I have only been to this course one time and it was like playing golf in a cow pasture with all the undulations in the fairway. I can accept scattered patches of grass around the rough this early in the season but seriously, to have bare spots in the fairway. I was using my "foot wedge" to roll my ball around everytime I landed in the fairway just to put it in some grass that I could hit off of. I tried to call 4 times to get info and all I have gotten was an answering machine that says they don't take tee times. You can't even leave a message or talk to a person to find out if they are busy, or what the rates are. The best part about this place when I was there was the beautiful young woman behind the counter that looked like she was in her young to mid 20's or so. Just sayin!!! So if I ever went back, it would be to ask her to dinner, not to play golf. One more thing. GET A WEBSITE IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO ANSWER YOUR PHONE!!!!! Even if it is just a web page that has a couple pics of the course and your rates. Throw in a pic of that girl at the front counter as well.

We found the course to be in great shape. Fairways were well maintained, freshly mowed w thick grass cover. Greens were in excellent condition. We placed one call to the facility, we spoke with a young person who answered our questions, we had nice round of golf with a very low cost per stroke on a beautiful April Sunday afternoon. We would recommend the course for a relaxed round of golf. Thumbs up for Sleepy Hollow Golf Course.

Quality of the fairways isn't the greatest, but for us, the purpose is to play a quick 9 that is easy to get some good practice on. This 9 hole definitely serves that purpose. Only $11 for a wide open course that has very few obstacle's and hills, and makes for a great walk! Two holes per green gives it a bit of variation on subsequent rounds (you take the pin out of one and put it in the other for the group that's behind you). Never truly packed, letting you get a good quick round in with no tee times....good course, good price, fun times.

Good place to play with your kids if the owner wasn’t rude. He was playing two groups behind us and wasted time to walk across the fairway of #4 and told me and my 9 year old son to speed up because “we were slowing everyone down”. It was my son’s first round on his own ball. Mind you, this was twilight on a Monday night. The self-proclaimed owner failed to look at the guys in front of us who were just teeing off on #6 right after a par three 5th. Also, he waited several times in the group behind us. By the time we got to 7 tee we were waiting on the group in front of us. I told my son not everyone on the golf course is a jerk.

I always enjoy playing sleepy hollow. The people are friendly and helpful. The course is not terribly difficult and in pretty good shape. It is rarely crowded and moves along nicely. They have opened it up a bit more this year and trimmed some things back that needed it. And the price is reasonable.

I paid for 18 but left after playing just 7 holes. The men in front of us were awful and the ones in front of them were just as bad. We knew it was going to be a long day filled with lots of excessive waiting. Not a fun way to play golf so we left. Course is absolutely beautiful and is well maintained.

For a small nine hole course this place us great. You can usually get on the course at any time without a tee time. On nice days you may have to wait a while but what golf course doesn't have a wait?

This is one of the prettiest, well maintained courses you'll ever play. One minus. We played it twice and the first nine took 3 hours. They could use a ranger but second round was fine. Absolutely beautiful course.

I really love this little course. I play all over Louisville and always find myself heading back to Sleepy Hollow. It is a pretty course with a decent lay out. It can be slow at times. But, there a lot of first timers that play the course. Lets be honest it can be frustrating to get behind a slow group, but we were all learning on a small course at some point.

I love this course, have played it since a was a young boy. Played it hundreds of times. This is a family run course and they work very hard to keep it looking great. Very, very good people. I have played courses all over the country and hands down, this is my favorite. Very peaceful and beautiful. To the one reviewer (Wayne Wheeler of Johnson Controls).. I've played this course for years and never encountered conditions even remotely close to the ones you speak of. Plus your 20 years older than the girl in the clubhouse, your going to make those remarks publicly?

I went there Sunday afternoon 8/20, I walked in at 2:15 and asked to play 18 with a cart and was promptly told I couldn't play because I was by myself. I have played many courses in my life but have never been told I couldn't play because I was by myself. It would have been one thing if they were packed and couldn't get you on the course, but that was not the case. There were very few cars in the parking lot. It was the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I have played there several times in the past, but I will never waste my time again. I guess its one of the few courses around that's doing so well they can pick and choose who plays their course...
