REVIEWS OF Farmers Market Maui IN Hawaii

Sven Pearce

Names deceiving. We were looking for a real farmers market. This is a regular store.

Tim Wood

LOVETHIS PLACE! It's my daily breakfast spot on the island. I'd get the Go Green bowl here and a Badass coffee next door the sit in the park across the street

Marine P

Awesome products especially if you are vegan or vegetarian! Only things the staff is not very friendly except 2 or 3 who are fine and one who is pretty amazing I will guess he is the manager of the store .we came everyday on our holiday on Maui for breakfast and sometimes lunch, açai bowl is good and also matcha latte. I only came back because the food is pretty great ! But service is very slow so if you are in a rush for a sandwich that’s not the place .

Rex Stevens

Loved it. You need to be on time

Barry Cyrus

Power walk to the BadAss Coffee Shop. Its amazing that there is a no helment law for motorcycles on the island. We saw a Hawaiian Five O police chasing a motorcycle right after I took this pic. Hahahha.

Brenda Ramirez

Great deals

Tray Rivera

Great selection of organic foods, sunscreens, as well as a DIY lunch deli. The place is teeny, making it difficult to explore the shelves. Parking is extremely tight—and I was driving a compact car! Local people seem to drive large trucks. Bring your own cloth bags. Glad I went for the organic fruit, but I shall not return because of the hair-raising close calls in the parking lot. I have not been to this market when it expands into the parking lot on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I hear that is a great experience.

Kristen Cummings

The staff are very friendly and willing to assist with any produce recommendations or questions. They have the ability to accommodate most dietary needs, which is nice because I have many.

Jeff Barkett

Very cool little market with not local fruits and veggies but also locally made dry and wet goods as well. There's also a deli.

Roger Pai

They have super nice and helpful staff and one of the best Açaí bowls on the island. My go to every time I visit.

Tina Robillard

Best place to go on Maui

mik ray

Good place for acai bowls, dried fruit and fresh soup. The store is a little dumpy and could be better organized.

Jim Carey

Love it. Great grinds.

Carol Braga

Good place for natural and fresh food.

Dan Watt

A great little health food store with a surprisingly varied selection. Definitely recommend.

Paul Graf

Anyone that ranks this less than 5 stars doesn’t know what a good local market is.

David Ilaoa

Come for the produce, stay for the massive amount of other awesome things they have, and salad!

Mary Roberts

Best place for local produce and locally made food (the guacamole and mac nut pesto are yummy!). Love this great market and the wonderful folks who bring it to us. Mahalo!

Eric Simpson

Pretty cool place. Quite a selection of local produce. I'd give it a 5 if the people that work here were a little kinder to people they don't know by name. But they have the organic items you are looking for.

Janice A

One of our favourite places to visit in Maui is this market. The guy who offers samples is absolutely charming. I think it has the best produce in Maui and the homemade dips are outstanding.

Aaron VanderMeulen

Co-op type place. Picked up fresh fruit for the morning and other small snack items. Prices are average

Michael Lowe

Great eclectic combinations. Awesome parking lot market (every other day). Good service. A bit overpriced even for the area. But still probably the best market in a 2 mile radius. Owner is definitely a salesman.

Marie Whiteside

Bought a burrito there today ,delicious!

Y

Amazing food and the quantity is perfect. The food was super fresh and very flavourful. They had a lotttt of vegan options. If you are a traveller, definetly worth picking up breakfast lunch or dinner to go and picnic at the beach.

Christina Anderson

Organic with a Hippie vibe, lots to offer

Rochelle Dion

Just like going to the fair,,, all the fantastic smells of local fair!, Go there hungry so you can try a full variety, it's all there to enjoy!,

Terran Sea

The best thing I've experienced here so far is their bagels, very tasty, with that being said there is one major factor in the low rating and that is the customer service. I've been told twice the store has no meat when I never even asked if they had any meat. The customer service isnt that great like some other reviewers have said. On multiple occasions I felt like it was trouble asking a question with theirs responses. I haven't tried ordering any food which does look tasty. Unless you go in the evening the parking lot is small and can be a nightmare. Today I went and the produce looked fresh and well stocked other days if I go in theres not much selection left. Very pricey here but I mainly just go here for the bagels! I still have hope for this place though so I'm open in seeing if the customer service improves and if it does my review will change. As of now though I'll do my main shopping at other locations

A manager yelled at me (¿James?) when I asked him about where the 200% Markup goes on the star fruits that I had hand picked from a family farmland to sell to this store annually... They have a good selection here but I often feel mistreated when entering this location... I'd rather go to A'a Roots or even into town for my nutritional needs. Good day sir.

Tina Peters

One of my favorite little hippie stores

Elizabeth Kimber

Love this little convince store. Everything is probably 20-50% higher than the price you can find in Wholefoods. But the nearest Wholefoods is like 50 min away. So you will just have to put up with the price. But they do have a lot of the healthier options in grocery. So that's a plus. But I think they are more or less a vegan place, as you won't find any meat product or eggs. So if that's what you are looking for, you probably should go to another store. They also offers smoothies, açaí bowls, salad and sandwiches. You can also try their dips at the free sample bar, which are pretty awesome. The pineapple salsa is really a great topping for eggs. If you come to Maui and stay in this area, this is a great place to get groceries.

I thought this was an open air farmers market, but it is a brick and mortar store. They do a small "market" on the weekend in the parking lot. It was a very nice store, friendly staff and a wide range of options. They had a wonderful selection of prepared food as well.

Laurence A. Freeman

It was good, I was expecting something more exotic - being in Maui but I wasn't disappointed.

Tim Burger

Lots of local produce. There is also a juice bar/small kitchen where you can get meals and acai bowls. Fresh kombucha in tap!

Dominus Satanas

If you're looking for fresh fruit I would look elsewhere. They do have fruit stands set up in the parking lot. But it didn't even look like they were selling when I went. Also it's almost impossible to find parking in this area. And the parking lot to this store is almost always full. I got some Dragon Fruit here that seemed really over priced for the quality of the fruit. There were really only a sad collection of 10 different low quality fruits inside and it was cram packed. This pretty much seems like a tourist trap to me.

Nancy Imhoff

Went on a day of outdoor market. Nice variety and samples.

Alice So

Small store with essentials. Had a juice and salad bar. Arrived near closing and the fresh fruit and veggies were very limited. Few parking spots in front of this store.

Brian James Bagay

Love love this place. Live right down the road from here. Some days they set up an area right outside the store and have a mini farmer's market with different items. Have acai bowls here. Lots of good produce, miiiiight be a little pricey but it's good stuff

Daphnie Tressler

Great for fresh and local produce

steve baker

Best fish tacos EVER. Not cheap, but this is Maui.. nothing is cheap. A side of coconut shrimp and 2 fish tacos for $26. It feeds 2. Very fresh fish, mango, secret sauce, cabbage, and you Slater on as much tiger sauce as you can handle. The only other places they have this is Sacramento, Cupertino and I think San Diego. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

ryan rochford

Got a pineapple, a mango, and some candy for $12.

Lana Perschon

Try to hit open market schedule: better choice and more fun shopping from local youths

Mila Ilieva

Vegan varieties in abundance!

Suzanne Ludlum

My husband and I discovered this treasure the last time we were in Maui. This is our first morning here this trip and we came right over to get enough fish for two nights. The BEST mahi mahi we have EVER tasted!

Michael Lewandowski

Market and kitchen in one store. Lots of local fruit and groceries. Prices are better than the resort stores and the food is quality. They have an outside market Monday, Wednesday and Friday with even more local produce and crafts. Try the passion fruit, it's unreal. The kitchen part has a made to order menu and self serve area, amazing vegetarian meals for decent prices (the self serve chili or soups are a steal). Lots of fresh fruit bowls, smoothies and sandwiches. Vegans and vegetarians won't be disappointed. The beach park across the street is a perfect spot to chow down with a superb view!

WaikikiLadyZ

Stop by to grab what you need and enjoy local hospitality

Mathias Baumgartner

The best vegetarian place we've been on the whole of Maui. Great Deli's and grown food. A bit pricey but it's mostly worth it. Try the carrot cake

Charles Zaragoza

The produce & scones are great!

Jeanne Kern

Great alternative to the grocery! Great find while on Maui! Excellent produce, hummus and staff!

Jessalyn Schmaedeke

Great variety and healthy options. The outdoor market on Mon, Wed, Fri is a real treat with great vendors!

Daniel Jensen

Always a fun place to shop.

Richard Kaelin

Best guacamole you will ever have. But get there early in the day because it is made fresh every day. It will sell out.

Benjamin Shelley

Nest guacamole in Earth! And the acai bowl is so delicious, that the bowl always ends up spotless. Get some!

Michael Thomas

Funky little place with all kinds of stuff for the purist who can't find what they want anywhere else. Helpful staff. Fair prices for what you get in Maui. Not really a "Farmers Market" like on Kauai or perhaps upcountry, but if it can be had here, and you want organic, this is your best bet. Haven't tried the deli yet... But it is popular based on the folks we have seen in line. Excellent selection of herbals and homeopathics.

Efrat Stark

Cute little farmers market. Small, there isn't much there, but you can find a couple good things including fresh fruit and baked goods. Very expensive though.

Lorenzo Ty

Because of the color of my skin (African American/Black) a employee by the name of Daisy said that I made her feel uncomfortable while my wife and I was simply trying to purchase a smoothie from the health bar and she totally refused us service! I complained to the owner named Sachi and she said that she does not feel that it's discrimination to refuse services to a customer because of their skin color when it most definitely is! (EQUAL PROTECTION ACT) shame on them...

Robert Burch

And nice local store

Shannon Dekker

A lot of beautiful and unique things to buy

J C

Incredible customer service... Fresh & fabulous and interesting food... Delicious counter Service as well... Fairly priced. Great location. We love the pineapple salsa..

Matthew Lee

Nice spot in Kaanapali for produce, especially if you like organic and vegan product. The prices are a bit on the high side but you get a variety of product available. I also like that there’s availability of samples to try. Their hot food selection is awesome, and their açaí bowls!

Mike Mason

All organic products, and oils etc high quality produce,#1 all around

bebe liang

Love this farmers market, fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade food.

Tanya Kundeus

Everything you need in one stop, great local fruits

Andy Smith

Worth the stop. Park across the street at the beach access. Definitely want to try the local bananas.

1 Ronald Tatum

Walking distance from resort area

Premika Srinivasan

Best fresh coconut water in Hawaii. Kept sipping on it for a while before I could finish it. Just yum . Also if you're visiting , do try the local produce and make your own meal. Food here with the local produce just tastes so much better. The local variety of apple bananas are also a must try.

Marcia Babowicz

Nice market, nice people. Beautiful woman selling fabulous Israeli bread. Great produce choices

Enasa Baybayan

My favorite spot for FRESH coconuts.....yum whole delicious coconuts and when the trees are ripe she has the most delicious Mangos ever! Delicious baked goods! I lived off here salad bar and fresh pressed jucies ... You'll love it! Make sure you stop by honokawai farmers market for some healthy goodness....dont forget your bag and stroll across the street and sit by the beautiful ocean!

Rachel Deems

My favorite açaí bowls ever! I love the selection of their fresh made snacks (bean dip, guacamole, hummus, etc) and an obsessed with the passion fruit cream cheese! It’s pretty small and a bit pricey, but definitely worth it for the local vibe!

Eric W

What a cool market! Just happened to grab dinner down the street and went for a walk and meandered on in here. The staff was really nice and the whole store had a very down to earth feel to it. The acai bowls are really good. They had samples available of their various salsas, and just a wide selection of organic food. Really felt like a local place. Keep it up!

CJ Johnson

tasty smoothies, good grocery selection and the produce at the parking lot farmstand looks great.

P Lac

Great place to buy local food. The workers are extremely friendly and I can't wait to go back to try the freshly baked, locally flavored bread. I believe he mentioned they sell it starting at 7am and sells out by noon.

P J

Awesome local food with a really good hot bar and smoothie/juice counter

Alan P

Good local store...way too expensive on banana bread tho...but good people and great dips and food bar. Me like...its across from this beach park pic

Reza Ghazinouri

They'll most probably have everything you need. I'm particularly appreciative of the fact that put effort into making many of their menu items vegan. Their beyond burger with pineapple teriyaki sauce is known to be exceptional.

Mike Wooskey

A very cool, fun place for vegan and healthy food. They play cool music, make fresh food, sell groceries. A little expensive, but I think all of Hawaii is expensive.

L B

Lots of produce. Jellies, some souveniors

Shelly Puri

Nice little store carrying snacks and a small selection of healthier options. Decent but not outstanding in terms of their plant-based / vegan selection. The part which gives it four stars is the farmers market which takes place in between the store and the ocean. Limited parking is available.

Lea Gomez

Just lots of herbal medicine and vegan food..but not the kind of farmers market I wanted

Todd Baxter

Great place to go. Fruits and vegetables so fresh. Worth the time spent

Desiree Taylor

There are really two Farmers Markets in this location. The store is open everyday and features a selection of healthy foods, including some nice smoothies. The outdoor Farmers Market is the more traditional market and open Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The outdoor market is not especially large but provides an opportunity to stock up on fresh location produce. There is plenty of fruit, some veggies, some coffee and a few other assorted items.

YVONNE CLAYTON

GREAT EXPERIENCE SHOPPING -- ENJOYED THE FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE

TheBigNiceGuy

Great meal selections. Fabulous yogurt and acai berry bowls. Glad to have found this place

James Corbin

Lots of locally made items and food. Great deals.

Eden Edmisson

The absolute best farmers market on Maui! The food so fresh, lots of organic food, the ppl who working there always so helpful, and when you spend over $25on the open market days ( Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 7am-11am) you get free smoothie!!! Love this place

Ryan Wilkin

Cool spot for fresh fruit and vegetables outside, then an awesome holelistic store as well inside, with super nice employees everytime you're there

Ryan Lynn

Tried this golden milk. A bit on the expensive side but really good stuff! We also got some 1/2 price danish and croissants. I loved the size of the local avocados too!

elindborg
