I came in for a follow-up Glaucoma test. The staff is very friendly & professional. They were especially great with my fussy 2 yr old. Dr. Holden is awesome. he explains things so easily. he is great with my daughter and made her 1st eye appointment so fun!. This office will definitely be our family eye place for as long as we're in Maine.

I switched to smart eye care for several reasons. One being they are close to home, and two there was going to be a four month wait for me to get in to see my previous doctor for a routine eye exam. When I first called smart eye care they were incredibly kind and down to earth on the phone. They were able to get me in the next day for an exam. The waiting room is quaint and clean but also modern. You can tell they take pride in their office. The front office staff were friendly. My wait time was minimal, I’d say under 5 minutes before the tech brought me back. They let me know the cost of an optional diagnostic picture right up front. My wait time in the transition from tech to Dr. Holden was also very minimal. The tech and Dr. Holden had good communication because she had already informed him of my concerns before he came into the room and he was able to fully address all of them and offered solutions. My total time there was under an hour and I left feeling very satisfied. They also respect your choice to buy glasses online and even offer a plan to do any adjustments or repairs to glasses you purchase online. I never felt like “just another patient”. They were wonderful and I highly recommend them.

With my experience here, the staff was always friendly and knowledgable. My eye exam and everything else went great. Top of the line equipment also. The frame selection was satisfactory in-store, with many more options online. There was a shipping mix-up (not their fault) that didn't get my new glasses to me as fast as I would have liked, but they did a great job keeping me updated and tried helping as much as possible.
