This place is a lot smaller than I expected but since it's specific to the city I guess that makes sense. Had a cool historical log cabin that was discovered recently and showed how they lived back then. Also, they had a massive fresnel lens from one of the lighthouses which was beautiful. It took us only about an hour to go through here and most of it is reading so it wouldn't be enjoyable to young children.

It's small size, is packed with really well done historical and naval exhibits. If you are interested in history both specific to Kittery or what life was like in a time period you can get a lot from their self guided exhibits and book collection.

The was the perfect impromptu stop. Popped in to stretch our legs during a long trip and we're instantly charmed by how well this local attraction was curated. From colonial artifacts to personal accounts in recent history, we were impressed. The kids loved the scavenger hunt because it was just challenging enough to keep them searching. Thank you to the staff!
