I hate to even give this school a bad review, because there are a couple of teachers, a couple of after school teachers, and the principal that are the most wonderful people of this school. On the whole overall though, there are issues that keep it from becoming a great school. The size is small, and the gym is also the cafeteria, and it is tiny. The playground guard doesn't watch the kids as well as they should, or care that kids are being bullied on the playground. Bullying at this school is common, and overlooked by the teachers because they don't want to deal with the fact or acknowledge that it is even happening. The communication among the staff and from the staff to the parents is not just somewhat lacking, it is HORRIBLY lacking. I am amazed that as many of the students are even passing. The test scores for this school are the lowest of any other elementary school. I can count on one hand the number of people who try their best and I would give the greates kudos to teaching, I wish I could take them to another school with me, as I will not be allowing my kids to attend this school anymore. The sad truth is, that for the last three years my kids have attended, the school has slowly plummeted into the "I don't care" attitude that so many people seem to have more so of there these days there. Mr. Radley is a very awesome principal, and has always taken an interest in the kids at his school. He is a good principal, but there is a very bad organization and communication problem with the rest of the staff, and for these reasons alone, I would not give a good rating. Jefferson, Smith, and any school North of Bryant are great schools.
