This place is amazing!! The pianists are fantastic players, very funny, and can deal with the chaos that accompanies dueling pianos. The drinks were great, standard pricing. And the bartenders handled my bill perfectly! This is my favorite bar in SLC.

Fun place. I thought the cover charge was weird. Haven't had to pay that to go to a bar for years. Drinks were good. The girl playing the piano was so talented and beautiful. The other dudes were great too and very entertaining.

Like, maybe I shouldn’t compare this place to the other piano bars in SLC, but OMG at least the other one puts a decent amount of alcohol in their drinks AND they have good talent at the keys. I mean, these singer/pianists are good. It’s just unfortunate that they have to work here. Make some good drinks and then the talent seems better. And don’t get me going on the terrible wait staff. Not good. Take my order, put some alcohol in it, and entertain me!

DO NOT GO HERE FOR KARAOKE!! Went on a Sunday and again on a Tuesday night and was very disappointed both times. The place wasn’t busy, only about three other small groups there who we eventually sat and drank with. We were there for well over two hours and only one person in our group ever got to sing a song. The karaoke DJ was awful. The bouncer and bartenders were awesome and kind!

Karaoke night was a lot of fun. Be warned, most of the people there on a Monday night are insanely talented, so you'll have to definitely not care how you sound or what they think. Unless you have a lot of talent too, then this is a great place for Monday night karaoke. I also hear they do dueling pianos which would be fun. Also, the pork tacos are great!

Okay bar. No food and no sense of humor. The staff was nice, but the performers couldn't take a joke. We asked them to play Randy Newman's "Short People" song and the performer literally compared it to white supremacy. So be careful what song you ask for.

We arrived early (for a night out) just after 9pm. The place was about 1/2 full. By 9:45 is was packed. After being seated it took about 20 minutes to get our first set of drinks, after the first round however our waitress was very attentive. The mixed drinks were really good and they have some unique items I have not seen anywhere else. They also serve ciders which is a real plus in my book, my wife was disappointed though because they do not serve wine. My biggest complaint is about how loud the place is. They call it a "social club" but it's impossible to talk to anyone unless you are yelling in their ear or if there is a break in the music. They have the volume turned up so high you can't even understand the words being sung most of the time. The music & singing was about average, enjoyable but nothing special. If someone else wanted to go back here I would not object, but I would not suggest it myself.

I normally don't like venues like this too much, but my party did have quite a lot of fun. The artists didn't seem to like any of my song recommendations, even though I tipped very well, but they played a ton of variety and great stuff that was very well liked. They can do rap. They can do heavy rock stuff. On a piano. Yeah. They are that good.

Insanely fun atmosphere! While some may say that not all duelers are the same, I agree, but the match up we had was amazing and full of energy. Time flew. Bar staff was great and made drinks quickly. The server was on top of things as well.

Had my 10 year high school reunion here and we had a blast. We were able to bring in our own food and the bartenders made us a special shot. The music was fun and sounded great. It was a wonderful place to meet up with people I hadn’t seen in years and reminisce.

The bartenders are great, the crowd is friendly but I would avoid going on Monday since most of the Karaoke singers are usually older single gentleman who hog the stage and don't really share the mic.

Quaint little dualing piano bar. The staff was very polite and accomadating. The acoustics aren't the best. Sometimes it was hard to hear the lyrics. Good variety of genres and a little risque if the audience encourages it. We had a great time. Will definitely be back. Prices were very reasonable.

This place has changed over the years. I have found this place is now more intiment when compared to other options in the area. Though service for drink orders on the weekends is very slow. Also they have reduced the number of performers so there is less variety on the weekends.

Had a great time the night before st patties day. Several talented musician's, really getting into the songs. Way more than just a dueling piano bar, as they bring drums, bass, guitars, and even fiddles in if they have the musician there to play it. Plus lots of unique shots and cocktails and effecient staff. Highly recommend

The Irish Root Beer was awesome. The instruments were so loud you couldn't hear the singing by the entertainers. You also couldn't hold any type of conversation because you couldn't hear anything over the music. It could have been where we were seated, but it was not that enjoyable. The wait staff even had to ask you to clarify your order multiple times as they couldn't hear anyone either.

This place is so much fun!!! Don't let the idea of a "dueling piano bar" scare you away. They can and will play just about any song you can think of, which is part of the reason the Tavernacle is so much fun. Oh and they also have great drinks and food prices, especially for a bar!

SUCH AN AWESOME PLACE. There were two pianist playing and it was fantastic! They sang together, competed with one another, and really interacted with the audience. I had such a fun night celebrating my friend's birthday! They made it special for her and pulled her up on stage. They kept saying happy birthday throughout the night! It was nice to feel that they really wanted to help make it a fun night for her! The drinks were a little pricey since a lot of them came in smaller glasses. We went to have a good night so it didn't stop us much. There was such a wide range of music that was played! I was very impressed with my first time here. I will be returning!!

The atmosphere of the bar is alright. Pricing sucks though considering all their two part drinks are served with only 1 oz of alcohol, but they charge the same price as other establishments serving 1.5 oz. It adds up quick when you are 3-4 drinks in and still feel nothing. Karaoke is a joke. I do not recommend coming for it. The karaoke is a total example of classism. The KJ skips people for tips. As a result it is just a shady situation where if you aren't dropping $10+ every song, you will almost never sing. On top of that his selection isn't the best, and he generally does nothing once someone starts singing to fine tune the sound. Which is the purpose of tipping in the first place.

If you want an irreverent birthday song, and a good giggle, you found your place. To top it off, the performance is SO much fun. Every time we go we are happy to find talented musicians and good drinks. Even with a drink (or two) the musicians can sing just about any genre of music and on key! (Or on key enough for a room full of people ready to relax and enjoy a drink themselves.)

Excellent dueling piano bar! I have been here multiple times, and it's always a blast! The way it works is you can tip for a song. But if some.one else does not like that song they can out tip you and stop it! Its a great time, they offer a wide selection of beer, wine, and hard liquor as well as seasonal custom cocktails. They don't offer much in the way of food. But do have options for chips and salsa. Parking is also free around back after they open at about 8.

Service. Service .Service? We loved the venue and the show, but drinks were hard to come by. I would have rated 5 stars ⭐️ if we felt taken care of. You take care of us and we will take care of you. We were charged a 20% auto gratuity and the service wasn’t warranted. I noticed our server standing around, yet we ended up skipping his service since it was shoddy.

It was my first time here this weekend. We had a night without kids and it was a blast! The bar staff was friendly and very attentive. The bouncer was funny and the entertainment was amazing! Great atmosphere, very talented and upbeat musicians. We didn't want to leave. Needless to say we will be coming back on our next date night! Oh and can't forget the tasty drinks! The peach long island was my favorite!

First time here. I dont know how I lucked out, but it was the soft opening of them serving food as well as drinks. The drink selection was plentiful and had something for everyone. Basics were solid, and some unique things as well (noticed a few off menu items ad well, I'll have to ask the server next time). We also tried the food, the burger was honestly one of the best burgers I have had in a long while, and the sweet potato fries were incredible. Then there is the entertainment. Holy s*** these guys were on point and beyond funny. This was the most fun I have had in forever. I don't know why it has taken me so long to come here, but I will become a regular starting now!

Out of all the bars and nightlife out here in downtown SLC I would highly recommend this above many! The Tavernacle Social Club has such a cool and unique atmosphere. They have great theme nights like karaoke and people are super friendly. Great drinks as well! I will definitely be back for more.

Food was good, drinks ok, the problem was the piano singers. They literally chose bad songs to play so people would pay more tips to stop them from playing. At every piano bar in the country people are up dancing with every song. Singing with every song. People were trying to talk over the screaming pianists because they weren’t interested in singing the terrible songs and not a single person wanted to dance. Occasionally a good song but maybe 1 to every 4 mediocre or just plain bad songs. Disappointed!

I feel like this bar has alot of potential. Really great setup and nice workers but the pianists that i listened to for the particular night were just really loud and not very good singers. Maybe because i expected to come for the enjoyment of the piano. Instead i got the yelling and overemphasis on crowd involvement. This piano bar is definitely more for entertaining a drinking crew.

They just started Serving food tonight 5/31/19 and I’m one of three to try the bacon burger and its amazing. The restaurant is called steyk center. The flavor of the burger is very juicy. Go try out the starter menu and give them good feed back so they can keep making heat food. Something I think they give an option for a garlic buger
