I just bought a house in Rigby and wanted to get the locks re-keyed. I called around to the other locksmith's in Idaho falls. The prices varied, but i felt they were a little high. I called Jeremy at JD's last. He was very kind and professional. He was at least $20 cheaper than the next closest lockmisth. We set up a time for him to drive to Rigby that night. He was promptly on time. He walked the house with me, I showed him what I wanted done, left him to work and came back in 45 minutes. He was done re-keying 8 locks and making a couple extra keys for me. No problem, no hassle! He was a pleasure to work with. I would recommend him for everything locks and keys!!!

Called all the way out from Rexburg, and he still came as quickly as he could. JD is very personable and got us back in our apartment no problem, and was even sweet enough to make us some spare keys and show us how to get in if we were ever locked out again. Thanks a bunch, man! ^-^

This guy is awesome. We lost our home key and the garage doors would not open. He came out at 2:00 am when it was 3 degrees outside and over a foot of snow on the ground. My wife and three kids were all in the car. He got us into the house very quickly. Friendly guy and very reasonably priced. Thanks again for coming in the middle of the night.

It was 5:30 in the morning and I was starting my Friday with my keys locked in my car....dang! Googled locksmith’s and JD came up, called him and he answered immediately. He came and saved the day! He was quick to get to my location and knew his stuff when it came to getting into my vehicle. Within an hour he was there and I was in my vehicle and I made it to work on time!! On Saturday, I needed a duplicate key for a Haulmaker trailer as when we picked up the borrowed trailer there was only one key. While sitting outside Mel’s Lock & Key at 10:00 (website listed open 9-2) with a sign that said “Closed”, called JD’s Lock & Key. He told me he would check to see if he had a blank to match and call me back. Within 5 minutes he not only returned my call, he also located a key blank for me (Smith’s RV) when he found he did not have one. I went to Smiths and picked up the blank and was informed they don’t cut keys, and said to try Mel’s, really? So I called JD back and explained the situation. He immediately offered to meet me and suggested Cabelas parking lot as it crossed both our paths. Sure enough, we met and within a couple minutes he cut both key blanks and told me no charge. Wow, what rare and amazing customer service in this day and age. I did “tip him” none the less and can actually say working with them was an uplifting experience even though the process was unconventional. I will highly recommend them to anyone in need of this type of service.
