Lovely, trendy salon, no gross ammonia smell, great music. Color and cuts are great! They can do basic colors and funky ones. Facials are amazing. All natural ingredients and JoAnn the owner makes her own natural products!

The service here is top-notch and I love their focus on natural products. I've seen Mariska twice now and each time I've walked away loving my cut (I don't color my hair, so I can't say much about that). The price is totally fair and it definitely feels like a nice spa/salon experience. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new style or even touch-up.

My first time there was yesterday 7/15/15 and I had an appointment booked with Mariska. The appointment was for my daughter with extremely thin hair. Mariska gave her a great cut making her hair look fuller. She also took alot of time to talk to me about what I should and shouldn't be doing to care for thin/ thinning hair. I highly recommend Mariska because she knows what she's doing and you can tell she genuinely cares about educating people.

I've now had my hair cut twice by Mariska and I would highly recommend her! The first time I saw her, I went in with a blah haircut that just wasn't working and wasn't flattering. She cleaned it up, took out the chunkiness and Voila!-- I now had a HAIRSTYLE not just a haircut. Mariska is friendly, professional, and capable. And I LOVE being able to schedule online!

My husband and I have had nothing but the best experiences at Flipp salon in Providence (with highlights and haircuts, in my case, but just haircuts for him). The first time I tried Flipp, I saw JoAnna. She did a remarkable job of refreshing my partial highlights, making them look natural, yet stunning. My hair color had so much more dimension after that appointment. The next time I visited Flipp, JoAnna was on vacation or booked, so I tried Shanna, who was new to the salon at the time. She was FANTASTIC! Her tremendous skill was clearly evident as she colored my hair in a way that looked natural, flawless, and exquisitely beautiful, while using a formula that helped preserve the health of my hair. Her placement of highlights was particularly well thought out. Most recently, my husband and I went to Flipp together. He normally doesn't like to get his hair cut professionally, but after my great experiences at Flipp, he decided to come with me for his birthday. This time, I saw Shanna again; he saw Joe. We both left extremely satisfied. I got the best haircut of my life from Shanna, and my husband was so impressed, he decided to start regularly getting his hair cut by Joe. We both feel that the stylists we see at Flipp do a fantastic job of listening to what we want, incorporating their professional understanding of our hair textures, etc., and translating that information perfectly, relying on their highly honed skills. They also take into account our lifestyles, which don't always allow us to visit a salon as often as we would like. Shanna gave me highlights that could grow out a little and still look great, while Joe gave my husband a haircut that he could wear for upwards of 6 - 7 weeks. We love their flexibility and individualized approach to each client's wants and needs.

I want to talk about skincare at Flipp. To begin, I had no idea they had Facial/Skincare services until I really payed attention to their website (ma bad). In the past 18 years of my life, I have experienced the excellent, the good, the mediocre, and the ugly of aestheticians/facialists. Since I moved from Montreal QC, I have been looking for a good fit for my skincare needs. To me, a facial treatment is a time for relaxation, decompressing after a long day, week, month. After almost 10 years of experimenting with different salons, spas and facialists, I can say that I met a perfect match: Sandra! Sandra Giraldo, with her nurturing care has once again brought the excellence in skin treatment. Her calm demeanor makes me feel comfortable, and thus, I was able to finally relax (just as when you are in Shavasana pose at yoga class). A big plus is that she creates her own skincare products, which is a natural mixture of essential oils, and uses them for her treatments. As I stated, the products are natural: they smell divine, won't aggravate my sinuses and don't irritate my skin. So go to Sandra for all your skin care needs! I promise that you will feel refreshed, and your skin will look and feel amazing!!!
