All Jr. High & high school kids' art. But they're all better than me, and some are downright impressive. Currently (March 2018) no entry fee. Note the hours currently are 10-4 Tue-Fri, Saturday 1-4. Closed Sun & Mon.

I've lived near Coos Bay for almost 20 years and this is the first time I've had a chance to go to the art museum thanks to a friend who recommended it. It was a great find. Exquisite art and very helpful curators. Amazing how many talented artist in our area. I would recommend stopping there.

Fabulous and varied displays of international quality artworks in many media. Exquisite Art Deco period building clad in beautiful marbles ... Lovely marble floors, magnificent turned wood bannisters, elevator for ease of access to second floor of galleries and classroom. Frequent classes and demo days.

Came to Coos Bay on a Monday to see the Prefontaine sites. Museum was closed but someone let me in the backdoor to see the Prefontaine room. Don't miss it if you are here for him. Lots of memorabilia you can't see anywhere else! Didn't see the rest of the art museum but it seemed nice

Incredibly knowledgable and friendly employee. The building is historic, and the Prefontaine room was incredibly inspiring. The local (PNW) artist work was diverse and unique. Overall a great trip.

Don't miss this delightful, well curated museum. It is just a few blocks off of highway 101 and easy to find. The gallery has a rotating schedule of various local and international artists. Upstairs are additional gallery space and some permanent collections. Well worth the stop.

So this museum can be quite incredible, but sadly with only 4 hours open all weekend long only on Saturday 1 pm till 4 pm. Closed Sunday and Monday then open weekdays Tuesday thru Friday 10am till 4 pm. Having come to town with friends from Portland and Seattle looking to get vibe of area to do a co op gallery.. this was was very disappointing as it was closed maybe more people local as well as tourists would check it out if it was open times people/kids were off that work and/or go to school.

Beautiful museum!

Went there today. Had a very poor experience. Was treated like a third work intruder. The employee there was extremely rude and disrespectful to me. Never again will I step foot in there again.
