Beautiful hike going north or south. Nearby 'Great Falls' is a great swim spot!

This is a beautiful area to hike and enjoy nature along the Housatonic river. The falls are majestic and an amazing site after a heavy rain or while frozen during the winter months. I enjoy visiting the area year round.

Appalachian Trail bliss, like a good, hot, freeze dried dinner, the confluence of trail spots include places to sleep and eat, nearby...maybe an Uber or a walk, but In a tiny version of itself, and all In this little spot In Connecticut. I think it's a excellent example of the trail being available to locals, in a way, difficult to reach easily from any mormal life or town, typically. One of.my states so I can vouch for niceness and honesty and warmth. But remember, no open fires in these parks. I like a candle for the same glow but safety first with flame, because people's real homes are not far away and we all need to be considerate of that danger of fire in these sometimes dry lands. Well, its the woods, and there's trees, and some water. Bulls Bridge is pretty cool, even though I'm biased.
