I have been to several Eyeglass Worlds over the years to purchase my glasses. This is the first time an associate took the time to help me pick out frames that actually fit the shape, and size of my face. Priscilla really went the extra mile looking through drawers of frames to help me find a narrow frame, and giving me feed back on what looked good or didn't. This is the first time I have received so many compliments on my new glasses. Thanks Priscilla.

Just finished up with Katie at Eyeglass World. I must say that it is refreshing to work with someone who is Professional, Personable, and Knowledgeable about the product that they sell. I later found out that Katie is the General Manager after finishing my transaction. It all starts at the top! Katie is a prime example of true customer service.

The only thing I liked was one of the ladies there since she had a professional attitude and was easy to talk to. They don't tell you the price of things before you do them so you'll be surprised with the bill and the doctor there either didn't listen to me because he wanted to tell me his life story or he heard me and forgot what I said 5 minutes later. They screw with your prescriptions as well so you HAVE to come back. You think they're treating your lens properly before you pick them up? HA, I watched a chick drop someone's eye glass lens on the ground and didn't bother to pick them up until she was done looking through the other boxes. She didn't like when I pointed that out either. Don't go if you're expecting a fast and not that expensive. I should of paid $175 and ended up paying nearly $400 for both the eye exam and glasses

Been going here for the last couple of years getting my glasses and contacts and I have been extremely happy with the service and the quality of the products they offer! I recently got contact lenses for the first time and the Dr was very informational and answered every question I had as we moved through the exam. I would gladly recommend this place to a friend!

The service in the back (with the Dr. And recptrece) Was good the front service for the glasses was terrible they told me multiple times i would receive the glasses same day they have an in house lab then after I paid the said it would be 3 days later they would be ready ...I came and paid wayyy more than the other places so I could get my glasses same day....not coming here again next time I'll save the money and go somewhere else since I had to wait anyway

Have been here for 2 years now & each experience has been very professional. I got both contacts & glasses & the Dr was very knowledgeable & the staff so helpful, taking the time to help me pick out glasses! My only concern is that when I was there on a Saturday, the phone was ringing off the hook & I think it would be helpful to have a staff member to just field the phone calls. I work in healthcare also & do not like to answer phones when I am with a patient...it's taking the customer service away from the person in front of you & the person on the phone! Also, Priscilla was especially kind & helpful! Highly recommend this place, great selection of glasses, almost too many to choose from!

All the staff have good customer service but Stephanie goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are satisfied. My Mother was in there last week and ordered some glasses. She had a young African American girl, help her and the girl was rude, dishonest and just plain unprofessional!!! We have come here for years and this is the first time we have encountered such unprofessional behaviour!! I'm not sure if we will be back!!! If you go here to get glasses see Stephanie or one of the other woman that work here!!!

After a tragic accident took the life of our friend, a Bradenton 28 year old mother, Stephanie and EGW provided a generous donation for a silent auction to benefit our friend's 8 month old son. I am so happy the have had Dr. Vawter as my eye doctor. She took the time to explain what was going on with my eyes and answered all of my questions. She didn't rush or seem impatient at all. She didn't cut corners or give hurried answers just to get rid of you like some doctors that I have seen. She really cares about you as a person and wants whats best for your eye health. She took the time and went out of her way to help me find the best way of setting up an appointment with an ophthalmologist to find out why my optic nerve was inflamed. She really went the extra mile to help me and for that I will ALWAYS be grateful and thankful for Dr. Vawter. Eyeglass World was great. I didn't really have any expectations, but my experience overall was super! In and out in about an hour, which included my exam, picking out my lenses, and placing my order. The eye doc was quick but thorough. Stephanie was the one who helped me place my order, and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about insurance and what was covered. I will definitely go back to Eyeglass World!

Warning. Long review. First off, the optometrist portion of this location is fantastic. Doctors are knowledgable and friendly. The rest cannot be stated for the front end customer service/sales area. At first all seemed well, and after paying for my glasses and contacts, I was informed it would be 8-10 business days. 3 weeks later, no phone call. I called the store and was informed that they were not in and would have to be reordered. Week 4. Still no word. I call the clinic again and am informed they never arrived and would have to be reordered. Courtney on the phone was nice and professional but to say I was irritated is an understatement. I called back and asked for my Rx and a refund as I would be getting them elsewhere as this was rediculous. While on the phone with me, the contacts were located. Had I not called back, they would have been reordered. I went into the store same day and customer service was abysmal. A girl was seated at the table closest to the door, with no customer in front of her, she looked at me and said nothing. Many employees had customers and I understand being busy. When I asked her where I should go to pick up contacts, she appeared irritated/confused I was talking with her and proceeded to tell me just to sit somewhere and someone would be with me. I observed a number of other employees appear irritated with the volume of customers. I waited for 22 minutes before someone was free long enough to acknowledge my presence. When I asked for the contacts that were ordered, politely, they could not be found. Thank you to the associate in the Optometrist station for knowing where they were. He located them. I was then told apparently "no one but him could read the handwriting." Needless to say I will return here to see the excellent Optometrists but will otherwise take my Rx elsewhere.

I have NEVER experienced such unprofessional behavior in my life!! A few weeks ago I called in to order contacts and was belittled and yelled at by the young girl who answered the phone, her name was ney or nai or something like that. I couldn't tell you exactly she had me so frazzled. I said I had a prescription on file and that I wanted to order, she yelled at me and said the only one on file was expired. I told her I was there recently she was extremely unprofessional!! I would Not recommend that young lady!!!!

HORRIBLE SERVICE! They cancelled 2 appointments in 2 days. The first cancellation they did call and reschedule, the second they didnt bother calling me to tell me. So i show up, i was told no doctor was there. Then tell me that they are actually 2 businesses so when i called to talk to the Manager Stephanie, she passed the buck, blames someone else, and then hangs up on me. I call back seconds later and they tell me the manager is busy. They proceed to give me the # of this other"business " and that # is a recording giving another #! Place is a joke!! I wouldn't send ANYONE there! Rude, unorganized and just plain unprofessional!

Dr was great. She was slammed the day I went but apologized for me waiting. The retail part however was a horrible and frustrating experience! I will NEVER go here again nor would I recommend anyone to go!! I originally bought a pair of glasses and brought in my own Ray bans sunglasses to have them put in lenses. I loved my glasses ! But when i got my sunglasses back, the lenses were so loose you could literally move them back and forth and were so loose fitting on my face! I asked for them to tighten them and the lady tried tightening them but bent the side of my frame leaving a very noticeable dent and on top of it my Ray Bans symbol popped out. And still were extremely loose to the point if I bent down they would fall off! I complained to the manager and they said they would replace the frame. Couple of weeks in I went to put my glasses on and when I opened my glasses one side of my frame snapped off!! I went in and they said being the fact I had a warranty they would replace the frame. But mind you, this was not my doing, I literally opened my glasses up!! They replaced the frame and after getting them the frame was bent inward on the bottom lenses part so that when I smiled my check would touch the bottom of the frame. I also could not closed them completely and they would not fit in the case. Went in to show them and all they did was bend the sides. Now my Glasses are bent and still are bent towards my face! I had asked for my money back as this whole experience has been horrible and i Hate having to go back and forth with them and the thought of having to deal with another pair frustrates me more than ever. They said the general manager is the only one who can decide that. So i will find out tomorrow!! Went home with even worse glasses than when I went in and the glasses that are not even 5 days old! Never again.

i picked up my 2 pair of glasses today very DISSAPOINTED will not go there again will not tell friends to go there and im not sure that these 458$plus 78$exan glasses wont be checked by an honest place annd returned for refund have worn glasses for 54 years and know when things are wrong and some one is full of crap dawn crosby

Customer Service was horrible. I was told my eye glasses would be ready on a certain day at a certain time. No on called to tell me lab was down. I called to ask about glasses was then told then lab was down and if they were not ready by time and date given to me someone would call me.I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL so when i called back i was told lab still down. The next day again NO ONE called me. so again i called and again was told lab still down. its been a few days now and I'm still being told lab is down when i call. Still NO ONE IS CALLING to give me any update on my glasses. I was also told they had no idea when they would be ready. Not a good way to run a business!! I will wait until my glasses are ready since i have already paid for them but, I WILL NEVER GO BACK OR REFER ANYONE to this location.

My appointment for an eye exam was at 10:30 today. It is currently 12:13pm. The doctor keeps needing help from the assistants with his computer. The assistants are doing part of the work to try and help him get caught up. I really hope he isn’t the usual eye doctor at this location for other customer’s sake. I certainly won’t be back!

Dr. Vawter was great. I told her I was planning to become a CMV driver this year and she gave me great advice for the tinting of some work sunglasses -- yellow (I assume amber is also okay) to help with the glare off of ice and snow. My insurance wouldn't pay for frames this time, so I bought cheap sunglasses through Zenni Optical (online) using the written prescription from Eyeglass World (I had asked that they make a note of my PD/pupilary distance, which Zenni needs). I was pleased to learn that they would re-lens the frames I bought from an Eyeglass World, and waited only about 40 minutes for that to be done.

Before coming to Eyeglass World we had visited two other places, but were very discouraged with poor service and less than impressive quality. Our experience here was excellent!! Courtni was extremely helpful and patient, and worked hard to find us the best glasses for the best price possible. We’ll be coming back soon for the rest of our family’s eyewear needs.

This is the best one stop place to get glasses (huge selection) and an eye exam. We’re a family of 5 and require a little more maintenance and patience for our visits. The doctors and staff are super friendly and patient...ESPECIALLY Stephanie!!! She is very professional, knowledgeable, patient, kind and always provides superior customer service, which is VERY hard to find these days!! I highly recommend them...some of us in the family have been patients and customers of theirs for almost 15 years.

When we went in to look at glasses we had to wait forever for a person to show us each pair of glasses that were locked. They would give us one pair and then walk off to handle something else. We came back the next day for an appointment, I called to let them know that I was running late for an appointment. They asked if we could make it by 6. I said yes. We were 6:03 because we had to wait for the red light in front of their business forever. THE DR LEFT BEFORE WE GOT THERE!!!! We drove an hour to get there and she left after I had called to tell her we were on our way! What a joke! We will not be back here ever!!!!

This place is horrible. Yeah they have good deals on glasses but the customer service is horrible. They assume your prescription and preferences so they can gouge money. They perform tests then tell you "oh hey it's going to be a 60 dollar co pay" after the test is done so you're stuck paying it. The safe bet is Wal-Mart. Cuz this place is absolutely the worst place to get glasses.

Dr. Elizabeth Vawter has got to be the BEST eye doctor that I've ever had. She went above and beyond to help my fiance and I. I've never had a doctor go into such depth and detail with explaining the condition of our eyes. She actually took the time to show us on her screen and explained what was going on, while being very patient and eager to help us. You can tell that optometry and helping her patients is something that she truly enjoys and was meant to do. Again, by FAR the BEST eye doctor that we've ever been to. The staff from the front were just plain rude. I was frustrated when I had to wait a long time for someone to help assist me. One of the ladies(Stephanie) was just plain sassy. This other lady as well, I don’t know her name but she just gave me plain attitude and I was being patient. Some try to be nice to them but they end up being rude. The pricing was extremely high as well. I came here a few years ago and there were different staff working there and they were nice but ever since those new workers came in we’ll it’s been disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend going if the staff will not try to change their attitude and try to work with customers .

I have Aetna insurance which allows me 300$ towards frames and lenses. I went to Lenscrafters and was quoted over 600$ for just progressive lenses with transitional darkening. I had my own frame that was new from glasses I got last year and never wore. This price was outrageous for just putting news lenses in. I went to Eyeglass world and it cost me 70$ to do what I wanted. I got the darkest transitional lenses with glare resistant no line progressive lenses and a 1 year warranty that will replace my glasses if broken, scratched etc. I feel Lenscrafters was ripping me off. I highly recommend Eyeglass world Bradenton. The lady thest helped m ed was Barbara herself and all other employees there were wonderful.

Same day service is a joke. Tuesday morning appt simple bifocal and notready until Thursday aftern4. If I I didn't need the basic glasses I would cancel my order. $78 exam, $78 glasses turned into $150 no explanation by tech just...how would you like to pay. Then she rudely pointed to a mat that explains the pricing....as I am processing spending more money...she has someone check her work on my order and the frames I picked had been put away and another frame was marked. Seriously. She made no apologizes and disregarded my complaint and question of why the delay until thursday. I left angry and have only receipts and no glasses.

TTook both of my teenage children here for contacts. We got the same doctor both times and she was really nice. Since we had to order their contact lenses, they gave us 2 months worth of contacts free of charge. Their orders were both in on time and only took about a week. Overall, they treated us great! I will be taking all of my family eye ware needs to them exclusively in the future.

There are not enough stars available to adequately describe the experience I have each and every time I visit eyeglass world. After being extremely disappointed from a prior company, I was truly blown away. I’ve been a customer for a few years now and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. Their customer service, kindness and willingness to always go the extra mile truly set them aside from other optical stores. In my years I’ve referred everyone I know and have not had one unpleasant experience. They truly care about their clients and are without a doubt the best in the business. Dr. V is the best doctor I’ve ever met, and the staff is truly exceptional. I genuinely look forward to every visit I make and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else !

My son had a really hard time with contacts and the staff took extra time with my son, two different sets of trial contacts until they found the one that worked best for him, and three different appointments until they knew he was comfortable with the contacts. Would recommend to anyone. They really went the extra mile.

I loved the treatment I received from the doctor side I would give them 5 stars. also I received great customer service from the retail side. You ask why only 1 star? I was never asked if I wanted the eyeglass protection on my glasses it was just added to my invoice. $40 extra dollars! I noticed when I got home. How many people do they do this to on a daily basis with out them noticing. I sure the sales person gets a kick back from this. They did take it off my bill but I think that is because I complained. Make sure you check your invoice!

The girls handling the front of the store PATHETIC. My wife and I searched for an hour looking for glasses. Found two frames for her , was asked 1 time from 1 girl how we were . That was it for attention. We stood with the frames obviously in our hands for 10 minutes after finally being skipped for another group that just walked in . One girl obviously was just rude and having a bad day, the other I guess just liked the other people better. What ever we drove to eyeglass world university got her glasses ordered there with friendly service. I suggest going to the one on university or just take your chances that maybe one of the people on the floor in Bradenton will feel bias towards you and want to help, Good Luck.
