 48 as under 48!!! Now my 4 year old was only able to get on about 4 rides alone. Now Coney Island does have a kiddie section guess what???? They don’t accept the wrist band there?? Now have I been told I could’ve just purchased tickets for me 4 year old so that he could enjoy as much rides as the older kids.

Great day out. Rides for all tastes and levels of bravery. Wasnt too busy on Sunday at end of June. We got free entry with NY Sightseeing pass. Would be expensive otherwise. Old wooden coaster (Cyclone), big wheel and Thunder Bolt coaster not included in entry price which is disappointing. Not much shade if you are there on a hot day

The area is still pretty seedy with lots of trash but I'm glad that there was a greater police presence. If you get the "unlimited" pass, keep in mind that it doesn't apply to the "wonder wheel park" that's in the middle. Apparently it's not part of Luna Park. I also witnessed two workers give 2 girls a private ride while the rest of us waited. On another ride, a few teens would get off the ride and run back to the front of the line as if they had a fast pass access and the attendees let them. Overall, we had a pretty good time.

Fun place and beach right there. But be careful buying tickets for rides. There are different rides that take different payment forms. The Luna Card only works for certain rides. However, every ride has its own ticket stand and some only accept cash. So don’t be fooled by buying a luna card for 100 credits with 40 free credits for $100, because that will only work for some rides! You have to pay cash to go on the go karts and most other rides individually! Fun place though.

Getting real expensive playing the games. They rig these games so they can make money. $10 for 2-3 tries. Not good. But some of the rides are enjoyable. I would not waist money on the game part.

This amusement park is indeed a lot of fun, totally worth the buck if you’re into thrilling rides. Thunderbolt had me feeling a little funny, and so did the scream zone rides. For people who aren’t into rides or are scared of them(which is ok), I recommend to still give it a try and to start from less thrilling rides and then progress gradually. It was not busy the day we went(a Saturday in September), so we didn’t have to wait long. Have fun, I bet you will.

A great place to go on some very groovy rides. i recommend you getting the $79 all day pass, as the thunderbolt and cyclone are included. Bring your own water, as the vending machines or vendors charge you $3 a bottle. go to the nathans in the wonder wheel park as its not as crowded as the ones on the boardwalk or on stillwell Avenue. some games aren't included with the all day pass, so you will need cash for those.

This place is great. I would definitely recommend it to everyone out there who is a parent is has a very bored kid. Other than six flags this is the best amusement park I’ve ever been to. The food is great and so is the convenience. The workers are nice but it’s just a tad too overpriced and I’m a kid saying this.

Okay, it's not exactly a low cost day out, but it's great fun. How exciting is it, to ride the subway from home, catching your first glimpse of sea, sand and the big wheel and taking in the smell of seasoned hot dogs. When the weather is warm, there's not many places I'd rather be. Good, old fashioned family fun.

Honestly it was very fun. In addition, going at the back of the amusement park there is a free beach with little shops to get food and enjoy. There's a bathroom near the beach, and the waves of the ocean is very good. The beach of course will be crowded in the summer.

One of the "must-do" things in Nyc, especially with kids. Luna park in Coney Island is most famous for the cyclone but the park has much more to see and do if you're with the fam. Highly suggest you get the unlimited rides for the kids and separately spend $100 for games and arcade to to get an extra $40 in bonus credits. You can always save these for later if you don't use them on the first time around. In the fall they have fun things to do around Halloween theme but really it's for kids 6 and under in my opinion. I also suggest if here, you must go to Nathan's either on the boardwalk at the park's exit, or the original one a couple of blocks away which is a great picture moment.

Variety of rides, all day pass is $69 for 48” or taller. They should consider providing more shade and mist fans for a long wait lines such as sling shot ride which is the slowest line -30 minutes to move ten steps in full sun.

The rides are fun but the boardwalk needs a lot of work. There's so many nails and scews sticking up plus wholes in the boards. It's very disappointing for this world famous place. The boardwalk bathrooms were disgusting with trash and water all over. The fireworks were great!

Huge park well worth the cost we went on a week day and could ride without much of a wait. I recommend sun cream if you go on a hot day as there is not much in door space or shade around in the park and you will be exposed alot.

Lots of affordable rides that young children can go on with or without their parents. $1 for 1 credit and there are a good amount of 3 and 4 credit rides. Of course if you have a large family or want to stay all day they have other pricing options available. The only issue is that some of the ride attendants weren't very friendly or accommodating so they'd see people coming but insist in not reopening the ride even if it was half empty. When I attended it was around 6pm so perhaps they were just tired?

A bit expensive and over rated for my taste now. The beach is t super clean and I'd rather take that trip out to LI for it. I go because I grew up at Coney island but as I keep going there I realize all my childhood memories are gone. I would recommend it because it has rides, games, the beach, snacks & drinks. Take the kids or go on a date. It's not someplace you go more than once if you don't live close by.

Took my 7 year old there during a trip to Brooklyn. This place was awesome! He had a blast, I got nausea from all the rides my son made me go on with him. Grew up a couple of miles away from here. Brought back memories. OH, went on the Cyclone and it is EXACTLY how I remember it, even the smells... LOVE THIS PLACE!

Thus place is awesome, it has many fun rides for those who like a thrill as well as calmer rides, I would recommend for ages 3-65! Such great vibes and helpful staff, I suggest to come at 6 o'clock when there are 0 lines and stay till closing time. The park looks and feels very magical at night with all the lights on. Great family friendly atmosphere, definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!

Its a very carnival place. Its a family fun place. If the weather is good, then this place has a lot to offer. There is no entry fees or admissions, and plenty of parking is available. The only drawback is that the rides are too expensive. Other than that its a nice spot to have a fun time with families and friends.

"Tell others why I love this place?" Wow, for starters it's where my parents met and hung out, I love boardwalk amusement parks and old famous wooden roller-coasters. I heard all about the Cyclone growing up in Santa Cruz (with the Giant Dipper-my first coaster). Nathans is a Coney Island classic, the rides, games and food concessions. The beach and aquarium. But mostly: IT'S BROOKLYN!!!❤❤❤

Fun park on the Boardwalk definitely easier and cheaper to buy a day pass. Right next to the beach and a bunch of places to eat outside the park. Also right across from the subway and buses so it's easy to navigate to.

I've had amazing experiences here, however some of the people working their can be really rude. For instance, some of the members at Famiglia were disrespectful when we asked if they had anymore funnel cake. The looked at us, stared, proceeded counting their money and said No! Really boldy and disrespectfully.

Been here as a kid lots of times. Most of the main attractions stayed the same, quite nostalgic but, atmosphere feels different from the 90s early 2000s. Cool to see lots of movies and TV shows have Luna Park in them, like Mr. Robot. Still, I feel it's a bit overrated for what you get but nothing quite similar within the immediate NYC area and the view is quite nice from the wheel. To sum it up, I'd only come for the nostalgia and the wheel view, other places will give you more fun but take longer to drive to.

Beach side place with amusement rides, food & beverages, and souvenir shops for all ages to make it a perfect one-day summer trip. I was there today for the Mermaid parade. Heavily crowded due to parade activities. This place was totally amazing and worth to visit. That was remarkable.

We had a BALL wish I'd went earlier in the summer just so i can go again and again. All rides were unlimited to rides except the bumper cars and the slingshot. You can only ride those once. Love it!

When you buy the a day bracelet at $69 , it says all rides all day long. Big fat lie. It's only for the park you bought the bracelet at. Not all rides. There are 3 different parks, so beware which park you want to ride the rides at before you buy the bracelet or the card .

Love Luna Park, the boardwalk and the various stores. Been coming here for over 25 years. Our kids grew up visiting several times a year. And now we take our niece and someday hopefully grandkids! Just celebrated husbands birthday during this visit with our 30 year old son who came in from Pa just to ride the roller coaster!

What a gem this place is! It was so much bigger and better than I expected. It had a great combination of traditional carnival type rides, attractions, and games and all of the great food to go along with it. MAKE SURE to eat a Nathan's hot dog on the boardwalk, but give yourself a few minutes before going on the Cyclone roller coaster afterwards! Also, MAKE SURE that you secure your personal items (phone, sunglasses, etc) before going on each ride! They will hold onto it for you at each ride for free.

What a wonderful place to visit and have fun. There are rides and games for all ages. And there is also the beach just right next to Luna Park. A lot to see and to do, with many photo ops. Great place for families, friends get together, or just a walk along the beach. Definitely highly recommend this to visitors who are planning to come out to NYC.

Cool if you want to spend 45 bucks a kid. Rather go to rye playland since it's way cheaper. The parks are in different areas next to other parks which made my kids anxious because we couldn't use the Luna park passes for the other park rides.

Luna park was excellent beach and rides how can you not enjoy yourself. Only problem I have is that it is just too hot in New York. Every year it gets worse. The rides are HOT THE SEATS. The shade won't help you. New York has really changed for the worst.

I went to Luna park with a friend since summer was ending. It was so fun, we went on many rides and ate a chalk ton of stuff. Tho we wanted to go on that one water ride, it was closed. Also sometimes employees can be a little fresh with you, overral it was pretty good.

Really rude staff! Overheard the manager in the ticket area instruct an employee to scan tickets bought online, then tell customers their online tickets don't work and they need to buy full price tickets ($70 a pop) at the park, and they should get their money back from the online site. The manager said yes, it's dishonest and since we scanned the tickets there's no way they will get their money back, so it's a way to generate more money for the park and most of the time people don't complain. This is a management policy! Yikes!! I feel sorry for people who buy tickets online and then forced to buy inflated tickets at the park. Sounds like a scam that should be reported to the city? We felt is was dirty overall. Ticket and eating areas.. you are literally standing on garbage. Gross and overpriced for the experience. Victorian Gardens is a more pleasant and clean experience for 1/3 the price.

God this park is so amaizing, me and my boyfriend played 18 games and there were 27 just because the other games were for children. My best decision was to buy the bracelet with the 40% of discount and for the hole day. I spend 5 hours at the park. My favorite place for to go this summer!

Best experience ever. Discounts for vets. Handicap friendly too. Parking is free on Sunday. Friendly people, dancing on the Broadwalk. Fresh food of all kinds. Beach was beautiful. My Grandbabies loved it as mu daughter Kimberly did.
