A very well taken care of golf resort in town. The course is beautiful

monroe goble

Had a great time at the resort.

Dawn Hetzel

Tullymore is beautiful and the staff is fabulous! I'm not an overly experienced golfer, but although the course is tough, I do enjoy playing there. The views on several of the tee boxes are incredible. I attended the Symetra tour tournament over the July 4th weekend. It was a very well run and organized event and I enjoyed walking the course with some of the golfers. I highly recommend Tullymore to anyone looking for a weekend getaway or an afternoon of golf.

Perry Jacobs

Tough course. Great layout.

I am giving Tulleymore 1 star for the following reason. This was my first time visiting tulleymore for golf, always heard it was a very nice course. Top 100 in the country according to golfers digest in 2007. We feed off at 7 pm for 9 holes and specifically scheduled it for that so we wouldn’t be rushed with anyone behind us. First let me say the course was lovely. We played the front nine and truly was gorgeous, price was steep compared to the Royals which is also a great course, but I couldn’t complain about the course whatsoever! However, I am giving this truthful review because of the experience I got when I arrived. The staff is what I had the biggest upset with. We arrive and the cart person, Greg I believe was friendly at first. We walked into the pro shop to be greeted by an extremely snobby and stuck up attendant named Chad. Very disappointed with the lack respect he treated us with. We left and headed out to the first hole where we found that the first cart boy, Greg, and also the ranger watched both of us as we tees off. Now we aren’t the best golfers but to follow us to the first tee to watch us hit was extraordinarily rude. Made both of us feel uncomfortable and put a bad taste in our mouth from the start. The ranger talked to us as if we had never golfed at a decent course and always didn’t treat us with respect. As we returned the carts, Greg didn’t even bother to tell us have a nice day. Very disappointed with the staff as a whole and most likely wont return for that sole reason. Too many other courses to play to be treated like that. Besides the staff, course was phenomenal!

The Tullymore course is one of the top-rated and finest championship golf courses in Michigan. This excellent tree-lined and open parkland layout contains a wealth of wonderfully crafted, memorable and challenging holes. Definitely a course that will challenge your all-round game, and well worth going out of your way to play to play.

I always have a great time at Tullymore. The golf is wonderful with two full courses, the food is incredible, and the service is top notch. It seems that the service has improved ten-fold in the last couple years. If you haven't been in a while, I highly recommend another visit. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing fields!

ralph pullis

Beautiful course but difficult for high handicap golfers. Greens are surrounded by hills with no easy pathway to green surface . Made more difficult when carts are directed off th fairway 60-80 yards before green. Many sloping lies when missing fairway.. Bottom line if you are higher handicap or have difficulty walking avoid this course.

darrell weber

Nice greens and layout

Steve Japinga

Simply the best in Michigan! I enjoyed every moment at Tullymore, including a few shanks to the right! The staff are first class and the entire experience was just perfect. I 100% recommend and love Tullymore!

I had an incredible experience at Tullymore/St. Ives this past weekend. I had been planning it months ahead of time and dealt with Marty M. through the booking process. He was very helpful in securing us the best deal. Overall for (4) golfers, (1) round at St. Ives, (1) round at Tullymore, and (1) night stay at The Inn at St. Ives - it came out to $290 per person. The courses were incredible, coming from Chicago we dont get topographical change like that. Tons of wildlife, saw deer on 6/36 holes. I would recommend the play/stay package and I would definitely come back again

cheryl Maier

We were at Tullymore for their vacation sales pitch which include their "free" gift for being there it was nothing more than a scam of a gift. You had to pay for what you were lead to beleive was free (air line tickets) and you have to jump thru a hundred hoops and maybe after all this it may work out and the second "free Gift" was for three days of a rental car which ended up costing more that if you just rented a car. I was going to file a complaint with the BBB but they already have 85 complaints listed. If Tullymore operates like this or hires someone to represent them like this I would want NO Part Of Tullymore or to support them.

JonKathie Curtiss

Best course in W Michigan. Awesome dining!

Kim Peters

Worst experience in a long, long time at the restaurant. Came specifically for a birthday celebration. Booked a reservation and it took more than 20 minutes just to get our waters. And hour and a half later, our food still hasn't arrived. I even had to go up multiple times to ask for more water for our table. One in our party is a vegetarian. Asked about the lasagna and it came out with meat in it. Skip this place all together.

Phil Lakota

Extremely challenging. A lot of blind shots off the tee making it tough to hit driver from the whites for big hitters. Greens were a bit slow today but we're in great shape. A lot of fun to play.

mitzy Johnson

Th food is good but always he service it's to behind they take forever bring or take your order.......

Dave Dzuris

Great service (Jordan) and really good food. Music on the patio was overly loud though!

Leon Underhill II

This is a beautiful resort that includes 2 top notch golf courses and all the amenities you can think of.

Unfortunately didn't get to play the course. But the fairways looked great. Nice golf club and rooms at the resort are 3 stars.

Russell Emmons

What can you say. Premium golf at it's best. A bit pricy but worth it. Downside for me was walking up and down hills from the parking areas to the greens. Was exhausted when done.

Paul Garcia

Great course.

Carey King

Food was decent, drinks were good. Average for the area restaurants though.

Michael Politz

Great golf and pro shop!

Where to start, showed up with 15 guys. some stayed in the cottages, others at the hideaway. Day one at the cottage. 10 of us were sitting around the dining room table counting skin money and having drinks. The table gave out on us sending beer and money everywhere. Called to get the table replaced. They brought in a plastic foldable table which sat 5. No mention of being charged for the table that was clearly already broken and folding in on itself for the entire 3 day stay. 3 days post golf trip, We were informed that we'd be charged $250 to replace the broken table. After photos were sent showing us sitting around the table that clearly looks to be on its last leg, we were informed that we weren't going to be charged for the table. After this fiasco, I wrote a Google review explaining how piss poor the customer service was and how we were treated. 13 days post golf trip, 9 of us were randomly charged $25 for unknown reasons and weren't given any explanation other than " if the bad review was removed, we'd get our money back". After a bunch of run around on the phone and being hung up on repeatedly by their manager J@anne. We all contacted our credit card company to deny the random 2 week out charge to our cards. Pretty sure charging people's cards for no reason 2 weeks past our golf trip is unlawful and a felony in most states. Do your research. The course is nice, the service is awful and from reading other reviews, they seem to have a long track record of taking money from people and delivering horrible customer service. Take your money elsewhere.

Course was very nice, but not the guy in the pro shop.

Dylan Thrift

In great shape and provided amazing service. Design of the course was ok, but St. Ives is MUCH better course

Anna Rita Gunnett

Loved it!

Gary Farina

Great Courses, great lodging accommodations, and great people. Outstanding experience.

julian klepach

Highly recommended, awesome cozy cottages , family atmosphere with fireplace. Attentive friendly staff.

Angela Gonzalez

Food quality was excellent. Wait time was on the slow side.

Nathan Schwinnen

Great time at Tullymore. Beautiful course. I spoke with the CEO, Matt, at the turn for a while. Very nice guy. He wanted to make sure I was enjoying my experience. One suggestion- I made my tee time online and paid $85, which was the after 3PM rate. When I got to the course I was told they had a special that day for $70 any time after noon. So make sure you call the course before booking a tee time.

David Miller

Outstanding restaurant!

Matthew Caplan

Best course in Michigan.

Franklin Frost

Played Tullymore in the morning and St. Ives in the afternoon. One great day of golf. The 18th is a great finishing hole, a par 5 with water down the left side making you consider the risk/reward for going at it in two.

Michael J. Fowler

Money focused, disrespectful. Be ready to be chased around the golf course by the head pro who told our group he didn't care about my disability, we better play 18 in 4:10 or he was going to make us skip holes. When we asked for our money back, he left. The rangers said our pace was just fine and shook their heads at his antics. He conveniently left before we could finish our round to give him a piece of our mind. We logged complaints with management and and they claimed to be outraged but nothing happened. Once they get your money, service goes out the window. All they care about is getting your money.

Christopher Reeve

Beautiful course, no doubt about that. However, when I pay decent money to play golf, I expect very little wait time on holes. Granted, we played on a beautiful October weekend, but a course with this kind of feel should certainly be better at spacing their golfers. We had some par 5's where there were three different parties on the hole. Unacceptable pace for the money. When I mentioned this to the staff, they were extremely apathetic about my concerns. Equal or better courses out there for a similar price range.

Chris G

During our stay there was construction in nearly every room on our floor. That wasn't a big deal.. except apparently they were behind schedule so they we working late into the night. The second night of our stay they were work until nearly midnight. I spoke to someone at the front desk which is how I found out they were behind schedule in the construction. No apology or anything he basically said they were behind and that they would be working late. This continued every night of our stay which made it a completely terrible experience. I should mention we had our 1 year old with us which made the situation that much more worse because he was constantly getting woken up at night and during the day due to the construction noise.

Graham Filler

Playing this course is pure joy. Lots of fascinating shots to play. One of my favorite courses in Michigan; difficult but playable for all skill levels.

Jason Hawkins

I had the pleasure of visiting Tullymore twice this summer--once as a player and once as a spectator for the Symetra Tour event. Both experiences were wonderful. The course was in fantastic condition, the staff was courteous and helpful, and the food was amazing. Already looking forward to my next trip to Tullymore and Canadian Lakes!

Walter Wilson

WOW. Great golf, great staff. Rangers keep it moving and it's worth the price.

David Klein

I had the opportunity to play Tullymore and attend the Tullymore Symetra Tour event over the past summer. I found the course to be in excellent condition and the hospitality top notch. The staff was very helpful and did a wonderful job in hosting the tournament as well as providing a wonderful golfing experience. I encourage golf enthusiasts play Tullymore and also plan on visiting the Tour stop in the coming year.

Harry Clancy

Tullymore is a fantastic golf facility as is it's sister course, St. Ives. Fast greens and beautiful scenery will keep avid golfers content. The only negeative I have is come prepared if you are staying for the weekend. This remote town of Stanwood Michigan seems to shut down at 9:30 at night. Couldn't even get a pizza. Lol. Anyway, don't let that stop you from enjoying a wonderful round or two of golf!

Tim Gilchrist

Fantastic golfing and accomadations

Jim Sandy

Beautiful course, nice accommodations, friendly staff. We had a great time.

Greg Windingland

Great facility.

Mike Dockus

First time playing it, need to do it again.

Kevin Cooper

Tully and Ives were in great shape. Excellent challenging courses indeed. The staff memebers from the hotel, cart guys, starter, wait staff all were friendly, helpful and fun to talk with. It was my first visit, and I hope to visit again. Thank you Tullymore for making it a great weekend!!!!

Sandy Bissett

It was terrible. I didn't like the course at all. It wasn't worth the price.

Joseph Kopins

Nice course, poor service. CEO and GM walked around letting everyone know he was CEO and GM (ok dude). Unapproved charges on my CC weeks after my visit

James

Great resort. Beautiful courses.

Joe Aguirre

Tonight was 'Fiesta Night' or so they say, at the club house. Worst fiesta dinner ever. First thing wrong was the margaritas, taste like water and food coloring, wasn't even frozen. Asked the waitress if I could get a frozen margarita and she asked, What is that? After telling her, she said she doesn't know if they have a blender. What kind of restaurant/bar doesn't have a blender, especially the high fluten Tullymore. What a joke! No Latino music playing during dinner. No music at all. Dinner was a buffet style and only one cook, cooking the fajita mix in the smallest pans ever. Not to mention the line was pretty long. No Coronas or Dos Equis at all. No hot sauce. My wife and I will never go there again.

Farron McDonald

They held a Christmas party for kids and my 3 were a part of it. Wonderful people with good hearts. Its nice to know there are still people out there that care!

My wife and I did the 2 day package, and stayed at the Inn at St. Ives, which was clean, but nothing special (no refridge either). Also the pool was closed which was a letdown. The courses were both in immaculate condition and we enjoyed that they are very different in style. Even though Tullymore is the more acclaimed, we actually enjoyed the beauty and elevation changes of St. Ives a bit more. As for customer service, the starter, the young man in the clubhouse, and our waitress at St. Ives, (I should have written down their names) were very nice, as well as the cart girls at both courses, However, the people at the Inn and in the pro shop at Tullymore, while not rude, were not overly friendly or welcoming. Also the buffet at Tullymore is not worth the money, especially if you are paying full price. We had $5 vouchers and still felt it was not worth it .....who charges for coffee and beverages on a buffet??!!?? So even with voucher, our bill with coffee was about $22 for a very average buffet. In summary, both are great courses, and glad we played them, but when in the Mt. Pleasant area, I find the Pohlcat and Bucks Run to be a better value and more welcoming.

Ken Freeman

Very well maintained and friendly staff

Jeff Gooder

Great !!!

Sarah Fierk

Tullymore is gorgeous! We had an amazing time on the course, and enjoyed it's Pure Michigan beauty! The course is challenging, but has something for every level golfer. We will definitely be back. Tullymore management has done a fantastic job keeping the course, clubhouse, food, drink, events, and more top notch. Highly recommended!

Nancy Olivieri

Fabulous lunch with my family after a wonderful Sunday mass.

peter czajkowski

Great course but may be too hard for high handicaps.

James Shoup

The grounds are spectacular. There is a bronze bust of an eagle going into the clubhouse. The staff welcomed us at the entrance. The space that we occupied was amble for the event. The room was well lit as one side of the venue was all windows with a beautiful view of that which is truly a work of art, nature. This is an upscale place; it is not for those who don’t have the resources to spend a considerable amount of money. A very nice venue for groups if you can afford it.

Carol Banfield

Lovely but hard course.

Tony Lew

Sweet!!

Fred Altvater

Tullymore & it's sister course offer great golf with upscale atmosphere. Former host for Symetra tour event. Comfortable accommodations. Perfect for group trips.

Robert Garvelink

A great golf course in Northern Michigan although pace of play can be an issue at times. Overall a must play although It does not have the Northern Michigan feel.

Tom Hensley

Peter Vitale

Love the Tullymore. Joined as a social member sever months ago after I attended the Symetra Tour there. Don Williams, Dan Carlson, and Joann Ministrelli are running an amazing facility. I live in the Metro Detroit area and am up at Tullymore every few weeks.

Armando Luis Rupérez Benavides

Andrew Acton

Awesome course. Great condition and greens roll very true. Bring extra balls though unless you're a single digit handicapper.

steve russell

The course is in great shape and we had a good time.

Robert Paulsen

Loved it here. Tullymore golf course is beautiful. You can see what you need to do on every hole except one.

Mitch Parmerlee

The only reason I gave this course a 4/5 is solely on price. There are courses close by of equal quality for half the cost of Tulleymore (i.e. Pilgrim's Run). On the other hand it is a very nice course and is one to cross off the 'supreme Michigan golf courses' bucket list.

Josh Zarlenga

The lodge was cool. Plenty of space and private rooms. The golf course has a great layout and is in good shape.

Brian Pilarski

One of the best courses in Michigan

David Greeno

Love this place, golf course is beautiful and great for all skill levels

Jennifer Brown

Rooms are very nice, the only draw back is there is only one bathroom. Very quiet and peaceful. Both times we visited the pool it was not busy at all. Beautiful kitchen area. There is a grocery store 5 minutes away that also has wine and liquor.

Robert Florian

Beautiful setting. Great course!

Scott Hedges

Top notch golf courses and nice accommodations but that's where the positives end. Customer service was horrible. Management caters to members while disregarding the needs of guests. A member of our group left a negative review and it resulted in a bogus charge to our credit cards. We were told we'd be refunded if the negative review was removed. Not sure that's even legal.. Regardless, really a shame that incompetent management has ruined such a great golf facility. I'd stay away until they make some changes.

Anna Kroll

Nice venue for a wedding

William Kennedy

Great golf. Always treated with respect by all of the employees. Mary ( a bartender) is well appreciated after a bad round and a good round I guess. Foods OK but over priced.

roy lewandowski

Awesome golf course

Ralph Russo

Some of the best golf in central Michigan.

Ron vance

Went there for a wedding.nice, clean place

Matt Smeenk

The shrimp scampi at my buddy's wedding was abysmal. He paid $6,500 and each guest got 4 baby shrimp spaghetti and Alfredo. Other than that it was great, but when half of the guests were hungry it ruins the night.

Horselover Fat

Worst customer service in all of Michigan golf. Highly recommended course if you enjoy 5+ hour rounds, rude waitstaff, worthless rangers, pompous attitudes, and overpriced green fees.

Chris_AL 11

First, I did not know they had timeshares there, so I wasn't there for the timeshare pitch(which is high-pressure and rude anywhere you go.); I went for the golf. I played yesterday, (10/12/15) and I must say that the course was fantastic. Accept for two greens that were partially aerated, the course was in perfect condition. I've played some more expensive courses, but this one was equal to or better than those. The employees that I encountered were very friendly to me. With the fall colors on the trees, the raked, white-powdered sand traps and all the other hazards made for a challenging, but unforgettable day of golf. No, I do not work for or affiliated with the course. If I didn't like it, I would say as much. If it wasn't 2 hours away from me, I would play there all the time. Fortunately, there are a lot of great golf courses in Michigan, so I have many that are closer by (Lansing). I will still go out of my way to play this course next year.

Danielle Groot

Never been here

The shrimp scampi at my buddy's wedding was abysmal. He paid $6,500 and each guest got 4 baby shrimp spaghetti and Alfredo. Other than that it was great, but when half of the guests were hungry it ruins the night.

Amazing! Challenging course but fun. Absolutely beautiful facilities, clubhouse and course!

Jeff Sams

Good test.

Josh Bredeweg

Beautiful location. Not much to do besides golfing

Luke Wyckoff

I got to play Tullymore two times last summer when I was home from Colorado. That course and a few others truly set the bar very high for golfing in Michigan. I'm looking forward to coming back next summer and taking some friends! Great Job Tullymore!!

Charles Brown

Great and challenging course

Sherrie Ogren

Beautiful place to visit and work.

John Quinn

Great course. Well maintained.

Mary Georges

We enjoyed a meal while listening to live music on the patio. Lovely.

Grand Rapids, West Michigan Real Estate Appraisers

Fantastic Golf course and amenities.

A.J. Lark

The greens at St. Ives were pretty unacceptable considering the rate they charge. Tullymore is a very good golf course but after leaving and playing Pohl Cat even those greens just aren't as good as they should be. Super soft and slow. I thought the hospitality was not nearly good enough either. I was with a group of 12 and it took 3 hours to have dinner at the resort so i would absolutely not recommend that as we were essentially robbed of one of our vacation nights because of this. We were one of 2 tables in the restaurant and we had reservations for about a week in advance so its not like we just surprised them with a 12 top table. The rangers were down right rude constantly hurrying us even though the group in front of us was in sight the whole time, almost like they just didn't have good comprehension for what their job is. Lastly we had 2 separate incidents where the room keys just stopped working, nothing like being on the golf course from 7am-7pm only to get home and not be able to access your room or any of your personal items. I don't think we will be coming back to Tullymore anytime soon.

hal raupp

Early season, grass isn't in mid-season form yet.

Patricia Anderson

Beautiful place, we attended a wedding & it was perfect. Excellent food & staff.

Lyree Adams

I went here for my anniversary. I did not enjoy my stay. The room was dingy and not very clean. The staff was rude and lacked basic customer service skill. I will not be back.

Jonathan Grubl

Rewriting my review from last year. Everything was awesome in terms of course conditions, rooms, food, etc. the group I had with me loved both courses and everything about it. There were two things that left bad tastes in our mouths. 1. Friday night at Tullymore after playing a round it took over 2 hours to get our food, eat, and leave. Not really a big deal, but when’s there’s no less than 20 people it should take that long. 2. When we booked are trip in Feb, we were told we would be the first tee times on Saturday at Tullymore and this would ensure we had enough time to make our tee times at St Ives in the afternoon....absolutely false. When we started on Sat, they’re was group of 12 in front of us. Not sure if the clubhouse tried to squeeze them in at the last minute but this ultimately hindered our day. The head ranger guy kept apologizing because the first group out of the 12 took 5 1/2-6 hours to finish they’re round and they were PLAYING A 4 MAN SCRAMBLE. this left us no choice but to leave the course with a few holes left in order to make our tee time at St Ives. We shouldnt be forced to skip a few holes playing $100+ for a round of golf because we were lied too and a group of 12 were squeezed in front of us. Tee times should def be spaced out more than 10 minutes apart.

Chuck Ricklefs

Beautiful place, tough course play the right tee box for your handicap lots of trouble.

The Tullymore Golf Resort in Stanwood Michigan sits nestled amongst 800 acres of pristine Michigan woods, meadows and wetlands, the perfect venue for a golf resort in The Great Lakes State. The Tullymore layout is unique in that there are five par-3 holes and five par-5 holes. And with five sets of tees (six on the scorecard thanks to the Combo tees), Tullymore offers a suitable yardage for all level of players. The course plays anywhere from 4,668 - 7,250 yards, with slopes that range from 120 – 150. In creating the golf course, it’s almost like Engh took a painting and recreated it on natural surfaces. The white sand bunkers glisten against the lush green fairways and greens and every inch of the property is meticulously maintained, from the bunkers to the water hazards. Engh has done a fantastic job positioning greens in unconventional ways, many of them angled away from the approaching fairway. What that means is smaller landing areas that require pinpoint accuracy on approach. Their subtle undulations will require good green reading skills as well. Tullymore is truly worthy of any serious golfer’s bucket list. Conditions are spectacular, staff is friendly and knowledgeable and, if you’re part of a stay and play package, the accommodations won’t disappoint. Tullymore is as refreshing to look at as it is fun to play. It doesn’t have the elevation changes of some Northern Michigan courses, but Tullymore will rival any course in this part of the state for aesthetic value. The white sand bunkers often lay several feet below the fairway or green complex and many of them are surrounded with grass mounds making them seem even deeper. The sand is soft and fluffy and easy to play from. If your score doesn’t live up to your expectations, relax and look around, you can’t help but enjoy the natural beauty and serenity of this property. Tullymore also has some impressive practice facilities, including a driving range that can accommodate 22 golfers at a time as well as separate areas for chipping and putting practice. Take advantage of this as, a good short game will go a long way to scoring well here. In addition to fantastic golf, Tullymore has some impressive accommodations that are part of their stay and play packages. Lodging options range from hotel-style rooms at the Hideaway, perfect for a couple’s getaway, to condominiums the Residence Club – 3- and 4-bedroom condos and custom cottages that can sleep up to ten people. Need something bigger? The Lodge at Tullymore has 10 bedrooms and can sleep up to 24 guests. All have high end amenities such as flat screen TVs in the living area and each bedroom as well as large outdoor patios. All stay and play packages include a buffet breakfast in the Taproom at Tullymore. The Taproom also serves lunch and dinner and Tullymore is famous for throwing some great events that are open to the public. On our visit, they were hosting a Craft Beer Festival, with craft brew from several local – and one distant – breweries as well as a southern barbecue buffet, with pulled pork, barbecued chicken and all the fixings. For golfers who develop an appetite while playing, there’s Tully's Halfway House, conveniently located at the turn. Grab a bite of lunch or a few snacks and your favorite beverages as you head to the back nine.

Richard Hinneburg

A little over priced for condition of golf course...Room was excellent ...Buffet was horrible

Michael Mccallum

Great course

Nicholas Dimarcello III

Great stay and great rates. Definitely explore their weekend packages. St. Ives was in immaculate condition.

Scott Greenlee

Tullymore is one of the finest resorts I have ever played, stayed, and dined at. The courses are challenging but playable for golfers of all levels with the different tee options. - both courses the resort offers are great and well maintained. I also attended the Symmetry TOUR Ladies Professional Event there this summer which was great - awesome to see that level of skill up close and it was great for the community. The food is excellent and I have stayed several times in different places on property as they have a large selection of overnight options and all have been good. I highly recommend golfers check this place out - great to play once course, spend the night, and play the other the next day. For the non- golfers, enjoy the food and drinks at this world class facility.

Daniel Tyiran

Wow, what a course!!! The greens we're fair and challenging. The course had a very good pace and the staff was really nice. The highlight was the shower after the round. It was very refreshing and helped us stay fresh for our 2 hour drive after.
