This Golf is included in the category of Golf course.
Great golf course, it is always a great tome to play here. The earlier the better because it tends to get really busy after 7 or 8am. The greens are pretty fast and fun for sure. Great variety of difficulties and a very friendly staff. I definitely recommend this golf course if you like exploring new courses or even to make it a regular course to play.
Absolute scam. Paid $100+ per person for a VIP dinner before a show. How nice, I thought. How pleasant this experience must be to have dinner at the country club before the concert. Guess what? We were forced to sit outside on the grass in 90 degree weather at a huge picnic table. Yep, the VIP experience is apparently family style with total strangers. Enjoy passing around massive platters and praying your neighbor doesn’t drop one on you. The chicken was bone dry and fish was out of the question (see above, family style outdoors in 90 degree heat. I’ll dodge that bullet, thanks). So my $100 salad and fingerling potatoes had to do. At least for an hour. You see, they had to clear out our group to make room for the next round of suckers. Stay FAR AWAY from this absolute disgrace of an establishment. The one star is for polite servers.
I go here for hiking around the golf course.
Love the breakfast here
My favorite golf course.
Love it
Very nice course. My first golfing experience was enjoyable at Brookside and the staff was very helpful. The mobile snack ladies are on their job and make sure you never get hungry or thirsty.
I only played a few times. Nice course. Had fun.
Decent spot by the Rose Bowl golf course with plenty of seating inside and out. Menu is traditional with some good sandwiches. Bar is nice and has TVs. Watch the driving range or just take in the foothills Vista. Great place to catch some sunrays
No so do ft by so we are
Had as lot of nice sized course only thing was that the beer maiden was ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE TO BE FOUND!!
A nice day in a beautiful place. Shot a 91.
1 star for rudely Korean players! If you want to play with them, go there.
Great food
Love it!
I was a very nice atmosphere in my son and daughter along they got married there we had a good time staff was very polite and helpful and the ambience is what you make it
This place awesome grad place to come and relax.
My Dji
Went to get a drink while walking at the rose bowl. Big mistake. Too busy for the staff on hand to take care of properly. Waited for my drinks and watched others waiting for their food. You know it's a beautiful Sunday during March madness staff appropriately. Wont be going back too bad cause I think it's a a good location for a bite and or drinks while walking around the rose bowl.
Great taco Tuesday! !
Awesome place to have any celabration
Nice place to walk. Very safe place. Always clean.
Beautiful place to have a great time doing what you love to do "playing golf"
The people there are very helpful very friendly atmosphere
Not a bad course..
Nice meeting room. Good acoustics
An historic place for golf, lunch, or a great festival weekend. Brookside has been serving Angelenos a great day for years. Friendly staffing, and cool drinks.
Clean, comfortable, great breakfast options.
Great Golf Course well in shape
We wanted to grab a drink before the football game without full on tailgating but we were told they were closed
Our waitress was wonderful, the food was delicious, and sitting outside was so nice and quiet on a beautiful day.
So so course green fee doesn't match
The course was in great condition. Had a great round.
OH WOW!!! What happened to this golf course?!?! Under new management perhaps? I don't know exactly what happened or if it was just this past Saturday but the course conditions improved greatly. Most importantly, our pace of play was AMAZING!!! My 3 buddies and i were able to finish the round in less than 5 hours on Saturday morning at 10:30 am! Crazy i know! To top it all off, they upgraded their golf carts with comfortable seats and GPS! The bar/restaurant is probably one of the best out of all the public golf courses. There's always this little grill outside by the 1st tee box on Course #1 where they have the most amazing cheeseburgers and hotdogs! I always see the same very nice Hispanic gentleman who always seems to be loving his job and is always so very wonderful! Not to mention he grills the meanest cheeseburgers and hotdogs! Solid 4 stars but added a star for the Hispanic gentleman at the grill by the 1st tee box of Course 1! Keep up the good work Brookside!
Their cafe for breakfast is a good greasy spoon, although the atmosphere is kinda dank. Decent place.
I remember there used to be a NO CELLPHONE rule on the range. It'd be great if that returned. TALKING WAY TOO LOUD. Some of us golfers like quiet when we practice..... Thanks.
Great municipal course for the price. You'll find some top notch competition once you sift through the weekend hackers
it’s a good camp
Great hamburgers and chicken wings.
This place is awesome! Great facilities, great staff, and veteran friendly.
Delicious!
You count on greens to be good anytime of the year
Beautiful was actually going to the rose bowl
Very good place for tailgate party before a game ⚽
A 6-hour round? 40 minute delay due to stuffing too many people on the course. Forced to play 5-somes? Our last time here ever.
Nice courses for beginners, but still requires some technical skill to navigate. Get in a full day at both courses during the week, when there are less people out. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are usually pretty empty.
Great service! Good prices. Tasty pancakes. So so omelettes - overcooked and dried out. Perhaps just this morning? Will go back again.
I can safely say that this is my home course, I played here at least a couple of hundred times. In the last years though I stopped coming as often, since the pace of play was becoming ridiculously slow. I decided to give it a try yesterday and I was gladly surprised that the pace was way much better that what I remembered. Finish the round in 4:30 hr, which for a Saturday (10:30 a.m.) is pretty good. Seems like they are doing a good job now, timing the pace by flagging carts in specific gaps. Hope the keep it up.
Worst customer service experience over the phone with Charnika!!! Very unprofessional and rude. Was in the final seconds of booking a golfnow tee time at 1pm for 21.99 and was taken from me. I contacted the golf shop and spoke with Charnika. I told her of the incident that occured. She had the nerve to laugh at me. She said the next tee time at 1:08 was available but at $45. I told her of the inconvenience and requested if they can honor the same price and she said Id have to book it through golfnow. Unfortunately for me this is a management call that can easily reverse this but instead decided to go ahead and take 20 dollars. Worst customer service experience from a golf shop attendant
Very well manicured
Usually like the course, but didn't remember during football season it gets banged up from Rose bowl games. Not in great shape right now. They do manage to keep greens in nice condition but that's about it.
Nice driving range and two courses. Nice greens with some challenging hole placement.
Great food...
Good golf course, nice greens (fast).
Tee boxes missing and red tees with blue, white, gold in a colorful little bunch next to a fictitious tee box - so no advantage for hitting reds and if I wanted to hit championship I would not come here! Overcrowded - 5+ hours, urban noise level comparable to 605 fwy throughout the course as army of workers with armies of maintenance equipment kept all machines full throttle all day long. Highlight: Hitting chip shot when one of my partners yells, "Water, water, water!!" and sure enough, a sprinkler had been turned on and I soon was drenched mid-stream, mid-shot. Oh yes - gorgeous view of Arroyo - take a picnic basket and leave your clubs home.
2 fun courses, not there fault but needs rain. Fairways can be a bit dry.
Service was great. The Denver omlet was just okay.
Good service. Good breakfast (although out of sourdough bread).
Either course is fun (North preferred), and in a great setting in the Arroyo. The legendary Rose Bowl is always a great sight when waiting to hit. Usually a pretty easy walk-on as a single or twosome during the week, but beware the weekends. Concerts, Flea Market, and of course you cannot play when UCLA football is playing a home game. Both courses serve as the parking lot. However, the groundskeeping crew does an amazing job making sure that the course doesn't get jacked up during that time. Enjoy!
Completely remodeled great staff not a lot of people here ever
Restaurant is casual with good food, good service and reasonable prices.
Very nice and reasonably priced. The carts have GPS for yardages.
#1 Long and fast green #2 Not that Long but exciting green. Very fun.
Gorgeous. Nice layout and friendly staff
Worse crowd control at any event I've been to.
Good
Come here for an annual staff retreat. Parking is always hard for me, but the golf club is a nice place for a big staff meeting.
Came here for Father's day with couple of my friends. A decent course to have fun and socialize since it's not too challenging.
Beautiful club. Restaurant food is great. Has a charming warm atmosphere
The place is very elegant and the food is delicious, but unfortunately the customer service specifically from the bartender DEAN ARANO was unacceptable. His attitude during the event I attended for Sierra Acura’s Christmas Party on 12/10/2017 was rude and humiliating. He tried to embarrass me by telling people in line that he would take their orders next week because I asked him for a drink and since he wasn’t paying attention he got my order wrong. When I asked for the right one he started to make jokes with the people in line about me. He tried to charge me for a drink that was already prepaid by the event just to get out of making the right drink that I ordered. I reported this to Manuel, the waiter’s captain. I really hope this encounter will be revised by the Club’s management.
Fabulous location and this is a Public Course. Regarding organizing a golf tournament: If you are expecting a Country Club experience, move on. Our well planned tournament details were confirmed and we had a passel of problems...they neglected to put out our pre shipped and specially designed signage, put other Tee signs on the wrong course... The great staff handling meals were outstanding.
Golfing here is fun.
Great location down next to the Rose Bowl, I recommend the patio overlooking the golf course and their own pond... basic menu but made up for by the scenery and other patrons.
Always fun, but, the course is beat up in some places and even when you make a good shot, it could wind up in a bad lie on the fairway, green, etc.
Good range and courses
I was the first to visit.Good golf courses but fairways is not good.Probably because it is used as a parking lot.
First time here, I love it. Very organized, you can be close with the group you come. Fo your grilling, play, relax and when the sun goes down get ready for the fireworks. I definitely will come back.
Great surroundings nice people
I had the country breakfast and it was really good. Definitely like the eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. People there are friendly and we're there when I needed coffee.
2 golf courses at the rose bowl, both have challenges, scoring well there is an achievement.
Awesome!learning a new skill!
New golf carts with course GPS that measures yards to greens and pin very accurately! Also digital scorecard that can be emailed to the players!
The sea bass was overcooked but edible and our chicken was even more overcooked that it was dry and unedible. Only good cooked items were fingerling potatoes and grilled veggies. The best was chopped salad. For a meal costing $125+ you would want better than cafeteria food.
Nice low-key location for Sunday brunch
Restaurant is unreliable if you're trying to have lunch before your tee time -- they cater to a different crowd but at least they stay open later than other places. Courses are good when they aren't parking cars on it for the Rose Bowl. Many times the are delays at the starter windows or getting a fresh cart. It would be better if there were more stalls on the driving range.
Work event there nice area open grounds
We sat out on the patio but there is also a large area for indoor seating and a bar. I had a tuna melt and fries, both of which were excellent. Several of us had Arnold Palmer's to drink. As you may know they vary quite a bit in quality. These were excellent. With a nice view out over the golf course and nice weather we had a wonderful time. Recommended.
Two nice golf courses but somewhat overpriced.
Great servers here for breakfast I love.cing to breakfast during the weekday at Brookside. Great service, food and views.
This is where we got to park when we went to the Rose Bowl, but it wasn't that far of a walk so no problem. Lots of tail gaters!!! Fun fun fun
Good but fairway grass sucks
Snobbish atmosphere inside, but outdoor areas are great for activities.
Yesterday, I went to meet my former bosses at Brookside Restaurant. I ordered a tuna sandwich. I didn't like my tuna sandwich. The tuna was burnt. The tuna sandwich is on a half of a roll and it left a bad taste in my mouth. The salad was ok. I thought it was expensive for $10 or $10.50, I don't remember. I have had better tuna sandwiches elsewhere. Parking was terrible yesterday. There wasn't a single space close to the restaurant or street parking. There must of been a golfing event. Golf carts were all over the sidewalk while walking to the restaurant. Staff was nice and courteous. The only thing I liked was I saw my former bosses and co-workers. I have been to the Brookside for other occasions and food at that time was much better.
Beautiful and the ranchero omelet was awesome!
Nice gift course
great course, can get busy
We are Sunday brunch at the Brookside Golf Club. The food was excellent. We all agreed we would order our entrees again. But the service was slow & haphazard.
Definately top few of my favorite public courses in Southern California.
The food served at the concert venue last night was awful!! Scales in the seabass, which the servers were calling salmon not salmon barely edible!! Chicken way overcooked salad was the highlight! Very sad, I might have to dispute this charge as I feel we were ripped off!
Amazingly tranquil very scenic and fast greens
Took us almost an hour to get out of the golf course because there was no one directing
Love coming down here to walk tne pups when its cool.
We have been coming here for Saturday morning breakfast for 35 years. Always great food and service. Homemade bread for toast is fantastic.
Finally some good weather to get a round in.
Good food and an epic view of Tiger’s win at Augusta!
Does Terry Tornek go here?? Is that why they’re spending $1.7mil renovating the clubhouse??
Went for a concert. Paid for VIP, Long lines, understaffed and VIP was further from the stage then general admission. VIP WAS A JOKE!! Called, emailed and never got a response to my complaint! Very unprofessional...
36 hole golf course!
Food and service at the restaurant are very good. Course is not in as good a shape as it used to be and it is very busy.
Helpful employees when scheduling an event, service and food was Very Good, the set up was perfect, and best of all the guest were comfortable and happy! The price was a little higher but turned out to be worth it!!!
Love golfing here. But this time there was very good entertainment in the clubhouse that was outstanding. This guy did a great tribute to Frank Sinatra that Frank Sinatra would be jealous of. Wow! It made us stay till closing so we ordered more food and drinks.
My home good golf course!
Saw The Cure here. 8/31/2019
Too slow. Golfers with no etticate
Good place to walk
Use to like this place had special during wk for seniors . book tee time there for rate of 33 $ and starter says they are not doing it this wk. So now you want 60 What, old bait and switch. They should have told me that on phone. Will never play there again what a scam.starter was rude this is for course 2 they don't care , just greedy
Greens were running nice, fairways were a bit dried up, but they just had a game the night prior which is probably why. The Koiner layout is nice, and can be a real challenge depending on the tees played.
The course is always in good condition and the food is good to!
Yeah buddy
It's beautiful, unfortunately I was there because was being used as parking lot for BTS CONCERT....
After all the rain that we had the Fairway was very green but there was a lot of weed, and on the green I don't know what it was either fertilizer or seedings there was a sticky Gray stuff all over the green in every hole it got on my ball every time I have to clean my ball and it was very hard to clean it off and my putter I had to give it a bath when I got home. But overall pace was very good. We fairly good rounding.
Plenty of help available for your swing. Great people and very nice facility.
I had a wonderful experience at the Clubhouse Restaurant. Excellent service, very tasty and generous serving. Patio by koi pond, 18th. hole excellent view of the course and San Gabriel mountains. A party of five, family and friends. Very enjoyable lunch, right after walking a loop around the Rosebowl. We will definitely be back. All the services were excellent, and the price was very reasonable. Keep it up. Art, and "The Guys"
I ate at the restaurant and the food was good (Hamburger). I really liked how they used eco friendly straws (paper).
Don't have to play golf to eat at the restaurant... And the food is good, and reasonably priced. The fish tacos were tasty, burgers huge.... Fish & chips served in a bag! It's a lot of fun!
We visit every year to celebrate 4th of July with the family to barbeque, play games and have a good time watching the Rose Bowl fireworks after their event. It's a lot of fun and we get chance to see all the family that wants to attend. We bring a soccer ball, board games and/or volleyball at up to pass the time. It's as great place. We also bring our gas barbeque.
Festival was great.
Great 4th of July
This place sucks. I’ll never play here again ever
Great place to get fresh air great place to see people great place to walk my dog
Went for a drive in the area. We didn't actually stop in but from what we were able to admire it looks like it is a great place to golf. It was well groomed and the environment was pleasing. The views were great and a pleasant surprise to have when golfing or enjoying a visit to the Country Club.
Two courses. Course one is the better of the two. It's a little longer and more difficult. Prepare yourself for long rounds on the weekends. For some reason the management allows groups of five and overload the course. Other than that both courses are in good shape and fun to play.
Restaurant here isn’t my favorite but it is well kept and cozy. Banquet rooms are nice.
Brookside is a very nice golf course. The holes are long and the greens are well maintained. They do get some damage from being used for parking during Rose bowl games.
Rough is bare
I went tailgating with friends here.... waiting for the football game between UCLA and Fresno State
Gourmet food at Yoshinoya prices. Had fun running around in the golf cart.
Our group had a Golf Tournament at Brookside - staff was very accommodating and professional. Had breakfast and lunch in the restaurant - the avacado toast was the best! ( Darn: Not available that day for lunch...)the dinner/buffet and annual torunament was a big success.
Nice but overpriced
Actually I was at the Rose Bowl
I walk the Rose Bowl everyday
Nice golf courses, greens are consistent..
Beware of twilight carts might not be charged almost got stranded twice. Other than that great course. golfers need to do a better job fixing divots
It's one of the best spots for getting walking or running exercising. Very good for keeping in shape.
Wish anyone told us they were having an Oktoberfest on 7th&8th. Other than playing for 16holes instead 18, it was a OK. Oh, I had a dejavu of being on a Korean course. I have never seen so many Korean people on the course since I visited Korea.
Regularly visited for breakfast. No nonsense, nice view.
Course in not the best shape. For 60 bucks green fee it should be better. Greens and green surrounds are not in prime condition
4th of July at Brookside has become a tradition. The fireworks are spectacular. You get set up an area to bbq. You are responsible for food & activities. They supply port a potties, which have no faucets. You are provided with hand sanatizer & toilet tissue.
Rose Bowl fireworks show
Great layout, fairways could be a lot better, but the greens on course 1 roll really well
Nice enough course if you like listening to other players blasting radio music while you're trying to enjoy your game. Could be run better.
Was a grate day for Golf, too bad the scores weren't.
Good golf course
Great breakfast!
Enjoyed my breakfast and my cousin Madell Barker's company! Reasonable prices too!
Food was really good..service great.. I would hold a function here.
Played 18 holes as a twosome. Was awesome. Book online for cheaper prices.
Awesome Golf Course two 18-hole courses course one has to be one of the longest one in LA County. In the beautiful Arroyo Seco with the Rose Bowl overlooking you doesn't get much better
