I loved that it made it easy to learn, even back in 1980's.

I had the privilege and joy of sending all three of my children to Faith Christian School all the way through 8th grade. FCS prepared my children very well for high school at Hamilton West, Lawrenceville and Robbinsville. I really think that FCS had a great balance between academics, sports and spirituality. Great teachers and staff. Highly recommend it to anyone!

Worst school I've ever been to. I'm a military child and have been for my entire life causing me to have been to 9 schools. I'm in college now and have been reflecting on all my experiences from different school, and my time at FCS haunt me. I was bullied at FCS the whole time, and the teachers would play along. There were a few times someone would accuse me of something I didn't do, every time the teacher would punish me, and one time I got a pink slip for something I didn't do. I'm blind in one eye and have a bad field of view, and one time in PE someone ran into me on my blind side and the coach sent ME to the office, saying he "watched me run into them" and that I "could have stopped." Oh, did I mention you get a demerit if you forget to wear white socks to PE? Same goes of you come to school in white socks instead of black socks. Twice a year they change their uniform from cold to warm, etc, and if you come to school in the wrong clothes they'll send you home and give you detention. I lived an hour away, and traffic in NJ is pretty bad, so a lot of the time I was late, not by my choice. They CHARGE YOU MONEY EVERY TIME YOU ARE LATE. I remember one time looking at the bill my parents got and one semester was $200 of tardy slips!!! The teachers don't care if you're IN THE CLASS WHEN THE BELL RINGS! If you're not in your seat, or if you run into the class and you are an inch above your seat, they send you to the office and laugh as you go. One time the office lady told me to just go up without a tardy slip, I don't know if she did this out of kindness or if they were out of tardy slips because I used them all, but that's the nicest thing anyone did for me while I was there. I went back up to class, and the teacher looked so angry and defeated when I came without a slip. One time I was sent to the office for doodling and then interrogated on what I was drawing. Come on, it was literally a fish tank, I can't be that bad at drawing. The principal never did anything about any of the bullying, the teachers targeting me, or the teachers playing along with the bullying. I was heavily depressed while I was going here and I would cry pretty much every day, either from students bullying me or the teachers just being too mean. Worst school ever, even the one public school I went to was miles better that that hell. Parents! If your kid is depressed at their school, WITHDRAW THEM AND SEND THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE!

My wife and I had children in Faith Christian School from Pre-k through middle school, then we absolutely had to get them out. First, I loved the sense of discipline, ethics, Godliness, etc that was present; disruptive and/or disrespect was not tolerated at all. Without equivocation, I can say that my children personal development was incredible, and they are great caring, loving, God Fearing individuals because of their attendance at Faith. The problem with the school though is that the academics are sub par, (almost comical in some instances), as i was left with my mouth aghast when I read some of the material in the Abeka books. Abeka is a company that that specializes in proving learning materials to home schooling parents; these are the same books that were used in class, and were definitely outrageous. Abeka provides material that is fundamentalist Christian in tone (think liberty university, oral Roberts university, Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Etc); their stated mission is to indoctrinate your children with conservative American Christian values; this schools primary mission is the production of Conservative Christian Missionaries, the actual texts are comical. For example, how can children learn about early American history, yet slavery is barely mention; Jim crow barely even mentioned. My children learned that women have a place in the home, and are not suited for many professions. My children were learning about Noah's arc in social studies, and there was open discussion about the desire to have brought dinosaurs on the boat; dinosaurs became extinct millions of years prior to man, this is a fact. The list goes on and on, including science classes mixed with religion, which makes absolutely no sense; science is based on the observation of facts, while religion is faith based. Again, Abeka is a home school based curriculum, and the teachers had to adhere to the books, the lesson plans, etc 100%; there simply was no straying or creativity. It was basically homeschooling of 20 kids in a class, in a church setting. Teachers were merely classroom leaders, as they followed the same methods as a mom would when home schooling her children; it was all rote and memory based, little thinking or reasoning. If you are looking for a cheap alternative to an under performing inner city urban school, this could work for you; if not, I recommend against it. Faith Christian is more church than it is school. By the way, after marrying my wife, I demanded that the children be taken out of the school, and they now attend a real school, that challenges them academically. i was incredulous while reviewing the work they were doing at Faith.

I went in the 80's and 90's and mostly what I received from staff was bigotry and a lot of negativity, way to much to mention. Bottom line is there has to be way better options for your child; SEEK THEM!!!

My daughter has attended this school since kindergarten. This has been one of best decisions that my husband and myself made as far as her education. The teachers and everyone their are wonderful and very attentive to the needs of the child. They challenge them to be their very best at all times. The front office staff is top notch and what I noticed is that everyone is treated as an individual and they care about the entire family and not just the student. When my daughter started in Kindergarten my son was suddenly sick (he is not or has ever been a student), but the amount of concern and love can not be put in words. The prayers and love are still coming to this day. I can't say enough about this school and the sacrifice to send a child to this private institution is worth the reward.

Best academic school in the area! My boys attend Faith Christian school. We used to attend catholic schools which left my boys confused. The individualized attention my boys receive while in school has no comparison to any school. Academically, my boys Terra Nova scores have both increased they are learning about faith and education! Teacher work long extra hours if they see your child struggling in something they will work with your child to get it right! My only regret not enrolling them earlier!

For over 40 years, FCS has provided a private Christian education to between 300-400 students a year. We offer grades PreK through 8th. It is always disheartening to hear or read anything negative about FCS, We understand that there will always be some families which we could not accommodate, and as with any school or church, there will be those who leave dissatisfied. There is only one reason we have been able to successfully operate FCS for over 40 years. It is because of satisfied parents and families. Satisfied parents are our greatest advertisement. In fact, satisfied parents probably have been our singular recommendation which has lead to the hundreds who have and who are presently attending FCS. We ALWAYS invite you to see and visit for yourself. Take a day or several days, and schedule time to sit in any class, or in several classes, and experience a quality Christian education first hand. Faith Christian School is only possible . . . All Because of Calvary, Ted Martens, Ph.D. Administrator of FCS

Loved the school for how well it prepared me for high school and college both by their academics and stand with the Bible.

Our family found a home away from home, at Faith Christian School. Our two daughters have been educated academically, personally, and spiritually over the last three years. Starting in Pre-K 3, we knew that Faith Christian was the right choice for our daughter who needed more structure and loves learning. After visiting KinderCare and Goddard, we selected Faith Christian School because of the clean, welcoming, full day preschool program they offered at a more affordable tuition rate. Within an hour we knew we wanted our girls to grow and learn at FCS. As soon as we could have both of our daughters attend we did and have been thrilled with their learning of phonics, math, music, character education, as well as their knowledge of the Bible and their love of the Lord in both Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4. Since our girls have continued on into Kindergarten and first grade, they have grown tremendously as readers, writers and Christians and their work ethic is strong. Recently, while riding to school, my first grader read with ease, four pages from my middle schooler’s copy of The Diary of a Young Girl, Anne Frank’s Diary. We were amazed! Throughout our journey at Faith Christian School, our daughters and entire family, has been supported, cared for and genuinely loved by the teachers, staff members, fellow parents and families, and the Pastoral staff at the church. We highly recommend Faith Christian School for all they do to support, educate, strengthen and grow young hearts and minds personally, academically and spiritually.

Looking back at my time at FCS as I near the completion of my college degree, I can honestly say that my days spent there were some of the worst of my life. The bullying I experienced at that school from about 5th grade onward was unrelenting - for years I was tormented by self-proclaimed Christians about what I weighed, how I looked, how I acted, and who I was. I was even bullied by the preacher’s daughter, go figure. The teachers knew this was going on, and did absolutely nothing to stop it because my parents didn’t fork over money to their church (despite me attending the school for 10+ years and paying tuition... but I digress). To each their own, but I cannot and will not stand by a religious organization who attempts to establish a moral high ground and then can justify standing idly by while their students (not just me, see other reviews) are tormented. And then there was the academics... for as much of a foundation I can acredit to this school in areas like literature and reading comprehension, the failure to prepare students in math and science is obscene. I understand that this is a hardline Christian school and they’re going to teach creationism, but this was in no way supplemented by any sort of actual science, and I can speak from my own experience, my otherwise strong academic performance from high school onwards suffered because of it. If you insist on sending your child to this school, I can only impart this advice to you. 1. From about 5th grade on, buy your kid a science book, you’ll thank me later, 2. expose your child to different ideas than just those taught inside the school and really sit down and talk with them in the home - FCS teachings can turn into a bubble after awhile and your child will be more well-suited to navigate the real world once they’re out, and 3. this is the most important thing, for god’s sake, please, PLEASE, teach your child to be a kind and compassionate human being, because if there’s one thing I’m confident in saying, this school never will.

We love FCS!!! We are so blessed to have the opportunity to have our daughters attend this wonderful school. The teachers are caring and helpful. They want to see your child do their best and live for the Lord. The education gained there is excellent.

My family has invested 50 years of tuition into Faith Christian School, and I believe the money was well spent. They provide a balanced education that prepared my children well for high school and college. In addition, they focus heavily on communication between teachers and parents, making it a true "team experience."
