The course has just reopened and they have done a pretty good job getting it in shape. Greens a little ruff but playable. Restaurant/bar price pretty high.

Overstand

Only place where you can lose a ball in the fairway. Horrible maintenance. Hope it improves could be a great course. Staff is exceptionally nice. And to The smart mouth owner, The "wet" winter doesn't seem to be affecting other courses in the area, ONLY YOURS. But hey, you know what they say about excuses.

Good place for cheap golf but it isn't in the greatest shape but what do you expect for 27 bucks senior walking.

Reasonably priced. Older course. It often plays more difficult than it looks. When really wet it is tough.

It has reopened under new owners and they are working hard at bringing it up to top notch shape. The staff were pleasant and the new carpet and changes to the restaurant looked good.

This course has potential. But the greens and fairways are just not well kept and the overall course was just not good! Not only that they are WAY over priced for what your getting. Will not be golfing here again

Can't play during the summer because of the flowers, can't play in the winter because their is no draining system and the course floods. Overall, it is a crappy golf course for and charge way to much

The prices are to much 33 for 18 holes and 24 for cart and 15 for the other person sorry this will be my last time playing here. I wouldnt mind paying if the course was better kept.

Website says open till 730 walked in at 530 on a Saturday and couldn’t rent a cart because they were “slow” change your hours on the website to 530 on a Saturday if your not gonna rent out carts.

My favorite golf course! Very pretty and not crowded. A great country walk in Salem area. Also enjoyed the restaurant and bar with outside seating facing the first tee.

They charged full price ($48 for 18 holes with cart)....they are not watering the fairways and they have lost the greens. I would not recommend this course until they get it corrected....it could be a nice, open course

The course is nothing more than a cow pasture....and thats an insult to cows. I played this course soon after the new owners arrived and it was in bad shape from lack of care. Well its been 5 months and the course is worse shape now. The real kicker is that they are already charging summer rates for this mess

fun little course. small greens. fairly wide open but there is plenty of trouble. the course took our group of 20 on short notice after cross creek gave away the carts we reserved. there was no beverage cart but the marshal got a cooler of ice and ran out to offer beverages to us and other people playing.

I have golfed this course four times since April 1st and it is very well manicured. The driving range is perfect because it's covered as well with a separate putting green. It has an extremely clean atmosphere within the restaurant and has video poker which I enjoy at times, I even won 2 of 3 times I played! All in all I give this course five stars because of the low premium for 18 holes and all around experience amongst service from faculty and cleanliness. I will continue to return. Four!

Oak Knoll is becoming a course that continues to get better.. after being closed most of last year the new management has vastly improved and so has the course quality. There are stll issues but its obvious they aren't being ignored. Its challenging and fun..

The course is fine with a nice clubhouse for the local area. Access is very easy with parking right off the highway. The driving is great in the spring and summer as you can hit off off grass, which is much better than the mats.

Just moved back to Salem. I haven't played Oak Knoll since 2008. Nice to see the new owners getting it back to great shape. Liked it so much I got a membership.

Horribly maintained course. Worst I’ve ever seen. Greens are like a mine field. Greens fees are higher than other courses that are perfectly maintained. Honestly I was surprised not to see rocks on the greens that appeared to be spray painted green. I’ll never go back. Still shot 36. Good luck to new owners. You might want to do some construction on all greens though. Good luck

Extremely disappointed, we came here a couple of years ago and the burgers were amazing. This time was the complete opposite. Completely burnt and charred burgers. Less than desirable service, felt like we were a burden. Will not be going back.

Nice quiet course with very friendly staff. My family plays here a lot. Only deducted one star for the greens. They were rough early in summer but they have improved a lot. I was told the repair is priority by new owner. Once they are fully healed I will change to 5 star. Still going to keep going though. :)

Great day at Oak Knoll! Course was in excellent condition and the rough was nearly as short as the fairway! Nice wide fairways! Friendly helpful staff! Will definitely return to this course!

We had a lovely tasty lunch today. My husband and I split the chicken quesadilla and a beautiful house salad. The owner Carla introduced herself, fireplace was light, atmosphere was delightful. Please visit this restaurant you will love it! They are open breakfast, lunch and dinner with lots of specials through out the week and weekend.

Fun course, nice staff. Fairways are tight, tree lined. The day we played the greens were very slow. Greens are small so distance control is key. Par 4s are 350 370 from. Pace of play was perfect. Fun day, shot 83.

The greens are atrocious. Honestly it is the worst condition course I have ever played and only played because my friend wanted to play. Frankly the owners should be ashamed of the prices they are charging people for how dismal the course is. It is not a course I would ever recommend to anyone. Drive to Cross Creek or Dallas. Both are superior for the same price or less.

Only reason I gave it a 3 is because the tacos are so good. Greens were poorly managed and the whole coarse is dry and hard as a rock. Maybe when it gets closer to winter it will be better

Use to love the golf course but when they don't care its gone. Ordered food only a hot dog. It was cold and all her little kids were there and I love kids but not at when she is cooking and servicing drinks.. Sorry Oak Knoll

This course is amazing I didn't get the play due to a tournament that was going on but I was able to have an incredible meal consisting of some of their in-house Smoked Meats and several drinks in the lounge.

Great course for beginners, this was my first time there and my wife’s second time being at a course at all. Food was delicious, the staff was awesome. We played the front 9 and I have to say it was a different experience. I shot a 48 which is average for me lately so I’m not mad at my score. The tee box’s were hard as a rock and you could barely get your tee in even with the recent rain the last 2 days. The fairway was good, no complaints there. Then the greens... rough, slow, wet, and mostly patches to putt through. I know what your thinking, dry tee box and wet greens? It was a different experience. I will say the price was decent for what you get and because of how friendly the staff is we WILL be coming back. Just hoping the greens are in better shape which definitely cost us some strokes.

Course was not in playing condition. Fairways not cut or easy to tell where they were. Sand traps had yellow grass and greens were spotty. Staff were friendly but they could have notified us of the course condition.
