The fact this place has less stars than links of Novi is laughable. Salem is 10x better kept. Very solid greens and the course is a lot of fun.

I bought a group golfer for this course. Gave the pro shop my voucher then it rained. Didn't get to play. They tore up my voucher and they refused to give me a rain check.

Really nice course but the pace of play was abysmal. There were no rangers out there and I walked off after 14 holes, which took 4.5 hours. Will not be back.

Too $$ in spring...A nice track... clubhouse menu is good. They charge way to much for spring golf. Starters are aggressive at time as well.

Despite the fact of the course being in great shape. We had to wait ever hole today and the only hole we had to not wait on was number 8 and that was after the ranger told the group i front of us to pick up the pace. I'm a single digit handicap player and waiting on ever hole screws with my rhythm. And I'm a 100% rhythm player. I'm up on vacation from Florida and i used to live in Michigan and play here alot and i also played in a couple of amateur qualifiers as well at the course and we never had slow play then. The worst experience I've ever had at Salem Hills and ive played alot there.

Lovely golf course, fairways and greens are in good shape. Large practice green with a driving range. Range was a bit raw looking.

Course was in terrible condition, the rough was littered with grass clippings both fresh and dry which made it impossible to find golf balls both in the rough and even in the fairway. First and last time!

A quaint and cozy place to hit a round of balls. The staff is decently friendly once approached. The food will get you through your hunger pains until you are ready for something prepared properly.

Overall course is in good shape. Only issue is the sand traps. It's not sand but hard dirty that is difficult to get out of.

Nice folks in the clubhouse. Course is always in decent shape and pace of play is usually under 4 hours. (At least on Fridays)

Course is simple and ok. A good back 40 course without too much flare. The pro shop staff had a bit of a chip on their shoulder and we never saw a rangers all day. Our first group was able to play through a slow slow group and finished in just over 4.25 hours. Our second group wasn't able to play through the same group and finished in 5 .... and they teed off right behind us. A call by them to the pro shop did nothing but upset the staff there.

Unfortunately, my buddy and I had an exceptionally poor experience playing at Salem Hills the other afternoon. We made a late afternoon tee time, but were scheduled to get out right before leagues went off. We arrive at the teebox as a twosome, and get paired up (which we very much expected) with a couple nice younger guys - all seems well. At this point, the ranger casually informs us that we’ll be teeing off behind a fivesome (which should rarely be allowed out, much less during a peak weekday time slot). Playing behind the fivesome took 3 hours on the front 9 - no ranger or course marshal. At the turn, they begrudgingly let us play through. We flew through the next 8 holes, and we were going to have JUST enough time to finish before it got dark. As we come walking off of the 17th green, the fivesome, who was 4 holes behind us, drives up to the 18th tee. To our amazement, they tee off and play the hole, costing us another 15 minutes of wait time and forcing us to hit nearly blind shots because of darkness in order to finish our rounds off. The course design and conditions are of average quality, but the course management is quite poor.

Poor course management. They let a group that only booked three foursomes add 8 more players after they showed up and pushed everyones T time back 20 minutes. It took us almost three hours to play 9 holes with backups at each hole of at least 10 minutes. This is the second time Ive experienced excruciating slow play at Salem Hills. An uninteresting course that wastes your time. Never again.
