This Golf is included in the category of Golf course.
Rude staff, absolutely not worth your time or money.
AWESOME 9 hole course. 5 par 4s and 4 par 3s. We will be back next weekend
Grew up on this course! Still love it, even with its shortcomings
Course itself isn't in awful condition, holes are very short so you can easily shoot par. The customer service however is terrible. Man behind the desk seemed unreasonably upset I didn't have exact change and additionally made several rude comments about my group. Just a bad experience - you're far better off checking out Valleywood or Lost Spur in Eagan.
Don't do it. Just don't.
Course was in decent condition. I read all these reviews beforehand but didn't have these common customer service issues. Didn't get a 5 because I made a reservation and it wasn't in their book. The clerk suggested I called the other AV course. Was able to jump on right away so really didn't matter. I checked my call log and I did call the correct place.
The customer service, in a word, was "rude". I can understand as this is a course for beginning golfers, and is a very limited par 3/4 type course, but to be rude to your customers is a major problem, and will prevent any sort of return visit. Also does not take debit or credit cards, so if you want to be insulted and still play here, bring cash.
Loved it here every time I have golfed it.
Nice little par 3 course for when you want to sneak in a quick round. At $15 for nine holes it does seem a bit pricey.
If I could give this course a zero I would. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude. We left without playing. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised the parking lot was empty with people skills like that.
I can't agree more than the previous reviewers that the owner of this golf course has no customer service skills. They should just sell the course to developers so they can avoid having to deal people any longer. As the golf industry declines, you'd think they'd want more golfers to provide good reviews. I stopped going to this golf course (even though it is only blocks away and rather drive 30 minutes right past them to Rich Valley) after too many bad incidents.
Love this golf course and the people working there! It's a great golf course for practice! The lady at the desk is so generous, caring, and extremely nice! Why can't anyone see it?
Do not go here for foot golf with your children!!!! While the course is nice, and my kids had an OK time, the woman at the counter charged us $44 to go once around the course--my husband and I wanted to accompany our 10 and 12 year olds (thinking that was in the best interest of our children's safety and the golfers and the course for that matter) and we were charged full price to go on the course. When our kids finished the course in under 30 minutes, since we paid for 4 and only 2 golfed, we asked for them to go again. The woman at the counter wanted to charge us another $12. This turned a nice family outing into a very negative experience-- Foot Golf is meant for kids--and to not support parents accompanying their children is absurd. We would not recommend this course to anyone!
This is a great 9 hole course that has it's own little challenges on every hole. It is well maintained and the staff are super friendly. This is our Thursday night family outing and is a great course for our kids that are just learning the game.
I have played this course many times and do not understand what several negative reviews are referring to. I use this course for short distance work and there are a number of different types of holes which various challenges. It's also great for a quick 9...if you don't choose the more popular times to go, of course.
Warning, CASH only. Course was closed on a day that was in the 50s in May (weird) so I went to another one that day but I've been here a few time b4. It's had some bad staff reviews in the past but I haven't had any issues. I like the short course and can get it done in about an hour. Not too challenging but pretty nice for the location.
Who are these people that defame this place? This is a great executive course, with a great lady running it. It is well kept, challenging, and a great price. It sounds like those people need to pull what ever club they have up their bhind, and put it in the bag! Krusty
Cute little course, kept up great
My brother - in - law and i were coming off the course when a woman said, "geez i thought you guys got lost. " i thought she was chiding us, but then she went on about the people in front of us having been finished for a half - hour. But that wasn't accurate (they likely came off the course around 10 minutes before us). And i just said, "we were waiting for the people ahead of us for the first 7 holes. " But she didn't seem to want to hear anything but what she was thinking. Her anger seemed misplaced. And while later on she said she was joking, i told her that she needed to then not joke or just say what she meant. I think she might have a mental problem or be a drinker. But my brother - in - law both just got in the car and said, "what was that all about? " They also don't have a credit card machine. I won't go there, again.
I wish I would have read the reviews before we decided to go here. The woman who rode out on her broom to literally scream at us in front of our kids as well as the golfers on the other holes. I have never been treated that way as a customer in my life. It was humiliating and we walked off the course immediately. There was no refund or apology, and was more of the same as we were getting into the car. There is a right and wrong way to deal with customers. This woman should have turned us away, but she was greedy and instead took our money and hoped for confrontation. The cow on the hill that was staring at us should consider not playing if she is in that big of a hurry. I will never go back, and if you have never been there trust the reviews. I can’t believe this place is still in business. The pro shop as mentioned in another review as a joke stunk so badly of mold I would suggest lighting a match. The woman should be working as a prison guard rather than dealing with customers.
Nice quick round of golf for reasonable price. Guy at front desk was friendly and polite. I like that there are no carts - makes for a more leisurely round for all. Course was simple layout but has some lateral and water hazards to add interest. Will definitely be back.
This is a great little course. Fun for the family and challenging enough for anyone interested in a round of golf. The owners are great people and have been around for 30+ years.
No bunkers.
The lady was rude on the phone but I decided to give it a try anyway. She was worse when I got there! Horrible experience!
The worst place I've ever been in my life. I went there 2 months ago and I still ponder my decision and going there. In all my years of spending money that was by far the biggest waste of money I've ever done. The lady running the place was rude and condeceding, she also provides little to no explanation on the location of the holes and the in order which they go. If you go through all the holes at a normal rate, you will have wasted 13 dollars in 20 minutes. Does that sound reasonable to any kind of sensible person? No it doesn't. Moral of this review is don't go there.
I tried to get on this course yesterday 8/19/19 with my 6 yr old and 4 yr old. My 4 yr old can barely swing a club and wanted to tag along. Their policy states that EVERYONE needs to pay to be on their course. This policy is NOT family friendly. For a place that was completely dead, I'd think they would welcome golfers, not push drive them away. The lady at the counter also insulted my parenting and told me to "control my kid," who was upset that we had to leave abruptly and couldn't have a treat.
New superintendent and it shows, course is in best shape of the last several years and improving daily Nice little 9-hole course
Don’t get the hate I see in some of the comments. Played there a ton last year and never once had any issues. It’s a quiet little 9 hole course, good for working on your short game. Cash only and it’s a walking only. Hope to bring my kids there in the next few years to teach them the game too.
Good little golf course, great for beginners and hacks like me.
Went with a larger group of people to footgolf which I understand can be a challenge but even as an individual was just treated so disrespectfully. Was treated rudely, they didn't have enough supplies, and he managed to miscount the number of people we had so the final bill managed to be off by 100 dollars. Also what poor planning to put the footgolf course on the actual golf course. It seems like if you are above the age of 50 you get treated like royalty and anything under 30 like absolute trash. Not coming here ever again.
Great course and challenging for a shorter course. Will go again
Worst customer service I have ever experienced...it's like the lady that works there doesn't want people to come back
Staff is very rude. Course isn't busy enough to enforce t times. Tried to play 9 quick holes with some buddies but felt like we were punished because we didnt have a t time. Course wasnt busy that day at all. Ended up jumping right on and playing with no interruptions. Building and course are in terrible shape and honestly would be surprised if the place wasnt closed and used a housing development in 2 years time. After being treated as I was today I dont feel bad about that happening to the piece of land one bit. I'll take my business to a real golf course next time
My friend and I, after a long day of military training and looking forward to a leisurely game of golf, instead got hunted down, literally, by the attendant who came and drove her car by hole 2 (which, by the way, we missed because there was a lack of clear course markings) to yell at us for playing extra holes because the owner had called her from his house to report our "mischieveousness"! We had finished hole 9 and noticed the hidden tee box that we had previously missed. Never coming back. If you want to relax, pay extra it'll be worth every penny!
Great place to have a quick 9 holes. Play it often.
Fun 9 hole course in good shape
This place is horrible, the lady working the desk is weird and unpleasant. The club house is dirty and smells dirty, This is the worst coarse I've ever been at, Go to Birnamwood Golf Course, 12424 Parkwood Drive Burnsville, they treat you with respect and they keep the coarse clean. Be careful, if you break something they will try to extort money from you...
Very rude course attendant. The way she treats customers is so unprofessional.
Great little golf course
The course looks amazing and is a great improvement from the last 2 years or so. The new Director of Golf and his new grounds crew really have their stuff together. New pins and flags, greens are well kept as well as fairways roughs and traps. Prices are extremely affordable. $1.50 for a beer, and great food too. Very playable course and an extremely good value! Friendly staff and overall great experience. Definitely going back soon!
Needs some work, the greens, fairways and bunkers are having a hard time comming back from this past winter unfortunately.
A real Hidden Gem!!! This course is a smaller par 3, but always meticulously maintained and very low cost! I love going here because its close to home and I can get a quick round in when I dont have all day to sit on a course waiting for the slow carts ahead of me! Ive seen some bad reviews for customer service but have never had anything but the complete opposite! All of the staff has been very friendly with me, whether Ive had a tee time or not. Ive brought my kids there to play foot golf (you kick a soccer ball instead of using golf clubs), I love that I can play golf and my kids can foot golf right along with me! If youve never played foot golf before, its awesome and I highly recommend you try it here!!!!
A cool course that fits nicely into the neighborhood. One of the best parts is that they also have 'Foot Golf', which is basically a cross between golf and soccer.
Shortest course I've ever played in my life. Greens where in great shape. Rental set of clubs were garbage. Bring your own clubs unless you've never played the game before. Pro shop reminded me of a trailer park trying to sell used golf bullshit I almost started laughing when I walked in. Most likely will never play here again unless someone drags my cold dead body on the course and makes me play like weekend at Bernie's.
I expect the type of course conditions you find here based on it being what it costs and type of course. Thats fine. What you'll find here is the owner and the gal that runs the place consistently making customers feel like they are doing you a favor by being there rather than treating the customer like they appreciate them coming out. Last trip here after 5 times dealing with the same thing, I won't return.
This par 32 will test your golf skills at most amateur levels. Long time favorite of locals in the area. Tight holes with water and woods ready for your errant shot. Greens are well maintained.
These reviews are absolutely right, I've had 2 experiences here, both horrible. I only came back the 2nd, because I had to go with my family, I left the place looking for a chair and a noose. The lady that works there did remind me of some sort of witch she is honestly absolutely insane and totally unfair they provided no instruction of which hole was which so it was very hard to navigate and she found us using the wrong hole and immediately kicked us off basically stealing our 42 dollars which the golf course probably wasn't even worth. This place is thee worst place I've ever golfed at and this lady shouldn't be treating this joke of a course like it's anything legitimate anyone who says otherwise she must be paying off. She probably made fake google accounts to make the 3 star average of reviews possible. Other wise the witch she was probably casted spells on people to get them then to say good things, I wish I could give a rating lower than one star.
The person working the front desk was extremely rude. All of the reviews were right.
For a 9 hole golf course I like it! Golfed it for the first time today I was happy about it!
Little exec course
Welcome to Apple Valley’s newest housing subdivision. I am not only The Game of Golf’s target demographic, but this course’s best hope for a potential new regular. It’s the closest course to my home Here’s why this review gets one star: The owner of the course has zero business sense. After walking in after a big raidstorm ahead of a 10:30 tee time, and chatting with the man working the joint, I explained I hadn’t played in 4 year, and I needed a few swings before my father-in-law got there to start the round. He told me it was okay to practice on the putting green or the first hole. I chipped my way back and forth on the first fairway and was abruptly confronted by the owner of the course who came out of a house on the first fairway yelling. Instead of being treated as a potential future customer, I was berated because “this isn’t a driving range!” and “you can’t just hit back and forth!” I had a great game of I enjoyed a lot. I shot a personal best 45, but the overall experience wasn’t positive by a long shot. There is no chance I’ll ever go back to this course. If you own this course and this doesn't sound familiar, have a chat with the crazy lady in the house with the nice wood fence on the first fairway, she's scaring away paying customers.
Nice little nine hole golf course. It is what it is, and for what it is, it's decent to above average.
Trust the reviews of this golf course. Don't waste your time or money. I have no idea how the person working the front desk still has a job!
perfect small family owned golf course
A couple of friends and I were on the course with nobody within 5 holes of us and the course owner came and barked at us for slow play, making intentional divots, etc. She had no proof whatsoever and we had done nothing of the sort. She even had the audacity to claim that she had run ins with one of my friends who had never even been at the course. Whether it be that she doesn't like teenagers or that she is simply an old hag I'll never know. The course itself is fairly well kept but in my opinion it's not worth the money. Parents, you're better off taking your kids to the mini golf course at the Burnsville Mall.
