REVIEWS OF Kings Island IN Kentucky

I would recommend getting the discounted after 4pm ticket. That's when most people start to leave meaning you wait less for the rides and it feels less hot. Not too mention you save a little money on the ticket itself. Even going on a Friday after four, giving you only about 5-6 hours in the park, you could easily hit every ride you'd want to.

There's something for everyone here at king's island. For food, try some Tom&Chee or a funnel cake to get your craving fix. It's a great time, especially during haunt fest

Beth Zboran

we had an awesome day. the park is full of great coasters. we had no lines at all. Park is clean and staff is friendly. I recommend buying the refillable drink cup, definitely worth it.

Very fun time at the amusement and water park. Great rides for all ages and decent food options throughout the park. It was a terribly hot day, and the park was packed, so the line waits were on the too long side. Nonetheless, we had a fun time a.d the water rides and wave pools really coed us down.

Alyssa Morland

One of the best amusement parks I have been to. It is clean, but the bathrooms are outdated. If you have a little one still in diapers it is difficult. Rides are fantastic and there is something for everyone in the family. We liked it so much we bought season passes. The food has been good. Would recommend for anyone!

This place was fun. Haven't been to an amusement park in about 10 years. Has great roller coasters but could use more fans through out the park for the hot days without a breeze. The unlimited drink cup was a great deal for a hot day.A must do when in the area. We came from South Carolina to visit family and Kings Island made for a fun day.

Fun place with rides and entertainment for all age groups. We have gone here for many years and my son loves it. We will do the Halloween fest this year too.

Kennith Lewsader

I spent so many weekend here in the past! It's a awesome park & the best one in my book. I been to a lot of amusement parks from Chicago to St Louis to NJ and Kentucky. This is by far the best!!!

Jennifer Little

Had a company picnic here on one of the hottest days of the year, everybody that we came across was wonderful! Came across a couple cooling fans as we walked through too. I would suggest a few more cooling stations throughout the park though. The lights on the tower and in the fountains are beautiful! Had a great time.

Matthew Cecil

Really fun time for the entire family, plenty of rides to keep all age of kids entertained, and mom and dad too. Food is pricy so be prepared for that. But all in all it's a really great time.

Javoncia Hancock

It was so hot today and we was offered free water by almost every stand ! Very low wait time on all of the big rides. Also I was walking with a group of friends and one of the workers named Rick , got us in a ride without waiting ! A human skip the line pass !!! He was great and deserves a raise. Great experience.

M H

The kids always enjoy it. The 11 yo did Diamond Back and Vortex for the first time. He loved it. We also did Soak City. The end of season and a cloudy day means less crowds and less lines. If you can afford to have a Cabana it is worth it. There are towels and a dedicated person to bring food...and alcohol if so desired.

shirley quattlebaum

Always a great way to spend the day. Love the old rides-old cars and log flume. Makes you feel like a kid again.

Micah Gaston

I love King's Island, because of its quality and size. King's Island is a place (in my opinion) for all ages, with all of its specific age group attractions, so the fun is non stop. I recently visited King's Island; Haunt, which is an event starting in October that has gives fun spooky aspect to the park. I absolutely love King's Island!

I took my daughter there today for her first "real" roller coaster experience and it did not disappoint!! The park was clean and every staff member was very kind and polite. The longest line was maybe 15 minutes long. The crew members were worked very quickly to check all safety belts and to make sure the entry and exit from the rides were safe and fast and this really helps keep the line moving. Thank you Kings Island for an unforgettable day of fun and excitement!!!

Cameron Spradling

Park is always super clean, and staff are great. Wait times aren't terrible, even when the place is packed. Fast passes are definitely a go to if you hate the wait. Rides are generally very reliable, only ever had one issue with a ride and it was just closed for maintenance.

Errol Huffman

Like most parks, time is a valuable commodity and, unfortunately, staff and services don't recognize the negative impact they can have on your resources. The park and it's offerings as well as the nature of a family adventure make it a four. The price and commercial hogging can make it a to star experience. Be prepared to plan, plan, plan to get the most out of it and have the best time

Pat Newbold

Just don't think it's worth the money anymore. Lines are so long and with the fast pass they are even longer for those who have been waiting. Stood in line for over an hour to get our souvenir all day drink cups, only to be told they were out you'll have to go find another restaurant that still has some. Kentucky Kingdom is a much better value and about 15 minutes shorter drive.

Joe Kennedy

Kings Island is a great deal for the entire family. Providing rides and entertainment for all ages and desired thrill level. Also, they have food and beverage packages that can make the experience more affordable overall.

Jarred Weitz

And absolutely amazing park! The rides are great and for an amusement park it’s very clean! The ride operators are very quick so the ride lines are relatively short. I always have a great time whenever I go there!!

Jenn Guzman

We have season passes to Kings Island because we love it that much. They do an outstanding job keeping the bathrooms clean and the staff that you interact with are always very attentive.

Haidan Durham

Amazing. Great to bring your family, friends, whoever. Some rides can't accommodate larger people simply because the restraints aren't large enough so that should be noted (my dad almost couldn't fit on the drop tower ) sort of pricey unless you buy a gold or season pass before the park opens (in 3 visits {assuming you bought your pass near Christmas} you've already made your pass worth it, beyond that your saving money).

Clifford Smith

I've been going to Kings Island since '78. It's become such a large part of the entire family's history of making memories at any single place. We've been season pass holders for many years and we take advantage of it. There are so many things that the entire family will enjoy from boardwalk type rides, water rides, the greatest coasters in the country, the water park has more than most, a good selection of foods, and at the end of the day a nice fireworks show to enjoy. There are numerous hotels in the area and one of the best is Great Wolf Lodge. It's what you and your family or friends make of the day or days. There's something for everyone!

Daniel Goens

Way crowded, long lines for rides. I highly recommend waiting for a nice cool weekday if you're older like me. People watching was a blast though. Should have done the water park. We're going back on a nice cool weekday when the kids are back in school

Rae R

I love this place. I think that most places have good and bad qualities once in a while. Overall, I enjoy spending time with my family here. The park is well maintained and clean. Cedar Fair does an amazing job maintaining their parks. There is great deal of parking yet it would be nice if the trams came back so people who parked way out didn’t have to haul their items up to the entrance. There is a variety of restaurants to eat at and many stores to browse. Plenty of shows as well! It definitely can be a bit expensive here and I think some things are ridiculously overpriced! Yes, I understand the park has to make money, but over $4 for a bottle of soda or water is a bit extreme! There is a water park and a mixture of rides for many ages. The good stuff outweighs the bad. I definitely recommend!

Eric Patterson

I only gave 4 stars because you have to leave room for better parks like Cedar Point. This is a great park that is easy to get around. The food is good for amusement park food with Panda, Chick, and Skyline. Diamondback, Banshee, and Mystic Timbers are top notch coasters. Then there are two classics in the Beast and Vortex. All in all a great family fun time. All the workers were friendly.

Jennifer Hoilman

We are gold pass members and also purchase the meal plan. We bring the kids at least twice a month and sometimes we just visit after work to have dinner and walk around. Haunt is awesome and the Christmas event is fun for the whole family!

Katy Omar

You can take your family. Ages under 3 get in free. You can also buy the tickets through the website online. What I liked the most is the family care center, The employee did great job helping us out.She was absolutely awesome. Thank You. Highly recommended

Amazing attitudes all around by staff. We had a great time! We were able to do many things due to the app informing us on wait times on rides.

Gary Pennington

Christian concert was fabulous. God is so good. Sharing a worship experience with all those brothers and sisters in Christ was awesome. What unity and love is beyond words. Hallelujah

Jodie Randolph

Always love going to Kings island been spending time at Soak City. I am a gold pass holder and it's so fun spending time with the family. The meal plan option is the best deal there to add to your pass. I save a decent amount every week with the meal plan. So excited for the new roller coaster next year!!!

Joseph Badgett

Kings Island is always a blast of a time! The wait times on the rides are never terrible no matter the time or day, the staff is always very knowledgeable and helpful, and the water park is great! All in all, some of the rides are a little dated but I think that’s what gives this park a little character, plus it’s very nice to be able to see and visit the entire park in one trip and this park is the perfect size for that. Check it out!

Eric

It was fun going growing up as a kid, and it's fun now! Also would like to mention it's well worth paying for the advanced parking as it gets you close to the entrance once you are in and get your hand stamped you can come and go as you please don't forget to pack your cooler!

Shane Campbell

It's lost some of its appeal and beauty back when it felt more wooded with antique cars where they used to be and the white water canyon didn't have a roller coaster over top of it. I wish they had a slow ride that cruises the park in the air but not a thrill ride kind of like TomorrowLand Transit Authority at Magic Kingdom.

mariana mae loves to play!

was a nice place for my 6 year old, but it was unfair that we had a 4 hour drive and got rained out within a couple hours, she was only able to get on a few rides due to the wait time. would like to go back but unsure if it's worth the $ and hassle. great kids attractions

Megan Garcia

We always have fun when we come here. My daughter never wants to leave when it's time to. She's 7 by the way. This was my first season bringing her and she loved every trip we went which was 25 times this past summer

Ryan Wantland

Our third year with season passes and we love this park. Lots for the entire family to do and the atmosphere is much more inviting than Cedar Point. Crowds can get crazy on the weekends. Come late during a weekday and the lines are never bad.

Mr Branscum

Great fun. Rides are awesome. Any age can have a blast. Winner of the golden thumb award, meaning they have the best crew when it comes to safety. But let the photo be a reminder, if you don't want to lose it, secure it.

Melissa Gabbard

They have something for everyone. Never a dull moment. While my daughter was out enjoying the park me and my grandson enjoyed planet Snoopy. He was having fun riding coasters just like his momma.

Dis Dude

Amazing time with friends and family never disappoints. Would recommend a season pass if you live close like 2 or 3 hours or less because it is worth the drive every weekend.

Tim Rowell

Best amusement park in the land!! Great rides and great shows!! Really top notch place!!! The summer carnival was a great addition. The meal plans available and drink deals are affordable and is quality food with ample portions. The annual pass is a great deal with the summer, haunt fest, and now Winterfest!! Winterfest was great last year and the different areas with singing and activities was so fun and they sang a great variety of Christmas songs. The singers by the petting zoo were some of my favorite that sang beautiful songs!! Great job KI!! Keep it up!!!

Ski Gowitzke

We go here every couple years and always have a great time. Plenty for all to do. Great staff which is pretty much consistent with Cedar Fair parks

Frank Chisman

Still a great park, clean, good rides, and even though it was more crowded than normal, it still wasn't bad wait times. We walked right onto the Bat, and waited five minutes or less for several other rides. I miss the Old World music on International Street. It used to have such wonderful atmosphere. Times change.

Tisha Dunn

No fireworks... Honda employees had to wait well over a hour at admissions.. Kings island was definitely not prepared for this event.. there were no shows so if you weren't riding rides there was nothing really to do.. this was supposed to be a family event and there were no family things to do the bingo game was very un-organized..

Steve W

A trip to Kings Island is rare for us so I'm relieved to say today's was amazing. Our son is 4 so we didn't venture outside the kids area ride-wise. Instead, we spent a hot day relaxing in Soak City. There are "pools" for everyone in the family to enjoy. It can be a pricey experience to ne sure, though.

Aiden Schwable

This is one of the best places to go have some family fun in Ohio! With fun rides and friendly staff, as well as tons of rides to check out, there is just so much to do! There are some games to play and they also have a train to ride! They also have their own app, which tells you about wait times, ride descriptions, all from a map! And, who wouldn't want to spend a few minutes in Planet Snoopy? If you need a fun place to go for the whole family Kings Island is the place to do it!

Micah Gaston

I recently visited King's Island; Haunt, which is an event starting in October that has gives fun spooky aspect to the park. I absolutely love King's Island!

Brittany Cooper

Went to Halloween Haunt and had a nice time. It was incredibly packed, but we do plan on going back before the month is over. The decorations and theatrics is great!!

Bronson Brown

If you are trying to pick, go to Cedar Point instead, however this is still a very fun park a lot of enjoyable attractions for all age ranges. The only reason Id say to go to Cedar Point over Kings Island is that Cedar Point has more extreme coasters and its a little better taken care of in my opinion. They are both under the same management I believe but yeah either way it's a good time. I'd recommend.

John Bolt Lightning

It's a very awesome place. A new ride is being made, it's named ORION. It will be a very tall, 305 feet tall, coaster. It will take until 2020. One of 7 giga coasters in the world. You can see it when you ride THE RACER. It will be crowded at K.I when it's done. It's a very awesome place very awesome place for the entire family!

Mr. S.

Great place to visit during the evening hours in the summer due to crowds and hot weather. There are enough coasters on site that allow even busier days at the park to be productive. Highly recommend buying an annual pass along with their drink and dining plan.

Robert Sandu

It is a nice place for families and friends to go have fun. They have different rides that can take your breath away for a minute. Personally I enjoyed the vortex ride.

Bea Keller

I love amusement parks and roller coasters. The Diamondback is the best coaster here! Download the app and check the waits for the rides in real time. Everywhere offers free water on hot days so make sure to take advantage of that!

MineOps YouTube

Great park! If you plan on eating there more than once you may want to consider the All-Day Dining, its only $30 for free meals every 90 minutes. Our meals wouldve cost almost $20/person without it. Also the drinks are almost $5 each so the free refill cup for $12 is not a bad buy either.

Adam Hamby

Love Kings Island! Great staff & well operated. Some of the best coasters in the country. And who doesn't love the blue ice cream? I highly suggest a gold pass & food pass. Save a lot of $ & time.

Trinity is tired

Kings island is really fun. Great place to bring kids due to the amazing kiddie land. Older kids and adults will love it as welll.

Juanita Luginbuhl

Kings Island never disappoints, there's always a lot going on. A very clean, exciting amusement park with world class coasters, amazing food and the best children's area... Planet Snoopy... not to mention Soak City, a fantastic water park with two huge wave pools and many other water rides.

Sandy Florence

Kings Island is a great place to take your family. A lot of things for the whole family to do. The only thing they need is hooks somewhere in the ladies room in case a lady takes her purse with her.

Amanda Robey

I love the rides and the variety of activities throughout the season--carnival, Halloween Haunt, Winterfest. Plus when you buy a ticket it includes the water park. Totally worth getting a gold pass membership and visiting several times throughout the year!

Jeanine Wachter

Was far too crowded for it to be enjoyable. Took more than 5 hours to ride only 3 rides. Could barely walk, it was so crowded. Seems they far exceed maximum capacity.

Fresca Jones

I've loved this place since I was a kid. And was so excited to finally take my boys ages 16 and 12 and there friends. 2 days was not long enough to explore the whole park no joke. The night ride and fireworks is amazing. I can't wait to take my boys to the Halloween one they have and there's a new ride coming soon can't wait.

Saurabh Vishwakarma

It's a great place to visit for all age group... Breathtaking rides... A place with Largest, tallest and most breathtaking roller coasters of the world... They are just awesome...

Ti Harris

Great amusement park. Only downside is that lines are ALWAYS long (even for food), but as expected. Going on a cooler day, bringing a face towel ,and bringing water makes waiting in line MUCH easier.

Joseph Brayshaw

Awesome local amusement park with lots to do. Try and bring food and drinks in if you can because concessions are expensive. If you plan on going even three or four times just get a pass as it is cheaper.

Kimberly Osborn

Absolutely Loved it! Second time this year. Went for their Haunt night at Kings Island that runs through last wknd in October. Kings Island goes all out for Halloween and it showed! Definitely recommend this experience but don't recommend taking small children for the Haunt Night.

Shaun Henry

Great park everything about it is classic. Coasters are amongst the best in the country. One mild suggestion: The app does not give accurate wait times when lines are long.

Rachelle Shaffer

The coasters aren't as big as Cedar Point, but they are still pretty fun, the biggest bonus is that the wait times are significantly shorter. I loved The Beast - from where we were sitting (in the middle of a car), the ride wasn't too rough. The Drop Tower was fun. You don't want to miss out on The Diamondback, and Mystic Timbers had lots of air time. And don't forget to go up in the Eiffel Tower, it provides a great view of the park.

Karl Niles

After a week of unbearable heat, our entire day at K.I. was cool and rainy. We've been there 20+ times over all of its decades, and this was the smallest crowd ever. Unable to do many rides, due to weather, and the water park closed early, those superb employees put on their happiest faces, and treated us all like royalty. Give them all raises, from the customer relations desk, to the food service workers, and include the ride operators and cleaning crew. Great job in a soaking wet situation.

Tammy Yates

Had several short burst of rain, park closes the rides for hours. Would not rain check the Fast Plus Plus even though it was only used for two rides. When it sprinkles, it's just a money grab for them. They keep all attractions closed for hours.

R Ravi

Excellent experience. Best choice if you’re adventure ride lover! Went on a Memorial Day weekend and spent 1 full day. Don’t miss out the water park - Soak City. It’s the best suitable for summer. Remember to take your swimsuit as some rides in water park mandate it. If you’re a fast and furious 1 day visitor, go exactly at park open time to Kings island and it may take up to 3pm to cover all rides. It’s better to finish Kings island with 2 water rides - one splash ride and another river water ride and then take a train to Soak City where you’ll be completely soaked. There are good food options in both the parks and we preferred subway. The flip side of subway is long lines, limited bread options and costly menu. Overall, expect a good theme park experience to quench summer heat!

Stu C

This place was fun had awesome roller coasters along with other rides had a great family day. Highly recommend going to a Kroger store and buying the passes from there save a few bucks.

Jo N

Our family enjoyed the park very much it was very well landscapes and maintained. The rides were great and the wait times during our visit were good. The fireworks display was awesome, I'm glad we stayed to see it. It rained while we were there one day and I was disappointed that they shut down some food places early, I could see rides, but food places. We were going to purchase food to take back to the hotel.

รc0гpค LΞGΞИD

King's Island was a very fun and entertaining escape from the modern day life. I really like how Soak City is also a part of it as well which makes it the perfect spot to chill, have lots of fun, and cool off!

Marco Evens

This has been my all time favorite amusement park since I was a little kid. I’ve been coming here since I was six and have been every year except once since then. Great rides for kids and adults of all ages. Always something exciting to do, decent wait times and, of course, good food and drinks when you need a refreshment to cool off in the hot sun or a quick bite to eat. This is a great park with great admission prices and definitely shows why Ohio is the amusement park capital of the world.

Darthmatius 1980

nice park, great selection of things to do for smaller children. food and drinks are a little pricey but overall not to bad. try and go during low attendance times or waits can be long. overall a good park.

Brittany Cooper

Went to Halloween Haunt and had a nice time. It was incredibly packed, but we do plan on going back before the month is over. The decorations and theatrics is great!!

Luigi Blackfoot

Great place to take the family. The Diamondback was the highlight but the Banshee and Delirium gave it a run for the money. At 50 years old I thought I was done with thrill rides but now I can't wait to go back! If you found my review informative or helpful please click the like button

Kurdt Long

I love Kings Island. I have since I was a little kid. However, I'm only giving 3 stars because of a new practice the park has seemed to adopt. Every new ride they build, they do not have those bins at the station for you to put your stuff in. This is a blatant ploy to squeeze patrons for more money, and I think it's an insult to me as a customer. Cedar fair needs to stop this practice, it is obtusely anti-customer.

Drew Smith

We always have a wonderful time. The in park app makes picking your rides easy. There's plenty to do and eat. Plan on a couple days so that you can enjoy the water park and all the rides!

Malori Thornsburg

I grew up going to Kings Island and our family gets a gold pass every year. There is everything from the excellent Planet Snoopy kids area to the extreme thrill rides that never disappoint. The water park is a great place to spend a hot afternoon lounging while the kids run from slide to slide or play in the wave pool.

Greg Cansler

Tons of fun and great memories made. Got the evening ticket discount, bought the bottomless cup , both are great ways to save money. Bought a meal pass but would not again. Enjoyed the water park and the rides all in one day for one price.

j23 Galindo

I love the place and I always will but can we get bigger seats for the bigger people. It would be greatly appreciated.

John Marsden

Kings Island is a family friendly park. My wife & I visited for the first time and we loved it. Its got everything and the atmosphere is terrific. If only we lived nearer, we would come again & again.

Laura L.

It is a good thing I have a season pass because three times this summer Diamondback has been closed. One visit had four major rides closed. This is a fun park with lots of eats and rides. Going on a weekday after school has started, we did not have long rides. The restrooms are not the cleanest but expected for the extent of traffic there.

Rick Hightower

Ride lines are too long. Concession food prices have also gotten out of hand and so has the parking price. Many of the workers are slow and do not seem excited about their seasonal job. If you purchase the ticket with free sodas they make you stand in line just for the wrist band. I love this park and think it has promise still but really needs a consumer friendly family style customer service makeover.

Billie Murphy

I don't most of the problems can't really be helped but it was so hot and so crowded and there were bees flying everywhere. I couldn't wait to leave. But it's a good place if you have patience and not allergic to bees.

Christopher Hobbs

It's a solid theme park. Started pouring out of nowhere. They could be better prepared for that with more covered areas. Maybe ponchos for sale at more locations. But other than that no complaints here.

Kyle Null

It's worth visiting if you're in the area with friends and family. It's something entertaining to do and won't be overly expensive to get tickets for. There's a few good coasters, the wooden ones will rock your insides so be careful of those. The indoor coaster was surprisingly good. They're presently building a new coaster that'll be noteworthy. I was seeing info on it that it'll be 300ft drop and 90+ mph. That should bump this place up to a 4. I'd always choose Cedar Point over this place if you were going out of your way to choose a place to ride coasters. However, if you live nearby or just moved to the area there's no reason you shouldn't take the time to check everything out.

Maurice Cooper

It was great to be back after a few years! Even though i misplaced my phone case among other things, they helped me find it, even after the park closed for the day. Such amazing staff, and i'm very grateful to have everything back. Thank you all so much!

marveldog103

Rides looked scary but I knew that I would have a lot of fun and I did.

Redmoon Photography

My favorite place to be and my home park. Lots of coasters and great flat rides. An award winning kids park in planet snoopy. World class shows. Great food, friendly workers. And has an awesome water park. The largest water park in the Midwest.

Chen Brothers Toy Fun

Kings Island is best enjoyed on Tuesday-Thursday. Typically on those days there are hardly any crowds, and the lines are very short!. If you must go on the weekend I would recommend going on a slightly rainy day, it will still be crowded (trust me it will) but a little less so. Have fun!

Remah Dinc

We had a fantastic time. My 3 year old really enjoyed the rides there.

Chip Dunning

It's not Disney, but KI has a solid selection of rides and the included Water Park is a great addition. Halloween Haunt and Christmas are excellent events. Food is a bit under par, but there are good food options nearby.

Jason Jarvis

Kings Island is by far one of the best places to go to wind Down or do you have a good time with the family however I feel it's a little dated needs to see a lot of improvement my feelings are they should bring the Top Thrill Dragster coaster to Kings Island because most of the coasters have been there for a while and there are more than familiar which makes him a little boring

Shivers InTheDark314

I love this park. As a coaster junkie, it's my dreamland. My son's favorite part is the fairground alley, with rides and games. He never wants to leave, especially since they do such amazing fireworks at the end of every night. The Halloween attractions are awesome, never miss it!! It's nice to be able to get gold passes to bypass hours-long lines because it isn't uncommon to wait upwards of 3 hours to get on a popular ride. Or season passes if you go a lot will save you a lot of money. Also they have smaller promotions like refillable drink cups that lower the cost of drinks, as they are typically $4 or more for as simple small fountain soda or bottled water. And believe me, in the heat of summer, you're going to need to keep hydrated!! Of course, you certainly do pay for those conveniences! A normal ticket is already much too expensive when you factor in the fact that you will not be able to get a sandwich and a drink in the park for less than $10 a person. That's tough and does stop us from going as much as we would like to. (We live too far away to warrant getting a season pass.) All in all though, superior rides and attractions, and truly a lot of fun!! Worth the drive, just be sure you come prepared with the essentials- cash, cards, sunblock, etc- because if you can avoid having to use the atm, or buying hats or sunblock, that will save you a ton! Also, be prepared to wait an hour or more to get out of the parking lot if you wait till the fireworks are done and everyone is leaving at the same time. My suggestion, book it out a few minutes early. Yeah, you might miss some fireworks but the ease of leaving is VERY worth it. Great park day for the family or fun loving couple!!!

Dewayne Yocum

Way too hot. And with lines, it's only worth it if you have a fast pass. And really 9 dollars for a drink?! Bring your own snacks and drinks

Mohammad Al-Failakawi

Went the day before school starts. There was barely any lines there. I was able to get on almost all the rides. I think it is worth your money. Got the 4 combo deal and added one more tickets. With the 4 combo deal, you get free parking as well. Check their website for best deals. Get your tickets online

Daniel Chaitkin

SO MUCH FUN!! Great place to go with the fam or a couple friends! The Halloween Haunt was a ton of fun and I really enjoyed the whole experience!

Brandon Webb

Fun place, cannot wait for the next coaster! Wish they would make the all year cups automatically come with a gold pass. Would definitely boost sales!

Shay Hobbs

Kings Island was amazing fun. Another Toyota Family Fun Day come and gone with memories we will never forget! No matter what you are into, there is something for everyone. The Eiffel tower has the best view of the entire park all around. The drop tower gives a great rush and a fast thrill! The Vortex, The Banshee, The Beast, The Viking boat, and Invertigo are my top 5 rides we MUST hit every year. Not only do they have great rides but the side games along the area and the arcade are a blast. This year I finally decided to play one of the games and won a piplup for my daughter which she then carried everywhere. May of gotten sunburned but it was totally worth it! The smiles and happiness alone made the trip worth while. Looking forward to next year's trip!

Jennifer Fuhrmann

So fun! I took my 6 & 8 year old boys. The rides are perfect for their ages. There is plenty to do for all. It wasn't too crowded the day we went, so not many lines. We took an old time photo that was a fun way to get out of the sun for a few minutes. Plenty of food options. The carnival celebration seemed like a fun time but it started to storm right after the opening parade so we had to leave.

I spent most of my time in Soak City with my grandkids. They had a blast. I also liked that they were giving out free water with it being so hot outside. The smallest water slide (for the little ones) needs to be updated/resurfaced and repainted. All the money they charge for parking, there shouldn't be one pothole in that lot, though.

Marisol Dodd

We love Kings Island! We recently went for a private event and brought our kids ages 10,7 and 2. There was something for all of them. The kids place is close to the enterenc so we hit that 1st and once there, the employees measured our kids and gave them color coded wristbands which made it so much easier figuring out which rides they could each ride in the park. The workers are always changing out the trash bins and sweeping the grounds. We had a blast

Greg Thomas

We love going, have a Gold Pass. Rides are great and we always have fun. We don't get food there because it's extremely over priced and not great. However, we decided to have some blue ice cream the other day. It wasn't bad, but something seemed strange about it because it kept caving in on itself. Not sure why the would cut corners like this.

Bret Mangus

Insane time. Had not been here in 20 years! It was different but the same. Was still scared but rode a few coasters I wouldn't ride when I was 12. Lmao Wife and I had a blast.

Jonathan Moxley

Always a great place to be! This is truly my favorite place to be, my adult playground. The staff as Kings Island is true top notch. Their number one focus is safety and I see that every time I'm at the park. The employees make this park remarkable in so many ways. Keep up the great work!!

Lorin Lemme

Best theme park in the Midwest. Coasters are amazing and the water park is top notch. We go here every year before the kids head back to school. Perfect way to end summer break!

B Murray

Such a fun place to visit! If it isn't too busy, which it wasn't when I was there, the lines are not long and the rides are great. Especially loved riding diamondback at night!

Dane Griffey

Awesome theme park and roller coaster attraction. Loved it water park is included in ticket to park Hoping they add some real heavy hitters since ceadar point bought the park Home of the beast A 40 year old classic record setting wooden roller coaster As well as many other greats. Had a blast with the wife and kids They really loved it

Jama Bradfield

Rides are way better than when I was a kid. My neck wasn't jerked around. My spine wasn't compressed. It was a very pleasant trip! Would recommend to any others who hated rollercoasters in the 90's. The new ones are much more comfortable.

kobii mac

I love the food at Kings Island Lil Rosa's Pizza is one of the best intense for kind of like an early birthday gift my cousin took me there yesterday we were there all day walking around that whole park is probably like 12 miles I hate roller coasters oh which takes up most of the rides now I'm incredibly scared of roller coasters they just grab my stomach and make me feel like I'm going to puke the high things the drop on the roller coasters again it is one of the best places I've ever been when it comes to fun

Kristen DiThomas

King's island lost the charm it used to have long ago. Many rides now gone should still be around. Unfortunately change has to happen but some things are better left alone.

Joe H

One of those perfect days at KI. Just me and my son. A little rain to keep just enough people away. Temperatures were perfect, humidity down even with the rain. Lines were not long. People watching is always AMAZING at KI. Have fun Mystic Timbers is awesome. Smooth and fast.

tracy Shirley

Fun, but I'm from up state and Cedar point tops this park. Different in a good way though

Mac A

Certainly not a bad amusement park. I would argue that it’s more fun for younger kids and families than young adults because the rides aren’t overly thrilling. With that said, the aggression of the rides isn’t the only reason people go to amusement parks. The park was very clean, and the staff was friendly. I definitely had a good time here, but I don’t know if I’d go again with kids my age. I’d prefer to go somewhere with more aggressive rollercoasters.

Joey Fojtik

This place only gets better year after year. Cedar Fair has done a great job! The Kids area, Planet Snoopy, is wonderful and the thrill rides are awesome! My 11 and 6 year old sons love this place. Also the meal plan and annual drink cups may not be a break even financially, but it most certainly is convenience. The app now even let's you store your pass so there is no need to carry it with you. Well worth visiting when you are in the area!

Isaac Garst

Fantastic roller coasters!! Food situation is terrible, but I guess that's normal for a theme park. Not only is it overpriced but it's terrible quality unless you want to wait forever for a franchise meal.

Shawn Moberly

Great experience with kids of all ages...something for everyone...good times! Little ones and big ones loved the park and all the rides....the park was set up for Spookfest and looked like it would have been a blast but our younger ones were ready to go after the September 90 plus degrees!!

Alicia Westerfield

Prepare yourself for long lines and long wait times. Have been on various days of the week and it is always the same. Variety of rides for all thrill seeking levels.

Reaperswrath1720 Cox

It is still a fun place. I don't go as much as i should. Four stars is all that i could give it because the price for everything is just Wow. The price for some foods are awesome. I do love the all you can drink for a certain price. But having to wait 15 minutes between free drinks is wrong on a hot day. People share drinks to save cost to spend elsewhere in the park. Other then that i still love this place. Keep up the great entertainment!!!!

Michael Beatrice

There's no arguing that The Beast is an amazing ride. That said... Racer, Vortex, and others, could use a lot of TLC at this point. It's hard to believe that this is owned by the same company as Cedar Point... They're worlds apart in cleanliness and class

Arunabha Mitra

It's a huge park so be ready to walk for quite a bit. Remember to stay hydrated between rides. It's best to have your backpacks etc in a locker as most of the rides don't allow them and/or don't have storage areas next to the rides. All the rollercoasters were great! Overall, an awesome experience! Hope to be back soon.

Sarah Veness

We waited in line for the Beast twice! Never rode it which sucked. I will definitely go back but not on a Saturday. The park is awesome but you won't get many rides in if you visit on the weekend.

Megan Tischner

Family-friendly and a lot of fun. This park is great for any age and any speed. The kids area (Planet Snoopy) is fantastic. My 3 year old loves it! The Fischer Homes family care area provides a cool, quiet place to care for babies and toddlers. The park is clean and well cared for. There's a nice variety of rides, from a classic merry-go-round to thrilling, intense roller coasters. We'll keep going back!

Candice Cook

I just want to say I took four kids to kings island being 8 months pregnant and my youngest got sick with a fever and the medical staff has not only been extremely friendly and caring but made us feel very welcomed! Even though we couldn't enjoy the day how we planned knowing the rest of my kids could enjoy the day while my youngest and myself got to hang out and feel better made it worth it!

Chris Mich

It's a great park but this place suffers from a waiting in line problem, and they are fully aware of it and capitalize it by charging out the nose for the fast pass. Meh, it's not worth the aggravation for the common layman to wait, but if you live around here just buy the season pass and come here more than 5 times when it's looking like it's going to rain and you'll get your money back.

Ariel Hill

My family had an awesome time doing everything. I can't wait to come back. I will say they need to have charging ports since it seems like every year the price increases.

Joe Roberts

It's was a good day out. Only issue was line to ride the rides. I purpose making rides that will hold more people at once & or allowing only a certain amount of people so the experience can be way better at the whole park

Stacey Smallwood

Fun, fun, fun. Good for the whole family. Rides for every age and thrill level. Lots of shops. Good food. Bring your bathing suit for t hff e water park, included in admission seasonally. Lockers available.

Patrick Cincinnati

Love kings island since I was a kid! We volunteer here every year for the "A Kid Again" event for terminal / high risk children and their families. Rewarding and humbling. Another (hot!) but great event this year!!!

Stee Weaver

Had a great time. Not as crowded as Cedar Point. Good price to get in. Rode most of the coasters without the fast line thing, so that's a plus. The coasters overall were good. Loved Beast (which i rode in the 80s) and Banshee. The drink deal for 14 bucks for a cup served two for a day. Great wet rides to cool off too, CONGO! Overall a great place, just redo the dang parking lot already.

Angie Combs

First time here in about 7 years... I WAS EXCITED! Liked the changes, just too bad weather was so rainy this Summer. Not many days to use my Gold Pass (not KI 's fault!) Would like to try again next year, not sure!

Evelyn Marie

We had a great time with the family. There are lots of options for rides with different levels of intensity. Will definitely come again!

Chad Lape

An amazing world amusement park. Lived near it all my life and still a great experience. Has one of the best kid parks of the world, so wonderful for families, and a ton of absolute gems all over the park. Flight of fear has gotta be my favorite of those. But even going on the beast and leaving would give you one hell of an experience.

Tracy Tucker

Mike at the Tumbler game is an AMAZING employee. He treated my son who has nonverbal Autism like any other child there. He let him throw the ball a few extra times as he couldnt get it close to the tumblers! Mike you are my hero and your parents should be so proud of the son they raised!!!!!

Ashley Powell

The area for nursing moms is amazing and relaxing. My kids had a blast in the kiddie land. The new arm bands to show height made it easier to not let our kids down after waiting in line. I'm very impressed!

Elias Montalvo

We had fast lane and rode rides till our heart almost stopped and had a panic attack and the heat index was 93 degrees at the time ,so we had to stop for drinks about every 30 min. Also, I have a crook on my neck from the racer, so that was a good time too because thats the ride I began with, with the result resulting in me having to deal with the crook my entire time there. Which still was cool because I kept thinking about the roller coaster.....but anyways I rode every ride and some two to three times and it was fun and I had fun and my fiance had so much fun , she drove herself into sheer panic attack from the fun. It was hot though no joke. You should try it. It's fun.

Jeff Salmon

Tons of fun. Really miss the high budget stage shows from the 80's and 90's. Once Cedar Fair bought it out, they obviously care more about the rides. Its hard to get the extended family to come with us.

Heather Landrum

Amazing as always! Never a full moment! They have everything from kiddie rides to the daring at ❤️ heart! The Beast has a special place in my heart! But I love the Drip Tower, Stunt Cars, Mystic Timbers, Bat, Banshee, Bumper Cars, and the shows! I live that they brought back the Antique Cars.

C.B.O

The park has some amazing rollercoaster rides, it’s almost endless. You’ve got different kinds that speak to different interests. On top of that, there is so many attractions for little kids to enjoy their time in Kings island. You can spend half of your day and even more in here where you will be having fun with family/friends

saul rivas

This park is super fun. Best to arrive as soon as it opens to enjoy every ride. During summer time is great to enjoy the water park and its rides and then the rollercoasters! During Halloween haunt is a good idea to arrive early and enjoy the park first before the mazes and Halloween haunts, since it can get very crowded and long lines. Great park for the family! I enjoy coming every year.

I haven't been there in over 12 years, and we had a blast. We went on a Friday and the lines went super fast, we only waited the most 15 minutes. The park was clean and the restrooms were pretty clean the whole time we were there. We did the meal plan for our family of four and it worked out really well.

Lily Smith

Loved our time there. I’d recommend to visit the water park first and the rides later in case you’re going one day. Super fun!

RossianSpy

Nice park, with low lines. Don't even need flash pass. Next year they will have a giga coaster there so that will increase the popularity by a bit. Also when the numbers are low the slingshot drops price to only $10 which is a steal!

Matthew Grove

Overall a great amusement park experience! The park has a nice variety of attractions and plenty of places for refreshments. They have some of the best coasters I have ever been on and that rival those you will find at Cedar Point.

Eddie Susshine

Always a good time. If you download the Kings Island app and log in, you can check ride times. The staff is always friendly and helpful as well.

K P

Love this park so much we are making a second trip (only 3 weeks later) to it and bringing my teenage kiddos this time. Park was clean, organized and well run. Line attendants were very good at minimizing the wait times and keeping things moving. Our longest wait time was only an hour and in my opinion It didn't seem too bad. Most rides had us boarded and off with in 30 minutes of arriving in line. We managed to ride all coaster at least twice while we were there. We rode several of them 3 times. The dining pass is a must! To get the most out of any theme park you must eat the fare inside the park. With the dining pass you can eat every 90 minutes! My wife and I went for a quick treat for our anniversary (we love coasters) and bought one pass and did not go hungry all day. The coasters are amazing. Such a great variety from mild to fairly extreme. Loved them all. The thrill rides were great also. The Eiffel tower outlook was beautiful and the grounds were very clean. This park may be our new home away from home.

Renee Conley

It's fun. We had a great time. The roller coasters are pretty good. Cedar Point has some better ones, but the lines are much, much shorter at King's Island. Most lines are only 10 minutes or less.

Adam

Love this place . So many good memories. Help needed food lines were long on Saturdays. But worth the wait

michele ryan

We spent our honeymoon in Cincinnati and this is one of our stops. Not only did we get to ride rides but was also the start of Halloween out here. They did great on decorating it.

matthew carter

This amusement park has always been one of my favorites. The only complainti have is seat size. Most of the coasters are a very tight fit. Not kings island fault. The would be the manufacturer. Always have a good time. Great place for kids, family, friends.

Tricia Howard

Lots to do for families, thrill seekers, and even those who like taking things slow. The food is expensive for what you get, but they're in the business to make money. I'm thankful for the water refill stations, and bring my own bottles. The great thing is that, even with the unpredictable weather in the Midwest, this park is open from April straight thru December. A season pass offers amazing value!

Jessica Watson

Had a blast. Diamond back was my favorite ride! Smooth yet terrifying

Joe Ray

Super expensive, if you go when it isn't too busy and get a fast pass you can easily do it all in a day at least. Funpix isn't available in enough places to be worth the pass really. But it's an enjoyable place, with fun rides.

Marcia Bladen

We had a blast. It was a hot day. I would have liked to see more people working concession stand. The lines for refills was super long.

Jamie Mattingly

Had a wonderful time here! Unfortunately, I have to ride the tamer rides. As I have gotten older, my tolerance for the wild rides has vanished!! Enjoy this amazing amusement park!!

Adam A

King's Island is always a fun place to go, but they always seem to find a way to inconvenience you one way or another. Like the one time when it took 1 hour to get through a food line because they were not staffed properly (you may ask why I didn't go somewhere else? They took my order and my money but took forever to get the food out), or when their funnel cake/donut/ice cream/root beer float shop does not have donuts or ice cream or root beer floats. The workers they have on the rides are top notch, which they have to be because it concerns your safety, but the rest need the same level of ability to make this a great experience. They always seem on the cusp but always find something to leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Michael Hornung

GREAT HAUNT AND GREAT EXPERIENCE. MY wife and I bought a season Gold pass for the first time this year and will be going a lot more. Park is clean, rides are fun. Got just about something for every age. Get an all day dining pass, and a refillable drink. That will save you money. If you dont do this food and drink prices will put you in the poor house.

Anita Slagle

Really had a good time, except for one thing. My sister and I were waiting in the line for Mystic Timbers, and when we got to the top, to board the ride we were informed that the ride adhered to a "strict no bag policy" and as I had the bag, I could either put it in a locker or leave it with a non riding friend. I chose to leave. Leaving the ride, I looked for a sign that stated I must leave my bag. There is a sign, but it suggests that the rider "secure your bag, leave it with a non rider or get a locker". Change the sign, or change the policy.

Larry Burke

Great coasters, kids area, and water park. Follows the hub and spoke design around the Eiffel Tower, like Disney's Magic Kingdom around Cinderella's Castle. If don't have Season Passes and are going for just a day, look into the All Day Dinning Plan and the All Day Souvenir Cup.

Daryl McClain

Great rides, overpriced food and a fun atmosphere. It's a great way to spend a summer day if you have the cash to spare but be prepared for long lines and tons of litter. If you've been to Disney you should lower your expectations for the way the park is maintained but the rides are far more thrilling.

Dawn Spencer

The haunt nights are lots of fun! I will say if you want to see more than 1 or 2 of the haunted houses, you will need to pay the extra money for the freight lane passes. It gets expensive if you're taking a family, but you will be able to see them all if you do. We went 2 years ago without the freight lane pass and spent most the night waiting in line just to see 1 of them. We purchased the passes this year and saw all 9. If you are a die hard haunted house fan, you may be disappointed in these as they are not super scary, but they decorate the haunts pretty well and the park itself looks awesome!

Ally Fleckenstein

We had a great Monday at Kings Island! We are happy with how easy the tickets are to buy and access! We had an extra ticket and were able to easily send it over text message to a stranger to use! We bought our parking pass in advance and saved $3! We also ALWAYS get fast passes which are much pricier, but worth it in our minds to NEVER wait in line! There are some rides that don’t use the fast lane pass, but they’re worth the short wait and it gives you a good break from being knocked around on a coaster. The food there is great, staff is the FRIENDLIEST ever, and there is so much fun to be had! The Kings Island app is very helpful to look up wait times, mark your parking, and utilize the map! The park is always very clean, too, and they deal with people throwing up quickly/hygienically. We wish the Banshee ride had lockers because we always have to pay to get a locker just to go on it. Thank you for such a fun time on rollercoasters and the best summer tradition ever!

StandardArrow 28

Most of the rides are great (my favorite is the beast). 1 problem though, the funnel cake. My family found a parasite/worm in it. Their is 2 shops and 1 has no problem but the other one is horrible (it's the one by the German flags or the mini Eiffel tower)

Nicholas Stanton

$14 for an unlimited single day refill cup. Got sent to 4 places, too over an hour, then was told they are sold out... But they can sell me an all season refill cup for $40 when I'll be here one day this year. Rides are always awesome the rest, Ehh...

Adam C

Overall it was a good time but prices in the park were outrageous. Renting a locker is $20 for a small standard size locker. The worst part was that you have to pay $20 for the soak city side also. We picnicked outside so we saved probably 100 that way. I cant really complain, because we expected high prices. In the end it was worth it to see our children have a great time!
