Dear Patients and Potential Patients:
The review below, signed by a Christopher Erickson, is a scam, or forgery or both.
The incidents described in this false review never occurred and never could have occurred because I do not run my practice as the writer of the review describes.
No patient has ever been billed for a missed appointment -- not one time and not ever. Some doctors may do this, but I consider billing for missed appointments to be a repulsive business practice.
We rarely send delinquent accounts to collection, and then only after six monthly mailed statements have gone unanswered. Any patient in financial difficulties can work out any good-faith payment plan -- even $1.00 a month -- and his or her account will not be delinquent. That patient can continue to receive care in my office exactly as if the account had been paid in full.
In the extremely rare instance when a patient is abusive, I do not ask or expect my staff to escort them out of the office: I do that myself.
My office is a quiet, friendly comfortable place, and has been so for the 27 years I have been in practice. There is no yelling, shouting or bellowing. Each patient is treated with respect and dignity, and each patient received care of the highest professional standard.
It is a mystery to me why this "review" was posted at all. No patient named Christopher Erikson has been seem in my practice since 1990, yet this "review" was posted in 2009. In any case, once something like this is posted on the Internet, it is impossible to remove it.
It is deplorable that I am compelled to defend myself against such slander as appears in this phony "review"
