Went in for Groin to knee blood clot. Long Story Short, they dropped me on the OR Floor. Their explanation is they assisted me to the OR Floor because something startled me. Yes, gravity startled me. There is no excuse for this. I ended up between two procedure tables...why? Because the wheels were not locked on the one I was being transferred from. Beware of this place. You've been warned.

I had a hysterectomy and stayed 2 nights at Kingwood Medical Center and was very impressed with the wonderful care I received. It was a positive experience from beginning to end. Everyone that I came in contact with was kind, attentive, and helpful. My nurses were amazing and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bernell. She's the best. I highly recommend this facility. ☺️

Kyonnie Hordge

Staff was nice and start time was not far off from appointment time.

Still the worst hospital in the world! It's actually disgusting I cannot believe the lack of care and the lack of competent Doctors! Fool me once shame on you! Fool me twice shame on me! Currently making arrangements to take my mother to another hospital after being discharged without scripts that were supposed to be called in but never were for 8 hours! Good job Kingwood hospital

Doctors never communicate with patient's family, you'll have to practically hunt them down to get results interpretation. I'm starting to doubt they meet twice a week to review patient's state. They never perform tests to see the level of damage on the patient's brain. If you call Dr's office they tell you they don't provide results directly that you have to talk to the nurse in charge; you call her and she'll tell you she doesn't have anything from the f* Dr!. Nurses are very slow to respond to help patient to go to resgroom even if patient was given stool softener. Just imagine. Kitchen serves meat that's full of hard cartilage to a patient that doesn't have all his teeth and has difficulty swallowing due to his throat paralysis due to the stroke.

The nurse, Suzie, who did my IV did an ultrasound on my arm to find a good vein and with only one try, hit the mark. Even with the larger needle they use for CTA Scans, only a small pin-point bruise was left. On the other hand, the next day I went to Quest for labs, who use a smaller needle. They had to wiggle the needle around in order to find the right spot to draw blood and left me with a huge bruise!

My husband has kidney stones and he went to memorial Herman northest and waited 2 hours and walked out without being seen. We came to Kingwood hospital and they took him in right away

This was my second time giving birth and my first c-section. I used a different hospital with my first daughter, and I can honestly say this was my best experience in a hospital. The nurses were super friendly and very informative. The nutrition staff made sure I had enough to eat and brought me snacks. Their food actually had flavor compared to some hospitals I’ve been to or visited. The labor and delivery staff were very caring and helpful. If I ever got pregnant again there would be no doubt in my mind about going back to Kingwood. And I would recommend to all pregnant moms.

Lynn Luspin

Emergency room staff great, nurses afterward were caring and cordial, had one bad experience with an IV that should have been replaced that resulted in a bump still in the top of my hand, imaging staff great, transporter staff great, surgical staff wonderful. Primary care doctor was wonderful and assigned urologist was great. 4 stars due to IV attention which did not get 5. Yes I would use the Kingwood Healthcare services again if needed.

Just checked in. Room is old. Water was brown when I turned it on. Tiles on bath floor and shower are peeling from paint. Room looks like it hasn’t been updated in decades. The thermostat is a lever with exposed box of wires where a thermostat used to be with blue tape marked cold to the left and Hot to the right. Nurses and dr.s have been nice so far but one Dr. Kahn, an infectious disease specialist, walked in with an attitude. He repeated the same questions the referring Dr. asked and began raising his voice. I asked for my case manager and he said she left for the day. He continued talking to me in his raised voice denying that he was and finally just said have a good night and walked away and slammed the door. This Dr. needs a lesson in bedside manner and how to talk to sick people. I am very disappointed in this Hospital. I thought I would have stellar service given the Kingwood community.

Spouse had major life threatening illness....Doctors and nurses were amazing fro ER to CVNEURO ICU everyone worked as a team and we are 2 yr surviors

Daryl Stevenson

I went for a CT scan and it was the most flawless, effortless check in that I have every did. Wait time was at a minimum (I am talking about less than 10 minutes) and the Imaging staff was great.

Meghan Wilkin

I recently had my baby here. I was extremely happy with the nurses and doctors who were performing the C section in labor and delivery. Things went downhill when I went upstairs to postpartum. The nurses and lactation consultants harassed me about breastfeeding while I was recovering from major abdominal surgery. It was very frustrating

Jeron German

Went in for stroke like symptoms and with further testing found out it was due to very high blood pressure. They had the utmost care with their team and got it down and regulated. Want to send a shout out to my nurse Danielle, in the 1100 unit for being there for every little thing I needed. I must say, one heck of a nurse with excellent bedside manners.

Linda Hawley

Went in for day surgery and was admitted for 1 day for observation. The staff was very friendly and the hospital was very clean. Could not have ask for a better facility.

S Evans

Julie in ultrasound was the most professional and friendly technician I have come across. I even received a Thank You card in the mail, handwritten. Very impressive! She should be employee of the year. The website could use a little help. It wasn't a friendly site to use for pre-registration.

So I came in an ambulance to this hospital with a 103 fever, cough, really couldn't stand on my own. It took 15 minutes for them to get me checked in. Then they get me to a room where the nurse comes in and is drawing blood. He draws the normal 5 tubes and pulls it out when another nurse comes in and says he forgot to do the 4 other bottles. He blows two vains and pulls out the needle because he was careless. Then on the 4th try finally gets the other bottle with another nurse's help. They run 12 test and I only knew the result of 4 of them when I left. The doctor never washed her hands or put gloves on when she came in!! She cared candy in a bio bag!! I was also told to sweat out the infection and that I couldn't have more medicine because it was time out...time out on medication? Yeah huge joke!!

My father has doctors orders to be admitted to the hospital and he's been sitting for four hours in the emergency waiting room because supposedly they have no rooms available. Yet they have a whole new floor. He's 72 years old and blood pressure was 197/90, way to high and he's being left out in a chair although they have the doctors orders to be admitted.

Rashel Richardson

Customer Service is Excellent!!!

Not one of my better 5 night stays this last trip. Aside from the nurses, cardiologist and neurologist being awesome the remaing experience was far from substandard. The food was not good and they even skipped me on one meal resulting in nurse providing me with a sandwich. The primary care doctor did not appear as friendly and when I was released at 10 pm, after all test results were reviewed, he did not come to inform me of what was or was not found. I am still left wondering what results are. One of chief complaints, among many, was ears hurting and doctor was more interested in scheduling me an out patient appointment in his clinic rather than care for my medical needs and ailments while in the hospital. It's all about how much MORE money can they milk out of their patients. I will not be returning to this hospital of my own free will any time in the future.

E L

Friendly staff, clean facility, comfortable waiting area for outpatient surgery.

Helen Gore-Laird

I want to say that the nursing staff was fantastic. They were friendly, helpful, and professional. My experience at this hospital in general was not good. I was brought in due to a terrible automobile accident. I kept asking for an MRI of my foot and ankle (they only did an X-ray and CT scan) when I came in. It took 3 days of requesting the MRI before they finally agreed to do it. I had severe injuries in my knee. They told me my foot was only sprained. When I was finally able to get to my orthopedic doctor the foot was actually broken and the knee much worse than they said - I never saw an orthopedic doctor there only a PA. The PT was a joke there. Only on the last day from a different PT did I receive some helpful advice. They kept me 2 extra days because they claimed they could not get the equipment I needed to take home and needed to get Home Health Care set up. My husband finally went to a medical place near the hospital and got the equipment and was back with 30 minutes and I could now be released. Even though they claimed they contacted the Home Health people, no one as ever contacted me. While in the hospital I was on a drip (not sure I really needed it). They would come in and change the bag when it was half empty so you got 1 bag for the price of 2. They pushed medicine I did not need and got my medications wrong. Even after telling them I did not need certain medicines they would bring them. Do not recommend this hospital and had I had a choice I would not have gone there.

This is a hospital that desperately needs some personnel changes! During the last few weeks here with a parent, I have seen numerous Nurses and Doctors that displayed lack of professionalism, not to mention case workers that want to discharge patients before they recoup from surgery!!! I am very generous with a two star rating because of only three nurses (out of approximately 30) displayed compassion for their patients!

D j

I had to bring my daughter to the pedi Er recently. She was triaged within 10 minutes. We had to wait a couple of hours to get into the room. It was a long wait , that being said , the doctor spent time with us. He explained his thoughts and made us understand what the problems were. He also apologized for the wait. I thought that was very nice of him. The water machine in the waiting area was broken. Also the coffee machine inside the patient room area was broken . Probably good idea to get those fixed .

LeeAnn Enriquez

Great hospital. Took care of my broken ankle with lots of care.

This was a good/bad experience. It would've went better if the tech Lora would've had a better attitude. She was rough speaking and not too kind. When I told her some areas were sensitive, she merely was like oh well. I know they have to do their job and I'm good with that, but please be more courteous to your patients. I wasn't being rude, I just stated what was hurting and she was unpleasant. After it was over, she went out and she huffed and puffed as if I was the one being mean but I wasn't. You just need to learn people skills Mrs. Lora, especially in a public environment. She was ok but not that nice. The tech that showed me out was nice and she smiled and she had to reiterate to Lora don't worry about what they say, just do your job, but I really wasn't being rude this time. Soooo, not on me.

Snoui Productions

Medical staff isn't welcoming and will be rude to patients. Patients recieve same menu frozen foods that are bland and cold. Kitchen staff needs to renew and change menu to freshen up appetites. The guests of patients often have to bring in outside food for them to eat because the patients' food is "unedible". There would be leftover food trays not picked up and nurses wouldn't take out trays but leave them for café staff to pickup instead.

William McClellan

Went to the E0R because my doctor needed a certain type of Cathscan done .Apparently ER Doctor had no clue as all he did was test me for enzymes in my blood for possible stroke or heart attack and run a chest xray. Came back said congratulations no enzymes and your chest xray shows no broken bones. And then he sent me home. Had to have test ran at a independent imaging place which cost me more than hospital. The correct test showed two fractures. As far as I am concerned worst hospital out there. Not the first time I have had issues there. That is why I do not use them unless there is absolutely no other choice. I even told them several times that pain in my chest was from a fall not a stroke or heart attack

isidore martinez

I want to say that i was taken care by some very professional people from Preop to all the people that took care of me in Day surgery Thank you

Marge Schinke

Kingwood Healthcare is excellent. I drive an hour to get here because I trust them.

Rose Ann Martin

Patient care was exceptional. The hospital continues to grow and give excellent service..

vanessa castillo

Very much pleased with how fast they brought me back and made sure they got me to feeling better! They’ve called me 2x since my visit to make sure I’m doing better and have been very helpful with scheduling my appointment with the specialist. Can’t say I’ll be going back because nobody wants to be in the ER but if worst comes to worst than this will definitely be where I’d be going.

Judy Lyons

What a wonderful place to be when sick. Everyone is so caring and easy to get along with. And the food OMG it is great. I love this hospitle

john machinsky

I had a great experience at Kingwood Emergency Center. The entire Staff was very professional and knowledgeable.

Shelley Simon

I went to the ER feeling very bad and the ER doctor I saw didn't order any testing based on my lab results. Malpractice and certainly an ethical issue based on my lab results. He should be fined and certainly written up for overlooking what is actually wrong with me. Terrible and pathetic care!! He put a spot bandaid over a gaping hole of a problem and he did it intentionally! Pathetic Care

Laophelia Bates

My family and I will always keep coming here for help. They are always willing to assist in any situation

Kenny McKee

If i could give them 0 stars I think it would be more accurate of a rating. My mom was admitted Tuesday last week for dizzyness and blurred vision. My sister brought my mom in blamed it on my moms drinking habbits that it might be the cause. Glossing over the medical records where my mom states a family history of strokes on her mothers side. The hopital doesn't even "admit" her into the hospital but instead put her in "observation". And while in "observation" they took multiple test and tons of blood each day. When all was said and done they told us it was the alcohol and showed us how the liver improved while she was there. Awesome we thought... My mom then took the paperwork and tests performered, by the hospital, to a specialist. Come to find out my mom was having stokes the entire time she was under "observation" at the hospital and the fact they let her leave was life threatening. She's getting a heart monitor this Wed. Sorry if your forced to come here...

Jason Seeberger

Very very methodically organized and you can be sure Kingwood is the best place for a ortopedic operation, they cross their i's and dot their t's.

Donna Venghaus

Staff is so caring.Although they were extremely busy we were treated as quickly as possible.

Alex Zavertnik

I really don't understand why the hospital has such low reviews. I was there Feb 1st to have my baby, the nurses and staff were amazing and friendly. My newborn is still there in nicu and the nurses have been amazing and very supportive.

Cassidi Cowgill

Kennikqua Thompson, NP was amazing!!! The rest of the staff was not as kind. My address was copied incorrectly from my licenses, they did not let me check it at all. Before we left we received our paper work and once I got home I noticed my address was incorrect. I tired to call them to change the address so they could send the bill. They transferred me to 5 different people. And one lady literally said, "Hang up and call back because I'm not doing this right now." Still trying to fix the issue.

Sophia Ayoola

Been putting off scans etc cause didn't want to deal with it...here it was easy...Kellie in registration is a pro...walked me to 1st station for 2 tests...then I was escorted to next station for 2 tests...finished early...scheduler got me in and out in one morning. Great facility great talented staff. Ruth

Mildred Macasinag

My husband received optimum medical care but the reason I am giving it 3 stars is for their food service. We were on the 5th floor so its understandable that floor will be served last but what in a world?! They regularly serve breakfast at 10am, lunch at 3pm and dinner at 8pm! These patients are taking medications so if the patient has no gastric ulcers they will leave with a new diagnosis.

Ryan M

The nurses and techs (Josie, Marilou, Melissa, Angela/Ada, Marcus, Michelle, Leslie, David, and Richard) and Doctors Mathur and Sadat were all great. Everyone was very kind and professional. After I complained about being hungry overnight once, Angela and Leslie went out of their way to take care of me, and bought me trail mix and chips from the vending machine. It wasnt their place to have to do that, and they deserve to be commended for their genuine concern for their patients. At one point I got upset about some things, but the entire staff was very understanding and supportive. They even got the Director involved, Catina, who calmly explained to me what was going on, helped get my pain under control, and she even noticed I was having an anxiety attack and offered something to help, which that alone was enough to earn my respect. I understand the hospital is growing rapidly, maybe a little too fast for some departments to keep up with. So I dont hold the odd feeding hours against them. Though after I brought it to Catina's attention, I didnt have any more issues. Just want to thank all my nurses for their kindness and professionalism, Dr Mathur for performing a procedure for me even though he could've dismissed me with pain meds like many urologists would have, Dr Sadat for his genuine concern and speedy updates to my medications to manage my comfort level, and Catina West for putting up with my anger/confusion and still doing everything to make it right. This is a good hospital. :)

Jamie Brooks

Team performing the medical test was not up to speed and had to find a more experienced tech to remote in but he/she was in a meeting. Had to wait for other tech to get out of the meeting all the while with a rather intrusive and painful tube down my throat. This was a redo since 1st time around test wasn’t done properly. My throat hurt for four days afterward and a week later still don’t have results even though promised results would be rushed. I’ll never go to kingwood for medical tests again.

Mylin Wendy Esguerra

I've worked here for 1 year now, and I can't wait to see this Hospital grow. :) Proud employee.

Joseph Taska

Medical Treatment is Excellent , Anything associated with Food Service is horrible .Food for patients is cold by time delivered & liquids are warm ,except coffee always cold , Special items requested by dietitian were never severed. Cafeteria is closed more than open ,when open always has very limited hot food . No snacks on floors for Patients Coffee maker on 3 rd floor was broken for all 6 days family was in hospital , Feel free contact me

Dick Mundee

Surgery and Recovery was absolutely Great!! Pre Op was a nightmare!! I have had two pre ops in just over 30 days and both times it was absolutely a terrible experience! The questions for the most part are absolutely asinine, & not revelant to procedure! Both times I was there for over two hrs and was only I actually with someone for less than 30 minutes at most! The second time just over a month from first I told them nothing changed except the addition of one medication! Some of the questions were invasive, not related to anything to do with my procedure, humiliating, and absolutely no necessary!!! Most hospitals will do a phone pr op and the about a 15 min in hospitail pre op to do lab work etc. You definitely need to re-evaluate your entire pre-op procedures!!!

Laura Sebren

I've been in this hospital 4 times in the last 11 months. I've never had a bad experience with the ER or on the floor. As a matter of fact yesterday I was in the ER. One of the nurses told me that as sick as I was I was the nicest patient she ever had in her 16-year career. I think a lot of it has to do with when you're sick you don't feel good, your family is worried so their impatient and maybe demand service immediately for you and their insistence on getting help and hurrying up makes part of these reviews. I know I'm only one review but it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile. Sometimes they are just so overworked and so tired that it's just hard to be bubbly and personable while dealing dealing with 20 patients at time. There were 9 critical patients in the ER yesterday. I was on a gurney watching the staff run back and forth. Just my opinion

SHARON GONZALEZ

Very happy with all staff involved in mine and my babies care , from L&D to post partum.

Devon Alexander

Fast efficient and great customer service.

Brandy Mayr

I recently had day surgery and I had a wonderful experience with all staff. They were very patient and caring.

Terri H

This is by far the worst hospital in the Houston area . I have a couple serious clotting disorders and was totally blown off when I went there for shortness of breath and upper back pain. My discharged diagnosis was unspecified chest pain .I never said I had chest pain . I was told the sudden insert of shortness of breath is because I'm fat, they didn't know I recently lost 75lbs .When my husband questioned then about things, the doctor said we would probably be better if if he just took me to another hospital. Then we waited 2 hours for a heparin flush to come from the pharmacy. The nurses fabricated vitals on me to make them look more on the normal range when my BP was actually 199/156. They just keep getting larger cuffs and trying to get a lower reading. It didn't work so they just fabricated a number. My O2 SATs dropped into the low 90s but because 94 popped up on the machine for a second, that's what they will say it was. The real kicker was the tech from nuclear medicine that wanted to stick a regular straight needle in my port a Cath because they do it all the time. Accessing a port is supposed to be a sterile proceedures, not just stick any old needle in it. We were told a manager would be coming to speak with us but we waited for 6 hours and they never came. Don't say you take patient concerns seriously because administrator's actions speak louder. Stay away because I have told my husband to just get ready because no one will help me and I'm going to die .

Gregory Witherwax

Wonderful caring staff and nurses. The doctors are caring, knowledgeable and do their best to relax and reassure their patients. I have found a wonderful, caring hospital close to home. The cardiac department in the north tower has the most amazing doctors, wonderful, caring nursing staff and department heads that strive to make your experience as painless, knowledgeable and relaxing as possible. I will use this hospital for all my medical needs

Jo Ann Cook

The staff was courteous and knowledgeable, and the facilities excellent. The experience took little time.

Tameka LeDay

Not exactly sure what was going on but the Drs bedside manner were absolutely atrocious. I was spoken to so rudely by an ER nurse as well as a Dr Khalid or something similar to that. The communication was almost nonexistent between the Drs and nurses. The nurses were great. I usually don't complain but this was a horrible experience.

Karen Pittman

THEY KILLED MY VERY GOOD FRIEND My good, very sweet and kind friend of mine I called pops cause he was my second dad came into kingwood medical facility just for a broken rib, he had made several calls to me and other friends of his telling them that they was very rude, and mean to him and was trying to kill him, that he needed people to come visit him so the staff could see that he had family members who cared about him so he wouldn't be killed. That very next day he had died, FROM WHAT A BROKEN RIB!!!, COME ON PEOPLE THERE HAS GOT TO BE SOMETHING DONE ABOUT THIS, THAT F-&#ING HOSPITAL IS KILLING OUR LOVED ONES AND GETTING AWAY WITH IT AND THAT'S NOT COOL IT'S EVIL.

Mary Hudson

My experience was good this time. The staff show me that care about my well being.....i just wish the doctor would have did more testing before he put me on all that medicine

Linda

Very caring and attentive staff, but the hospital is understaffed. Even after pre-registering (and prepaying by phone the day before), I still had to wait over an hour past my "appointment" time to get my blood drawn and sign all the forms. On the day of my procedure, I waited 3 hours past my scheduled time. After the procedure, I stayed overnight in a room in the old section of the hospital. Unfortunately, the "remodel" was done so poorly that the tile floors which had been painted (!) were peeling off, exposing dirt and mold. Ick! Thank goodness for the non-slip socks they give you!

Sammie Dingle

We were here 4 different times and each time we were treated with kindness, dignity and respect. Best hospital I have ever been to in my life. Never waited too long either, keep up the great work.

Tammy Nigro

Writing a review for my sister. She just had a day procedure that ended up being an over night stay. Her boyfriend wanted to stay over night with her and there was a shortage of reclining chairs but the night nurse, Esmeldra, was so sweet to go all the way to the other side of the hospital to find a chair. Come to find out, they had several break at one time and it takes a long time for new ones to arrive. They were impressed with the service. The care and service was always right on time and with a smile. Procedure was a success!

Dank Ness

Don’t get in a hurry for anything You will be disappointed I want outta here and three hours after being released by my doctor and multiple conversations with nurses I still lay here waiting and waiting and waiting....... About to walk out on my own

Jessica Caballero

My Mom is very sick coughing and coughing, went to the hospital yesterday for help to get medication to stop coughing because she can't breathe and is so congested. Left with no cough medicine because emergency room too "scared" to give her cough medicine because she has other medical issues. What?!? You're the emergency room!! Told Mom to go home and call her doctor. Thanks Kingwood, she hasn't slept and can't sit more than a few moments without coughing. I'm sure your bill will be quite a bit for no help. If you're too "scared" to treat patients with medical issues, maybe being an ER physician isn't for you.

jamie steed

I am only giving 1 star because I have to. My son went to the ER today to be treated for a skin irritation and a severe headache. He went into the triage area, and they took his blood pressure and said he has a tension headache prescribe some medication and said they do not do skin problems there. This is a Emergency Room where they should take all types of patients with all types of problems. If you did not have a dermatologist on duty the hospital could of called one in for treatment. I truly hope his skin condition is nothing major and you turned him away. Please future patients be careful of this place.

Toni Stanford

Just left the hospital yesterday and it was the worst experience ever I will never step foot in any part of this hospital again. No one took me serious on my concerns and was rude. Food I couldn’t even eat and room was old. I am sick still bc they did a quick fix and kicked me out and I have good insurance. I will drive to another place next time before i go here. The head Nurse Pa in observation is a rude well you know. I just had question and only seen 1 doctor my stay here. If I get any worse I will be talking to our lawyer.

Kevin Manning

I recently had two procedures completed at Kingwood. The day surgery staff was great. Lizzie was very kind and concerned. The surgeon and anesthesiologist were great. The whole way through they kept my wife updated and knowing that I was cared for. I also had to go to the Kingwood ED as well. The staff there were experienced and ready to provide for my medical needs. The nursing staff was great and took extra care to ensure I was comfortable and kept up to date on my progress. Kingwood is a great hospital.

Tessa Simmons

Very good stay. One of the night nurses , Josie was exceptional. For the most part the stay was very good. Will say no one showed me how to use the breathing machine. Usually you are shown and given a goal. One person did do it. That was on my last day.

Brittany Harrell

Very nice, caring, and attentive staff. My 5day stay here back in February was the best hospital stay I’ve ever experienced other than when I gave birth.

Dianna Shaw

The nurses were great and the ER was fast and flexible. The people working there were kind and helpful. I had a nurse practitioner and he was cold and the one time he actually bothered to see me I felt he was rude and unhelpful. I will not be back here!

Jeanette Marshall

Dr. Rawal was amazing. Not only did he provide excellent care he made my 6 month old who was miserable, smile

Kodieann Parrish

KWMC ER and Surgical South took phenomenal care of my grandmother! I definitely recommend this facility and will not hesitate to return if myself or my family is in need of medical care in the future. KWMC is not the facility I remember from many years ago.

Johzanne Miller

My father was a patient on the 3rd floor North Tower for over a week. The whole staff including the doctors, the nurses, the nurse assistants, the nurse leaders, management, and the techs were excellent with my father. My family and I never had to worry about his care. Big shout outs to Nida, Laura, Jamie, Becky, Linsi, Lordina, Lillianna, Cherish, Gloria, Janice, Ashley, Heather, Daniel, and respitory (Chad and Kelly) on the 3rd Floor North. As well, thank you to the emergency room, Thomas, Dainelle, Erica, Laurel, the cath lab (Regina, Jen, Usha, Renne), Dr. Qadri, and the Vital Heart & Vein Doctors (Dr. Morales).

Betty Nelson-Warren

The ER doctor and staff treated me like royalty. My frightening and painful car accident trauma care was very well handled with competence and encouragement. Every department was caring, quite devoted. Great hospital!

Kourtney Johnson

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT!!!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND EMERGENCY ROOM STAFF.

Anna Lee

I love this place..I have visited so many hospital's in the past..but this one is the best..most friendliest and caring people work here....hands down all star hospital!!!

Juan velasquez

We took my 12 year old son in to the emergency room for treatment. He got bit by a snake. When we got there my wife asked if the could treat a snake bit on a 12 year old and the said yes the could. It took for anouther patient to tell them that they had to see him right away for them to finally see him. After we were there for over 2 hours they told us we can't treat your son we gave to call an umbulance to take him to childrens hospital in Houston downtown. They could have told us that they could not treat him but there more worried about the almighty dollar. So now almost a year later they never sent us a bill and were trying to get a loan, they sent our bill to a collection agency. For over $700.

Alecia Perkins

Visited the facility in pain and was told I was fast tracked but there is no such damn thing. Cat scan came for me 6 times and no 1 even came to do my iv for the contrast! An elderly woman was taken off the stretcher and placed in a chair in the middle of the floor of the waiting room! Then an hour later she fell head first on the waiting room floor! Then when finally called thinking I’m going to a room I was placed in a closet size room with a chair!! At which I sat for 3 nite hours.. shift changed and when my husband walked out the room to see why we have not at least been checked on the nurse could not find my paperwork, didn’t know I was in the room to begin with, or knew why I was there! 8 hours at this place and I still went home in pain, undiagnosed, and completely livid! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL TO ANYONE! IF I HAD A WRECK IN THE SAME PARKING LOT OF THE HOSPITAL, & WAS BLEEDING FROM THE HEAD WITH BROKEN LIMBS! I WOULD CALL AN AMBULANCE TO TRANSPORT ME TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL! #Trash

Please do not take yourself or your precious loved ones to this hospital! This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen a thousand times over. It is a serious case of “One hand does not know what the other hand is doing”! Nurses are CONSTANTLY distracted from their task at hand because all patient call buttons ring directly to devices they carry at all times! They must stop what they are doing with one patient to answer another patient’s calls. Many of them are good nurses but they are set up to fail in this poorly managed environment! Doctors are assigned to patients but yet do not have the foggiest idea what is really going on with them because they do not visit them often enough (or even at all!!) to know what is truly happening with their entire care experience. Let me be very clear and say that our friends, neighbors and other family members who visited us were shocked at the horrible conditions of this place. What should have been a routine surgery turned into a LIVING NIGHTMARE for our loved one! The surgical recovery hall was one of the worst medical experiences anyone in our family has ever had! We experienced poor communication, unrelated infections and a major surgery complication that was never addressed with family nor reported to surgeon by hospital staff. This place needs a serious management overhaul but I’m not sure even that can fix the general lack of care for humanity we saw there. Also - lack of security is a huge problem! No security system in place and people can come in and out of patient rooms at will. Doors to surgical recovery hall are not closed or locked at night. We had TWO different episodes where non employee strangers came into our room late at night!! I truly can’t believe this place remains open.

They have great nursing care. Our nurse, Liz in L&D was excellent, caring and compassionate to our situation, but 2 doctors from the Care for Women practice treated my daughter like an animal instead of a person. She was expecting her 4th baby at 39.1 weeks. Dr. Rodriguez checked her around 2:30pm that day and said she was 3-4cm dilated and then stripped her membranes and told her she probably would be delivering tonight. My daughter asked to be directly admitted to the hospital since she has stripped her membranes, was already contracting and having lots of discharge. Dr. Rodriguez said she would have to check with the doctor on call for the group. She returned saying Dr. Mahajan was in the OR and the unit sounded busy so my daughter should go home and wait. My daughter went into triage at Kingwood around 7pm because she was having painful contractions. They put her on the monitor and she was contracting 5-7 minutes apart and Dr Loughton, the hospitalist said she was 4cm and hadn’t made any change since the appointment at 2:30pm with Rodriguez. She said my daughter could go home because it was still early. Dr. Loughton sensed some push back so she said my daughter could walk for 1 hour and be re-checked. My daughter walked and when she was re-checked she was still 4cm but still contracting every 5-7 minutes and unable to stand through the contractions because she was in lots of pain. Dr. Loughton decided to call Dr. Mahajan to make the decision to admit or discharge home. Dr. Mahajan said to send my daughter home because she’s not in labor. They did not assess her pain or offer any pain medication for her regular contractions either. We said this was unacceptable and that we were going to go to another hospital. We drove 40 minutes to The Woman’s Hospital of Texas. She went to the triage there and was immediately admitted as a G4P3 now contracting every 2-5 minutes apart. She was transferred to labor and delivery and her pain was immediately managed with a quick and effective epidural. Her contractions sped up, her water bag broke on its own and she delivered a bouncing baby at 5:50 in the morning. Woman’s Hospital treated her the way she should have been treated by the doctors at Kingwood: like a person in labor experiencing pain and about to birth her 4th child. Everyone should be warned because had she gone home to wait for some unknown amount of time she could have delivered without professional care in addition to terrible pain and suffering. We are terribly disappointed by this practice and would not be happy to recommend a loved one to them.

If I could give a negative start I would. My dad was diagnosed with cancer after they felt to tell you 3 months ago in this same hospital and there basically kicking us out and they won’t transfer him to another hospital...

I work in the healthcare field and have high expectations when my loved ones are in the hospital. My fiance' recently had surgery at Kingwood Medical Center and the care he received there was nothing short of exceptional. Dr. Morris's bedside manner was impeccable! He took the time to speak to me, allowed me time to comprehend the information, and additional time to let me ask numerous questions. He was very relaxed during our conversation and I didn't feel like he was eager to leave. During the entire process, I received calls from staff updating me on my fiance's surgery, recovery process, and timeline of events. In the recovery room, the nurse was very attentive to our needs and we felt like we were her only patient! I would highly recommend Kingwood Medical Center and Dr. Morris for your healthcare needs!!!

ILIASA MCKENZIE

Went to Kingwood Medical Center on Wednesday 8/15 to get an X-ray. I sat in Registration awhile - not too long. I noticed the young lady who registers all the patients had someone escort them to where they needed to go except me. She gave me some vague directions and I got lost of course considering it was on the other side of the hospital. Thank God for two sweet young ladies who guided me to Ste # 232 because I would have never found it on my own. I practically walked to entire hospital twice. I can’t help but to think she was racist as everyone who came into suite 232 after me had someone escort them there and they were Caucasian and I was the only one that didn’t even get offered and I’m African American. Definitely won’t be back!!!!!!!!!!

Jean Lehmann

I had outpatient surgery yesterday. Every member of staff that I came in touch with did a great job. Professional, caring, informative and attentive. It seemed that they all loved their jobs and that really made a difference. They really seemed to care that I was comfortable as possible during my time there. Would definitely recommend.

Played a major role in my fathers passing. Saw he was having a stroke called EMS and instructed they NOT go to Kingwood. Well they did being the closest facility (laughably). E.R. doc misdiagnosed him with having kidney stones all while he was urinating himself quite frequently exhibiting no signs of pain. Later in ICU his own doctor admitted the E.R. doctor was wrong and through that doctors inability to accurately spot and diagnose his condition resulted in him spending hours in the E.R. and overnight getting his scan hours too late leading to hemorrhaging on his brain. Quality of life is not a practice common at this mortuary. Will be seeking legal counsel and putting these so called doctors out on their asses. As I recall the E.R. staff was more concerned with their lunch orders when I was in there with my father. Drop the extra cash on another hospital and avoid this death trap. Sorry Devin, not a soul wanted to address their catastrophic dropping of the ball. You want to address this you can call me.

jessica rivera

Honestly I was afraid to bring my husband here after he complained of chest and back pain specially after reading some of the reviews but it was the closest one to us. I don't see where all these bad reviews come into play we have been here 3 days they have been nothing but courteous helpful and beyond caring ❤ they put him in a room right away kept checking on him nurses are very sweet and knowledgeable doctors were very understanding sure it could use a little update but youre not checking in to the Ritz Carlton or Hilton hotel its a hospital people geez! You people complaining have never been to LBJ obviously so simmer down because y'all probably don't even get treated that good at home either.

Laura L Wright

I was impressed with the very fast service! Staff was professional yet friendly.

Melissa Cooper

So online it says they do per imaging but when u call the very rude operator she says yeah there is a lot of false information online. That’s good customer service ma’am! No wonder their rating is so low.

Angela Wagner

Having been a patient at KW Medical Center and at Memorial Hermann NE off 1960, I much prefer KW Medical Center. The hospital is much cleaner, and the staff are friendlier. At NE, I came in via ambulance and was dumped in the waiting room during a severe allergic reaction; at KW, they put me in a room. The care I received at KW was fine, both in the ER and on the floor. I've been a patient, or the parent of a patient, at many different facilities across the country, and Kingwood is definitely one of the better community hospitals I've dealt with. I can't give 5 stars, because there is still room for improvement, but I am confident sending a loved one there.

Ash H

from the moment i walked in to the ER to the moment I was released i felt i was getting the best service. Everyone is very friendly and takes their time to explain everything happening. The food was great, not like regular hospital food. The nurses were empathetic and genuinely cared about me as their patient.

Heather Nicole_thehairstylist

If i could give zero stars i would Dont bring anyone here who is suicidal Because they will leave them in the hallway alone , unattended for hours This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen I have worked in a hospital before and all people under suicide watch where constantly supervised. If you love your family don't come here

Nancy Vazquez

I had my baby there 5/30/17 and it was the best experience nurses and doctors were awesome and helpful. The labor and delivery nurse Stephanie was awesome , she helped me, and coached me throughout my contractions. Of course my Dr hendryx is the best I thank them both helping me bring my bundle of joy to this world:). Lactation consultant nurse was really helpful in helping my little one latch. Only person that seemed kinda rude was the social security lady that makes the birth verification facts. Other than that everyone else were nice , friendly, and helpful.

Dave Johnson

MRI Tech not able to start IV (3 trys...grrrr), ER nurse had to come to the rescue, then he shoved the earplug deep in my ear. Ear hurt for a week afterwards. Worst ever experience. Not Impressed, how about getting trained people.

robin burnett

The ladies at regastration was very friendly and ultrasound was amazing I have had some bad issues in the past yr with Kingwood Hospital but this time was very nice hope it stays for in the future Thank you Mrs Burnett

Donna Baylous

Department staff were very friendly, and Anna was awesome in performing my test. Thank you all

Harriett Montoya

My sister came in for treatment. The check in, testing and results went smoothly and quicker than we expected. The wait to be discharged is unbelievable. We've been waiting for about three hours with no end in sight. It is understandable that some nights are busier than others but it doesn't make any sense to have to wait in excess of three hours to be discharged with or without meds. There should be a plan in place to have more than one person working in that area. I'm glad I do not live in this state and would NOT recommend this hospital to anyone based on this experience.

diane varela

I was transferred to this hospital after being diagnosed with an inflamed appendix. I was in an observation unit. Everyone was so nice. My nurses, my surgery doctor. I don't really remember the actual doctor. I only remember them coming in like once. The food was good I only ate one good meal. I was either npo or on a liquid diet. That was gross. Everything they gavee was puree'd. I would recommend this place.

Lucinda Goode

Everyone was so nice it was a good experience.

Linda Watson

One of the best experiences we have had in a healthcare facility. The pre-op nurses were very good. They explained everything that was going to happen and when so you weren't left wondering what was going on. But the post-op care was even better. The nurse that took care of my husband was one of the best I have ever seen. She was very particular in everything she did for my husband. If there is any way you can give U. Tobias an employee of the month or some kind of recognition for her outstanding work she needs it because she is deserving of it.

Jasmine Lee

I was supposed to be induced at 5 they called me at 4:30 while i was on the way to the hospital to say they didn’t have rooms. And they didn’t know when i could come mine you I’m in pain every time i walk. I waited two hours later to go to labor and delivery to tell them I’m hurting the lady said I’ll put you in a room but we’re just going to send you away. They put me in a room with bloody sheets and the bathroom had poop in the toilet. Not how i wanted to have my first baby never coming to kingwood again.

Frankie Velazquez

My husband got admitted on Friday night for a stroke. He stayed in icc south tower he had excellent care. The doctors & nurses staff were very informative & very good bedside manner , but we got moved to the North tower floor 4 & the service is horrible. They told him he couldnt get up to use the restroom, to just go in the bed. He did & had to wait an hour to get the poop cleaned off of him in the bed. This is unacceptable. It is now 7:17 pm & he never received a dinner tray. While in icc 5th floor he received breakfast around 10:30 am Lunch 2:30 pm & dinner 7:30pm This is the worst i have ever seen in food service. I guess he won't get dinner tonight.

Cynthia Unger

The place that hires nurses that can't make it in other hospitals. Doctors are off "somewhere".But hey, you can have a chest xray for not orher reason than your insurance covers it. Been waiting. for a GI dr since I was admitting with an active ulcer blead almost nine hours ago. No doctor appeared until around 1, and he was NOT a GI Dr. WTF???

Louise Vera

Took father in to the hospital and he was taken care of in good time. I will always go to this hospital. Thank you

mercedes m

lovely staff took care of me very well

Blue Magnolia

My wife gave birth recently and went through hell. These nurses never believed her pain level and just let her scream in agony from all the damage the delivery nurse made her go through. So glad this was our last baby as this was the worst experience we’ve ever been through. I don’t recommend you have your baby here.

Jay Storr

The nurses are knowledgeable, friendly and encouraging. The atmosphere is very friendly. It's a great place to go!

Sherry Bills

I was admitted through the ER around Christmas 2015. I had concerns over a procedure they were going to perform and the ER doctor was willing to speak to previous surgeon. Nurses were SO amazing. Didn't care for general doctor in charge of my care once admitted but my otherwise it was great. If I needed a hospital again I would go back!!

Patricia Walter

To much information to even write but DONT GO EVEN IF YOUR DESPERATE !

Stephanie Hopkins

I had a wonderful experience here for my first childbirth. The staff was amazing!

Dave Goetz

Everyone was a true professional. I would recommend this Hospital to anyone needing medical services. They truly exceeded all my expectations!

Shannon Kelley

They took such great care of my mom when she was sent to Icu. They were so caring and compassionate. They kept me informed and gave me the best advice that was honest but ultimately left thethe decisions up to me. They were so caring.

Gregory Smith

I had to have surgery on my foot this past January and before that in June of last year. The nurses and all tech staff were amazing. They treated me with great respect and kindness. They were very calm and reassuring as the time came close for my procedures. Dr. Jerry Miles and before him Dr. Bailey Griffin both expertly treated my issues and talked to me face to face. Even the Podiatrist Residents were awesome. The Diagnostician for the Hospital came and brought me some excellent information regarding my diet. I did not want to be in the hospital but my stay both times were as pleasant as possible

Fern Morrow

Everything went quick. I was in and out quickly. I was very pleased.

Sarah Chapuseaux

Recently had my baby here and it was great. My husband and I were able to take excellent classes and tour ahead of time which was very helpful to know what to expect. All of the staff, from triage to L&D to PP, were knowledgable and accommodating for everything that my family and I needed. We had a safe and healthy delivery and stay, baby and I both got plenty of attention for all of our needs. Most of the staff explained what they were doing as they were doing it which allowed me to know what was going on and be involved in my own care. Discharge was smooth and we were sent home with plenty of continued resources in case any problems come up.

Jim Krestalude

Professional and friendly!

BuBu Hadnot

If you have a husband or boyfriend and they have heart problems there's this charge nurse her name is Sandy she like to feel on the patient and flirt. She gets personal. I tried to contact her Director of Nursing no call. Don't get me wrong there were some good nurses on that floor but I did not care for that.

Kimber _ Persuasion

Oh my goodness! While on vacation in Houston, I developed pneumonia and was taken by ambulance to this hospital. Thee worst! Doctors don't explain your diagnosis, nurses tell you anything to keep you quiet. The food is horrible. LIKE VAMPIRES, THE NURSES GET PAID BY HOW MANY BLOOD DRAWS THEY TAKE! How does a person need 15 tubes of blood taken per day? Cleaning staff barely clean the rooms. The hospital beds are the cheapest fold up beds on the market. Back to the nurses, a very few were professional, some behaved like they were on drugs, but the majority of them, I don't see how they made it through nursing school. This hospital should be SHUT DOWN and it would be - if it were in the north or on the east coast of the USA!

Bruce Gann

The only problem was having to wait for a room to stay overnight.... The staff was excellent !!! After I got in the room.....

Andrea Lino

It was terrible. Got there and nurses were more interested in me signing paperwork even though I had pre-registered a month before. I also got told not to push and wait for the doctor to get there I was ready and no one would help me.they were just standing around while I was in so much pain and literally pleading for then to help me.. They failed to mention my child had jaundice as well and that she was losing weight at an alarming rate.. Would not recommend this hospital to anyone giving birth. Such an upsetting and traumatic experience for me.

Karen White

My experience here at HCA Houston Kingwood was excellent. Dr. Mohan was awesome and the nurses Mrs. Kathy Christopher took really good care of me. She takes really good care of her patients and she is really patient and kind. And I also want to give Ms. Candie her props she took care of me as well. Thanks to all of you for a job well done. We need more people in the world like these ladies. Thank you!

David Teverbaugh

You have some employees who are excellent patient advocates, others are simply rude or indifferent. All your employees should recognize that patients are people, some are already under severe stress due to medical conditions. A simple smile or other act of kindness can go a long way. A patient's dignity is already being challenged when medical problems arise, when a employee adds to that challenge it only makes it worse.

Trish Beal

The staff was prompt, and dud a wonderful job making sure I was settled and ready before tge MRI began. I highly recommend tgem.

Debra Brown

Brought my mom through the ER and it was horrible!! The wait is ridiculous, none of the doctors or nurses communicate with the patients, the nurses change shifts without coming to introduce themselves or check to see if the patient is still breathing, and when my mom pressed the button for the nurse they cut it off withoutcoming to see what she needed. This is my first and last time coming here.

Khanh Nguyen

I love the team at this hospital. It has the best resources. The emergency department team treated me like family. Thank you for everything this hospital has done for me. Thank goodness I am alive!

Angela Morgan

I must say I was extremely impressed with the level of care I received at Kingwood Medical Center. I went in through the day surgery department and stayed one night in the women's center. The nurses were amazing and so caring and informative. I would definitely recommend this hospital.

Sam Y

I have been treated very bad, Unprofessionaly and the nurse her name Gale was very rood to me She didn’t bother even to do the basics like temperature, pulse she just stands and decided to give me a cream even though I had a second degree burns she never looked at my hand even. I think My accent won’t help me she acts as if she owns the hospital I have requested her my rights to see someone else as she was almost shouting on me I demand a personal meeting with someone in charge What she have done is based on hate to others

Rhoda Fragd

I went to the emergency room last night for some serious pain I was having in my neck and shoulder. The staff there were so sweet and attentive! I liked the fact they used pain pills instead of shots right away for pain The nurse practitioner was very kind. She listened attentively to what I was saying and answered my questions about what was wrong. If she didn't have an answer for something I asked, she went and asked the doctor. She is going to make a fantastic doctor because of her bedside manner!!

Jessica AvonRep Nava

Had my son on Dec 27, the service was wonderful and nurses except one were very sweet and helpful. Called to talk to lactation nurse but she never came. Though when i went thru emergency they just assumed I was another person with the same name. Had trouble getting my medical records kept calling and finally had to go to the hospital to change the social that they never asked.

Anastasia Jones

My son was born there almost 2 years ago, and I had the best experience. I hear so many horror stories from other hospitals, but here I had a team from beginning to end. When they changed shifts they came by to say they were leaving and who would replace them etc. This made the world of difference. I had an emergency and through it all I remember hearing them use my name. Which sounds so small, but made a huge difference. They listened to every crazy first time mom concern and paranoia. I intended to send a thank you, but on the day of check out We forgot the packet with everyone's name. Also, they called when I eas home for over a month just checking up on me and baby. He's almost two, and I will never forget hearing them use my name while he was being born, not "the patient" or "she" my name.

Kat Lemon

Had a 2 day stay for a personal reason, and every nurse, doctor, staff personnel that I had dealt with was absolutely amazing. Everyone was kind and attentive. They quickly helped me when I came in with major pain, even when I was not so nice (pain makes people frazzled). I would recommend this hospital to anyone and if I have a medical emergency I will be going there again. (McNeal in l&d is a saint and I hope you keep her on staff for a time longer, every nurse in the delivery room deserves recognition for their awesomeness and the l&d managers were so kind)

Neta Caples

Everyone on the surgical floor was so helpful and caring. I was in a lot of pain from a broken hip and a fractured shoulder. Surgery on my hip went well. Afterwards, I was transferred to HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood Rehab department. I can honestly say I had the best of the best physical and occupational therapist that Kingwood has to offer. Everyday there was improvement. I was truly blessed to have been treated at the HCA Kingwood facility.

Dolores Kietzman

They are very professional and treat you well. I was pleased.

Roshonda Richard

Took great care of me while I was there ..nice staff

Kristi Gardner

My 83-year old mom has been at this hospital for a week. The lack of care she has received is unbelievable. She would go hours without her pain medication, including 5 hours upon arrival in the ER. I had her pain meds with me and they wouldn’t let me give her any. They are suppose to check on each patient every hour during the day and initial a chart in the room. She would go more than 2 hours without being checked on. Yesterday, the chart was not even initialed during one shift and this was 6 hours into the shift. The chart was marked that she was went to the restroom 1 day when they did not even get her out of bed. (She had asked to go) The food service is terrible. She was brought a liquid meal twice for 1 meal when she was suppose to be on solids. She asked for milk at every meal and they continued to bring her only tea. It took us several days to get her off the low sodium diet, which she should have never been on because her sodium levels were too low. She asked for a private room while we were in the ER and they took her to a double occupancy room while telling her they would find her a private room. It took 2 days and a call to management of the hospital to get her moved. Now let’s talk about HIPA. That room was a violation of her HIPA rights. Everyone in that room could here every conversation with nurses and doctors about her private health. They were told my mom was on antibiotics for a UTI. 2 days later we had to pick up the results from her doctor to give to the hospital before they put her back in antibiotics. I will never step foot in this hospital again for care.

Everyone we encountered in the outpatient facilities was "phenomenal". Thank you for making all of us feel at ease and for keeping us informed.

Mike Moore

Patient attentive, very kind an concerned for our daughter kept us informed all in pediatric er

Arrangements were made with Kingwood hosp on 9/26/19 for me to be admitted on 10/6/19, for a a medical procedure followed by a cardio version. At 8:00pm I was called by the hosp to be admitted through E.D. and taken to my room. On arrival The printer was not working in the E.D. so my name tag ID bracelet was not given to me. upon being taken to my room I was asked for my DR's orders. I had no such documents. At 9pm I was supposed to receive a particular medication in preparation for Tuesdays cardio version. The medication did not arrive. None of my night time meds, Blood pressure, eliquis to prevent blood clotting and stoke as well as several others never arrived. I had brought mine own from home at took them before bed. At 11pm I was chastised for taking my own medication, which never appeared from the hosp. At 2am I was woken by staff to ask how tall I was. At several misc times I was woken for blood draws, ect. At 9am staff arrived with no medication including the medication needed for the cardio version the next day. I asked why and the nurse called her supervisor to ask how she was going to administer meds, as I had no name tag and SHE DID NOT KNOW WHO TO BILL. Loosing my cool just a little i advised I didn't care who was billed. Meds were given. At 11 am I still had no water or meals. I also had brought my own food because I just knew this would fail. After some discussion with my DR and a call to the office by by wife things began to flow smoothly. The cardio version was completed on time and i was released Tuesday afternoon. In fairness, this was my 4th trip to kingwood hosp this year. the previous three went smoothly with no issues and good treatment by all staff. My oct. 6th visit was a real fail.

Toby Grace

Terrible hospital. We think my dad had a stroke but he’s been in the hospital for an entire day and they haven’t even run any tests yet! It took them an entire day just to get him in a room. Avoid this horrible place at all costs if you want decent healthcare services!

william rivera

Excellent service , best nurses ever and very friendly . They make you feel like family

Tyler Cecil

Great experience with the delivery of our baby and care during stay. Low rating due to taking HOURS to discharge us after doctor and nursery both cleared us to go. When we asked the nurses about being being discharged, they were very rude and talked about being “busy” as they continued to chat and laugh...

BARBARA MANNING

My husband had surgery today. The team was great. His pre-op appointment was so smooth and quick. Pam was wonderful. Day of Surgery, the check in was great. I could tell the really cares about my husband. The Doc came out after surgery and provide me all info to know that surgery went well. Thanks Dr Garay. He was placed on 3ST and had amazing staff. Molly, Morgan, Kelli, Nicole all did great work and provided everything my husband needed for his recovery. Kingwood is a great place to receive care with great staff. Thanks

Christine Raboy

All the nurses who assisted me are the best.Thank You Very Much for taking good care of me.

Jason Currie

Horrible!!! Went in for abdominal pain and never got treated for it. ER nurses were kids and were not professional. Waited 8hrs for a room, and was put into a holding room. I'm diabetic and was denied food for about 8 hrs. I checked myself out and went to a smaller hospital and got the care I deserve.

Cheryl Riley

Its ok it you have a cold but me personally id would not was my time ITS THE MEDICAL CENTER DOWNTOWN FANNIN @ MAIN. STREET.NO IF AND OR BUTS . ITS JUST FACTS

LAURA MARICLE

Excellent care - nurses are so caring with their patients. The entire staff went out of their way to ensure that my husband was comfortable during his hospital stay.

m t

They wouldnt treat me because i brought my teen. Said children not alowed. Emergencys are sudden. Very bad service.

Chelsea Jordan

My review is only in regards to the Day Surgery department, because that is who I interacted with. I had never had any type of surgery before, and every single person I interacted with was super nice and caring. In the following week and a half, they checked up on me by phone, and sent me a card in the mail with the signatures of the people who helped with the surgery. Hopefully I won't need to go back any time soon, but the Day Surgery department is excellent.

L L

DON'T GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!! My 79 YO mom went to ER for diverticulitis. She was told she had a heart attack and they admitted her. Hospital Dr. made rounds and told her she didn't have a heart attack and that ER just likes to tell people that but that she had diverticulitis a UTI, and fluid on the outside of her lungs and that the leaking enzyme from her heart (test run) was due to pain. Hospital Cardiologist said her enzymes were going up and she had a mild heart attack. Another doctor said she didn't. Cardiologist who took her to the cath lab said he wasn't convinced she did. Afterwards he said she didn't. Obviously no one could get consensus and just kept confusing her and scaring her. Before the cath lab, my mom was complaining about not being able to breathe and she was being told that there was no fluid in her lungs. Finally the nurse called the doctor and said she needed an x-ray with her standing. Turns out she had fluid in both lower lobes - they had given her too much fluid and she has CHF so..... They blew her IV twice. My sister was there and had to tell the nurse to take the blood pressure cuff off of her so that it would quit acting like a tourniquet . Blood was everywhere because they were giving her heparin. The nurse told my sister she learned something new! Unbelievable. 5 days later my mom was back with pain when she inhaled. Her BNP and D-Dimer were elevated (nurse told us) but CAT scan came back normal. I had to ask the ER doctor about the tests and he had to look them up when he said she was fine and nothing was wrong. She was admitted for observation for musculoskeletal pain. In the observation room the nurse told her she had fluid in her lungs (not mentioned by ER doctor). When my mom asked what happens if they can't get the fluid out with LASIX she was told by the nurse they would aspirate her. I found out that there was just trace amounts of fluid. Why tell a patient that is the next step instead of the truth that there was hardly any there? The doctor that had admitted her told her the next day that she is fine and that all of her heart and lung tests the prior week were good and she didn't need to keep coming back to the hospital - that they were good for the next 5 years. I said, "except for your June 12th consult appointment for heart valve replacement." and the doctor said, "Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me. I forgot about that." There's more but I think you get the point.

Faye Wallace

While my relative was in the hospital she received excellent care. The nurses were amazing! The respiratory therapists were fantastic. They were patient, thorough, reliable and they just took care of her. They put her care at the top of their priority list. I was very pleased with our experience.

Patrick Alarcón

Let me start off by saying I have always gone to this hospital since I was a teenager, My daughter was even born here but my last experience here will be the last time I waste my time coming here. I got really sick from a food poisoning and dehydration that required me to go to the ER. Only positive I had that night is that wait was minimal. After they ran a bunch of blood test (which of course get charged separate from the ER visit) they took me to a room that had blood stain on the wall which shows how well they clean the place. After they took me to the room they just left me in there for about 2 hours and when they went in to check up on me they noticed they had not even put the IV on me! So I just sat there feeling horrible for 2 hours because they all forgot to do their job! How does that happen?! Never had a Dr. talk to me, but sure did get billed by a Dr. so appreciate that. No bed in the room to rest so they had me in an uncomfortable chair there the whole time. overall horrible experience and next time I ever need to go to a hospital I'll be looking elsewhere.

chris bright

As I walk through the hospital hallways and count 6 empty rooms I wonder why my 75 year old father has been waiting in the ER hallway #10 for more than 15 hours. Oh yeah he's here with a broke left hip so its ok for him to stay in the hallway until his surgery the next morning and keep getting his broke hip hit by staff moving other patients

Horrid!!!! My elderly aunt who has mental issues fell broke her hip and was admitted over night. Her sister and care taker who is 80 stayed over night with her for two nights. The aunt who stayed to give care comfort and make it easier on the nurses was told the hospital did not have anything she could sleep on. This eighty old woman slept on the FLOOR!!!!! They drill patients about abuse and it appears the hospital does not practice what they preach!

Staff was very attentive and caring. Follow up calls were made.

The staff here took great care of me for my recent surgery. They patiently answered all of my questions & some I had not thought about. They also treated my family with great respect & answered their questions as well. My overall experience was great & went smoothly through discharge.

Quick, accurate, they get the job done no time is wasted. The ER waiting time is very quick.

I have nothing but positive accolades for the Kingwood Medical Center ER and ICU staff! During a recent stay at the Kingwood Medical Center my husband received wonderful care from the entire staff. Everyone was professional and did a great job. Every nurse that was assigned to his care was very compassionate and proficient at their job. Even the cleaning crews were polite and did an amazing job keeping the room spotless. Great job Kingwood Medical!!

I called the hospital to ask about my prior date visit so I could set an appointment for my next. The woman told me I had to come to the hospital so they could verify who I was. I live an hour away!!! I wasn’t asking for specific details of test results or anything like that just a freaking date!!!! She informed me she couldn’t give me that information over the phone. Worst ever!!!!! I’ve received more details than a date over the phone from other places!!

I wish we could give zero stars. Please NEVER GO HERE TO HAVE YOUR CHILD. Before we were even admitted, our room was given away and without consulting our doctor, we were moved 5 Days later. After explaining my wife was a high risk natural birth candidate we were told to “go ahead and come up, but I can’t promise we’ll get you a nurse.” In the meantime someone from financial called and threatened to not admit us if we didn’t pay $900. After explaining we had insurance and selected post birth billing they threatened again and I hung up. Asked to speak to someone from that department the four days we were there and nobody showed. So labor and delivery was not that bad except my wife was never told when the last time she could eat was and so didn’t eat for 36 hours (except ice chips) and when she could the kitchen did not deliver her tray. Thank goodness for grub hub. South tower, second floor was a nightmare. My wife was cleared within 24 hours of birth. The held my daughter an extra 24 hours then refused to disclose why, refused to tell us when we could expect the pediatrician, and literally said, if you don’t like it here, you’re welcome to leave AMA but your insurance probably won’t pay. The smirked and walked out! My wife’s linens weren’t changed the whole 3 days we were there and when they pulled my daughter for a test, I caught them changing her at the computer desk at the nurses station explaining later that their nursery had been removed. Why would she not have just changed her in our room Or EVEN LET US KNOW YOU WERE GOING TO CHANGE HER CLOTHES!! 13 hours after my daughters tests cleared her the pediatrician rolled in. Everything is always late, disrespectful or disgusting avoid this place at all costs. We even requested a supervisor and a social worker, the supervisor showed 4 hours later and the social worker never showed. Nothing like being imprisoned on hold against your will to make you feel great about the health and safety of your children’s care.

Had knee replacement here on May 14, 2019 and sent home morning of May 15, 2019. This was at least one day to early. Was told that their Joint Replacement Center would provide in hospital physical therapy before discharge. What was provided was a very short walk in my room and in the hall. Could not go down the hall as there was a patient waiting on a gurney for a room assignment. The doctor that released me, he was not my surgeon, prescribed medication that was no where sufficient to handle the post surgery pain. I ended up in the emergency room at a different hospital to get relief from my pain. My surgeon was fine.
