I had hand tied extensions installed by Stori Vincent and her work was nothing short of awful. The hair was installed with unnecessarily thick black thread (I have brown hair) and she failed to shadow root the hair as well. I paid $1,000 for this installation and was ill-educated on how terrible it really looked, as this was my first experience with hand tied. 6 weeks later I paid $250 for my move up and Stori placed the hair so unbelievably high that NO matter how I styled my hair, they were blatantly obvious. (I also left the salon with ugly brassy color on the extensions due to her installing hair that didn’t match mine and her color job having faded so intensely from just 6 weeks prior.) I begged her for 7 days to please make an adjustment to the placement of my extensions, she told me she was too busy, and her response was “If what I offer isn’t enough, it’s probably best that you find somebody less busy to suit your needs.” I asked her to reimburse me since I was forced to go elsewhere to have her mistakes corrected and she gave me a whopping $50 back. A local salon owner worked me in on a Sunday to color and reinstall my extensions, which I am extremely grateful for, but cost me even more money.
I’ve experienced less than stellar work by stylists before and that has never warranted a poor review for all to see. What I found most appalling was when I reached out to the owner to inform her of my experience. I emailed her my experience, the exact same photos attached here, and left my phone number for her to reach out to me for further questions/discussion. I received an email back with 2 sentences:
Hi Briana,
As with all of the stylist at Bombshell Beauty Bar, Stori Vincent is self employed and her business relationship with me is as a tenant. With that said, however, we do work like a team and I fully support each of them knowing they handle client relations in a professional manner given the clients roll in any issue.
Warm regards,
Carlye Trogdon
Beware ladies. I hope you don’t have any issues with “a tenant” at this salon, but if you do, it’s clear how your concerns will be addressed by the owner.
