I had LASIK done by Dr. Woodcock a few weeks ago and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The staff was kind, helpful, understanding and reassuring when I was nervous. They were patient and answered all my questions. The office is clean and sanitary. Dr. Woodcock did an incredible job because my vision is 20/20! If I had to do LASIK everyday to wake up with my vision, I would. I recommend this place 1000x to anyone who needs medical care or surgery.

I took my mother this morning to her apt. At Dr.Kumar office , which the buildings sits next to each other . Her apt. Was at 9:15am .. the parking lots are Over Full No Handicapped parking available anywhere.. I parked in the middle of the street walked my mother in that is on crutches and is 78 years old .. as I returned to park my car their was a space available directly across from where I took mom.. as I parked my car .. ( there was No Sign ) saying Dr. woodcock office parking Only . I parked and was rushing to get back to mom , I hear a man holler at me asking me why I parked there and saying if I work next door I’m not allowed to park here .. again the spaces say Nothing .. he appeared to be the physician Dr. Woodcock himself .. I felt very offended by his action , it was terribly uncomfortable for me to have to explain my situation in order to park and get back to my elderly mother .. if this is how he treats perfect strangers , I surely wouldn’t ever go to see him !!!! As I return to The office of Dr. Kumar & Jones .. the receptionist could tell I was frustrated and bothered. I explained what happened to her .. she said Wow ( He does that all the time ) !! If your going to be harassing people about parking spaces You need to mark them yours !! By the way he did after all that say it was Okay for me to leave my car in front of his building... after he determined I wasn’t an employee... ):

Worse experience ever. Took my grandmother there. Front desk was extremely rude, we waited for an hour, when I finally asked if they were running behind their answer was "fairly behind, yes". Then another staff member jumped in the conversation to say "no one gets out of here before at least an hour and half". You're better of going to Walmart!

4 years ago I looked for someone experienced to do my cataract surgery. I found by researching online that Dr Woodcock had done more than 45K of these surgeries! I came from Wilmington to Fayetteville 4 years ago and had Dr Woodcock do my cataract surgeries. He installed Some terrific IOLS and I had great eyesight. He let me know that I had Epiretinal Membrane (ERM) in my left eye that would have to be fixed one day. I came back 4 years later and had my ERM peel done by a wonderful and talented retina specialist surgeon DR. Wilson at Highsmith Hospital(the people at the hospital were very nice). Everything went perfect during surgery at Highsmith Hospital, and I had amazing eyesight in my left eye the next day when examined. My distortion was almost completely gone in my left eye after having this ERM problem for 33 years. Thank you Dr Wilson and Dr Woodcock !!!

Dr. Woodcock and his staff are great! I got seen super fast, the techs were friendly and helpful. Dr. Woodcock answered all of my questions and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the process. I am so glad I found a great place to take care of my families eye care needs.

Dr. Meagan G. Tipton cares about whole eye health and is truly amazing at her profession. She engagingly answers & asks questions and looks patient in the eyes, not just during the exam, but during conversation. Dr. Tipton listens closely, even if you think she didn't hear. She really is a medical professional you can trust with your life. I definitely trust her with mine. You'll have to become a patient to find out what that truly means. I'm not giving away all of her dazzling trustworthy secrets

I have waited a year to write this review. I have gone back and forth on whether or not to write it, but I’m back at my regular optometrist’s office today, one year later, to get an eye exam. It has been a long time coming. Some years ago, Dr. Woodcock performed PRK on my son.. positive experience. Last year my youngest son and I decided to try the optometry side when we learned that our new employer benefit vision plan was not accepted at the office where we had been getting eye exams for years. On appointment day, we were in the office for three hours. The techs had gone to lunch, had car trouble, and had to get a tow and an Uber. It happens. We got our eye exams, and I got a trial pair of contacts which were a bit of an adjustment from my previous prescription. Again, it happens. I ordered my contacts in my new prescription from the optical shop on site, and they came in a short time later. Here is where the big problems began. I put my new contacts in and immediately couldn’t see well at all. I work out of town and tried to handle as much of the situation as I could over the phone and through my son as he was home for summer break.. My son was 21 at the time. When I realized that calling and handling things through my son didn’t seem to be getting me results, I drove from work out of town to the office to try to get things fixed in person. My hope was to get the same brand, etc. of contacts that I had been given at my initial exam. When I got to the office, I went back to the optical shop for assistance since this is where I received the contacts that weren’t working for me. I spoke with an older lady there who said she was familiar with my situation, but she said to me something like... Oh, Honey, you need to come back another day. The person working on your problem is out for the week, and she’s the one who can help you. I explained to her that I had just driven from out of town, so she told me to have a seat saying there were several people in front of me and that I would have to wait quite a while for them to hopefully find someone who could help me. Remember my first wait at the office was three hours and there is now no guarantee that they’ll find anyone to help me on this day, so I made the decision at that moment to walk out rather than to get upset. I was tired and had a bad headache from the problems with my vision and just didn’t feel that I had the capacity to deal with this at the time. As I was walking away, I said nothing and didn’t make a scene at all but heard the older lady calling behind me that I shouldn’t expect to be able to cut line in front of those waiting ahead of me. Really?!! About two weeks or so later and after about a month of very substandard vision, my son was able to get for me the same contacts that the tech had given me during my eye exam but not before the older lady at the optical shop made sure to give him a message for me. This woman told my son to tell me that she was sorry that I had gotten upset but that she was not sorry that she did not allow me to cut in line in front of the people who were ahead of me. There are no words.... Livid doesn’t quite cover it. Please tell me in what reality is it ok for a professional to correct someone through their 21-year-old son? And I NEVER wanted to cut in front of others. Oh, as an added bonus I still couldn’t see with the new contacts. Weeks later I had the genius idea to think that maybe my contacts were mislabeled as far as right and left went. I put the right contact in my left eye and vice versa and realized that miracles really do still happen. My vision was so much better but still not great. Fast forward to 2018. You may be wondering why I waited an entire year before writing this review. Well, my son and I just got our yearly eye exams. We went back to the optometrist we’ve been going to for years, and once again miracles still happen. It’s been a year, but I can see so much better than I had the past year. So can my son. Never again, Guys. I'd rather pay out-of-pocket.

I was told about Dr. Woodcock by a client in 2010. Who was so happy with her cataract surgery. I kept his name and phone number. She I was told I needed surgery I came from Pineherst to Dr. Woodcock. I started wearing glasses in the 2nd grade. When it was discovered that I could not see the big E on the eye chart. The day after my first surgery I was seeing 20/30, now I'm am seeing 20/15!!! The day after my second surgery I am seeing 20/20! This is truly a miracle, and made me cry.

I had broken my glasses and was blind for a few days trying to find new ones. The people here were able to get me seen and have an eye examine quickly with little wait times. Doctor Phillips was very helpful in getting me taken care of and ordering my glasses. It felt nice to be treated by people who cared more about my health and problems than trying to get my money. I am set on coming back to visit them in the future when I need eye care.

Daniel Turner

I was recommended to Dr. Woodcock's office for Lasik, and I'm glad I went. Not only was I able to ditch these annoying glasses after 20+ years, the procedure was painless and fast. I was never able to put contacts in, so the thought of a laser in my eye was insane. The staff put me at ease (I'm sure the meds didn't hurt), and I was seeing 20/15 within 24 hours. Great folks, and I'm so happy I trusted my vision to this office.

My mom went here for surgery on a recomendation from a friend. She reported that Dr Woodcock was rude to her. I went with her for her follow up appointment. They were 2 hours behind schedule. No one spoke to us about the delay, no one apologized for wasting our time. When my mom was finally seen, it was the PA "Evette" not the Dr. Evette was very rude to me and my mother. She even gave me advice that was not asked for nor welcomed nor was any of her business. My mom is on oxygen so a 2 hr delay is a big deal for her. I have read other reviews and it seems like elderly people have had similar experiences here. I guess compassion is not a high priority for Dr Woodcock and his staff. I recommend going to a different practice. I have never been spoken to like this from anyone I do business with. It was shocking.

I can not say enough about Doctor Woodcock and his wonderful staff. I began with Carolina Vision when I had a detached retina. That surgery turned out great. Since then I have had two cataract surgeries. Doctor Woodcock is wonderful. Now my two sisters and my daughter have had surgeries performed by Doctor Woodcock. We all love him and his staff. Thank you Carolina Vision for caring.

Spoke w/ Stephanie about eye surgery for my father - we were confused on a lot of things after he left because I was not able to come with him to his appointment. Stephanie explained everything we needed to know and made us feel so much better!!!!! Looking forward to getting my fathers surgery done, so he can live well again.

I went for an exam this morning, and after sitting in a waiting room for 30 minutes I was finally called up front to CHECK IN.. Then found out they had not even verified my insurance yet.. Obviously, I left.. Doctor's offices need to be more considerate of other people's time. No office needs to be running that far behind.

Valerie Smitt

Just wow! Dr. Woodcock treated my father this past year... I was beyond pleased with the service my dad received. He is a veteran who has lost much of his immediate vision due to the diagnosis of very bad cataracts... no one understands what it meant to my dad AND me to have such proficient healthcare and treatment from a doctor like Woodcock. He gave my dad the confidence and independence he once had back! Thank you so much to everyone at CAROLINA VISION! If you want the best eye care, go to Dr Woodcock!

deb morgan

Watch out for this one they will tell you one price but when you go for your surgery you get hit with another charge for the other facility. And when you try to speak to them about the issue Debbie is very rude doesn't care whether they did not tell you of the extra charge and only states she sorry "you misunderstood". there was no misunderstanding if you were not told about the charges wow someone get her a dictionary

Sarah Ruiz

(Original review 2 stars, since been edited). Ive been a customer here for probably about 6 years. I most often took issue with the front desk staff, most recently while trying to make an appt by phone. I finally decided to leave my review and leave the practice. However upon doing so, I was contacted by the practice manager who wanted to hear my experience first hand and fix the problem...which really doesn't happen most places. Apparently Dr. Woodcock himself wanted to know what had happened even though I've never met him personally. I see Dr. Phillips who is great and the medical staff was great. The practice really wants to FIX any issue you ever have. I'll be staying put for now and hopefully for the long haul. The BEST part of that entire building is the optical shop. Those ladies are the nicest people! True customer service.

Dr woodcock acted in a very professional , friendly, nolagble manor ,during my treatment.

Patient BEWARE!!!!!! This place lies to you about the charges and then wam you get hit with a large charge the day of your surgery. I was there when they told my father of the charge to get his surgery and then the day he went to the surgery there was another large charge for their facility. no one told us of the other charge and when you ask Carolina Vision they deny and state it was your misunderstanding. these people are taking advantage of the elderly and should be stopped by a medical board. I was also told by another gentleman in the lobby they didn't tell him of the other charge either. Shame on you Debbie for lieing and stealing from good citizens of Fayetteville Bet you post another response (I mean lie) to my review to just call you but we know you are not bending on your charges and it was our misunderstanding......Please tell God why you rip off my father and obvious others

Jametra McIver

I called to get help getting my daughter an appointment and someone by the name of Lizette answered and was very rude. I will never call again for any services. She needs classes in customer service.

Jon J

The doctors and eye care staff are great here. What makes the experience poor is the women up front, especially the ones running the check-in. They are always rude, slow and have a cold demeanor. They never call the day before or anything to remind you of an appointment but if you call they are snarky and mean. When you check-in they act like it's an inconvenience. If you ask a question they look at you like you are an idiot and don't give you a very clear answer. The latest appointment you can get here is at 2 but don't expect to be seen until maybe 3 and don't expect to get out of the office until 4:30...and this is for an appointment that is at 2. I'm pretty sure they over schedule. I guess this isn't that big of a deal with people that don't have 9 to 5 jobs. A word of advice to the receptionists, a smile and respectful tone goes a long way.

An awesome place for Lasik! Was looking for someone close to Ft Bragg to do my surgery and I'm glad I came here

Troy Asher

Want to say - this place runs so efficiently , our technician was thorough and the nice counselor , really helped me and my mom understand the whole surgery procedure!! Dr Woodcock knows how to take care of you and your eyes - thank u!!!

Tavares Hunter

Dr. Woodcock and his staff are absolutely wonderful professionals and even better people. You feel like you get the Disney World treatment; which is outstanding customer service. Its a great family environment! Dr. Woodcock is the Michael Jordan of LASIK and that's guaranteed greatness!

Original post (1star): I did not actually get to have an appointment so my rating is based only off of showing up for my appointment and being turned away. I was told by the medical receptionist that Tricare Standard would not cover a routine eye exam. That is not true. I have a fact sheet from Tricare in front of me that says as an Active Duty beneficiary I am entitled to one eye exam per year with Standard. I tried to explain this to the woman but she wouldn't listen so I left. I have updated my rating based on Carolina vision Center reaching out to me. They apologized for the mistake and said they have re-trained their staff on Tricare policies. I agreed to make a second attempt at an appointment and I was given an appointment time that was convenient for me. Thanks to the vision Center for taking the time to look in to my review and taking the extra steps to correct this issue with the staff.

Best care available. Always a long wait but worth the wait.

Leigh Penney

I stop in to get some info on being a patient here I had some questions since I have Tricare which can require you to have some things. I dealt with the rudest Lady I've come across since pcsing here. Tracy at the front desk seemed to have no tolerance for any question. After her running jet hands through her hair and grinding her teeth I asked to speak with manager I was told Lady I am the manager. I just walked out which made me sad because I've been told the Doctors are great there.

My husband and I both recently had appointments at Carolina Vision Care, and both had a completely positive experience, from start to finish. Each member of the staff was organized and efficient, as well as excellent communicators. We both felt respected and genuinely cared for, as patients of the practice, from the moment we walked through the door. Our experience with Dr. Phillips was also very positive. His exam was thorough and his explanations of the exam and of the findings were careful, caring and precise. We were both genuinely and thoroughly pleased with our experience at Carolina Vision Care, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of a QUALITY eye care provider.

Cassius Williams

My experience with Dr. Woodcock and the entire staff at Carolina Vision Center was exceptional. Their level of professionalism was only surpassed by their expertise and quality of care. I could not be happier with my enhanced vision and the increased quality of my normal patterns of life. My initial apprehension for getting prelex has given way to an overwhelming recommendation to anyone to see if they qualify for such a procedure by Dr. Woodcock and his staff.

Michael Halstead

This place is so slow and have no clue what they are doing, change doctors all the time and woodcock is one trick pony who has no clue what he is doing he is rude and a bully. My wife refuses to find a better doctor so we end up wasting hours here with a bunch of idiots.

Denise Acorn

I was extremely pleased with the manner in the way Dr. Woodcock and his staff took care of me during both cataract surgeries! I would let Dr. Wood cock and staff do it all over again if needed! Kudos for victory in operations well done!!!

Cristin Wise

Had a great experience getting my Lasik done with Dr. Woodcock. The coordinator was amazing, called me back the day I voiced an interest and had my surgery scheduled within a month. I couldn't be happier with the service from all of the support staff.

Brittany Savageau

I saw Dr. Woodcock and my experience was fantastic from the moment I walked in the door until I left. The staff was very professional and friendly. I've been to other offices in the area, and not one of them compares to here! I highly recommend!

Erica Sanchez

I was very pleased with the front desk girls they were very polite and professional. My issue was with the old lady in the ophthalmologist station. My father had an appointment in June he went through a program which gives him a free visit and prescribed glasses. Its been 2 months already and nobody had reached me to let me know about my fathers glasses. I recently called to ask on the status of his glasses. I spoke with the old lady at the ophthalmologist station she claimed that my father had picked up his glasses. I explained to her numerous times that nobody called me to let me know anything so it was impossible for him to drive to Fayetteville by himself. First she had said that she spoke to him then she left him a voicemail. I asked her to verify the number on his chart and of course it was my number. We stay an hour away from Fayetteville and my father does not drive so it was just crazy to me that she would say that. Then she made it seem like we had lost the glasses and just wanting some new ones. She was very rude on the phone. She said she couldn't do anything for me it was out of her hands. I asked well did you misplaced them? did you accidentally give them to someone else? She said no. I was back and forth on the phone with this lady. It was very shocking to know that she was the manager. It was very unprofessional of her to tell me she couldn't do anything she was no help at all. She has very poor customer service. The last conversation I had with her before I could even say anything she hanged up on me I had to call her back. She said I can not do anything for you and make sure you look around in the house for the glasses. This is ridiculous!! I cant look for something I never had????!!!!! She was no help!!!
