We drove about 35 minutes to check out White Oak Garden Center, because I was told it was the best, after being disappointed with the garden centers and nurseries closer to our home. They did not disappoint! It is a beautiful place with tons of variety, and everything is displayed and spaced really well, which made it easy to look around and see what was available. There were 3 employees that helped us, and they were all amazing...very knowledgeable and very helpful. We had no idea where to start, and Mike helped us figure out exactly what we needed and how to go about starting our landscaping over from scratch. He spent a lot of time with us figuring out what we wanted and answering all of our questions. The ladies at the cash register were also great, and everyone was even great with our 4 year old daughter. Top notch customer service!

If you are looking for a “fancier” greenhouse White Oak is the best on the westside. You may not get the cheapest price (their herbs and baskets are not cheap) BUT you will get healthy beautiful plants. Where they really shine is in their pricing and selection of trees and shrubs. On top of all this, I’ve always found their staff to be extremely warm and knowledgeable.

They are at least double the price of other stores (some within a mile of this place). The employees are friendly but not friendly enough to pay double, sometimes more. Unless they have something no one else has, shop around and you will save yourself a lot of money.

Always a treat to visit for holiday inspiration! Great time of year to snap up a few bargains to plant. I love to adopt what I call the season's "last breath" items to plant in the Fall. This is such a great garden center that they always survive the winter and thrive for me forever. WO Garden Center is worth a visit every month.... year round!

We went to several places looking for lavender. My cell phone was dead and I wanted to know how to prepare the soil before planting. Other places wouldn't give me the time of day. Several people at White Oak answered questions for me. Every plant there was healthy. They had some tempting landscaping accessories. They loaded my car with the mulch and compost remembering to put down plastic. I'll be back.

One of the best garden centers in the tri-state area. Family owned and operated, wonderfully friendly staff, with more choices to choose from than anyone else around. If you can't find it Jeff the owner will be happy to order it for you. The custom planters that they come up with are beautiful. Especially the ones that are themed for the holidays. If you haven't stopped by to check out their new ginormous Edition you must stop in and see it!

I love White Oak Garden Center. The people are always so friendly and accommodating. Their prices are a little more than Walmart, but they stand behind the products. Most plants have a 1 year warranty. A few years back, they helped me plant a butterfly garden that was beautiful. I highly recommend this store

Staff was very helpful and friendly, even as it was approaching closing time! One gentleman even helped me carry a large ceramic planter out to my car and made sure it was secure for the trip home. My first visit here and definitely plan to go back. I can't wait to see the garden center in full swing this season.

Met with the owner this past weekend at the home and garden show with pictures of my flooding farm land plagued by erosion and asked for help identifying what native species would help slow the rate of storm water flow onto our property. He merely told me that a weeping willow was my only option and that he couldn't help me any further. I asked about additional species and asked if he had those in stock and he said yes, but was averse to providing additional help. I walked away with the impression that he did not value me as a possible customer and that he either could not critically evaluate my situation or simply did not care to assist me. Either way, I'm taking my business elsewhere. I'm giving two stars because their display was quite beautiful, their selection was robust, and I truly wanted to work with them to fix my rural land.

I stopped in with 10 minutes to spare (got out of work early) and wanted to price check their succulents and perennials. I knew I was being “that customer” who comes in right before close so I rushed in to make sure I didn’t keep anyone. I expected the usual “we are about to close” from an employee wanting to get home. Instead I was greeted by, not one, but two employees asking me if I needed help. They were so welcoming and friendly and full of advice. I will be back next week for all of my garden needs. They have a beautiful selection!!

I agree with the other reviewer. They have great staff but many of their products are over priced. I bought Christmas trees there the past several years and didn't realize how over priced they were until this year. I decided to shop elsewhere because their trees always smell like campfire smoke and all the construction traffic near their store makes it difficult to get in and out. I purchased the same style tree i always get for half the price at one of the home improvement stores and it actually smells like a Christmas tree instead of campfire smoke. I'm all for helping small businesses, but not at any cost and not when they sell an inferior product.
