Here we offer you the feddbacks of real people like you who used the services and products of Robinson Film Center (Movie Theater) in the state of Louisiana.
At present the firm receives a rating of 4.8 over 5 and that rating has been calculated on 222 reviews.
As you can see its rating is basically the highest, and it's based on a very high number of scores, so we may think that the evaluation is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they are satisfied, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to place scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater is included in the category of Movie theater.
Fabulous small theater seating for the best films anywhere from Atlanta to Dallas.
This is THE independent movie theater for the area. We have driven to Dallas before they opened to see the kind of movies they show. They have wonderful programs and an excellent restaurant. It's a great place for a date night. They are a non-profit and you can become a member. Look for camps in the summer. Street parking.
Nice theater - staff is less than friendly, both at the front counter and the upstairs bistro.
Just AWESOME every one should go!
Drinks, food, movies. All you could want in downtown Shreveport
Great Downton Abbey Brunch and movie.
Excellent place, events, people, food, atmosphere is awesome, love it
Such a great theater, for new and old films...
One of the Gems of Shreveport. Highly recommend. Bistro is good as well.
I liked the theater and selection of movies but it is a theater where people talk (not in whispers) to each other during the movie. Not really what I look for in a indie film experience.
Beautiful place, wonderful staff
I'm from out of town and this theatre came highly recommended. The seating isn't the most comfortable, but the atmosphere is great. There is a delicious restaurant upstairs.
Field trip there today and the kids absolutely loved it!
Fun to eat and dine with others
It was a good movie and quiet atmosphere
A city treasure. They let you dine in the theater and the food from Abby Singer's is divine. I love the creative movie themed menu. The creative cocktails like the. Clock work blood orange mimosa and the Cabana boy are my favorite drinks. They have one of the best burgers in town called the "Royale with cheese'" my second favorite is the seafood burger. I have enjoyed every meal. They show independent films and serve local beer for the theater. Event space available upstairs.
Just saw "Darkest Hour". Fabulous movie and surroundings. Love the seats!
AWESOME!
A real gem we have
Had to move back to Shreveport and so glad this place has opened. Classy theater and bistro for those looking for good film and culture. I knew they had style when I saw the menu had a Royale with Cheese. They also offer film/theater camps for kids and contribute in other ways to the community. Thanks RFC for becoming my second living room and letting me drink beer in your favorite chair!
Love this theater! So nicely redone offering selections you cannot find just anywhere. Comfy seating.
Very enjoyable.
Wonderful locally owned business! Featuring Major Hollywood movies as well as supporting local artist! Also Abby Singer's Bistro, great food and a nice bar! Very nice employees, very clean and many special events! Just enjoyed, International Cinema Series, Agave:The Spirit of a Nation! With ticket very enjoyable dinner and tequila tasting! Very nice to carry someone to dinner and a movie(date night)! Highly Recommend!
A jewel! Please go! We're fortunate to have this in our region. Cozy-comfortable theatre and clean! Friendly service too. Just go upstairs and eat at Abby Singers overlooking Texas St. Will be back.
The Robinson is a wonderful facility. Great movies and you can bring food and drink into the theater.
Good place to see movies that sometimes don't make it to the normal theater runs. Popcorn is more healthy than standard theaters, so you might not like that part. ;). Just have them saturate it with butter and Tony's and it's delicious.
I had a great late lunch at the bistro and will definitely return!
It was my first time visiting and will definitely not be my last
cool theater. diverse showings. not expensive. adult food and drinks available. community outreach.
This was my 1st time to visit. I was so impressed with the staff. The seating room for movies was extremely nice. We enjoyed a great meal before the movie. Cant wait to go back.
Small theater but the month of May you can get free tickets. We saw Tully and it was such a good movie.
Awesome venue
INTERESTING AND UNIQUE PLACE FOR FOR A MOVIE ,FOOD AND DRINKS. HOPE TO RETURN OFTEN. THANKS FOR THE MATINEE WITH THE GRANDCHILDREN.
I love thk feeling of "home" when I'm there. The employees are fun to talk with, the movies are really good, the closeness of fellow movielovers. The restaurant is just right--with a gifted chef! Thank you.
Great place For cocktails and a movie
Nostalgic, beautiful, and unique! Please visit and keep this place alive!
I love The Robinson. Great independent films
Wonderful experience and awesome food!
Movie eas good. Food was noy very good.
Great theater, I'm a huge fan of movies from the 40s and 50s and this is the place in town to see them. Seating is nice and fluffy and the staff seems knowledgeable.
This place is a hidden gem in Downtown Shreveport. Great movies and events. Five star dining at Abby Singer's bistro. A wholly unique experience that will delight you at every turn. I never miss a chance to go here.
Great place to see movies and get dinner. The will feature local and award winning films. Comfy seats as well.
First time visiting this place and loved every minute of it! Attended the screening of Mantagi/ Maya/ M.I.A. The seating was spacious and comfortable. Never got a snack but the snack bar had lots to choose from. The temperature in the theater was pleasant and the restrooms were easily accessible! Will definitely be going back!!
I first went to the Robinson in the Fall of 2015 after one of my favorite English teachers could not stop praising it during class. As a lover of movies, I made it my mission to watch a movie there as soon as possible. As soon as I walked in, I knew that I would love it. It is a small theater with only two screens, but it is by far the cleanest and best looking theater I have been to in Louisiana. The Robinson has taken advantage of every bit of space its relatively small building has to offer, and I think it is wonderfully laid out. There is even a small lounge area on the bottom floor where you can sit and discuss the movie you have just watched. The theaters themselves are wonderful! They are large enough to feel spacious without being so large as to feel like you are too far from the screen. The screens themselves are bright with vibrant colors and a clear picture. In fact, I would wager that the picture you see at the Robinson will look better than pictures in some of the national theater chains. Sound has always been great with voices coming in clearly without being drowned out by cranked up bass or background noises. I've seen many reviews claiming that the staff was less than polite, but every time I have gone, the service I received was friendly. But I must say, if the comments about the service are making you hesitant to visit, do not let them deter you because I believe everyone should come watch films here. When it comes to film selection, I am always pleased to see that the Robinson is offering smaller movies that larger cinemas are ignoring and replacing with big name films. Ironically, the movies I have watched at the Robinson have been better than the majority of movie offerings from the big names recently. I have yet to be disappointed by the films I have seen here. The Robinson seems to celebrate cinema itself instead of just making the most profit, which is evident when you view the movie lineup. I'll end my review by saying this: The Robinson Film Center is hands down the best theater I have visited in Louisiana. Everything from the facade, to the interior, to the movie selection, to the theaters themselves shows that the Robinson cares about creating the best movie-going experience possible. Do yourself a favor and take the time to visit this theater. I'm about to visit again right now!
Went to see the Elvis documentary. Disappointing that race had to be the main issue. Elvis Presley was not a racist. Never even mentioned the start here in Shreveport...seemed to be a leftist film pushing racism.
Great time and we will be back
Very comfortable theater. Good food in Abby Singers Bistro. Great overall experience!
Great environment, friendly staff and awesome movies! The Robinson's atmosphere is perfect for the fun and interesting indie films that are regularly shown. If you're looking for a bite to eat before a movie, Abby Singers, the bistro upstairs, always impresses.
Simply tremendous.
Nice theater and great restaurant. Food is amazing. The films they show are unique to the area. Glad to have it here. But I really miss the monthly cult movie screenings that was the "Friday Night Freakout". That to me made the theater.
Until the City cleans up its homeless issues, its not safe. I was followed from my car to the Theater, harassed for money and my water bottles. I ended up dropping one, he reacted like a mad animal lunging for it and stealing it from me. I honestly considered it a loss and did not fight to get it back, plus he left shortly after technically stealing my water. Safety first.
A beautiful venue to enjoy a delicious meal, or a cozy and modern theatre to take in a great film, the Robinson Film Center checks all the boxes for friendly, fantastic, fun!
Clean and vomfy. Great movies and friendly staff
Gem of Shreveport
Great little theater and bistro to enjoy a date or night off. Clean and well maintained. Comfortable theater seating, up to date sound systems and perfect viewing screens. Restroom well kept too. Never met a sour employee there, always greeted by someone that sincerely appreciate my patronage.
Clean, attractive setting. Draws a trendy crowd. Gourmet food. Great happy hour
The nicest theatre I've been to. Comfortable seats, and clean environment.
Excellent theater that brings a diverse selection of films to Shreveport, Louisiana.
Wow, the service & drinks & ambience at the 2nd floor bar/restaurant (Abby Singers Bistro) were unbeatable. Bonus: If you get Claire as your server you’re golden ☺️
Loved 'Amazing Grace'
I didn't give it 5 stars b/c they don't always serve food & drink when I want it (Like today, Sunday) Great place, tho, with extraordinary people
The Robinson Film Center is a world-class cinema showing the best in international, independent, and classic movies with the extra added attraction of Abby Singer’s Bistro with delicious food and the best dining view in Shreveport-Bossier.
Great place to see a movie!
Love the set up ! Looks very nice and very clean !
Popcorn is a little sub par, but it's a great place to catch movies that aren't shown at 'name brand' theaters. Comfortable seating. Good candy selection in concessions. Easy to buy tickets online or in the box office. Very clean facilities. Cosy place. I believe the entire building is wheel chair accessible. Hosts special events. There's a great restaurant upstairs and space to rent for events. Parking is a major downside, like most downtown spots. If after 5pm, street parking is free despite the meters, but before 5 pm the only free parking is their 10 spots behind the building. There are two spots in front, but they are governed by a new meter app? Very confusing, I recommend always coming after 5pm or on the weekends simply for the ease of parking.
Robinson Film Center is always top notch whether films, food or drinks.
Such a small, quaint place without the craziness and crowds of typical cinemas
Bistro theater, good service
Went here for a party. It was great! I'd love to go back and enjoy a beer and a movie. Service there was great!
The Robinson is a pure treasure. An evening of Abby Singer 's and a movie is such a great use of your time. I love "discovering" movies there that I might never see otherwise, and I have never ever had a disappointing meal there, either.
great food and old skool movies are entertaining
Always great films in a fun and clean theatre
Best place to watch .movies
Really the center of the Shreveport arts world. Terrific, award winning films that any movie junkie will appreciate. Their programming is excellent with dinners and speakers adding value to your ticket price. Also, join as a member and get a discount on tickets and concessions - totally worth it! Sincerely, a member since 2010.
I do not go to the movies that much, but when l do, l want to learn something, so l like non-fiction stories. On average l go to the movies about once every 3 or 4 years. I like that you keep your facility clean, so you also get 5 stars for that as well. I do not like movies where there is anything that is bad or destroyed. There are so many people who are needy, if producers have that kind of money to destroy something like Maybe a car, wouldn't it be better to donate that car to a needy family or person, instead of adding it to the junkyard and adding to our pollution problem. I find it this being very wasteful and not entertaining.
Great place to see a movie.
I was in downtown Shreveport with my girlfriend a few weeks ago. We stopped by this theater to watch the recent Jack Black movie Bernie. We really enjoyed the experience. The facility was one of the cleanest theaters I've frequented in a while.
At RFC for Heels and Reels tonight with seven incredible women to view The Devil Wears Prada. Fun evening at one of my favorite places in all of this region.
Wonderful experience. Became a member. Will be back!!!!
Love to have a cocktail while watching a film. Food is really good as well.
We very much enjoyed the documentary, "The Plastic Ocean" and the Q & A. Very eye-opening with excellent filming of real occurrences.
My first trip to Shreveport since I was a kid. What a gem I discovered in the Robinson! Wonderful films not available anywhere in the area and a great restaurant upstairs. You gotta try it.
Really cool little cinema. Off beat movies only, but still really good.
Great place to have a special event. The food was delicious and the staff very accommodating.
Best place in town as cultural life regards. Its restaurant is astoundingly modern, its beef excellent.
Wine and movies
Interesting place, one must experience to see what it was like to be in an old theatre.
Had my 40th Birthday Party here it was amazing
Enjoyed myself, very nice facility.
Nice clean theater. Interesting movies.
Wedding day! I will post the overall experience. I anticipate it will be great!
Great seats in theater.
Wonderful film and awesome food!
Great place for movies & food
Great food and unique movie experiences. A hidden Shreveport Gem!
Found this gem of a place on a weekend getaway it was so awesome.
I like it
We love this theater. Awesome staff, great entertainment, comfy seating. Have thus far gotten to see classics such as Wizard of Oz, Rocky Horror, Willy Wonka and On the Waterfront on the big screen. Reasonable concessions, including Abita & Fat Tire beer. AND Don't forget the awesome restaurant & bar upstairs.
We had a great meeting and the facility was perfect for our staff. We enjoyed the setting and the atmosphere. Thanks.
Always fantastic food, beer, cocktails, and movies!! I love that I can bring food and drink from the restaurant into the movie!
Love this place! Great for a quiet movie experience!
RFC is always delightful. The theaters are small and intimate. The movie selections range from the greatest classic films to hilarious political stores to eccentric independent films, as well as cult classics. There is a great array of movie snacks and beverages, as well as a restaurant and bar upstairs, perfect for dates or friends. I always enjoy visiting!
Good experience
My experience at Robinson Film mostly involves the field trip classes that they offer to kids. As a homeschool parent I enjoy going to trips and learning things we wouldn't see in a typical classroom setting. That's exactly what our experience has been each time we have gone. I enjoy it very much, my kid does too! The place has a jazzy upscale kind of feel. They have many programs they do for children. Plenty of movie watching opportunities as well. And the restaurant upstairs is tasty!
We were visiting Shreveport for the first time, looking for a non-casino night out. Read about Robinson and the upstairs Abby Singer Bistro and decided to give it a try. Dinner at the bistro was delicious and our server was wonderful, even bringing my husband a complimentary dessert for is birthday. The theater is small but very comfortable seating. The lobby has an industrial look but still feels welcoming. A fun option is that you can have drinks or food brought into the theater from the Bistro. There are no trays or tables on the theater chairs so don't know how the food is served. All staff were welcoming and smiling. Heartily recommend RFC and Abby Singer Bistro.
Love it!
Wonderful place to relax.
Confortevole. Non manca davvero nulla. Un vero cinema ! I Love It
Such a wonderful place. We see movies there almost weekly. They show some of the major films as well as indies and documentaries that you won't see anywhere else around here. Plus, there's a great restaurant upstairs that will deliver your food to you in the theater.
Loved it
Nice business, enjoyed the food upstairs
Great atmosphere and the people were nice the food was great the movies everything love it will visit again
Staff is friendly, and the theater setting makes you feel like you're watching the movie from your home!!
This is a very well done place. Had I had better company id have bought a membership.
Make sure to make a reservation for the restaurant.
This theater is clean and has comfortable seating. I would rate five stars but the popcorn was cold and chewy...and I love popcorn.
Love! Everytime I go it's a great experience! Love the movies and Abby Singer Bistro is fabulous! Will return again and again!
Fun date nights! Good beer selection! Abby singers food is delicious!!
Love, love, love the nostalgic look of this place..takes you back in time a lil bit!! Very interesting atmosphere!!
Everyone should go to "Dinner & a movie "at least once!
Super. Love it
Go for the films - stay for the food!!
Awesome experience
This is a great place for broke college students because admission is free if you go to Centenary. Nice facility, good selection of interesting films; the concessions are expensive but that's showbiz baby.
Wonderful environment
